Caffe Zingaro is located in southern Queen Anne neighborhood with plenty of food and drink options nearby. After reading the many positive reviews, I decided to give this place a try. First impression: Very friendly and knowledgeable service. Lots of delicious looking options and even some more unique drinks than you may find at another local shop. Great looking pastries and overall very clean and quiet. I tried the horchata and a muffin with some jelly in the middle, while my husband ordered the broken umbrella. In no world am I a horchata expert, but this one tasted like cold skim milk sprinkled with cinnamon. I hope I got a strange batch because I really want to love this place. My husbands drink was delicious, and artistically crafted. The muffin was great served warm! (Thanks for the suggestion!). Overall, I would go back, but I wouldn't order the horchata again. I came in for a quick sandwich before a show at McCaw hall. It was close by, relatively quick, and I must say a good sandwich. They didn't have a huge selection of food and by the time I stopped in (around 12) they were out of about half of the food options. I didn't get any coffee, but they seemed to have a lot of fun, unique options. The prices were reasonable and the service was very friendly. I think the biggest downfall of this place in comparison to other local cafes was the atmosphere. It seemed like it could use a cosmetic update. Long time customer, first time reviewer. I will start this review by stating I am saddened that I can only give them 5 stars. Neither my wife nor myself drink coffee, but that doesn't stop us from making regular breakfast dates at Zingaro. She is on a mission to find the best chai latte in Seattle. I don't want to speak for her but this place has the drink that she compares all others to. There breakfast sandwiches and burritos are also top notch, and pastries are always fresh and delicious. I've yet to try their other sandwiches, but based on quality and care by which all other morsels are made, I imagine they are amazing. Aside from the food and drinks, the staff are amazing. Even after chopping off 14 inches of hair they still recognized me (by a combination of my voice and my drink order, since I was wearing a mask). The decor is also great. They have a revolving door of local artists displaying their work which gives the place a fresh feel every time they change it. This is my favorite coffee spot! They have all your classic coffee shop staples plus a list of their own unique concoctions. It's so fun try out their special in house drinks. The pastries are pretty typical for what you'd expect from a coffee shop, and their burritos are pretty tasty too. The service is always EXCELLENT, and the baristas are some of the friendliest I've experienced in Seattle. Even if you're a first time customer they chat you up like you're a regular. The wall space is covered in art from local artists, which are for sale, and the selection rotates pretty regularly. Great place. 10/10 recommend read more

They've done a really good job of making it safe for the customers by only allowing a few people in at a time and also I swear I saw them wash their hands like 20 times while I was there. The coffee with some of the best I've had in Seattle in a while and there breakfast food is insanely good. This place is great for work and drinks! I had a couple of hours to kill before going to Happy Hour with friends so I stopped by here to get a drink and get some work done. I got a hot chocolate and it was really delicious. I am picky about my hot chocolates and was glad that this had the perfect mixture of chocolate for it to be super flavorful. Benvenuto a Caffe Zingaro! I'm sure some of you are asking what's with the exotic sounding name and the drawing of the beautiful peregrine woman on their menu board inside? If you haven't figured it out already, the word Zingaro is Italian for Gypsy. Now you may not have entered Italy while patronizing this establishment but it's still a solid cafe. It was cold and snowy and I needed to warm up some. I tried going to another cafe that was closer to where I was but sadly all the tables were taken. Fortunately there were plenty of seats available here. There are a total of eight tables for two people, two tables for four, a bar area in front of the window that can seat four, two very comfy chairs in the back (which I sat in after a guy left) and even two high chairs. There's something you just don't see everyday, high chairs in a cafe! While I was there two of the other patrons had infants with them... quiet infants! One of the things I liked was the guy behind the counter immediately greeted me when I walked in. That's always a great way to start off a business transaction! I always feel better about spending my money if I get exceptional service. As someone who drinks Tea I asked for a copy of their tea menu and ordered an English breakfast tea. I had not eaten anything so I also decided I would order a scone. They had two different kinds, the traditional blueberry scone and the less traditional peach & passionfruit. Since I was in a cafe named after a gypsy I picked the less traditional scone. It was nice that the guy behind the counter offered to heat the scone up for me. The tea itself was English breakfast and was served in a small white pot. It was a typical black English breakfast tea. The scone was sweet and I preferred the passionfruit jam inside the scone to the peach frosting on top. The frosting was a bit sweet for me but it was still a big and tasty scone. They also have other types of food available if you are in the mood for a snack. While in the cafe I saw several people working on laptops as well as several people who came in with their dogs to get coffee and food to go. The proprietors didn't seem to have a problem with the dog owners which is awesome. It's always good to see a place that doesn't start screaming if you come in with your dog to order something to go. Pugsly (my amazing pug) and I will be back! Great service from very polite staff and plenty of places to sit as well as lots of windows to stare out of. They also have free wifi if you need it to post your Yelp reviews! There was also a display of avant-garde art done with rope on the walls and even above some of the tables. If you're in the area stop in, grab something warm to drink and grab a seat by a window and relax. read more

Stopped here after seeing a play at the Seattle Rep Theatre. It's large and probably a good place to work. Unfortunately the coffee tasted like Folgers instant coffee, in other words, the coffee tasted like warm, darkened water. From this experience, I'd have to say there are too many other quality coffee houses around for me to come back here. My relationship with Zingaro started off like a mediocre blind date: My first time there, I went in with high hopes (yelp reviews were positive, if scarce and its SO close to where I live). But then i got there and it was a little deflating: it was a little crowed, a little noisy, the staff was lukewarm. I liked it...but I didn't. It was a more of a "I'll call you sometime" situation. And with that, I left and didn't plan on returning. However, not too long ago, when the weather was so hot you could literally roast alive, I needed a cooler place to study than my apartment and since it was too hot to walk any further than Zingaro, I found myself on another date with my cafe. Turns out Zingaro is not so bad, by the third or fourth encounter I was actually quite smitten. Dare I say I've actually fallen hard for their americanos, the great music, the interesting customers, and the great tables to study at. I think its too soon to profess my love for Zingaro...those three little words "I love you" can be so hard to say...but maybe after a few more visits I won't be able to deny it any longer. Randomly came across this cafe after getting brunch with my friend nearby. We both ordered an almond milk Nutella latte. I thought it would be too sweet since there was Nutella in it, but it was actually pretty subtle. I would actually recommend the barista to put a tad more Nutella into the latte. It would enhance the sweet note, but blend really well with the espresso. (And this is coming from a person who doesn't really like overly sweet lattes).
