Specifically came because I had a craving for shrimp scampi. I always love to look at photos of what I'm eating before I go. They didn't have one on here but I'm glad I decided to try it out. So delicious!! Also got the vodka pasta, garlic bread and cannoli. 10:10 will come back again :) now yall can see how delicious this looks!! You're welcome

Little Italian spot that is cute inside with a bar, regular seating areas, and outside seating. The dishes were excellent!!! We started with chicken liver pate' and garlic bread. Oh my, did I try the liver pate...yes, and loved it. Our dishes were a pea pasta and a cavatelli with pork and whipped ricotta. The flavors were amazing. Everything was delicious and perfectly cooked. Our waitress was awesome too! Extremely knowledgeable and helpful in all aspects. Wonderful!!!

Portland Dining month is what brought us in... the food and service are what will keep us coming back. Yum!!!! Pictured are the panelle (chickpea fritters), rigatoni, sausage and peppers, ricotta gnocchi, chicken scarpriella and cannolis... Everything was delicious and tasty!!! I was just talking to my sis about already planning a return and we just ate here last night.

Service was rough both times we visited, i do enjoy their caio e pepe. However i don't think we'll be back.

Came here for dinner a random weekend night without a reservation and was able to grab a table pretty quickly. If you're not pressed for time with a group I would actually recommend getting a bar seat as they have the happy hour menu there all night vs. just the set times for the other tables. You can then get a set of pastas for $18 each which is solid as it's on the pricier side on the regular menu for $29 (mind you they are not the same items though) The happy hour menu seems where it's at as you can also get apps and drinks at a discounted price. We ended up getting a table just as a couple left the bar but were already seated so we just stayed at the table and ordered the meatballs, Linguine 'alle Vongole'. Rapini and Cavatelli. I was excited to try campana based on seeing some reels around the place and it is a quaint spot that was pretty busy. However, I will say the timing of the meal was quite slow and even for just the couple items we got we spent over 2 hours here. As for the items, they tasted fresh and glad to have tried the fresh pasta. I enjoyed the linguine out of the two and would pass the rapini next time (if you want something more on the bitter side to cut richness you can try it). Considering the wait time and pricing I would probably check out some other restaurants before coming back unless I was able to come back for HH.

I've been meaning to try this place for a while and decided today is the day. And I'm so glad I did! I love everything about this place: the space, lighting, music, food, drinks. I especially appreciated the interesting artwork throughout the place as well as the Campana Manhattan that blends vermouth with my favorite amaro, Meletti. Of course, I started with the bread and olive oil. It was amazing. I swear that bread could feed an army! The arugula salad was delightful. And I greatly enjoyed the pasta puttanesca. The simple scoop of blackberry sorbet was a perfect end to a delightful meal. Service from everyone was terrific. I'm looking forward to returning. It's well worth the trek up here!

We went in for the Portland Dining Month special menu. We were given the regular menu and the Dining Month menus to choose from when we were seated. We both ordered from that menu. We expected portion sizes to be smaller due to the Dining Month menus. Nope. Portions were full sized which means they were very generous!!!

Why haven't we tried this sooner!! Love they take reservations as it is a bit of a drive for us. I got the shrimp risotto which was special as I never see risotto anywhere. It was amazing but heavy butter of course, so I should share in the future to be nice to my tummy. I could only eat half anyway as the portion was huge. Tasted great leftover. Husband had the ricotta ravioli and really enjoyed it. They had a nice Italian white wine with a generous pour. The owner is around helping and was very nice. So many other good looking items on the menu to come back and try. We should have tried the gelato for dessert but were stuffed. Very nice atmosphere and good service.

