We snagged reservations at Cafe Orleans a few times, and I've been coming here for years and remembered loving the sandwiches. What used to feel like a half sandwich now looks closer to a quarter left. What surprised us was my new favorite dish from this visit. It was actually the provencal beans and herb pesto salad. Feeling fresh and cool and also a nice break from all the heavier park food. The gumbo was comforting too, though I wish they were a little more generous with the sausage. I got the plate version and even then it was only good to share as an appetizer I feel like. For entree, the shrimp pasta leaned way too salty for me. Service was excellent though. Our server was super attentive and kept checking in on us with drinks even while the restaurant was busy. Inside seating is honestly such a good escape from socal heat. But personally, sitting outside, there's just something fun about people-watching in New Orleans Square while taking a breather from the park chaos!
Giving this place a 4 start because our server Jannie was amazing!! Very attentive and sweetheart!! I ordered the chicken Caesar salad w/ chicken and it was 3/5. Wish they had avocados though!! We ordered a glass of Meiomi wine that was of course good !! The ambiance was perfect! We sat outside right in the center of a show that was very beautiful!!! Since we sat outside the ground was a lil dirty from previous patrons sitting, and I'm sure kids being kids but it was decent clean. We were hungry so it's good to find something convenient while walking many miles at Disney lol it's pretty spacious with many tables. I will come back to get a glass of meiomi again for sure! -Marshay D.
We made reservations for Cafe Orleans but because of the size of our party it was made under two separate reservations at two different but close times. We went a little early to see if we could possibly combine the two so we would be able to sit together at the same time. They were more than accommodating and were even able to seat us a little earlier. The food and service were excellent. I had the short ribs and replaced the rice with mashed potatoes. The meat was so tender and had a wonderful flavor. We ordered a side of Pommes frites and even though it was a small portion we still shared between three people and they were excellent. The creme brulee was perfectly prepared with the perfect texture and sugar top. The outside patio offered great views of the rivers of America and we saw the boats go by and of course amazing people watching too.
My husband and I typically plan one single special meal together when we are at any of the Disney parks. Since we were there for Lunar New Year, we figured we would just throw in a Valentine's date that we hadn't had yet. Blue Bayou is extremely difficult to get reservations for, so Cafe Orleans ended up being our second choice. Located in the French Quarter, it was charming and whimsical, with a touch of class. We were seated facing the street, as requested, and it was fun to people watch. Service members were attentive and inquisitive. The speed at which items arrived was a little on the slower side, but we didn't mind savoring the moment. I ended up getting the battered and fried monte cristo sandwich, with seasonal preserves and a caesar salad. This was one of the best versions of a monte cristo I've ever had. The ham and turkey with melted Swiss was encased in what looked like a very large beignet. It was incredibly airy and pillowy on the inside. And the exterior was perfectly golden brown, dusted in a hint of powdered sugar. This was a wonderful marriage of sweet and savory. I did not feel like my taste buds were overwhelmed at all by the potential heaviness of the sandwich components. In any case, the caesar salad was very overdressed and slightly soggy, but it served as an excellent palate cleanser. My husband ordered the braised beef short rib platter. The meat was very flavorful and was so incredibly tender. The mushroom demi-glacé just soaked into the meat and also was a lovely accompaniment to the vegetables. Overall it was much more than I would have expected from a park restaurant. I was very pleased with the quality of the food, presentation, the pricing, ambience, and staff service. Don't let this sleeper pass you by!
Definitely a place everyone visiting Disneyland should try at least once especially if they're not able to snag a reservation at Blue Bayou. However, I would recommend setting up a reservation here too and don't be shy about having an early dinner either because you might be able to get a nice patio seat where you can dine, people watch as well as watch the Mark Twain riverboat pass by every so often, like my family did with a 4:50pm dinner reservation. A dish that's not to be missed is the Monte Cristo fried sandwich. Absolutely decadent but it's a classic for a reason. Even if you're suffering from multiple comorbidities, go for it! Or at the very least, hopefully you're dining with another person who can order it and you can have a bite. It's almost like a blend of Navajo fry bread and Chinese Youtiao/oil bread sticks and my dish also came with some strawberry jam that added a nice complimentary sweetness to this salty and savory mixture. My wife ordered the braised short rib. It was tender and flavorful but the glaze was a little too sweet for her tastes especially since she was watching her blood sugar levels. She was actually considering ordering one of the pastas but I convinced her that the alfredo cream sauces + the carbs from the pasta would have done the same to her blood sugar level as the demi glace that was on the short rib and plus this is Disneyland so just let loose a little!
