We got a lobster roll and the fried oyster plate. Both included a mountain of fries, far too much for a single person. But they were very well prepared.....crunchy and not too oily. We split both orders so we could both try each. The lobster roll was a little small, but we both enjoyed the roll it came on, as well as the dressing, which gave it a good flavor. The oysters seemed fresh and were, like the fries, prepared very well, without tons of batter, but still crispy. The mussels, potatoes and corn, were also cooked well. The fries were perfectly crispy, and a good thickness. The garlic noodles were incredible. I love their interior! Their place is spacious and plenty of parking spots. They have big screens if you prefer watching while getting your hands dirty with their seafood choices. Also, lighting is great, no dim spots! Food- id say comparable to boiling crab. Id deduct one star on this category but not really a deal breaker. Food is still good and flavorful. Pricing is not bad knowing the effects of inflation and price increase nowadays. The combo is the go to if you have a big party, saves you a little rathen than individually ordering the menu items. Service- our server was great. Very approachable and patient with our requests. The minus .5 star came from the speed of service since i felt like we waited for a while eventhough there it was a slow night for them. My husband got a Mind Haze IPA $6.95 For entrees my husband got the Signature Combo with Crawfish & Shrimp $53.95. My husband likes spicy food so he got the Tongue on Fire spice, which he absolutely loves especially since the endorphins from the hot spices make him really happy. He wasn't too happy with the Crawfish. The work you have to go through to get the smallest bit of meat is so not worth it. I ordered a Catfish Po'Boy with Sweet Potato Fries $14.95 which was good. I also got an order of yummy Garlic Noodles $11.95 which were some of the best I've ever had. I'm not a major garlic fan, but boy these sure are delicious!! The food and service were wonderful. I used the womens bathroom which was a total disaster. There was garbage everywhere, toilets that take 2 trys to flush, & only 1 store bought soap dispenser. The faucets sprayed out water so hard it was bouncing off the bottom of the sink, so you basically got a shower all over the front of your clothes! Highly disappointed in my order I placed to go. I was hoping for it to be a good experience as I have been to other locations but this was just not good at all. Vacaville is a weird town. Non-Vacavillians exclaim to me all the time, "oh, that town has EVERYTHING!" I'll keep my retort to myself. Where I'm going is - there are a TON of places to eat, but because the town is so oddly laid out and so many shopping centers over shadow one another, it's so easy to miss so many of the businesses. This long rant to say: we went to Cajun Crackn tonight and loved it! The price was absurdly decent, but yet, for the hour and a half that we were there, we were one of 6 parties in the MASSIVE restaurant. The service was great. The food - stellar. Price - verrrry reasonable. They also have a full bar. Had I known this before, I woulda rather go there vs BJ's for a drink with the homies. I come to Cajun Crackin often for happy hour. The manager Joyce is here most of the time, taking orders and making drinks. This week I've been her twice. On my second visit Joyce all of a sudden wants to say "after" i ordered my second lemon drop that they are not on happy hour (mind you she made the wrong drink anyway).. I said since when, Joyce said they never have. Well Ms. Joyce, that's a lie. We ordered the lemon drops Monday and they were on happy hour, and previously when Joyce took our order they were on happy hour. My last couple of encounters with Joyce have not been good. Today I was in town and I was in the mood for Cajun food and decided to try this place out since I saw on their menu that they have po-boys. I ordered a catfish po-boy for take out and all of their po-boys come with Cajun seasoned fries on the side. You can also substitute with other fries and I think other sides but I was interested In the Cajun fries. Lady on the phone said it'll be ready in 10 minutes and sure enough it was ready in 10 minutes. So that's an awesome that the food was ready on time. When I got there to pick up my order though I had a slightly different experience. I felt like I was sort of being rushed by the cashier. Could have caught them at the wrong time maybe, I don't know. I just know that they could have slowed down talking to me and at least thank me at the end for coming in but I was just giving the receipts to sign and the cashier just kind of bolted out of there before I could hand them the receipt. Here are my impressions about the food though. First I want to talk about the po-boy. I've eaten a lot of po-boys before and I can tell you that the sandwich was okay. The one thing that made the sandwich not to be super outstanding or anything