    Half pepperoni and cheese
    Tina C.

Great customer service. Very very pricey. Ordered a 14" half pepperoni and cheese pizza cost $50. Nothing to brag about but figured for the price it would be above average tasting. The host was super friendly and easy to talk to while waiting. Plenty of indoor seating and seemed like a pretty popular spot.

Very cute spot. They even had live music. Not very many people so we were seated quickly. We ordered a spritzer, ceasar salad and a pepperoni pizza. The pizza was pretty good. Crust was a little thicker than I'd prefer but still flavorful and just the right amount of crisp. Service was friendly and attentive.

A hidden gem! Came here after the fireworks show. It wasn't busy but still quite a few tables were filled. Service was great. Ambiance is casual and cozy too. Love the vibe. Ordered a large half & half of calabresa w/catupiry and the other half was Brazilian Margherita. Ordered the hazelnut chocolate dessert. Enjoyed a sangririnha the meal. The meal was enough for 3 of us. They provided parking validation and parking is in the same building. Very convenient.

Came here since we were able to get a last minute reservation for our large group of 10. So cute inside and out whole group was enjoying the live music! The place was cute and very clean which is always appreciated. They had a great wine selection and all the dishes we tried were absolutely delicious! I had to take away a star because whenever we needed something we had to wave down the waiter to get his attention. He was very friendly but could use some improvement on the attentiveness. Overall, I'd still recommended! Great family friendly find, great for groups!

If you want some amazing fired pizza, this is the place. You have two options, Ala Carte or all you can eat. Depending on your party size both are great choices. The all you can eat is similar to a Brazilian steakhouse but with pizza. They come around with fresh pizza including their dessert pizzas. Save room for it all... The service is great and they make sure you are getting what you request. This place is not your average pizza place and worth the price.

Let me start off by saying the food was delicious and mimosas were strong with a hint of jugo just how I like it on vacay hahaha. Ambiance was very chilled relaxed and clean, casual dress code, loved the videos of parts of HI being displayed on the flat screens. Our waiter was so cool amazing and friendly had great recommendations for our group brunch. 1st empression of this place not going to lie was off to a rocky start the person that was suppose to greet and seat was very stand off and made it clear he did not want to provided service to our party of 3 group with reservations. In fact he walked past us no words, just to greet 2 people who just walked in no reservations. My cousin who was celebrating her birthday brunch spoke up and explained we had reservations. He then acknowledged the group and seated us. It was rough start like I stated but I was just happy my cousin enjoyed herself. Strongly dislike that there are individuals that are the greeting face of establishments that follow the black and favor white Agenda in HI.

pizza of me..... We got together with friends in January to catch up and to try a new place. NOTES / LOCATION 1. San Paolo Pizzeria is located in the former location of Outback Steakhouse in Waikiki. 2. Menu accessed via QR code. Please note there are 2 menus available: Ala Carte and The Pizza Experience (AYCE). 3. As of our visit on 1/30/26, the Pizza Experience (AYCE) was priced at $44.50. 4. Parking is in the garage associated with the complex SPP is located in. Sorry, not sure what the name is, but entrance of the garage is off of Ala Moana Blvd (1st right after you pass the restaurant East bound). Make sure to get validation. 5. Per the menu QR code, happy hour is Monday thru Friday, 5:00pm to 6:30pm. 6. Similar to the format at Brazilian bbq, there is a "stop and go" aide to assist servers on whether food should be served or not; Green = Yes, Please, Red = Taking a break FOOD / DRINK After closely looking over the menus, our group of 4 unanimously chose the AYCE. As there were a variety of savoury AND sweet pizza choices included, it made sense to choose the Experience. Much like your chain Brazilian bbq restaurants (I.e. Texas De Brazil), servers visited our table with both savoury and sweet pizzas. Wanting to save as much room as possible, I only indulged in the savouries, while others tried the sweet varieties. I enjoyed the Margherita pizza, and all other pizzas that had a healthy serving of cheeses included. A round(s) of drinks completed our meal. Yes, I'll have Moscow Mule please. Overall, we all enjoyed the pizzas and drinks. SERVICE The servers were very friendly, attentive, and patient with all our questions. Our primary server JP provided excellent customer service and checked on us periodically throughout the meal. I truly appreciated his knowledge, as well as patience, with all our many questions about the menu. side NOTE There was a live performer/singer during dinner. BOTTOM LINE A unique and satisfying dinner experience. Though I wouldn't go out of my way to drive into town just for a meal here, I would take visitors, or if on a Staycation in Waikiki, I would definitely consider dining here. Recommended.

