Great food, reasonable prices,, friendly, attentive staff. Great for breakfast or lunch.

My wife's and my dining out speaking and leadership club chose Cafe de France for our monthly meeting. We try to experience a different cuisine each meeting. I was really excited. The restaurant has a lovely private room for groups to take advantage of. Each of our group was greeted warmly as we arrive. We were all escorted to the private room by the hostess. The room was setup perfectly for our meeting. Our server for the evening was Lisa. Throughout the evening, she took care of us with incredible expertise. She was a very experienced server having taken care of groups of 20 or more multiple times. She took everyone's drink orders and then proceeded to take all of our entree orders. My wife decided on the Chicken Fettuccine Pasta, and I opted for the Chicken Montpellier served on a bed of fried spinach accompanied with rice and candied carrots. Oh yummy. I also ordered a Caesar salad to enjoy before my entree arrived. Shortly baskets of hot French bread was delivered to our group. Oh my goodness, it was so delicious! Crusty and OH so good. I'd have to watch myself, so I didn't stuff myself with bread. My Caesar salad was crisp and served in a chilled bowl, a very nice touch. Soon, a legion of servers came through the banquet room doors with all our entrees. I was very impressed the kitchen was able to have all entrees prepared and served hot at the same time. Wow. My Chicken Montpellier was incredible. It was decedent. The lemon sauce was perfect and the chicken breast pounded then was tender to the cut. Who would have thought about frying spinach. It was awesome along with the other two sides. I finished my delicious meal off with Turtle Cheesecake. Thank yuou Lisa for the wonderful service and thank you Cafe de France for the stellar entrees. I want to start by saying that we came here for their Valentine's night which had set menu, so this review is based only on that experience. I think they over booked because even with reservations we waited nearly a hour before we were seated. Once we got to out table, some of the items we wanted off of their preset menu were not available, which was a bummer. That being said, the scallop appetizer and the steak was good. Steak was cooked well, and veggies still had a bite to it and wasn't mush like a lot of places have. The dessert was ok - I'm not a fan of cannoli, but the tiramisu was not bad. We did get complimentary coffee because of the issues we experienced. It is a cute venue and staff was really friendly and did the best they could given the limitations they had. this is such a elegant hidden gem, it's beautiful inside, calm & quiet. i have gotten the strawberry nutella crepe a few times now, more than a dozen times. i love it so so much. the strawberries are always fresh, the portion is always generous, its my favorite. they have such a wide variety of foods & pastries, they even have a bar inside & a cute patio! i love it here every thing is so wonderful. read more

The food is good. The service was very good after a little conversation and attention to our toddler. He paid attention to our needs. We stopped going to cafe de France because of the lack of good service. We had the lady the last number of times we were there... the male waiter was much much better but the French are somewhat flat too! I've been here a number of times. It's cute, Frenchy, and food is good and the place is cozy. Today I stopped in while my son was at a football game to enjoy a Vanilla Latte, that was definitely on the sweeter side and a Nutella Crepe. Both were good. Awesome place for breakfast and brunch. If your just 2-4 ppl showing up is fine but if you are more ppl I would recommend a reservation as they are a small restaurant. I had a mimosa and the French toast breakfast. My husband had the omelette and a house coffee. Everything was delicious! They have a variety of pastries as well. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Our waiter was nice but he seemed rushed but more then likely due to the busy time. I would come back! read more

The Escargot was fantastic!!! Very quaint little café. The Croque madame is equally as delicious. Nice atmosphere.

When I arrived, as a couple tables were occupied, I was able to choose almost any table in the restaurant. While I intended to get their pancakes, by the time my coffee arrived, I decided to order the Croque Madame again. When offered a choice of hash browns or potatoes, I selected the latter. Since the crowd had not started to arrive yet, I did not wait too long. I was so eager to enjoy the dish that I forgot to pour the sauce on top. While I enjoyed the dish overall, I definitely savored the flakey, moist croissant. I enjoyed it alone and with the rest of the Croque Madame. I also enjoyed dipping the potatoes in the sauce for added flavor. During my meal, both of the waitresses came by to refill my coffee. After the first sip, I was drinking it as if I had not drank water in the past week. If I was not busy enjoying my meal, I would have had more cups. When I entered, the staff was placing a sign about their yule log. While enjoying my breakfast, a large photo of the scrumptious-looking cake was staring at me. We came as a party of 5 on the Saturday before Mother's Day. Had a reservation and Were sat immediately. There was a guitarist playing music so beautifully. Service was a little slow but it was explained to us that they were short handed in the kitchen, we understood. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our waiter was kind, he did not seem to have much knowledge on anything on the menu, as he had to continue to go back to the kitchen to ask but he never gave attitude and handled our table as timely as he could. We had delivery. Egg Croissant was very good. The home potatoes were AWFUL. Tasted like formerly frozen potatoes that had been thawed or microwaved, not fried. Delicious Almond Milk French Vanilla Lattes. Ambiance is old school charm. Service was nice. I had their eggs breakfast (scrambled) with wheat toast, crispy bacon and fried breakfast potatoes. My hubby had the eggs Benedict with hash browns. The hash browns were nice and buttery. I would definitely get the hash browns next time instead of the fried breakfast potatoes. read more