was the texture of the fried catfish. It was missing that crispiness, you know that crunchy sound and feel when you bite into a nice deep fried catfish? Yeah, that's what that was missing and that makes up about half of the sandwich to be honest with you. Other than that everything else was fine. The hoagie bread seem like a standard hoagie and it was nice and toasted. The veggies were okay and cucumber inside. Seasoning was good, again nothing extraordinary but it was good. The Cajon fries were really good though. They got that down for sure. The fries were nice and crispy beer battered texture and the fries had ample amount of seasoning on it. And the fries overall tasted very good like I said no complaints in that department. The portion of the food was decent. The box had a nice weight to it and again when I open it up and was greeted with all of this goodness, my mouth began to water. Overall it seems like a pretty decent restaurant. Inside seemed to have a lot of space for seating and again being that it was early in the day there was not many people there. But I could see this place getting busier towards the night. If I could give Kristen, our server, 5 stars, I would. My 3 star rating is for everything else here, while Kristen did the best with the hand she was dealt, visiting us at least 5 times during the meal. I ordered the special #1 with crawfish and 2 orders of head-off shrimp, and added an egg for fun. I asked for the spiciest and most flavorful option. The food arrived very quickly, piping hot. I poured 1/2 of it from the bag to the serving tray and dug in. Flavor-wise, it was scrumptious. The heat (spice) profile wasn't up to my expectation, but with my tolerance, it rarely is. Everything was tasty, but I'll never order crawfish again due to the lack of meat in each one. The shrimp offerred 3-4 times the amount of meat per order. Having never eaten crawfish before, that's on me. Potatoes, Corn, Sausage, and Egg were as good as could be expected. I left with 1/2 of my bag as leftovers. So why only 3 stars? Starting with the hostess, I asked if the statue by the front door might have been Captain Jack Sparrow in my usual loud voice but she acted like she didn't even hear me. Maybe she didn't, whatever. She failed to hear me say goodbye on the way out too. It's just awkward when you try to interact with the staff and they don't even acknowledge you. The bathrooms were pretty gross with graffiti everywhere and non-functioning soap dispensers. At least they had a hand-pump with soap. The water from the faucet splashed everywhere and my wife reported the same with the woman's restroom. The dining room wasn't nearly as bad though. Pretty clean tbh. All-in-all, not bad, but not as good as the other Cajun Crack'n restaurants I'm familiar with. I'll definitely be trying Bag O Crab next time. read more

There wasn't many people in there and the server walked up and barely acknowledged us just sat our waters down and walked away , it took 10 more minutes for her to come back over to us to take our order . Food came out pretty fast which was a plus but she only came to our table maybe once to fill our water never asked how we were doing or how the food was . This is for their delivery. At the end of quarantine and wanted something that I didn't cook. This was something I've been wanting to have for a bit so I said why not? I had scheduled ahead of time and it was at my doorstep right in time. No qualms there. Unpacking everything was easy and neat. They gave me bibs, gloves, and napkins. They packed some salt and pepper containers for me to dip and juicy lemon slices. Food itself came double bagged so I could dispose of the shrimp heads without having to put them back into the heavenly sauce it comes with. Good portion and taste. The place is huge and has a nice setup. Our server was so nice and attentive. Right after ordering, we got our sides and lemon wedges. And our main entrees arrived a few minutes after. The shrimp was piping hot. Not hot spicy but hot off the stove hot. We like it that way. We ordered combo #1 with 2 lbs of shrimp and 1 lbs of clams. It also came with sausages, potatoes and corn in garlic butter mild sauce. We loved that the shrimp was nice and big and was cooked perfectly. Their clams were pretty big as well and not all shells. I'm so glad that they cleaned their clams before cooking because we did not taste a grain of sand. Their mild sauce did not have a hint of spice but I love the garlic butter sauce, it had a lot of garlic. We got an extra order of house special sauce in spicy for the adults. Their spicy is not that spicy, so if you like it spicy, you should get tongue on fire. We also got the garlic noodles. I'm usually skeptical about garlic noodles since I make a pretty garlic noodles dish. I have been wanting to try out Cajun Crackin' and literally my only complaint is that they don't sell hush puppies, which I love. I ordered the catfish basket with lemon pepper fries and an Arnold Palmer for my