Glad we got to eat inside the air conditioned restaurant. It was a 45 min wait without a reservation at lunchtime. Cute NOLA vibes. I ordered the triple cheese monte cristo. So good & unique. The dipping sauce was sweet & delicious. The French fries were perfection. My husband loved the chicken Alfredo pasta. The staff was attentive. We had our drinks filled the whole time. Restrooms aren't inside the restaurant, you have to go around the corner to the park restrooms.
Drew, the server was 100% on point and amazing. The patio is a great place to have a relaxing meal and the food is the best in the park. It sharses a kitchen and chefs with Blue Bayou. I had the shrimp pasta- amazing. And my friend had the monte cristo. He loved that too. Just a good place to eat. Theme park soendy, but good.
3/31/26 We booked a Fantasmic Pre-fix Dinner reservation for $64/pp which includes a 3 course dinner (stater, main and dessert). Children over 9 have to book an adult meal. Everything costs a lot these days but if it can give us preferred seating for a show, we feel like it's worth it to not fight a crowd to sit on the floor and enjoy the show with your kids. Like all dining reservations at the park, each restaurant will ask for a CC to hold seating and if you no show, the can and will charge a fee. Reservations here can be cancelled over 2 hours before. You are also able to check in at least 20 mins before your rsvp. We did and got seated 10 mins before our RSVP timeslot. We ordered to start 2 cups of gumbo, Caesar salad and a calamari. Pretty yummy and descent side size outside of the gumbo which was really small cups. My partner ordered the short rib and Cajun shrimp with rice for a $10 adder with asparagus. The braised beef was very beefy. Best portion of the table. The pasta entrees (ordered 2 shrimp and one chicken) were smaller than expected in size. My teenager kid was like is this not going to fill me at all. The chicken was extremely dry. The Cajun shrimp was seasoned well but pasta was overcooked and really soft. Portions were smaller than your usual from franchise pasta restaurants. The dessert was disappointing. We were given 2 choices and ordered 2 of each. Vanilla bean creme brûlée with blueberries and 2 chocolate decadence tarts. The creme brûlée lacked any real flavor. It was just a custard on a tasteless tart. The chocolate decadence tart was really decadent. Like you need milk or coffee with it. I am still not quite sure what the mousse rock dome was as it was tasteless inside the chocolate shell. It had a small berry filling. If they swapped this for vanilla ice cream, it would be the perfect pairing! Food, Portions and price was an overall on a good day would probably be less than a 2.5. Kristina our server, service was great! She was attentive and was full on 5 stars! Our fantasmic seating was great (get there at 8pm for a 9pm showing) for best seats. Would I do it again? 50/50 - if you have young kids, yes 100%! If your kids are older than 10 and can hold their own in standing views, I'd get them what they want to eat and tough it with the crowds :P
Got a reservation at Cafe Orleans and was excited to try it out! I usually never do sit-down restaurants while at Disney so this was a nice change of pace. Everything looked and smelled delicious. The gumbo was my favorite! It was creamy and umami, and portion size was filling for a bowl size. The short rib was a tad on the salty side, but meshed well with the rice and was very tender! The Caesar salad was a nice palate cleanser but a bit too overdressed, the dressing was getting too creamy and salty by the end. The Monte Cristo was yummy too but definitely needs to be shared as it's a bit too doughy if I ate it all myself. The workers are nice and came by to check on us throughout the meal. Nice area to sit and people watch while enjoying a yummy meal and listening to music!
Glad we chose this restaurant to eat inside Disneyland. The vibe inside the restaurant was New Orleans but, not over the top. We did not make reservations before entering the park. We did walk up and were told it would be 45 minutes. So we put our names in and they texted us. The more upscale restaurant nearby had no availability for the whole day. Guest reserve the upscale restaurant a long time in advance. The servers kept our soda pop and water topped off. The food was really good. The Pasta Chicken Alfredo was probably the best that I have ever had. Disclaimer - I don't order Pasta Chicken Alfredo often. The Cheese Monte Cristo was great but, really rich.

