    Chicken Mango Salad
    Maylee W.

Cafe Vida- located inside the Bay Club. I ordered the chicken mango salad and the Breakfast Wrap - delicious! The entrees were so fresh, lots of protein in the salad. Service - prompt. I miss Cafe Vida I used to go to the Palisades and happy that there's a location in South Bay.

I this is one of my fav spots in SoCali the food is so fresh and this location is near LAX and they have amazing fresh squeezed juices and a carrot cake that is literally perfect! My most recent visit was December 2024

Went with a large group and everyone enjoyed what everyone had. Loved eating on the patio. It's part of the Bay Club but you don't have to be a member to eat here. Parking isn't great but people come and go so often it's easy to get a spot. Definitely would go back.

    Organic Veggie Bowl with Tofu
    Michelle L.

Located inside a gym this restaurant is surprisingly delicious. We did have a difficult time finding it and it was a little unclear at first whether we could park in the parking since it's all labeled for the gym but we didn't have any issues. I got the organic veggie bowl with tofu. It was absolutely amazing super fresh ingredients and when they brought it over, they offered me Sriracha so glad I took them up on this offer to make the dish a little spicy. My only complaint is that it is very expensive. The cost for this on a quick service option is a little high in my opinion. especially when you clean up your own tables. I'm usually not up in this area, but this was definitely a delicious pre-concert telling Neild that was very healthy my friend also really enjoyed her meal. I appreciated the fact that they have such a healthy great filling vegan option.

    Balance Breakfast Bowl
    Nina C.

Located in the Bay Club El Segundo, Café Vida is a convenient destination for healthy eats post-workout. I tried the balance breakfast bowl that was filled with veggies, eggs, and choice of protein (I selected chicken breast) on top of quinoa or brown rice. My mom enjoyed her turkey burger salad. Their menu features breakfast and lunch options, as well as an array of smoothies. Quite pricey, but good flavor and quality.

    White Albacore Tuna Melt
    Liz B.

Cafe Vida is a great healthy restaurant that gives large portions. My tuna wrap came with a side of sweet potato fries and they give you a very large portion of fries! It is a little on the pricey side but everything is very fresh and good quality. I ordered from here via door dash at work one day so I can't say much on the service or the ambiance of the cafe.

All walk-in customers are free to come in anytime.

Not sure.. You may want to call and find out

Where can I park? Entire parking lot says I need a permit and there’s no street parking

There are parking structures nearby that allow for non-permit parking along the back alley behind the Bay Club.

Where the hell is this place located? The location it's giving me is dropping me off in front of some club but I see no restaurant or anything.

It is inside the Bay Club gym

The first thing I noticed about Manhattan Beach Post was the plants. Not because there were a few…read moreplants. Lots of restaurants have a few plants. These plants appeared to have union representation. They're everywhere. Hanging from things. Growing out of things. Quietly observing your meal. The whole place feels like someone built a really nice restaurant and then let nature move in as a long term tenant. The room hums. Not loudly. Not aggressively. Just enough. Glasses clink. People lean into conversations. Servers weave through the room carrying plates that look heavy enough to alter their center of gravity. Nobody seems rushed. Everybody seems busy. It's a difficult balance. The biscuits arrived first. Now, I'd heard about the biscuits. People talk about these biscuits the way fishermen talk about the one that got away. Slightly dramatic. A little emotional. Hard to verify. Turns out the stories were true. Warm bacon cheddar biscuits with maple butter. I took one bite and immediately understood why people order a second round. The outside has just enough structure to remind you it's baked. The inside is soft enough to make you wonder whether butter has secretly become a building material. We ordered another. Not because we needed another. Because apparently that's what happens here. The creamy polenta showed up next and felt like the culinary equivalent of a weighted blanket. Comforting. Smooth. Relaxed. The sort of dish that encourages you to slow down and stop checking your phone. The duck was one of my favorites. Lightly fried with crisp skin and tender meat, resting on white Italian beans and rosemary. It felt like something a French chef would cook after spending a weekend in the countryside and becoming briefly inspired by fresh air. At some point you stop evaluating food and simply nod in agreement with it. This was one of those moments. Dessert was equally dangerous. The olive oil cake arrived with strawberries and disappeared much faster than logic suggested it should. The cheesecake somehow managed to be rich and light at the same time, which feels like it should violate a law of physics somewhere. Service deserves its own mention. The whole team operates like a group project where everyone actually did their part. Plates appeared when they should. Water glasses mysteriously refilled themselves. Questions were answered without anyone making you feel like you should already know the answer. The chef's French influence shows up everywhere, but not in a showy way. Nothing feels complicated for the sake of being complicated. Everything feels like somebody spent a lot of time thinking about it so you wouldn't have to. By the end of the meal, I realized Manhattan Beach Post had done something difficult. It felt special without feeling serious. You can dress up. You can come casually. You can celebrate something important or absolutely nothing at all. Just order the biscuits. The plants already know you're going to.

After a long drive, we were hungry, as we hadn't stopped to eat on the way. Anyway, when we arrived, it was just after 10PM on a Friday night. Though the area was bustling, we were able to find easy street parking less than a block away. The restaurant was busy, but there were plenty of open tables. The place had a bit of the old diner type of vibe, but it was definitely more upscale and modern. We were greeted and seated right away. As we sat down, I saw some of the food being brought out and everything looked great. The menu was quite vast, so it took some time to decide. We decided to start out with the California Tots. They were a huge plate of crispy tots with cheese sauce, bacon and lots of other toppings. It was probably enough for us to share for dinner. However, I then had my mind set on the Tuna Manhattan, which was sort of a fancy tuna melt. The offered a regular tuna melt (off menu) if I preferred. The Tuna Manhattan was served on a bun with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and a huge slice of avocado. It came with a side salad, fries, or soup. They also offered me some other sides I could substitute as well, such as onion rings or sweet potato fries. When I asked about the soup selection, they gave me four I could choose from. I ordered the French Onion. Anyway, the portions were generous and everything was delicious. It was also a great value for the amount and quality of food. The Kettle is open 24 hours. If you ever want late night (or anytime) eats in Manhattan Beach, I highly recommend The Kettle for a good solid meal.