The customer service (shout out to Victor P at the bar) and ambiance was good - even though there was no live music on a Sunday, Fathers Day, when there should have been. Outside of the lack of music, the only complaint is the menu. There are a lot of option and the pizza is good! We think the pizza is overpriced, wild that it's on average $30 for a "personal pan". Anyways, we shared a Neapolitan (10" - 4 slices) and the bolognese. We enjoyed the pizza, but the bolognese was bland. We've had fantastic bolognese in Italy and domestically and this one needs some help. Lastly, the drink menu...especially wine menu needs a revamp. For an upscale pizza place, I'd expect better quality wine. Other recommendation - maybe beer on draft? Currently, the beer is only bottle or can. Anyways, overall give it a try but you will be spending some $$.

Went right at opening and had 2 dollar off the inside is cute with a hipster vibe. Looks fancy for a pizza spot. They had an all you can eat pizza for $44 each which is a lot for a family of 4. Kids would be half off but still more than you expect for pizza. The staff was great and helpful. After my husband and I got 1 drink each the total after tax was $180. Great to try things new but this is what to expect for 2026 wiks pricing. We still had to pay $5 with validation at the marina parking

In addition to the waffles, the fruit was delish.

I'm so glad I found what looks like a hole in the wall from the outside but a magical place of delicious delights! That's literally how I felt. My first impression walking in was that this place is classy. From their brick walls to their beautiful furnishing. Their place mats feel like leather and their tables have little hooks to hang purses. Attention to detail! My wife and I shared a Brazilian breakfast and avocado toast with a poached egg. At first glance, the waffles looked like regular waffles, but they aren't. I think they are supposed to be cheesy. I didn't taste cheese. It was almost dough-like. And I ate the waffles like a toast without syrup. The avocado toast with poached egg was absolutely delish. To my surprise, it wasn't just avocado and egg. The layer of pesto really added a zesty flavor to the creaminess of the avacado. I'm so glad that the waiter had recommended the food we had. His attention to our pallet and service felt so upscale. I was so impressed with this place that my wife and I didn't have words to express to them how much we liked that place as we thanked the waiter and I think the owner. We are destined to come back... but next time... for dinner.

Spontaneous early dinner with co workers and this place was surprisingly amazing! I've worked at a few pizza places (Italian) and the crust on the pizzas were amazing! The toppings that were offered were diverse and high quality and very delicious! I did flinch at spending $60 a pizza...... Ambience was nice as it was a modern open restaurant with a centered bar and a small stage at front with live music. We had a bottle of wine which was a great choice! It was red recommended by our server! Service was great and extremely helpful!

JP was our server and he was friendly and attentive the entire time, took great care of us. The food was delicious! I pre-ordered appetizers, pizzas, and desserts online, and phoned ahead to ensure nothing was boxed for carry out, that I was just making it convenient for my party to relax. It worked out great! I had a party of 7 and not once was it hectic! There was live music, a saxophone player, on the stage. Overall a wonderful 1st time experience!

Made reservations for 6 of us on a Wednesday night. We ended up coming early and they sat us right away (my friend even brought his dog!). Food was great, as always. We had everything from cocktails, appetizers, pasta, pizza & desserts. Services was very good; everyone was really friendly. I like the modern design, and the way they represent Brazil & Hawaii together. I would definitely recommend this place. And it's great for large groups too.

San Paolo Pizzeria Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - San Paolo Pizzeria

How long have they been open?

They have been open less than a year. They are in the old Outback location.

How much is the AYCE option?

From what I remember it was about $40/person. One caveat the whole table has to chose this option, you can't have one person just ordering a pizza off the menu if they are a light eater.

Is this a comfortable place for a solo diner?

Yes. It's very spacious and great for a solo diner. Good night to go is when they have music.

