If you are hoping to dine at the HNL airport before your flight, BE WARE! As of July 30th, 2021, almost ALL dining venues are still closed due to COVID. We are vegan and did our homework (or so we thought) and were planning on dining at the Tequileria, or alternatively getting a vegan/GF pizza at the California Pizza Kitchen prior to our flight. Our flight was at 8:25 PM and we arrived 4 hours early (not necessary even though all reviews we read to that point said the airport was crowded with long lines getting through the security which took hours). That was not our experience. Two hours would have more than sufficed. When we arrived at the airport at 4:30 PM, and all the way up until us leaving, the only food options in the whole airport were the Local HNL (no vegan options at all), Burger King (they have Impossible Burger but no GF bun and that's not good or healthy food) and Chowmein Express (some greasy noodle and steamed vegetable vegan option). PACK AND BRING YOUR OWN FOOD IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GO HUNGRY OR HAVE TO EAT POOR QUALITY FOOD. The Information desk staff said more venues may open in a month or so. read more

This airport CPK does not accept CPK gift cards since it's contracted out to HMS Host. They do take other forms of major credit cards though. I wanted something light for pre-flight so I got the Caesar Salad. The food court area is very small with limited seating. Had to walk around the terminal a bit until an open table was found. Next time I may just mosey to the food court with the "other Burger King" [Did you know this airport has 2 Burger Kings?] since I noticed a lot of empty tables over there. It would be cool if this CPK offered some type of pasta dish. The Pizza Hut Express inside Target offers pasta so not sure why it would be difficult to do it here. Oh well. I can dream. read more

An amazing place to eat. Atmosphere is always good. The vibe and staff are always good. Drinks are always good meaning the adult drinks.

Overpriced pizza that took waaaay to long to come out. Didn't even grab our pizzas because they were taking 20+ minutes to make em and we would've missed our flight if we stayed. I have a $50 GC for CPK so I decide to stop there on my way to my gate!! I stand at the counter for 5 minutes waiting for someone to take my order. Theres a lady standing in the back but no one else is seen.. Finally a lady comes to take my order. I say "May I please get a Hawaiian Pizza.." She says.. are you paying cash.. I said No im using a gift card.. she moves to the next register & motions me over and repeats my order to me and I say Yes.. You advertise gluten free options, but your employees have no idea what is gluten free on your menu. If your going to advertise gluten free, then make sure your staff is aware of what that entails. I was taking a flight from Honalulu airport and your staff had no idea if anything was gluten free on the menu. Celiac's (especially when boarding a flight) need to be sure of what they are eating, and if it's safe. read more

I wanted pizza and this was the only place pizza was sold inside the Honolulu airport. I have never ordered a pizza at CPK before ( I always order seafood or pasta). They had about 8 specialty pizzas starting at $13 to about $15. I thought this was a bit expensive but I got it anyway. My sausage mushroom pizza was on point! The problem with running out the door to get to your flight, go through security, check in and all that shit is you dont have time to eat. So right before getting on a five our flight back home I had to weigh my options. Ahh CPK. First thing the person does is hand me a menu but it's all in Japanese. Waiting for our flight back to the mainland we were looking for somewhere to eat inside of the airport with decent ratings - hard to do apparently. We went with a safe bet and happy we did. We went on a Monday afternoon, not too busy, and our delicious mushroom, sausage, and pepperoni pizza was baked to perfection in pretty good time. The crust was PERFECT. After breezing through security at HNL, I had only one thing on my mind (dinner!) and a choice to make: Burger King or California Pizza Kitchen. I went with the latter, figuring I'd get more bang for my buck. Wrong choice. I paid $12 for an individual sized pizza with a scattering of vegetables and onions that weren't even fully cooked. Hello, onion breath! I instantly felt bad for the passenger sitting next to me on our 7 hour flight, and would have done him the favor of not speaking had he not been so cute. First of all I generally like California Pizza Kitchen. BUT, this location, not being able to utilize a brick oven, produces a very bland tasting pizza. The pizza race track oven is like Dominos's, but even Domino's has more flavor. I ordered a margarita pizza and was very disappointed, especially the price for this, $13.99. We had the pre-made roasted turkey and chicken pesto sandwiches, and while a bit overpriced at 10 bucks a piece, they sure hit the spot! Extremely rude and if you want a beverage out of the cooler good luck, they won't let you pay for it at the counter and the kiosk doesn't have them inventoried also, the kiosks wouldn't accept payment but they didn't care. The Worst customer service. We even had to assemble our own boxes. It's 8a.m. In the morning with the refrigerator grab-n-go completely empty. I can't leave a review that is worthy of any star reviews, but the sake of posting. My daughter was traveling with three small children and just wanted to feed them before they got on their flight. She wanted to order, but the counter person, "Rita" instead of taking her order was suggesting sandwiches she didn't want. Because she said no, "Rita" became very rude, slamming refrigerator door, giving an attitude the whole time my daughter was trying to give her order. Once payment was due, "Rita" wouldn't take the gift card and didn't state why. Then wouldn't accept her credit card without ID. I know these are all proper cash handling procedures, BUT there are better ways to handle these situations. In the frustration, my daughter asked for her credit card back and stated she is taking her business somewhere else, where the customer service is valued. "Rita" needs more CUSTOMER SERVICE training. read more

Of all the places I have ever eaten at here at the HNL International Airport, I've always found CPK to offer consistantly good food. I'm usually in a hurry, but I always find the staff helpful and accommodating, the service speedy, and the pizza very good! Although I don't eat chicken, I have determined that my favorite pizza here is the Thai Chicken (ordered with no chicken, of course). While I cannot say that this is the best airport food in the world, I can tell you that CPK is my choice for a good, fast meal at HNL! read more

I would have probably given 4 stars for the pizza. It is not the greatest pizza, but hey, you are in an airport and they will get it done for you in less than 10 minutes. I also like the automated kiosk to make order. The reason for the 2 stars is the ridiculous cost of a bottle of water. $5.49 for a bottle. Seriously???? For comparison, a pepperoni pizza is $13.99. A bit on the high side, but I am not going to complain about that, I feel it is fair being in an airport. But $5.49 for a bottle of water??? 2 bottles make 80% of my pizza??? Caesar salad had wilty lettuce. I'd steer clear of grabbing a salad unless you thoroughly check the freshness of the leaves (which can be hard to do based on how they package it). The pizza was decently good. I got the Margarita pizza and it was better than I'd expect from food court pizza. So in short try the pizza and stay away from the salad. read more

If it is between eating the very expensive food on the airplane and juggling bags of food and carry-ons, I'll gladly take the juggling! I love CPK's chopped salad, I've even had the flight attendants stop and ask where I got it when I break it open mid-flight.
