First of all, CCC is one of favorite places to eat. I've been eating their food for over 10 years now. This is by far the best location out of all of them if you ask me. I know they all sell/make the same food but for some reason, their chicken is always the best and most fresh. Secondly, Tyler and Zendaylin are the best! When I showed up to this location instead, they both were so accommodating, said it was no problem at all and made my order on the spot. The food was ready in under 10 minutes. I just left from this restaurant and ordered a California Chicken Salad and an Aloha cookie. I just ate the cookie, which was extremely stale and tasted old. I still ate most of it, regardless of it being stale, but when I got to almost the last bite, I tasted MOTOR OIL! How in the heck would motor oil get in the cookie. It was horrible! Quick review: overpriced but pleasantly mediocre food. More like the California cheatin' cafe, am I right? Walked in, first time visitor, long time ignorer of this lame establishment. First thing I noticed is there's no menu posted anywhere in sight. I'm like uhh? What, where is ? Ah some printed out menus, I see what they did here. Confuse then annoy. This is fantastic. What more can I ask on an empty stomach then troubleshooting and problem solving my way to an order. I admire this. Honestly the setup here is quiet odd I must say. They've got this food assembly line setup (ie Panda Express, Chipotle etc) but without the start point. You know how this works...on one end there's someone to greet you and ask what you'd like , you walk to your left and point at food. Then you end up at the register to pay for said food. Nope not here. You have to first find a printed out menu from somewhere, then walk to the register and order. If you want to see how the food looks before you order it, you'll have to walk to your right where the food is displayed, all the while trampling over the starved and depraved. It's totally flawed. There's people standing in line to your right! So now you have to excuse me pardon me your ass through a crowd to see what exactly the food looks like, grrrr! This is so reinventing the wheel with a square. Whatever. So I couldn't see the food. I just told them give me a wrap. The "primavera wrap". I asked 'what sauce comes inside?'...she says 'we serve ranch on the side'. I look down on the menu, mayo. 'it says here the wrap has mayo'. She says 'ahh yes, it has mayo inside'. I pull out my skeptical eyes like what. Fine $9 for this thing, give me a drink too while you at it Einstein. Hey, this thing looks nice. My first impression. Couple of bites later I'm pondering if it's humanly possible to make a more dull food product. I dare anyone to try topping this. I'll pay you to top this. Don't try. This right here is perfection. Nothing was seasoned. They took chopped vegetables and chicken then strategicly shoved it into a humongous pita. Not a thought went into how this will taste to the masses. This is something mayonnaise could not save. Mayonnaise would be wasting it's precious time with this. Mayonnaise be damned, bacon couldn't save this!!!!!! I can compare this wrap to sitting at the library. Point taken? What's worse....they skimpt me on the chicken. After a couple of bites, chicken was MIA. I was left with unseasoned vegetables in pita. Look at the photos I took, that speaks volumes. I don't know about revisiting this place. Actually never. The food, although fresh and we'll presented, was over priced and bland. First time here and this place deserves five stars!! The food is delicious and moderately priced! I went around lunch time and was able to get a table. It is close to CSUN so expect college students there. I got the cesar wrap and it was so good!!! The best part of the wrap was the fact that it had croutons, it added a crunch texture and it was surprising but needed. If you love cesar salad definitely get the wrap! The salads are so big that if you'll probably get your daily caloric intake from one salad, so if you're trying to lose weight, you might want to ration the salads. 2) Rotisserie chicken - The chicken itself isn't the best, but it's tender and there are a large number of sauces and salsas you can use to make your dish delicious. 3) Chinese chicken wraps - much smaller portion. I'd rather get the salad, but if I'm on the go, this is what I usually get. Sides: 1) Chicken pasta Salad - sooooo goood! You can choose whether you want a breast, wing, legs, thigh, or the whole chicken~ You have a choice of it only being a la carte or with 1-2 sides! In addition, there are wraps and salads to choose from on the menu! The also have amazing soups: broccoli and vegetable soup!! My favorite item on the menu is their Chinese Chicken salad which comes with white meat chicken, almonds, Mandarin oranges, Chinese noodles, pasta, green onions, lettuce, carrots, and house-made Chinese dressing!! SO GOOD. Another favorite of mine is the combo wrap which comes with chicken, avocado, jack cheese, Italian dressing, greens, tomato, and mayo. Their portions are pretty huge in my opinion. I love CCC for years and