Wow, Wow, Wow! I'm so happy I didn't pass on this quaint, French restaurant! Please ignore the negative reviews. There were 4 of us in our party of friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal and service. 2 of us had the Sole Montpellier which was was some of the best sole I have eaten in my Life as a Foodie. And at the price of $16.99, it gets extra, extra points. One other friend ordered the Chicken Montpellier which was moist and tender. All 3 of the above entrees came with a light, creamy lemon sauce, fried spinach (must try!!!), the most delicious carrots, some yummy rice pilaf and a house salad. Let me just add the house creamy tarragon vinaigrette is tasty too! Our 4th person ordered the French Dip and she also thought her sandwich was a Yum! All of our food was Scrumptious!!!! Lisa was our friendly server and we will ask for her again in the future. Oh, and their breakfast looks delicious too. A quaint little cafe with some good food. We tried both soup of the days and the Shrimp St Tropez and Chicken Artichoke. We thoroughly enjoyed both entrees. For dessert, we tried tiramisu and the Italian creme cake. I definitely prefer the tiramisu. When ordering dessert, you can go up to the bakery portion where the cakes are displayed to see what you'd like. I was a bit sad that those were the only desserts offered as we really wanted some creme brûlée. I'm not sure if that's offered for a weekend lunch or was simply not mentioned by our waitress. Overall, the place has a nice atmosphere, good service and solid food. Definitely will come back to try more of the menu. read more

Husband and I were delighted to find this accessible cafe with a cozy interior, welcoming aura, reasonable prices and comforting food. If you are looking for a five star, glitzy eatery with matching costs, this is not for you. Rather, this struck us as a rather homey place, where one might return often, find a table you like, a waitress you like and work your way through the menu. Plus there turned out to be a very pleasant musician who played recognizable songs but not so loudly as to become the story, but rather add a pleasant backdrop to the evening. He also genially took requests. Again, approving or disapproving of the cafe depends on what you want at the moment. read more

Comfy Neighborhood Restaurant After shelter-in-place loosen by government, I have many chances to try different restaurants in different areas, grabbing Groupon deals because many restaurants suggest such good deals like Cafe de France. My friend and I ordered croquet monsieur, TBLT( turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, different from California's BLTA: bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, and avo), and coffee. The croquet monsieur's shape also something new, looked like omelette. Those were different from I used to have in California, but it's amazingly good that I finished everything they served me even though I ate some cookies and coffee earlier in the morning. Friendly service, even though their face masks and social distances, warming coffee and asking what we needed frequently. This is a good finding in this pandemic era. read more

I saw this place while looking for belgian waffles; so I had to come. I guess I got confused, just because they speak French in Belgium and France, it doesn't mean that the French can make a good belgian waffle; well they can't. It was too plain and, without butter or syrup, it had almost no taste. I wouldn't stop you from ordering them, but I wouldn't recommend them either. I also had a Croque Monsieur, which was very good. Very tasty ham and cheese and a savory croissant underneath. The portions are good, you are not left neither stuffed nor hungry. Honestly the food was delicious. Service was very slow but they were busy. But the reason for the 2 stars is the environment. They had a packed dining area with nearly every table filled, many of which were not socially distant, maybe 3-5 feet from someone else. They also did not wipe down the top of the tables very well between guests and did not wipe seats or sides of table at all. But the cherry on top was the fact that a racist couple who are regulars there (they talked happily with the owner and several staff throughout the meal) stared at my boyfriend and I (we are a biracial couple) for the whole meal and made us feel extremely uncomfortable with racial slurs loud enough for half the restaurant to hear. We asked to move but were informed there were no other tables to sit at and we would be put at the end of the waiting list of people waiting to be seated if we wanted to move. We ended up leaving after hearing the man call my boyfriend the n-word from across the restaurant toward the end of our meal. Being that they are regulars there, we will never return. read more

Amazingly delicious food tried the Poivre Steak- tender and very juicy Chicken Marsala - very delicious and you could smell the sweet aroma of white wine of the dish, served with French onion rice (I think) and sweet tender carrots. (It's French, not the idea of the Italian chicken Marsala!) Tomato basil- just flavorful Onion soup - very good, needs more cheese though! Crema brûlée- very flavorful cream with a very soft texture. The best of all: OATMEAL COOKIES!!! Had to place a special order of 24 cookies as a gift. They are the best in my opinion! highly recommend this place! read more
