For Mother's Day, we came to Campisi's because it was the only restaurant we attempted to go to that could accommodate 8 people. The inside was intimate and appropriate for large gatherings. The hostess was nice, but unfortunately that is where (most of) the good ends. The cheesy bread and house salad were the best things to eat here. Everything else, while fresh, lacked a lot of flavor, especially the Alfredo sauce in the pasta. It was so disappointing because the food actually looks really good. Also, I felt like our waitress, while nice on a surface level, was visibly uncomfortable serving us. Considering we were a party of 8 black people, it was not a good experience for us. The manager was VERY uninviting and rude to his wait staff--you don't discipline your employees in front of customers while they eat. I hope the waitress he scolded in front of everyone gets a new job ASAP! Also, that same manager did not talk to a single customer in the restaurant when he wasn't doing anything. Never seen anything like it. Don't support this place. It is not worth your time or money. We will certainly not be back. read more

I was extremely disappointed in my visit today. I walked in and there was no one, literally no one working. I stood at the hostess station for almost 10 minutes. There was not a hostess, or a bartender or a manager to be seen. Eventually a waiter walked out from the back, looked directly at me and continued on his way. Finally someone again appeared from out of the back and asked if he could help me. His attitude was poor, it was as if I put him out to be there. The place was drab and the atmosphere was dark. Everyone had a poor attitude, they were very short and acted as if they were angry or unhappy and didn't really care about waiting on you. I used to love this place, but after this visit it feels like there must be a lot more going on than meets the eye. The food was mediocre at best this time. I don't think I'll be back. Never complain about food , I figure there trying but oh God the server, starting talking back on items. Asked for a coke and club soda.​ argued for way to long saying they don't have it. Argued about my salmon medium or well done.. if you eat salmon you know. Asked for reduced salt (I'm a heart patient) so much salt I couldn't eat it. Calamari was yummy. Service went well. This location isn't as unique as in Dallas but it's nice. Our experience was ok only because we ended up sitting next to a large party of people who were so loud hubby and I couldn't hear one another talk. So we decided to take our food home. read more

I can't remember when I had worse Italian food. I regret not checking the yelp reviews. I should have know when the salad came out old and soggy. 1 olive 1 pepperchino, drenched iceberg lettuce. I took a chance with the trio...of ravioli, spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna. See photo they drowned it in the burgundy color red sauce with an aweful flavor. Jar sauce is better! 1 meatballs, 2 tiny raviolis, overcooked spaghetti and the lasagna fell apart with one fork fill. I pushed away the aweful sauce struggled, ate the meatball, 2 ravioli and some crappy lasagna. Everything tasted dated and of poor quality . The topper was when the server short changed me by $2.00. I know it's cheap but considering the food I was upset. I left, no manager no reparations. Save you money this is not real Italian food! Go to an Olive Garden a much better choice! read more

Maybe they excel in different locations. We received excellent service from Elizabeth, however, my meal had to be sent back twice. The pasta was cooked unevenly with tough spots, the alfredo sauce lacked flavor, the salad consisted of only iceberg lettuce with one banana pepper, and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. The bread and calamari were good, but the main dish was very disappointing. Additionally, the bartender repeatedly used profanity towards a couple at the bar, saying "You're the f-ing problem." Yum!! This was my first time at Campisi's and it was delicious! I had a pepperoni and sausage pizza and split the garlic bread and meatballs with the rest of my party for appetizers. The pizza was great and is definitely enough for 2 people! I wasn't the biggest fan of the garlic bread, but the meatballs were pretty good! I hope to be back soon! read more

