I recently visited Cafe Dolce and found them on yelp with high ratings. They are located on a busy street inside of a plaza with plenty of parking. The café is chic, clean and trendy. They offer great seating inside with Wi-Fi. They have a nice variety of options for drinks and pastries. There is a kiosk for ordering, however we want it to ask a couple of questions so the barista was kind enough to assist us. I ordered one of their signature drinks which is the cream cap latte and it did not disappoint. My daughter ordered the matcha and she was impressed and she's kind of a matcha snob The baristas were friendly and I would definitely visit again and try something else.
My second time at cafe dolce and I came with a friend to do our studying on a Saturday morning. Pretty busy but we managed to grab some seats. They do have outlets if you bring your laptop. I ordered their pesto Danish and a hojicha latte. One of the best hojicha latte I've had in terms of it actually having a strong hojicha taste. Typically when i order one its super sweet and the hojicha is faint but this one is super smoky and nutty, love it! Will be coming here for it :)
Really enjoyed the cafe especially with open parking lot and plenty of seats. The room is bright and welcoming and lots of guests either studying and reading. The attentiveness of the staff is super amazing and calming. Thank you for making great suggestions on the pastries promo and the matcha latte really hit the spot for me. Will come back to try the other drinks but definitely come here to relax.
I came to check this place out one Friday afternoon. It wasn't super busy there were a few parties at the tables. The place was moderately sized with various sized tables. Additional seating can be found outside. It is a good place to study or hangout. We opted to order from the kiosk on side when you walk in. Though you can definitely order at the counter in the back. I tried the matcha latte with oat milk and got a 3 piece Obangtteok with red bean filling. There was an additional filling options such as Nutella or get them plain with no filling. Our drinks took around 5-10mins to prepare while Obangtteok took a little longer around 15-20mins. The matcha latte was good but alittle on the sweeter side. I think you can modify the sweetness, which I probably will the next time I come. The Obangtteok was the highlight. It was warm and right amount of crispy on the outside. Inside was fluffy and paired well with the red bean filing without it being super sweet. Overall a pretty standard cafe. The parking lot was decently sized and didn't have any issues with finding parking.
One of the cutest coffee shops I've been to! When you walk in, the strong aroma of beans and baked pastries will hit you right away! The whole shop smelled so delicious! You can place your order at the counter or there is also a kiosk to place your order on your own. Their espresso was alright I found it to be on the bitter side with a sour after taste. Both decaf and caffeinated. Therefore the affogato was a perfect combo bec you can mask the sour after taste coffee with the icecream. Their affogato here is huge! I'm sure to a small cup with a shot of espresso and a small scoops of ice cream. Here, it's more like a cup of icecream serving and a shot of espresso poured on top on your own! Their ice cream is delicious so I'm not complaining at all! I also got the 'spresso highball, which I thought was so clever and tasted refreshing but still retains that coffee taste. It was pretty strong but citrusy! I think it's the best post meal drink! People who like the more green coffee bean taste will like the espresso here. Their cookie was delicious and did I already mention so was their icecream? Service was great and plenty of space to sit and work or hand out!
Came here with my girlfriends for the first time and we thought it was cute cafe. Had huge tables and nice decor. Staffs were very friendly and tried the Hoiji cha latte for the first time. Very tasty. My friends said their chai latte was also good. Definitely will come back again to try other drinks.
As mentioned in previous reviews - there have been several coffee shops popping up along the South Bay. Three of them are on this street. Now this may sound controversial, but this is the best one. The atmosphere is very welcoming with ample seating inside, and patio seating. Additionally, the baristas are all very sweet and caring. I've had nothing but wonderful interactions with all of the staff members who ensure that the drinks are prepared fresh and to your liking. That alone is what makes this Cafe Dolce stand out from over half of the coffee shops on this side of town. I tried a couple of their drinks (by the way, they offer a great mix of traditional and fun drinks): - Cream cap latte - which is sweet cream mixed with two shots of espresso. I really enjoy this one. It's strong and remind's me of Flat White's Einspanner. - matcha smash - I was very spectical on this drink. Its matcha with citrus lemon mixed with mint. and I think club soda or mineral water (correct me if I am