Stopped here for lunch because I was having an insane craving for spaghetti and saw they had a groupon. This place is literally right in front of my neighborhood too! I didn't need to buy the groupon because their lunch specials are really cheap. I didn't thoroughly look over the menu, just saw lunch ~ spaghetti & meatballs for $7 ~ order. They brought me complimentary bread and butter and shocked me when they asked if I'd like soup or salad. Woah, I'm getting bread, soup or salad, and a spaghetti entree all for $7?! Das awesome Went for the salad but next time I'll go for soup. Traditional ice berg lettuce and ranch. Wish there were some carrots or croutons. The server brought out my dish and said "Spaghetti & Meatball" to which I looked down and saw just that. Spaghetti and one meatball- LOL. It was a decent sized meat ball but you're definitely going to have to order another one because the meat ball to pasta ratio is off. Think the meat ball cost $2 because my total came out to be $9. It's not the best spaghetti but it's still quite tasty and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Super cheap lunch deals, a $18 credit for $10 groupon, and a beautifully decorated mom & pop shop! Kinda disappointed a little late but we have 4 kiddos that's my excuse, we have came here on and off for years; lately cafe Sicilia has been slacking, the manicotti has been very runny, no enough meat. The calamari under cooked we have to ask for a remake, I'm an Italian guy I know my food. I'd suggest the cooks to be more consistent, I'd go back if we were given the opportunity for another chance on the house. Teen took my order over the phone, I believe he was new, so I definitely showed him some grace. Kept asking me what sauce I wanted on my fettuccine alfredo. I finally had to tell him fettuccine alfredo comes with alfredo sauce. I asked if my meal came with a salad, in the background I could hear whoever was training him say, yeah we will give her a salad" like I was begging. I then asked if it came w/a salad, as that is what is advertised. The teen said "yes, you will get a salad". It was just nasty. No seasoning whatsoever. The salad was just pitiful. Old lettuce just tossed in a to go box. I pushed through the meal adding seasoning all the way through because I was starving! My mom and I visited Cafe Siciia yesterday (1/17/19) for a (very) late lunch. We had been here once before about a year ago to use a Groupon my mom had bought. We enjoyed it a great deal, so when I saw this place on Groupon again, I snapped it up. If there is one thing you should know about me, it's that I am a bread guy. Rolls, biscuits, slices of bread, it doesn't matter. I like them all. The downside to this is that bad bread can taint the rest of my meal for me. A restaurant could serve me the most delicious meal I've ever had, but if they started with bad bread, that is what I'm going to remember most. Thankfully, Cafe Sicilia started off with rolls that were divine. These rolls were large, warm, and oh-so good. The tops appeared to have been lightly coated with butter and dusted with garlic salt. Once my mom and I started eating the rolls, we couldn't stop until they were gone. It took everything we had not to ask for more rolls, because we could have easily filled up on them and been completely satisfied calling them lunch. Last time around, we each ordered from their lunch menu. Cafe Sicilia has about twenty lunch specials divided between two price points: $6.50 and $7.50. We were both very full, and satisfied, with the lunch items we ordered that visit. This time around, however, my mom and I decided to split a large (16") pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Just halfway through our first slice, we both agreed that this was the best pizza we had had in a very long time. The crust was what I would call a hand-tossed crust. It's not thick, but not thin either. There was also a sort of buttery flavor in the edge portion of the crust. More than that, however, was that this pizza was loaded with cheese. At some pizza places lately, it seems like they have reduced the amount of cheese they put on their pizzas. So much so, it's not uncommon for me to get a pizza with a slice or two that is mostly sauce with no cheese at all. This pizza came with so much cheese on it, you could not see any of the sauce. We could taste the sauce, just not see it. And we loved that. We had planned to only eat two slices each and take the rest home, but we loved it so much that we ended up having three slices each. With no regrets at all. We ended the meal with a Chocolate Cannoli. While the regular Cannoli is on their main menu, the Chocolate Cannoli, along with about a half-dozen other desserts, is only listed on a placard that is on the table. It was a single large cannoli, with the inside of the shell. I can't say that the cream was made from Ricotta cheese, as it seemed much smoother than other cannoli creams I've had. Either way, I found it to be delicious and a fitting end to our meal. Our server was terrific as well. He was welcoming and friendly. And he kept my water glass full, which can be a challenge considering how quickly, and how much, I can drink when I'm thirsty. Next time you are craving Italian food or pizza, head way south on Matlock Road to give this wonderful restaurant a try. read more