I travel for work so I came here very randomly with no reservation or any real idea of the popularity of this place and I'm lucky I got a seat at the bar! If you're making a plan to come out here definitely get a reservation. But I will say, I think sitting at the bar was definitely a lucky break. They have happy hour food and drinks at the bar all day long and, while I didn't drink, the deals on food were great. Definitely the best prices for portions on the happy hour menu. Honestly not sure if I'd be happy to pay full price for the quality and portions, so it's a good thing I sat at the bar I guess! I got the garlic bread and rigatoni with guanciale. Pasta was perfectly al dente and the guanciale was delicious (as usual) but other than that nothing really to write home about. The bread was PHENOMENAL, so thick and soft... but very lacking in the garlic of it all?! Had to take off an extra star for that unfortunately bc I am a garlic girl fr. One warning, if you do sit by the bar, you sit very close to the open kitchen... I walked out smelling very strongly of all the food they'd cooked in the time I'd been sitting there and those clothes are rotting somewhere in my suitcase making everything smell a little charred

After living in Chicago for so long, we've been spoiled with wonderful Italian food and we were in search of a new place with delicious house made pasta. We came across Campana and it did not disappoint! Great authentic flavors and love that they use local ingredients from the PNW. The cavatelli with pork ragu and whipped ricotta is a must. Atmosphere here is inviting and warm, they also have happy hour!

First time trying this place. I was in town and took my son and his new bride of 3 months to dinner here. They had been wanting to try it. Everything was delicious. The salad was one of the best I have ever had. We all loved it. The bread was divine too. Risotto had Gorgonzola and pear in it and was magnificent. Pork was very tender. Good meatballs. My son is a pastry chef and wanted to try their tiramisu. He thought it was very good. I like his better personally it has a different texture but this one is worth getting and so is the cannoli. I would definitely come back and would love to try their Happy Hour specials. 2 thumbs up. Service was excellent too!

This is a nice little place for a tasty bite. The menu wasn't huge, but there were several different options, including vegetarian ones to choose from. We ordered only a few items, including a glass of the house wine for that evening, which was delicious! We started with the meatballs that came with a hunk of garlic bread (that was my favorite part of the dish). The red sauce had good flavor, with the right amount of spice/herbs. However, the meatballs fell incredibly short. You could tell they were frozen at one point, but they were barely warm. One was even cold in the middle. The one I did have had reasonable flavor and overall the dish was good, minus the temp. The cavatelli dish was nice with the whipped ricotta. The ragu sauce was similar to that served with the meatballs and meshed well with the pork. Based on the few dishes we ordered, this place offers simple, yet appetizing dishes.

Campana kept popping up on lists of the best places to eat dinner in Portland, so we decided to give it a try. Though there were no reservations available online, I called, and the host was kind enough to accommodate us. The restaurant is spread across several levels and rooms, which makes for a somewhat unusual layout. We were seated next to a ramp on our level, and while the host was gracious, the service could use a little improvement. The staff repeatedly served us over the railing from the ramp instead of walking around to our table, which felt a bit lazy. That said, the bread was the highlight of the meal--absolutely to die for, and I don't usually rave about bread! We ordered the meatballs, and the bread that came with it was phenomenal. We also ordered from the happy hour menu (available until 6 p.m.), and when the bill came, we were pleasantly surprised at how affordable everything was. We tried the Amatriciana, Risotto, Penne Alla Vodka, and a glass of white wine. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente, and while I enjoyed the pasta, it wasn't something I'd rush back for. Still, the overall experience was good, and for the price, it's definitely worth the visit.

Do you serve Gluten free pasta?

They did offer this when we frequented the restaurant, however you should check with them before arrival.

What is your corkage fee? We are coming to Portland to take a friend to dinner who married us several years ago. We would like to bring the bottle of wine he gave us as a present when he married us.?

I don't know what it is. But I'm sure it's reasonable. I wouldn't let that stop me from going to any restaurant.

The tables setting up with fresh flowers, always tempted me to have a celebration of one of my sons, soon! I tell that to myself every year. This year, it finally happened. It was a crisp Autumn, we have a table right at the door entrance (later on they closed it for the night). It was about 63 degrees. It wasn't windy. It wasn't raining! I thought we would be upstairs, because, while using the restrooms (for the use of the vendors), I didn't think there was enough seats for downstairs, but I was wrong. Anyway, we get to tour upstairs, for larger groups, and the youngest one specially who is into firemen, and fire engines, got to see what an old 'firehouse' used to look like upstairs. I've always wondered, as I look up from my booth space, what it was like upstairs. Thanks, for letting my family go take a peek. The foods we ordered, were all for sharing. Everyone enjoyed everything. I thought, I was having my first Burrata, it was exceptionally good, but oldest son said he made that at his house, once. (I must not have enjoyed it, but I liked the Firehouse' better). We also Margherita and Pepperoni Pizza. Pizza was fantastic. Marinated Beets, Herbed Yoghurt, Fresh Horseradish, Hazelnuts. Butternut Squash Pasta and the Pork Ragu. They were devoured by all of us, all good! Really enjoyed it. Side dishes were good. Cocktails were also very good. I'd definitely go back, it was a hidden gem.