I'd booked this restaurant well in advance when I heard we'd be going to Disneyland, so I was excited to try some of their New Orleans inspired eats. I assumed I'd just get their prix fix option but we'd already eaten quite a bit, so I instead decided to grab a single entree. I finally settled on the Chicken and Andouille ("Corn, Heirloom Potatoes and Charred Okra in a Cajun Sauce with Steamed Rice") mostly because I was in the mood for a saucy stew. It arrived a short time later and looked...different than I was anticipating. I was expecting a saucy stew I could just shovel into my mouth, but this concoction came with several pieces of chicken and chunks of corn on the cob. It wouldn't have been my first choice, but once I started tearing into the chicken and corn, I found I was really enjoying this dish. It was very strongly seasoned, to the extent where my first few bites seemed too salty. But the more I ate it, the more I seriously enjoyed this stew. It was just so flavorful and addictive, and I could've eaten a lot more than I received, that's for sure. I also tried their House Hurricane ("Pimm's No 1, Bacardi Superior Rum, Orange Juice, Strawberry Puree, Sweet & Sour Simple Syrup and Orange Garnish") and it was also seriously delicious. A little low on the alcohol content admittedly, but I enjoyed the heck out of it. read more
Cafe Orleans has been one of my favorite sit down restaurants in Disneyland solely because of the monte cristo sandwich. The monte cristo is a really good balance between sweet and savory; I would call it a sweet grilled cheese. It's pretty heavy so I'd recommend sharing this. During my last visit, I noticed that the recipe seems to have changed and although it's still really good, it didn't blow me away like it used to; I'd say the breading now is tastes thicker and more bready whereas the bread before reminded me more of French toast. Regardless, I'd still say it's worth ordering while you're here! The monte cristo comes with a side of fries and WOW this was delicious! I'd say the recipe for this also changed, however, I'd say the change was an improvement. The fries were perfectly crispy and seasoned really well. The food here overall is pricier, but that is to be expected for a sit down restaurant in a theme park. You can either make a reservation here or join the walk up wait list. Reservations book up pretty quickly, so you should be sure to book early if you want to get in for sure. My party joined the waitlist during our last trip and we're quoted a 60 minute wait but it only took us about 45 minutes which was nice. They have both indoor and outdoor seating here, but I like sitting outdoors because the view of Disneyland from the patio is really nice. The service here is so-so; although the workers were friendly, it's a bit slow and they initially gave another table our order and the server didn't notice the mistake until both our tables pointed it out. read more