I was wondering if they sell by slices?

    No, they don't.

Is this the soft crust droopy neapolitan style like most other pizza restaurants in HI are, or is it nice thin AND Crispy NY style? Please dont say combination and thanks in advance for taking the time.👍

If you want East Coast non-droopy pizza, go to Black Shamrock on Nuuanu.

    Where is the parking location?

Validated parking for San Paolo Pizzeria is located in the Ilikai MARINA Condominiums Parking Structure. Entrance is on Hobron Lane from the oceansidd corner of Ala Moana Blvd next to Red Lobster.

Is there a happy hour or a happy hour menu?

Yes. Happy Hour Monday to Friday 4-7pm.

Do they serve draft or is it bottled beer here?

    Both

After looking over the menu options, we stood waiting for quite a while before anyone acknowledged us or took our order. The manager seemed rude and unwelcoming, which immediately set a negative tone for the visit. Looking back we should have trusted our first impression, but we decided to give it a chance and see what the hype was about. We each ordered a slice of pizza and took it outside to eat. After eating , we walked past the glass wall of the cafe and I noticed the manager handling and mixing flour with his bare hands, with the flour mixture covering his hands and forearms. I didn't expect to see food prep without disposable gloves and it made me uncomfortable. The pizza itself didn't make up for the experience. At around $22 per slice, I was expecting something exceptional or life-changing, instead, it was pretty underwhelming. The flavor, texture, and overall quality just didn't justify the premium price. Between the unfriendly service, concerns about food handling, and the disappointing pizza, I don't feel the experience was worth the cost of overpriced slices of pizza and I will not be returning nor will I recommend Little G Cafe to others. There are plenty of other pizza spots in Honolulu, including Boston's Pizza, that offer better value and a much more welcoming atmosphere.

There aren't much frills so you can have water or soda from their mini fridge. Almost like going to a corner pizza place in the city. Sandwiches available sometimes. We go early for lunch on Sundays and grab a seat outside. The proprietor was especially kind and friendly to my FIL and I appreciated that. Overall this is the second best NY style pizza place after black shamrock by a small margin - the Jersey pie at shamrock with its awesome sauce and perfect crust is hard to beat but don't think you can order it by the slice. Smack dab in the center of Kaimuki. Offering pizza that tastes and looks like it came from Italy. It hits the sweet spot of upscale casual, blending refinement and taste, with neighborhood comfort. I admit I may be biased, as I used to work nearby and saw this place come to life from the beginning, often seeing the owner and staff around. The owner, Matt, is passionate about his craft and just an overall great human. Because of this, his staff is also top-notch; every experience I've had there, the service has been just like the ambiance--polished and refined, yet comfortable and welcoming. I can devour a pizza by myself with no problem (no misses, each one a hit), share a bunch of apps, pizzas, and pasta with a group, or simply sit at the bar and drink a glass of wine or a cocktail or two. I visited years ago and had a great meal, so I wonder if ownership or kitchen staff has changed, because the quality has noticeably dropped. Service-wise, our appetizer and pasta arrived in a timely manner. However, our pizza took a long time to come out. We noticed a table seated and ordered after us received their pizza first, which was confusing, though we figured they might have a specific order system in place. As for the food, almost every dish was wildly under-seasoned. I tend to use very little salt myself, but dish after dish was simply bland. We even overheard the table next to us--who ordered completely different menu items--complaining about the exact same issue. Beyond the lack of seasoning: Beets: Far too pungent from an overpowering vinegar taste. Pizza: A typical thin, floppy Neapolitan style, but the crust tasted like burnt ash. Pasta: A total bust with virtually no flavor. We regret not speaking up to management to give them a chance to fix it, but the experience was a letdown. While the restaurant has great ambiance, the lack of flavor means we likely won't be back. Rating: 2.5 / 5

The bite that had a good amount of sauce was incredibly flavorful, but the rest of the slice was a bit dry, and I tasted more oil than tomato sauce. It was great dough but the flavor was not there for me. I really want to love this pizza more! The staff was friendly, though it took a little while to get my slice. They reheat each slice to order, and they were busy making other items, so it was understandable. I'll be back to try a panini!