I eat a lot of delicious food. Guess what? The food blew my flipping mind. I let my friend choose our meal. We started with the kampachi & elderflower crudo. It was gorgeous! The color of the kampachi, when accompanied by the charred cucumbers and actual elderflowers was a wow first dish. So delicious! The bread, a type I had never seen before - like a puffy pita, but so much better - was used to sop up the crudo drizzle, and then the sauce accompanying the padrons. Those padrons. I love padrons, and had never found a restaurant that had a sauce or dip that did anything to highlight the taste or add any culinary value. Until No Saint. Listen to this - there was a pepper aioli, but on top of that was the most beautiful, brilliant green oil. I found out later it was a mint oil. I had never tasted mint oil, and somehow it was perfect with the savory padrons. The confetti cilantro (which I've bought at the Montavilla farmers market but never had the heart to use it instead of regular basil - never again will confetti basil die in vain in my fridge!) was so delicious! The lime was almost imperceptible, but we finally recognized it and talked about how it added the final touch. Next, the endive Caesar salad. I love good food - cooking good food, eating good food, reading about good food! Still, I have never loved endive. I've never bought it for a meal. I would walk past the endives in the market and avoid eye contact. To say the endive was amazing in this salad is to undersell the salad! Often, I think the simplest of dishes show if a place is good, down to the basics. Often there is a "twist" that drives me crazy. Or the dish is just bad! This Caesar was so good my friend and I carefully divided the last of it so there would be no hard feelings. For our entrees, my friend chose the Morel and Asparagus Lasagnette, and Snap Peas and Mortadella pizza. I would have chosen one of the red sauce pizzas - I not a fan of most "white" pizzas. Thank god she didn't let me choose! The lasagnette was the circumference of a lasagna serving, but half as tall (or less). That isn't a criticism! Again, the brilliant green of the arugula pesto made the presentation. The handmade pasta kicked. We separated the lasagnette into two pieces. It's a good thing we did, because I would not have been able to stop at half. I can't describe the flavor, but if they have it on the menu when you go, get it! The pizza arrived. Not only was it a white pizza, but covered in pistachios. I'm not a kvetcher, so I just took a bite. Frigging hell - it was good. Exceptionally good. The flavors of the toppings, the basil puree, nutmeg, and lemon (as well as the aforementioned pistachios) sang in perfect harmony. I was almost stuffed when it came, but could not put it down! I ate two pieces, and then my friend said we should stop, to save room for dessert. This friend of mine is skinny. She's always been skinny, and it isn't something she makes happen. She just has those skinny genes. I am not skinny, and felt like I was going to burst. I have never seen my friend stop because she was full! She ordered the tiramisu, and I asked for a cappuccino on the side. The tiramisu came out, and it was the circumference and height of your regular piece of lasagne! Another example of a common Italian dish that can be really, really done wrong. Not at No Saint. No Saint nailed the landing. I left full, but also feeling lighter. The meal had been a revelation, the restaurant design a welcoming, wonderful place. The pizzaolos are in the center of the room, back-to-back with the bartender. Not literally back to back. I hope you get what I mean. It is wide open and not packed with knickknacks or over-staged art - it made me want to not just clean my house, but toss half of the stuff in it! I never choose to sit at the bar (Except for Lucky Horseshoe - the bar is the best!). My friend chose the bar, and once again (I know, I'm getting repetitive) it was the ideal place for us. The stools are really comfortable. The wide bar is perfect for fitting lots of plates and glasses, and you get to see so much. I left, and the next morning, when I woke up, the food I ate at No Saint was my first thought. Throughout the day, one dish or another would pop into my mind. I love going to all the different restaurants, but now I just want Old Saint. Am I ready to finally commit and stop playing the field? I might not be able to resist.