wrong here). This was surprisingly delicious and perfect for heatwaves and summer drinks. - hot matcha latte - my friend and I got to try this when we were catching up on life and it was delicious and the person who made the drink had the perfect latte art and it made me happy. thank you : ) They also have fresh pastries including this one that was like a bagel but it was croissant - I want another one as I am typing this review. Now, there was a yelper who said that drip coffee is $3.50 for 4oz. Sadly California is expensive now. Drip coffee for $3.50 is actually on the cheaper end considering drip coffee at other places are $4.50 - $5. Anyways, I am rarely in this part of town but when I am - this is the go to place for great coffee. Yes there 3 coffee shops on the block, but I recommend you skip them and go here.
Went out to dinner with coworkers and this place caught the corner of my eye, literally. So I already had dessert on my mind. Walked in and wanted ice cream. The beautiful Kayla greeted me and walked me through the menu. She was super chill and has positive vibes. Pointed out the pastries and I was sold. Ice cream and a warmed up pastry on top of my heavy dinner. Winning. If ever you're in the area, definitely check this spot out.
Awesome find in the South Bay. Truly on a whim and many places were closed, this spot had later hours. There was plenty of parking in a shared lot with other businesses. I was interested in the matcha, it sure didn't disappoint. Presented nicely and in a festive cup. For close yo closing, it was quite packed with friends socialing and some people working. Lighting was dim inside.
3.5 stars rounding up to 4. Love how this cafe has a lot of seating inside and it's a fairly quiet space to get some work done or meet up with a friend. The space is clean and brightly lit. They have a variety of coffee drinks and tea drinks on their menu as well as a few caffeine-free kid friendly options which I appreciated. I got the Cream Cap which is their iced americano with house-made cream on top. I also got a misugaru smoothie for my daughter. Both drinks were okay but not amazing. The cream cap was a little more acidic and not as smooth as I expected. Next time, I want to try one of their matcha drinks. They also sell some pastries and sandwiches. If I'm comparing the drinks alone, I'd prefer Chrome Coffee down the street but this space has its own charm with more of a stay and study kind of feel. Service was fine, no complaints. Being a big coffee connoisseur, I was so excited to see the sign that Cafe Dolce is now open! Located in the same plaza as Jang Su Jang, this new coffee shop is currently in their soft opening phase. Their hours for now is 8am to 8pm daily (subject to change). I was excited to check this place out that I ended up getting there a bit early today around 7:30am. They weren't quite open yet but the owner/barista was so kind and opened up early when he saw me waiting. This new spot is so cute and welcoming. One wall has a colorful artwork painted by artist and illustrator @rfx.one. They have lots of seating featuring comfy straw chairs and tables with fresh flowers. The soft menu consists of a variety of coffee drinks from drip coffee to cappuccinos and lattes. They've also got teas and smoothies. For food they have pastries from baked bar LA. In the afternoon they offer ice cream treats. I spotted an ube latte ($6.50) on the menu and being the big ube fan that I knew right away that I wanted to order this. I also got a drip coffee with vanilla bean syrup for my mom ($3.50), a cinnamon twist ($4) and a chocolate hazelnut almond croissant ($7). Both of the coffee drinks were excellent. In chatting with the owner/barista he told me he really wants to provide quality coffee drinks. The vanilla bean syrup is freshly made in house and I was so impressed when I tried my mom's drip coffee. It had just the right sweet hint of vanilla. My ube latte was equally as good. It has that ube flavor and made for a perfect pair for the pastries. I enjoyed the cinnamon twist pastry. This was one huge piece and great with coffee. The chocolate hazelnut almond croissant was also delightful. It had the perfect flaky exterior and sweet dark chocolate paste interior. Food and drinks were definitely on point here. I was also impressed with the service. The owner was so nice and I enjoyed learning about his vision and hearing about future plans which include offering breakfast foods and more desserts in the future. You can definitely tell his heart is in this and he wants to offer the best coffee and food experience to his customers. Today was a wonderful first visit. Place is tucked inside of a nondescript plaza but it is buzzing with chatter and keyboards clicks from clientele. It is very well kept with love and care detailed all throughout the outside towards the inside of this cafe. This place provides a pretty distinct and interesting menu with an array of caffeinated drinks and even some kid friendly drink options. Service was prompt and amicable, will definitely revisit again when I am in the area! read more