After many Disneyland trips full of grab-and-go snacks and mini-meals, my friends and I decided to finally have a proper sit-down meal during a park visit. And it turned out to be such a good decision. We landed on Cafe Orleans because of their Haunted Mansion inspired Prix Fixe. For $45 you got to choose 1 of 2 appetizer options, 1 of 6 entrees choices, and 1 of 2 dessert options. I chose the Potato and Sausage Soup, Seafood Boil, and Haunted Mansion Candle dessert. Soup: good but could have used a tad more seasoning. Would get again. Seafood Boil: good but much spicier than I expected. I don't consider myself a wimp for spice but this had me sweating. Dessert: absolutely incredible. The presentation, the creativity, the taste - 10/10. With an impressive array of sit-down options, Disneyland has definitely peaked my interest to try another full-service restaurant during my next visit. read more

I always love it here and most recently came specifically to try the Haunted Mansion Prix Fixe menu. For $45 I think it was well worth it and our server Matthew was the absolute best. We celebrated my sons birthday and enjoyed such delicious food. I ordered the gumbo for my appetizer which was full of flavor. For my entree I selected the braised beef which was 10/10 and so tender, wow I'm still salivating. For dessert of course I had to try the Haunted Mansion candlestick mousse. So delicious and not overly sweet. The vanilla mousse (candle) was so good and the base was a cookie, chocolate handle and raspberry blood splatter. Soooo good! Definitely must try this is you stop by! read more
We were able to score a last minute reservation on the Disneyland app for 7:50pm. We were seated rather quickly, but it took a moment for our server to come to the table. All of the food was delicious with the beef Bourguignon topping the charts with flavor! The bad side to this restaurant is that the kitchen closes right at 9pm and our server came up to our table letting us know that and rushing us to order dessert if we wanted it. By 9pm the bus boy had to collect everything off the table even if we were still eating. They provided Togo containers and plastic silverware to finish eating. They did let you stay at your table. This upset my entire party. If the kitchen closes at 9pm then why are you allowing reservations between 750-8pm. It makes no sense!! read more

Came back again for the Beef Buguignon and the famous Monte Cristo! Highly recommend these to when you check out Cafe Orleans! We ate out on the patio with a lovely view of the water and Tom Sawyers island. The service staff are very friendly and nice. This one one of my favorite spots for food at Disneyland! read more
We had reservations this past Thursday for lunch time. Checking in was easy and the staff was semi attentive. We had their Prix Fixe menu deal and I also had their Pimm's Hurricane drink. The alcohol drink was semi strong though... so 6/10 The Monte Cristo sandwich 10/10 The cup of chicken gumbo soup 8/10 Brother's Panzanella salad 9/10 he says Creme brûlée 10/10 Haunted Mansion Candle and Heart Dessert 10/10 I probably go back with a reservation again. read more
One of the better sit down restaurants at Disneyland in my opinion. Located in New Orleans Square, in between the Pirates of the Caribbean ride & Haunted Mansion ride. I do recommend getting a reservation which is much easier to get at this place vs. Blue Bayou. The food is great. Service is great. Definitely our one of our go-to restaurants for every DL trip. Inside is a little small so I recommend asking to sit outside (so you can people watch whilst you eat). Funny story the last time we ate here: We got seated at our table, got our drinks, & then after a bit of waiting finally got our food. We were starving. As I'm literally taking my first bite, the fire alarm goes off. Everyone is confused including the cast members/waiters. I keep eating because the food is so good. They evacuate everyone & shut down the whole New Orleans Square because all the buildings are connected. They gave the option of leaving & not having to pay for the food you were eating or wait for an unknown amount of time until they cleared the area. Welp. Food was so good & we were tired from walking all day anyway. Waiting almost an hour but they sat us back down & gave us all freshly cooked dishes. Loved iiiit. Food was worth the wait & the drama. 2/5: Vegetarian here for a plant-based/vegan review! We dined here on a Friday night, and service was faster than other sit-down restaurants we've tried at Disneyland/California adventures. We were seated on an outdoor patio area that had a slight view of the water by New Orleans square. The food: For the entree, I ordered the Ratatouille Farro Risotto and it was definitely not for me. The rice felt a bit undercooked and it tasted sour overall as it was drenched in Balsamic Vinaigrette. There were some squashes, baby tomatoes, and some sort of pepper (mildly spicy). I also tasted vegan cheese in the risotto but it was not mixed in and cooked down well, so it just had a strange aftertaste. I only finished a third of my entree. For dessert, I ordered the crème brûlée which tasted a bit like incredibly sweet pudding. We didn't get the crunchy crème brûlée shell, because it may have been made way in advance. I didn't order the plant based appetizer, which was a salad, but it's also an option for folks. My friend ordered a chicken gumbo which she enjoyed but deemed it a bit too salty, and a shrimp pasta which she did not like. The TLDR? Good vibes, but a bit pricy for what you're given, especially when the food is less than tasty. If you're also plant-based, I'd skip this one! read more
Great spot! Got to chat with local celebrities Princess Tiana and that scallywag Cpt. Jack Sparrow! I had the 3 Cheese Monte Cristo, and let me tell you... this could honestly feed 3!! Crunchy and rich, this sandwich is simultaneously light AND heavy. The raspberry dipping sauce complemented the dish, so it was very well balanced! Beware the portion sizes are huge, and it will behard to stop yourself if you don't share!!! read more