We arrived around 8pm, but they had run out of the meat platter including all meats, so we instead opted to order half lbs of brisket, a sausage, and pulled pork + The Cindy (5 sides for $20). They found that the last of their mac and cheese was a bit dry, and offered us to double up on a side. We debated between salad & beans, and they ended up bringing us both sides + a sausage free of charge. The service was outstanding, and everyone was so full of energy even so late in the day. We were accommodated and assisted very well, making this a great experience. Pricing wise, coming from California, the cost was a steal. We paid $57 for what we ordered, and it could've easily fed us (a family of 4). We ended up taking home leftovers + the free food they gave us. Brisket (5/5) - Was not dry at all. Juicy with a lot of flavor, my favorite. Most places I've tried have been really dry, so it was nice to finally have good brisket. Sausage (5/5) - Was also pretty juicy with good flavor and a good size. Pulled Pork (4/5) - It was good, but just honestly not my flavor. I have a preference towards sausage and brisket, which may impact my opinion. Pork + Beans (4/5) - Tasted great with generous amounts of pork. It was just a bit too spicy for me to enjoy fully. Caesar Salad (5/5) - Was honestly really good with perfect amounts of dressing, lots of cheese and croutons. Coleslaw (2/5) - It was too sour/lemony for me and not my favorite coleslaw I've had. Tater Tots (5/5) - I was confused at how they looked at first, but they tasted amazing. They were seasoned all around and I absolutely loved these. Overall, I would 100% recommend. The place itself is inside a bar, so the atmosphere is very upbeat and energetic. Service was one of the best experiences I've received, and was very inexpensive.

This is the best BBQ I've had in Portland by a pretty wide margin. Reminds me a lot of visiting LA…read moreBBQ in Austin a decade or so ago (which given the lineage is not a surprise). The meats are excellent, the sides are very, very good, and the space is awesome even when it's crowded. I've had the Holy Matrimony on both of the occasions I've visited so I feel confident saying there's at least decent consistency and it wasn't just a lucky visit. Brisket is perfectly seasoned with plenty of pepper to complement the salt but not overwhelm the flavor of the beef. Ribs are meaty and delicious; tender without falling apart or turning to mush. Again, superb seasoning, big grains of tasty black pepper, and savory smoke complimenting rather than overwhelming the meat. The chicken thighs might be my favorite of all! I'm surprised that sliced, boneless chicken works this well but it REALLY does! They don't need sauce, but here especially a little touch is a killer compliment. The pulled pork is succulent but maybe just a little more tender than I prefer; and the sausage has a spicy finish, pleasant snap to the casing, and is nicely ground. The pickles are AMAZING!!! Jalapeños, onions, and cucumbers are all crisp, sharp, fresh, and perfect to enjoy with the meats. Of the sides the beans are my favorite, tots probably second, Caesar third, then Mac and cheese (pasta maybe a touch overcooked), and finally the slaw (I'll take vinegar over mayo any time). The first time I visited was a Friday evening and it was PACKED; today was mid-day on a Saturday which was MUCH tamer but the wait in both cases was not bad at all. There are still a few spots in PDX I'd like to explore in terms of BBQ but I feel confident Lil BBQ has earned (and will retain) a spot right at the top.

Not only is the food good and the portions are generous, but those meatballs (an add on) is where it's at! They really load up the plates, so you're definitely getting your money's worth here. Don't skip the cannolis - they're one of our favorite things on the menu you get three for each order. The drinks are straightforward, well-made and reasonably priced. No need to Sit Tite for too long, as the service here is fast! They recently expanded their outdoor patio area. Between the patio, pool table, arcade games and its relaxed atmosphere - it's an easy spot to spend a few hours with friends.

TL;DR Local bar with a dive feel but surprisingly delicious meals happy hour from 4-6 with some good deals for drafts and cocktails What to say about Sit Tite... well sit tight and find out! Anyway corny jokes aside this bar can seem mysterious from the outside but it's a great local bar with a great food menu and a pretty solid cocktail list. Being as this is my local bar it's a great place to unwind after a long day of work, or even just to stop by and say hello. The bartenders are friendly the vibes are neighborly and the drinks are flowing. They got a pool table, pinball machines, Photo Booth, patio it's one of those great hangout places (I just wish I had more friends to go there with and share a drink ) needless to say this place is great and their fried lasagna is one of the best I've ever had.