Perfect picture of a go-to neighborhood coffee shop! Plenty of seats and parking spaces (plus plus points in LA!), chillin' vibes with not overwhelming background music, super sweet barista, and obviously most important - DELIGHTFUL COFFEE! Their cutesy wall decoration and setting were the first to hook me, but the fact that they carried Little Marionette coffee certainly made it more appealing. I loved Little Marionette as its beans surely reminded me of the coffee I got in Aussie, which I still thought as the country carrying my most favorite cups of joe. Obviously it went back to preference, but mine was non-acidic with bold aroma and smooth finishing. I was pleased by the flavor play Cafe Dolce brought into its menu as it's offering fun one like Ube. I got mine hot and absolutely loved it. It came sweetened just at the level I precisely fancied, and the ube taste wasn't overwhelming, still let the coffee gots its spotlight. They're still on soft opening but the opening hour was pretty long, reaching 8pm in the evening so you could get your pick-me-up until pretty late. They also served pastries from Baked Bar, one of my favorite bakeries in town. Prolly room for improvement was if they could get the pastries warmed-up pre-serving given it must have been staying there for awhile on the showcase. I got the Almond Financier, which I was doubtless would taste better if served warm. read more

I came here on a Sunday morning and it wasn't too busy. Everything was super cute inside and outside, loved the atmosphere and vibes. The workers were really nice and quick with service. I ordered the crème cap latte and it was pretty good. You can actually taste the espresso and I like the fact that the crème was the only part that was sweet. read more

What a cute coffee shop that my friend recommended! I tried the house made syrup and the ube latte both with almond milk. I really wanted to like my drink but idk for some reason my coffee tasted burnt :( Maybe I didn't mix it enough or should have gotten w the standard milk option LOL Will def come back to try the matcha! Tucked away in a small place wiith two other korean eateries, this new café has already made quite the entrance. It was nearly at full capacity when I stopped by on a Sunday around noon, impressive, considering it's a fairly spacious spot with plenty of seating and a few cozy tables outside for those who prefer their lattes with a side of sunshine. The space is bright, airy and on the minimalistic aestethic side. I ordered an iced matcha latte, and I'm happy to report that it was no faint, milky imitation - the matcha actually stood its ground and shone through. My drink was handed to me quickly, which only added to the experience... There's nothing like having to wait 30 min for simply a drink. I can easily see this place becoming a go-to for student, remote workers or anyone looking for a calm corner to chat with friends while sipping on their favourite drink. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other drinks, maybe their Nutella Latte. read more
Clean & bright cafe, even on a rainy day. My friends said their coffee was good. I got hojicha latte & it had a good balance of sweetness & the tea flavor. Orange tteok is similar to boong-uh-ppang but we (my friends & I) prefer the latter. The place was packed & steady stream of customers came in. The person who took the order could have been friendlier & more welcoming. She looked unhappy working & repeated the orders to us in a barely audible voice. !!! Rip off ALERT !!! Drip coffee is $3.50 for a teeny weeny cup (4 oz?). Not even that good or coffee. Drip coffee is probably the highest margin beverage in a coffee shop and they're skimping. Refill is another $3.50. What a rip off. And one last thing. Super aggressive tip shaming at the point of sale. read more

The Matcha latte that I got was really good and sweetened per my request, the pastry was also decent. The interior is also nice and modern, and the service was good. There is a kiosk that you can order from but I decided to just have someone take my order as it was my first time there. This is a good spot to study or socialize. The bathroom is also pretty clean . The parking lot has plenty of parking. The Wi-Fi available is decent to connect your devices and I didn't have any problems. read more