Always a must when coming to Disneyland. The service is always very good and they let me check in earlier than my reservation time because I was starving lol! The patio is very relaxing as you can people watch as well. This time I got the short rib which was phenomenal as well as a super cold glass of Chardonnay. read more
Had the Monte cristo sandwich with a petit salad, and a Mint Julep. The sandwich was yummy. It is rare to find Monte cristo sandwiches anywhere, so this was a real treat. The mint julep was super refreshing. The service was fast and the workers were very attentive. read more

Made reservations for two here for our anniversary as soon as I saw their new Haunted Mansion Prix Fixe meal for $45 a person that includes a three course meal with an amazing looking candle dessert. A little annoyed that we had checked in 20mins early but were not seated until 20 minutes after our reservation time. But we did get a great table at the front patio area. Our server was fantastic constantly refilling our mint juleps. The gumbo soup and dessert were the stars of our meal. I would not order the seafood boil nor Monte Cristo sandwich again but would definitely be back to try something new. The seafood boil was a tad too salty and needed more rice to balance it out. Though a favorite for many, the Monte Cristo sandwich was too heavy for my tastes. We should have shared the prix fixe option and then getting a second entree. It was a lot of food for one person and I wish I wasn't so full before starting the delicious candle dessert. read more

In my opinion, this restaurant is underrated. To be fair, I've only eaten there once, but after my most recent experience, I will definitely be back. My boyfriend and I have Magic Keys so go to Disneyland at least once per month (and often multiple times). We went to experience the $45 Haunted Mansion prix fixe menu. First, the portions are so generous that our server Daniel rightfully recommended for us to share one meal. It was definitely more than enough for the both of us! We started off with the gumbo; delicious! I have had it at other locations in Disneyland, including Royal Veranda and Harbor Galley. They all taste equally delicious! Our main dish was seafood boil, and in my opinion, this was the star of our meal! It was so well balanced and seasoned; it also had just enough of a spicy kick to make it interesting but not too spicy. The vanilla mousse "candle" dessert was also yummy! The service was impeccable throughout; Daniel was very friendly and helpful. This restaurant is a great spot that can accommodate being casual to a little dressy. I should add that my boyfriend and I went to New Orleans this past February and agreed that the food here was better than most of the food we had while in New Orleans. Absolutely amazing food and service. It was our first time having dinner here and we all were impressed with our food. Even my nieces kid's mac and cheese was delicious. The jam that came with our sandwiches was to die for. If you like sweet&salty, dip your fries in the jam. You're welcome! Can't wait to come back. read more
We had a reservation on a weekday for a late lunch and it was extremely busy. Customers and servers walking left and right. Crowds waiting/lining up outside. It's a really cute shop where we got to sit inside but it's quite small. Most of the seating will be outside in the patio area. However, service is super great and friendly and they actually care about some small attention to detail items. Sandwich and frites: Get. Deceptively filling and also very tasty. A nice flakey bread with loads of meat. Double fried fries was fluffy and dipped in that sauce was great. They gave us double sauces because they saw that we were sharing our items so that was super nice of them. (Seasonal) Mardi Gras cream puff: Skip Only if you can handle the sweetness overload but otherwise it's not worth it. Banana flavor was quite overpowering and after one bite I was satiated. Burrata: Skip This really lacked depth that a good prosciutto or balsamic would complete. Instead it fell flat and was like eating crispy bacon on globs of goo. Mint Julip: Get It's basically just like any sugar water drink but honestly on a hot summer day it hits the spot. There's free refills and they're really good at keeping you topped off. Cafe Orleans is right in New Orleans Square near the Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion rides. This is one of the restaurants my family and I like to dine when given a chance to go to Disneyland. I do highly recommend making reservations beforehand if you plan on checking out Cafe Orleans as it can sometimes be difficult to just walk in to dine. After checking in for our reservation, we waited no longer than 10 minutes for them to prepare our table and luckily it was inside during our visit as it was in the high 80s/low 90s when we came to visit! They do have limited seating on the inside but there is plenty of seating also on the patio outside though they are mostly covered in umbrellas on those hot days. My son ordered their Monte Cristo that comes with fries or salad...he picked the fries of course. The Monte Cristo is always a favorite with our family as it is a battered sandwich filled with turkey, ham and swiss with their preserves. Its got that nice balance of sweet and savory. This was his first time trying it and he loved it! It was such a big portion that he only ate half and shared with the rest of us. Fries are fried crispy but soft on the inside and not oily at all! My daughter ordered the Pasta Jambalaya and thoroughly enjoyed her f fill of pasta. Definitely filling for sure and incredibly flavorful of all those cajun spices. I ordered the Red Wine-braised short-rib that comes with mashed potato, roasted mushrooms in black garlic Jus. The short rib was mouth watering and so tender that once you place it in your mouth, the goodness just melts! So much savory flavor that was cooked to perfection! Each were all enjoyed and filled our bellies full. Service was definitely first class. The cast member assisting us was always there when needed and our glasses were never empty. If you're looking for delicious food with top-notch service in Disneyland, Cafe Orleans is one of the many places to check out! read more

