This is the absolute best breakfast place ever, better than Denny's, IHOP, or any other breakfast joint. We had a party of 10, we waited about 35 minutes to be seated, however it was well worth the wait. I got the two breakfast burritos, they were absolutely massive, I only finished one the salsa was okay. The french toast were to die for, they where so delicious and amazing! Coffee was also good, but seriously the serving size was a lot of food, and the absolute best part of everything was the service! This place is a gem!! They are so efficient at what they do here and how they take care care of their customers. I've came here with there being several families waiting outside to be seated, and I've never had to wait more than 20 minutes to be seated. The waiter takes your drink order right away, and is back quick. They give you plenty time to order and the food is out very quick. Everything my family has eaten here has always been great! The chilaquiles are definitely a must! Only wish they would stay open a little later! The ambience is also great, nice clean place and everything in order! The place was packed at 9am on a Saturday. But the line moved quickly. Outdoor and indoor dining available. Silverware wasn't the cleanest. Had to ask for replacement, which still wasn't clean. Some servers were overwhelmed and disoriented. Other waiters were attentive and non intrusive in their careful checking-in with us. Portions are huge. Definitely good for sharing. Santa Monica burger with garlic fries was ginormous. Definitely share this. The patty was subpar. Didn't taste like meat at all. All the fixings were great. A lot of avocado and sundried tomatoes. The garlic fries stole the show. Perfectly crispy and flavorful. Santa Fe sandwich was on the spicier side. Didn't like the thick, stale bread that it came with. Caesar salad was light on the dressing and heavier on the shredded cheese, which was good. They were out of hollandaise sauce, so we got eggs Benedict with chipotle sauce. I came here with a friend on a Tuesday late-morning for a good old-fashioned catch-up. She lives in town and I was visiting, so we came here at her suggestion. Totally perfect, such a good, comfy, warm setting for the reunion we had. Not only was the service so friendly and quick but the portions were giant and so delicious. That good old cafe comfort food we all love so much. Ugh, what a good experience! I wish I lived in the area, I'd definitely be back. I am so disappointed to say this place is really lost its touch for me and my family. Today there was a beard hair on my plate. I asked for crispy bacon and what I received was ones that didn't even looked cooked. The condiments on the table were filthy. I had to use the sugar and the top was disgusting. There was a male worker who was re filling coffee and for what ever reason he was carrying the pot by the neck of it where you pour, now I really don't want someone's fingers where the liquid comes out, personally. The manager here and most of the staff are great. So it's disappointing that the quality control and cleanliness is really lacking. Sadly, we are searching for a new local breakfast joint. read more

The patty was absolutely delicious, made with high quality meat and perfectly cooked. Too many places use frozen meats and cook the flavor out of it. Their potatoes were also unbelievable, fried with not just fresh ... but quality oil. You can taste the difference. Every bite was a taste of heaven. The servers were friendly and on top of their game. We've driven 1 hr. EACH WAY twice since our first visit just to eat here. Great place to stop if you're running late for breakfast and early for lunch. The food is delicious, I had the chorizo scramble after the waitress recommended it over my other choice. On our way back from Yosemite on my birthday, my wife and I decided to stop in here for my birthday lunch. It was Sunday after lunch and they were about to close. There was still a lot of people waiting for a table, even on a hot end of July day. We got in after a 15 minute wait and ordered. I ordered breakfast because I can eat breakfast all day and love places that serve that. The waitress, even though it was almost closing time, was pretty friendly and patient with us. She didn't have any issues waiting for us to decide or bringing our odd requests. The food was yummy and fresh, not something they got out of a can and reheated. LAST time I was there I tried to order the same three ingredient omelet that I have been getting for years but couldn't because it wasnt on the menu. There aren't many choices for places to stop when you get closer to Yosemite, so Oakdale is a pretty good place to take a break bc there are a fair amount of options when it comes to restaurants to go to. Took my son and wife for breakfast had an amazing waiter. We got seated very quickly and got our drinks and menus quickly. I got the chicken and waffles and it was amazing the crisp fried chicken was excellent on top of the waffle put it in a new rage in flavors. It was amazing to eat and had a great experience.