drink. The decor is really cute. They obviously did a lot of work to change it from Rock and Brew which was the last business here. My food was delivered quickly and was very tasty. My server, Dayana was very pleasant and attentive. Granted, I was the only guest for awhile, but having owned a restaurant myself, I can be judgmental...I can't help it. My server crossed all her t's and I thought she did a great job! As I sat and waited for my food I read the reviews that were 3 and below and I would like to address something that some of those guests may not have considered. When people get angry and impatient and write super negative reviews, I feel like they need to stop and think, "Is this issue worth ruining a business over?" "Is this issue worth possibly getting someone fired over?" There is usually some truth behind the comment but it is rarely a situation that can't be remedied by talking to a manager or owner. I owned a restaurant and I have experienced firsthand situations where I got involved, personally apologized, and gave free food including return gift certificates to remedy things only to find that the person still gave a 1-star review. There are a lot of people in the world that don't stop and think about the ramifications of their actions. To sum things up, the food was tasty, attractive, came piping hot and fresh, the restaurant was clean and comfortable, and the service was great! Congrats on your opening! This review is about the Oyster Po Boy with sweet potato fries, ordered to go. YUM. YUM. And yum :) Starting with the perfectly fried oysters, this sandwich was delicious! It had soft fresh bread, crisp lettuce and tomatoes, and dressed with a tasty cajun sauce. Something about the sweet potato fries though :) WOW. The best ever! Loved the crunchy batter and tender sweet potato. Well seasoned and didn't need any dipping sauce. Groovin to Aaliyah through the speakers, this new restaurant JUST got their liquor license. We went in on a late Tuesday afternoon.. They was a girl at the front desk who was on the phone.. They're were only 2 tables filled. I saw 1 server too.. We were totally ignored the 10 minutes we were there.. The girl at the desk didn't say anything to us. While we were waiting, we looked around. It was very dirty. Even though they were almost empty there were a lot of dirty dishes on tables that hadn't been cleared. This is was about 4:00pm. We assume the dishes were leftover from lunch. I had such a great lunch there. I went in the middle of the week. The restrooms were clean and spacious. The food took a good time to come out and was nice and hot when it arrived. So they actually cooked it to order. I got garlic no spice . Plus I added rice. You can eat it out of the bag but you can also dumb it in that tray. The people though out left overs. They gave me a to go bag and doubled up the bags so I dont get any juice anywhere . I loved it ! I had a great dinner there. The garlic bread was the only pricey thing since it wasn't real home made bread. It was the bread you can get from Walmart or the dollar store and get way more. Disclaimer: I do not eat seafood. But I went with a seafood lover and so I was hoping I'd be able to find something yummy non seafood and I did! I ordered the chicken wings in Cajun and lemon pepper, garlic noodles, white rice, and in his seafood bag, we added a half pound of sausage.. all of the food was delicious! He had mussels and shrimp in the bag with the sausage and my sausage didn't even taste "fishy". I put the sauce on my rice and garlic noodles. Chicken wings were hot and flavorful! They are breaded too if you like those sorts of wings. Overall we were super impressed! It was our first time dining in here. The restaurant itself is cute too with an under the sea theme. This is my first time at Cajun Crack'n. We came here on a Sunday evening for my mom's birthday and we were able to walk in with no reservation. First thing you notice when you walk into the restaurant is how big and spacious the place is and all the decor and theming! Plenty of tables with the bar in the center of the restaurant. My wife and I got a Mai Tai and a mango margarita. Both drinks were very well made. My dad got himself a fried catfish basket with fries. My wife, mom, sister, and I got ourselves1 lb of shrimp each. I got 1 lb shrimp with head off, with one boiled egg, in their mild house special sauce. They provided us with bibs and gloves which we did use. They actually also give you these silver platters to put your bags of seafood boil on and they also provide a big bucket for you to put all the shells you've peeled in! I believe that's a first for me at any seafood boil place I've been to. Otherwise, our table could have been really messy with all the shrimp we've peeled! The shrimp itself was delicious. It was deveined, the shells were easy to peel off, and the sauce wasn't too salty or buttery. The service was great. I appreciated that our server kept checking on us often and he was very friendly.