October 24, 2025. They were able to seat a party of 8. The service was pretty good. The ambiance was nice. For Disneyland, the prices weren't too crazy. The food was good all around. Everyone enjoyed what they ate. I had Cristo sandwich, which is supposed to be one of their most popular items. It was good. We also got the Braised Beef Short Rib, a winner! Whatever you do, don't get the fries. Skip the fries. They're terrible. Nobody at the table liked their fries, including the kids. We tried getting a table next door at Blue Bayou, but there were no reservations available. We tried reserving the minute reservations opened up, but no luck. Word is, the food is better and cheaper at Cafe Orleans. Look for other review for Carthay Circle across the way at California Adventure. read more

Just okay tbh. I remember the Monte Cristo tasting a lot better and was bigger a couple of years ago. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to try to eat here The fries were good though lol. The gumbo was good, but could have been better with more spice (and a bigger portion for $8). Service was lacking. Took forever to get our food and I noticed tables that were seated after us be able to order and get their meals before us (when they ordered the same things). read more

AMBIANCE: This restaurant is in the New Orleans area of Disneyland. There is minimal indoor seating and lots of outdoor seating. I love the outdoor seating for the theme park atmosphere and people watching. The only downfall of sitting outside can be the things that fall from the trees. They have umbrellas, but they don't protect everything. SERVICE: Our server was great and knowledgeable. FOOD: We did the pre-fixe menu. We loved & devoured the panzanella salad (croutons, tomatoes, artichoke hearts with a basil vinaigrette). I opted for the cheese monte cristo. It was a bit dry, but it was still good. Someone in my party opted for the pasta jambalaya and loved it. The dessert was a vanilla mousse in the shape of a candle with a real flame. It is very photo worthy as a dessert, but it actually tasted good, too! OVERALL: I would visit again - especially if they have the panzanella salad or a really good pre-fixe menu. read more
Had a fabulous time at Cafe Orleans. The food was delicious, the company was great, and our server (Alan) was amazing!!! He was refilling before I can even ask. He was there before I even looked. Cafe Orleans inside Disney land first time here but it was recommended by the staf. There was a wait time of 30 minutes but it was much quicker than that. Pretty disappointed after my previous visit, which was pretty good (back in December of 2019). I made a reservation online via Disney a few months ago for dinner at 5:30PM. You can check in 20 minutes prior to your reservation via the Disney app and then check in with the host, that was smooth. They also offer joining the walkup list via the app. The menu has changed drastically and has also become smaller. Sadly, you can no longer order pommes frites separately. Additionally, the Monte Cristo is much smaller (2 smaller sandwich halves instead of 4 three years ago, as you can see from my photos). Really disappointing, still good but wow so much smaller. I would say they're not that shareable now unless you snacked in the park prior. The pommes frites are now offered as a side to the Monte Cristo and instead of the thin cut ones they're now more steak fry-like. Still good, but not the same. $22 My parents opted for the shrimp pasta- honestly really mediocre, not much flavor besides salty parmesan. Shrimp was on the larger side but could've tasted more fresh. Serving was also quite small for what it was. $24 The chicken gumbo was a tad salty, but super flavorful and actually one of the better things I ate. $8 Service is efficient, they check in once. It was my dad's birthday and I listed that on my reservation. Not even a peep from my server or anyone else. The Disney magic is not as magical as I remembered. I probably won't be back anymore, I'll just stick to snacking on the food stands/grab and go service in the parks, the restaurant scene in Disney is no longer worth the price tag. If you are looking for some great food and a sit down experience while at Disney this is the place. We originally wanted to go to Blue Bayou but it's tough to get a reservation there. So we tried Cafe Orleans which is right next door and had very similar menu offerings. From start to finish the customer service was top notch. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating which is what you expect from the Disney brand. The food was incredibly flavorful and the portions were perfect. I was also excited to see that the black owned wine brand, The McBride Sisters, was featured on the menu. The Beef Bourguignon was incredibly tender and I didn't even need a knife to cut it. The red wine sauce was delectable and penetrated the meat and veggies in the dish. If you are looking for a nice sit down experience instead of the usual fast food options while at Disney this is the place! read more
One of my favorite restaurants in Disneyland!! Everything I have tried here I have liked. The food isn't your typical terrible theme park food, and the price is not bad. I recommend getting a reservation on the Disney app before your trip to secure a time slot, or try to get a reservation the day of. If not, the wait could be an hour or more or no availability. The gumbo is super tasty! It is packed with flavor!! It is very Cajun, so if you don't like Cajun or pepper, you may not like it. They put rice in the gumbo which soaks up the broth and makes it soooo good! The beef short rib and grits is also very tasty. The meat is not tough, and you get a good portion. The gravy is very good. The fries were surprisingly good. The monte cristo is tasty and decadent. It is a mixture of sweet and savory. Been to Disneyland numerous times on my annual pass, but Cafe Orleans wasn't really on my radar. Decided to grab a semi-last minute reservation for here since we wanted to do some sitdown dining with our friends who weren't annual passholders. All I can say is...why haven't I come here earlier? The menu is not huge, but unlike most Disney restaurants, the food's actually quality and worth the price. A quick rundown: 1. Cup of Chicken Gumbo: I wish they had this in a bigger size than appetizer level. Not the best gumbo, but I wanted some in my life. Got the job done. 2. Provincial Little Gem Caesar Salad: This Caesar salad was a bit of a surprise to me as the romaine lettuce was not chopped up, but instead served in quarter heads. And it was served with three pieces of bread with anchovies on top. This salad was way better than it had any business being. Super fresh! And I'll give plenty of love to any Caesar salad that serves up full anchovies. 3. Red Wine Braised Short Rib and Frites: The short rib here is way better it has any business being, given that it's a Disney restaurant. It's a HUGE piece of short rib that was super soft and tender. I really couldn't believe that a sitdown dining option at Disney was this good. I'd come back here solely for this. Service here is great, as I would expect from a Disney dining destination. Honestly, after having had a fairly subpar experience at nearby Blue Bayou, I didn't really expect to be blown away by Cafe Orleans. For real though, don't waste your time at Blue Bayou, come here instead. It's cheaper and the food here is flat out better than Blue Bayou. read more

Small menu but food is good if you like eating unhealthy deep fried foods. We shared the Pot Roast and it was one of the best tasting Pit Roast's ever. They only have 2 kinds of beer 1 regular local ale and 1IPA and i cant stand the taste of IPA do i had to get it but forced it down. Service is very nice and prompt. Expensive menu over all though. read more

Definitely worth asking. As a vegetarian, we always ask at every Disney restaurant any vegetarian/vegan specials not on the menu and 100% of the time, they have an option. So asking for fries seems like a done deal! Haha
Are the hot chocolate beignets still available?
They were in December but you need to make a reservation otherwise you can not order them. Honestly the staff at the restaurant were rather pretentious and rude. Across the way the regular beignets are amazing and staff is fantastic

Yes. I last went on 5/20/19 and my niece ordered the Monte Cristo. It came with the berry purée and it was delicious!