years now and I've been to their different locations. By far though, my most favorite is this location. The staff is very nice, efficient and accommodating. Their manager, Andrew is always very helpful and ready to answer all your questions. I have ordered few times for catering and I never had any issues. CCC is consistently good. Their chicken is always juicy and the sides are cooked perfectly. I always get the roasted potatoes and coleslaw, rice is pretty good too. I wish I can buy the coleslaw dressing cuz I always crave it. My all time favorite though is the salads. I used to buy them everyday that it got too expensive for me. Whether you call it California Chicken Cafe, Triple C's or CCC this place is so good. I always order the 1/2 chicken with 2 sides and Chinese chicken salad (good for 2 people). I take the chicken and I shred it up to stuff into my pita bread along with some Chinese chicken salad and top it off with their verde salsa and pico de gallo. Trust me it tastes so much better than their wrap. (Juicy pieces of meat vs their diced chicken breast.) As for sides I really love their fresh mash potato with silky flavorful gravy. After years of ordering from the Encino location, we decided to try this location out as we were in the area. I'm a huge fan of ccc and love all their food. However, this time around I was extremely disappointed to see that they forgot 2 sides of extra sauce/salsa I asked for as well as a WHOLE AVOCADO from my veggie salad. The main point of getting a veggie salad is for the delicious avocado on top as protein. I wouldn't have even gotten that salad if it didn't come with avocado. Not to mention it's kind of a big vegetable right on top of the salad to miss...as well as that, my wrap had maybe only one small slice of avocado in it as well. If you're going to make orders take 30 minutes until they're ready, there's no excuse why a simple salad shouldn't be right. I know times are tough right now but if you're going to sell and advertise a product and promote having certain ingredients in it, then they shouldn't be missing. CCC has also specialized in takeout and curb pickups for years before corona virus so this is not a new learning curve for them. I had the pleasure of being assisted by the manager Andrew on multiple occasions who has always gone above and beyond the call of duty. His customer service is beyond words and greatly appreciated. The only downside about this particular location is that it's smaller than most and is located near CSUN, making it difficult sometimes not only to get a parking spot (it's a shared lot) but to get a table as well. Restroom is clean, which is a must! Customer service is good. When looking at the menu, it sort of reminds me of Zankou with the rotisserie chicken and pita bread. I ordered the vegan crunch wrap with the side of brocolli salad ( extra charge). You can choose from wheat pita or regular pita bread. When I got my order, i must admit it was delicious. Avocado and veggies were fresh and the Chinese noodles were crispy. Love also the taste of the broccoli salad with no cheese! Now for the .5 negative part - it was a little overpriced just for the wrap itself. Without the side, the wrap alone is $8. I have been eating at CCC since back in the day when it was just the one in Venice. The quality has gone down hill unfortunately. My recent visits have been sub par. I ordered the Chinese chicken salad, a half chicken dark and the chicken pasta salad. Items I have always ordered religiously. Sadly the last 3-4 times I order from here it's has been sub par. The chicken was super tiny, not sure if they are buying cheaper, but not what I'm used to from this place. The chicken pasta salad is way to gooped with the sauce and has a lemony tinge to it that wasn't there previously. Badly done. And my Chinese chicken salad was ok. It was missing the wheat Pita I have a become accustomed to eating it with. The last few times I have ordered they haven't given them to me. I use these with ALL my CCC items and have been very disappointed the last few orders haven't had them. Not even one. Maybe you have to ask for them now. But before they gave you two packs in your order. I don't know. I'm sure it's about saving money for them. But at what cost? Either way. It's not what it use to be. Tried out the new app CCC offers and i order a chicken rice wrap with no mustard but still kept the mayo and also order the wrap with warm dark meat. When i received my wrap, the ticket said no spread so it was dry and did not get any dark meat when the ticket says dark meat. The manager on duty was making my wrap. We've placed our orders there for the past 5 years for our Thanksgiving lunch. Today I called 3 times to try to place the order however I was told at 1pm to call after 2pm to place a next day order, I called again at 1:55pm (I had a quick break from work) and even though it was 4 minutes before 2 they did not take my order, I called again at 2:35 and I am asked if it's a catering order (which was not, it's lunch for 7 people, then I am told I have to do it through an app to place a simple order.