Love love love this place! The portions are huge and the food is delicious! I love their "pink sauce!" Their bread always comes out hot and fresh! The restaurant has a nice Italian ambiance, makes you feel in little Italy. We love their mozzarella sticks, chicken Alfredo, their wings... and we even stopped going to Subway and pay the same price for a more flavorful and filling meatball sub! YUM! My family ordered take out Friday 3/27 of pasta dishes. All four of us had intestinal illness. The reason I know it was from here, my husband had leftovers on Sunday & was again sick. *DROP THE MIC* This place is gameover for Italian in the area. The restaurant has great decor, and it feels like a million dollar chain right when you walk in. The business is also BYOB - I love it. My family and I started with calamari and chicken wings for appetizers, but the "hand-kneaded bread rolls" probably would have been enough to start. The two apps were fried in house and cooked to perfection. The calamari was not fishy at all, and the wings had a similar breading to Chik-fil-A. Both were served right out of the fryer. We wanted to order one of everything, but we settled on a pizza and a few pasta dishes. The pizza had very generous servings of toppings ( we got pepperoni, green pepper, and onion - veggies were chopped - NICE!) The seafood alfredo fettuccini was enjoyed very much. We also got a chicken piccata, capellini broccoli, and chicken rollatini. I've got to say, they were all phenomenal. The piccata came in a lemon butter sauce and was dope. The capellini was in a lemon-garlic sauce, and had a very generous portion of broccoli. The chicken rollatini was stuffed with cheese in a pink sauce and ohhhh so yummy. I think that was my favorite. After this feast, we shared one chocolate cannoli. I could have eaten the whole thing myself! I am amazed that this restaurant is right here at home. They did it again!! Another amazing set up for our Anniversary. One thing Covid cant stop is a romantic dinner at Cafe Sicilia. Renee is so sweet and goes out of her way to make sure we have a nice dinner. We love the Tortellini Michealango and chicken Parmigiana. The rolls are amazing as well. They were sweet enough to give us a dessert on the house and it didnt disappoint. We come from Burleson but it's worth it and we will be back! Same old, same old. Tastes like every other imitation Italian restaurant. You know the play; it's not homemade, but they want you to think there's a little ol' Sicilian grandma in the back with her wooden spoon just stirring that sauce...while in reality it's a dude with a can opener. Stromboli looked good, but was disappointing. Chicken parm plate had to have looked edible when they threw it in the metal tin, but the Stromboli got the better of it since they were forced in to the same paper sack. Let me start by saying I'm Italian and I know good Italian food. This wasn't that good of Italian food. We had the seafood Linguini with the pink sauce. Scallops and shrimp were good but the put the imitation crab meat into the dish which was not good. Should stick to the real seafood and not the artificial crab. Charge more for real crab or take the crab off the menu. Both mine and my wife's pasta were overcooked. My wife found a hair in her pasta. Manager came by and offered to take care of the situation but we didn't want a discount. Calamari were good. Pieces were very small though but they did have a good taste. Service was exceptional. What disturbed me is the microwave in the kitchen which the back was visible to customers. Hey you would want to put the back of a microwave on display is beyond me. On a positive note I didn't see it being used but it should be hidden and not front and center. Overall value was okay. Calamari price was low for the quantity. Pasta dish was priced high considering the fake crab meat. Maybe it was an off day but I would try it again. read more

This place is OK. Giving it a 3 rating is kind of generous, the last time we came they were very busy and service was a little slow. They seem to have new management and I appreciate that someone came by the table to say hi but they just need to make the food better. The rolls taste more like pastries and the dishes I've had are nothing special. It is BYOB and we came with a coupon so that's why I'm rounding up to 3 stars. As for atmosphere, they have a cheesy sort of vibe going on with fake pergolas and painted walls, mixed with the weird tv screens displaying specials and fun facts about Italy.