Lately I've been dining on soups like pho and ramen, lamb curry stews, and snacking on real fruit smoothies, and I felt like I needed a change of pace. However, I didn't realize I had this burning desire until I saw the foodie pics here on Yelp. It was then that I seriously wondered how I could inject a little more variety into my foodie repertoire. I saw this restaurant listed on Yelp and immediately thought, Ooh, what about Italian??? :D Myself replied: Mmm, that sounds tantalizing, Jules Y.! :D After perusing the menu to make sure I wasn't gonna miss out on a thing, it only took a few seconds for me to hone in on the two items I ultimately ordered: * 16" Florentine pizza (gigante) * Gnocchi Gorgonzola with added mushrooms I added mushrooms to the gnocchi dish, which was a fantastic decision I would not want to go without on future dines of this dish. The pizza was a thin crust topped with luscious mozzarella, rough-chopped garlic, spinach, and ricotta cheese. The gnocchi contained chicken chunks, potato gnocchi, luscious cream sauce, and the mushrooms I added. The Florentine immediately caught my eye. I'm particular about not eating sausage, pepperoni, and other typical pizza meats, so this cheese-and-spinach combination was exactly what I was looking for. I expected something around a medium-sized pizza, but what arrived was this unexpectedly large pie sitting inside a huge, flat pizza box. It seemed enormous! The crust was thin with a nicely fire-charred edge, while the center was packed with luscious cheesy goodness. Random dollops of ricotta, spinach leaves, and these entirely unexpected little chunks of fresh, soft, juicy garlic created little flavor explosions throughout every bite. It made eating the pizza fun because each slice was a little different. Although I thought I was hungry enough to eat a lion, I naturally stopped after only a couple of slices. That turned out to be a bonus because I had delicious leftovers for lunches and dinners over the next couple of days. The Gnocchi Gorgonzola was a different experience altogether. Tender potato gnocchi were coated in a thick, luscious cream sauce with chunks of chicken scattered throughout. The mushrooms I added were thinly sliced and blended in perfectly with the gnocchi, chicken, and creamy sauce. My only criticism is that the dish was saltier than I would have preferred. I think using about half as much salt would have allowed the flavors of the gnocchi and sauce to shine through even more. Aside from that, every bite was pleasantly chewy, rich, creamy, and satisfying. The sauce was everywhere--and that is definitely a good thing. Yum! These two dishes complemented each other perfectly because they offered completely different flavors and textures. The rich, cheesy Florentine pizza paired wonderfully with the creamy Gnocchi Gorgonzola. If I eat here again, I'll probably order these exact same dishes. If you enjoy Italian food as much as I do, I suspect you'll enjoy Aroma Italia's menu.

We ordered the Repetti pizza and fettuccine with diavolo sauce and meatballs. We also had the Caesar salad and focaccia bread with marinara sauce. Our server was Grace. Grace was so friendly and knowledgeable and professional. In addition to the food, Grace made the dining experience exceptional. We sat outside and even though it was a very hot day, the temperature was very comfortable under the roofed area. The Pinot Grigio was excellent! Our meal was brought out in a timely manner and Grace was an attentive server. The Caesar dressing is perfection! The diavolo sauce was delicious and just-right spicy. We loved the meatballs and the fettuccine was cooked perfectly. The pizza!!!!! Wow. Just the right amount of crisp in the crust and the toppings were a delicious combination of flavors. The focaccia with marinara could have been a meal for me. The bread was hot and crispy while also being soft and savory. I couldn't get enough of the marinara. We had a lot of leftovers and ate some for dinner and still have more for tomorrow. Repetti's will be a new place for us to dine and bring friends as often as possible. We were so impressed and could not have wanted any of the experience to be different. Fantastic in every way!

Wait times were minimal between ordering, appetizers, main course, and dessert. Although I ate leisurely, I was there for about 90 minutes. The atmosphere is so enjoyable, especially if you get outdoor seating. Cool, quiet, intimate. . Salads with every entree as well as bread? Makes the prices worthwhile. Every pasta dish was delicious: baked ziti, fettucine, pesto sauce. 10/10. Pizza and calzones if you have someone in your party who doesn't want traditional.