The cutest freaking cafe in the South Bay! Not many study cafes in the area that are open past 5pm but this one is and it is an absolute gem. Kayla is the sweetest barista I've ever had! She gave me suggestions on the menu and helped me find one of my new favorite drinks. I love everything about this cafe, it's so cozy & chic. This place is cute and very spacious! The Matcha Splash is one of their cignatures and it adds some unique sour/mint flavor to your matcha! I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for something sweet, but if you're looking to add some kick to your matcha, it's the drink for you! Service was quick too! read more

My go-to spot for studying, great coffee, and even better vibes! I've been coming to this coffee shop regularly to study with friends, and it's honestly become one of my favorite places in town. The environment is perfect! It's calm, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed with plenty of comfortable seating and good lighting. Whether we're grinding through assignments or just catching up, it always feels like the right place to be. The staff deserve a special shoutout, they're incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely seem to care about creating a great experience for everyone who walks through the door. It's the kind of place where they remember your order and ask how your day is going. Especially Zaldy! He's the epitome of excellent customer service (friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind) Great coffee, delicious food, great people, great atmosphere. Can't recommend it enough! read more

This place is so cute, the coffee is SO GOOD. I like my coffee a little bitter, and mixing it with the cream cap YUMMY. Their cream is THICK, everything had good flavor. The pastries were so good too. Here studying with my boyfriend and the seating is good outside and in. I had to go back in for more. As you can see, i demolished it before I thought about taking a pic. The workers are so nice and funny too. 10/10 read more

The seasonal Banana Misu Shake was good but I thought the topping was a fresh sliced banana.It was like a little thick banana chip.The chocolate chip was a little less sweeter than the chocolate chip I get from Starbucks which is great.The service is really good.The baristas are nice and patient with my food buddy's questions. read more

I tried their spanish latte and spinach danish pastry. The coffee was alright, although the beans were a little burnt since it tasted toasty. The pastry was a little overpriced ($6) but honestly undterstandable since this cafe can get crowded with people studying/working for hours. They have to upcharge somehow to get profit. Has lots of tables, but i was only able to spot one charging station (so if you're going here to be productive make sure your devices are charged). The spot has very nice lighting bc of the big windows, i was very productive during my stay! It can get hella busy though and thats when it gets too much bc the coffee shop isn't that spacious. Could be overwhelming when it's busy bc of the crowd. Also! Has a parking lot so you don't have to fight for your life to park LOL read more

This place is legit! This is our second visit in three days. My wife and I are excited there is FINALLY a craft coffee shop in our neighborhood here in Torrance. We had the Matcha Smash - very refreshing, vanilla late and their espresso. Have enjoyed everything we have tried so far. I talked to the staff about the quality and care they put into the product. From where they source their beans, peak time to brew post roast, quality of water, home made syrups. They're really blending art and science and you can definitely experience it in the product. read more

I met a couple of friends here last month. I tried their Ube Moo Shake and Affogato. They were both delicious. After I drank half of the moo shake though, the sweetness started to get to me a bit. I think I over did it on the sweets this day. This was a great place for us to have our meetup. It wasn't crowded and they are open until 8pm. read more

Checked out Cafe Dolce in Torrance, one of the newer coffee places in the South Bay. Their menu leans into coffee, matcha, and other specialty drinks. The Cream Cap Latte was smooth and balanced, really easy to sip, and the Berry Good Matcha stood out with a fresh, slightly sweet flavor that wasn't overpowering. On the snack side, the Obang Tteok had a soft, chewy texture with a solid red bean filling, and the Blood Orange Blueberry Muffin was surprisingly fresh and flavorful, with just the right hint of citrus. Service was friendly and efficient, even with a steady flow of people coming in. It's the kind of place that fits anywhere from a casual hang to a quick coffee run, even a work or study session. Definitely a solid addition to the South Bay coffee scene. read more