This was our second visit to this place. The first was almost 10 years ago and it was not memorable. We hoped it would be better this time, and it was. We both started with a small salad with house made Italian dressing. Very nice and they weren't overdressed. Entrees were lasagna and angel hair with meat sauce. Both arrived piping hot and in less than 10 minutes. Plenty of tasty sauce and perfectly cooked pasta. It is a bit pricey but portions are large enough for two meals. I have really tried to like this place. But the guys cooking this stuff must be tired or untrained. This food tastes like it comes out of a bag. The salad was horrible. It looked like they took a head of lettuce and sliced it. Then they threw scallions min it. And then just brought it out. ‍ the pizza is still bad. Like frozen pizza. My niece got the spaghetti and meat sauce. It was scorched from where they scraped the bottom of the pot. I can't see what in the world the people from the Ridglea CC see in this place. We shared the Greek salad and it was big enough for two and had the right amountnof everything. For our main course we shared a medium Meat Supreme, we loved the thin crust and the generous toppings. Our drinks were refilled promptly and our server was attentive but not hovering. We give Campisi's 10/10. I keep trying, I really do. I run with people who eat here all. The. Time. It's like entering a strange world in which "super average flatbread" is considered "OUR FAMOUS PIZZA!" Has anyone who comes here eaten *anywhere else*, like *ever*? After being unconvinced the first visit, I read through some 4 and 5 star reviews to see what people love about this place. Enter self-proclaimed "Italian guy from Jersey" who said the lasagna here is the "best he's ever had". I grew up in New England so I know that the Jersey Italian food opinion is not to be taken lightly. So I ordered lasagna, happy that it is one of the least expensive things on the "most generic Italian food restaurant menu ever". Once we ordered, our server vanished for close to 20 minutes. We were celebrating my 8 y/o step daughter's birthday and everyone had their drink but her. She also brought one basket of bread for seven people. It was gone in about 30 seconds. I finally asked another server to send ours back with the drink. She returned swiftly with it in hand and was very apologetic, which I appreciate, but still wtf?? Another 20 minutes went by and she came out again with, I kid you not, the SADDEST little salad I have ever seen. The entrees followed two minutes after, so my perception was that the salad had been ready for 10 minutes before she brought it out and she was having a break or a moment, in the back, idk. But, before me sat warm, limp, iceberg lettuce with too much oil and vinegar dressing in a small plastic bowl. My first thought was, "I didn't know mine came with a salad, can I get a Caesar?" But, I didn't even want to ask. I have to say the lasagna was quite good, though it varied so much from bite to bite that sometimes it was too sweet, sometimes way too salty, and when I got into the ricotta in the center it was dry. But, eating around the outside of it first, it was very flavorful, and quite large. Another minor gripe, which I can admit is a pet peeve of mine, is charging for ranch sides. Salad dressing or dipping sauce should *come with* the dish. If it needs to be dipped or smothered to taste good, I shouldn't be charged extra for it cuz, guess what? Your pizza crust is like a cracker. It's just irritating. We ordered cheesecake for the birthday girl and it was very good. I don't know if they make it or buy it, but the toppings were sweet and the cake moist and filling. So, three stars for being "eh" and for uneven service. read more

An old favorite of mine. My husband loves the Chicken Parmesan they make here. I've had many things from the menu, I like their meatballs and alfredo sauce. A star removed because they charge so much for a little garden salad. They would be better served by working it into the price of a meal. read more

My fiance and I are from out of town and we decided to celebrate our 6 year anniversary here. The food was amazing and they had a nice selection of drinks. We came an hour before closing but we didn't feel rushed at all. Our server Danijela was very sweet and attentive, she really made the experience worth while. We normally love Campisi's and prefer the original one in Dallas - but we go to this one more. So what happened? We both got the pasta combo as we always have. Sauce, as usual and bread was delicious. Salad too. The ravioli was way Al dente hard around the edges. They were smaller than usual. The meatball was smaller and so was the portion of lasagna and spaghetti. Of course, the price went up to $16.99! We won't be going back. It's ok to raise prices - but to do so and cut portion? Nah... I can make the same at home. How do I know the portion was smaller? Because I could NEVER finish that meal. I nearly ate all of it and husband cleaned his plate. He always had enough left for a small lunch. And to think we wouldn't notice? And we knew this too - but open dining is very noisy. So don't go with someone who is hard of hearing or soft spoken (non-Italian haha) because you won't hear them. read more

This was my first time at Campisi's Ft Worth. The hostess and wait staff were wonderful 10 out of 10. The food however was a 2out it 10. The calamari was not fresh was slightly burnt. And tasteless. The veal Scapini. Marsala was bland and greasy and tasteless . And the parsley was wilted on top veal. The mushrooms were canned. There was no pepper mill, no fresh olive oil and the bread was hard and crunchy. The salad was well seasoned. But i wasn't asked if i wanted a cream based dressing. But considering i didn't see any olive oil in an Italian restaurant. I'm not surprised. I think this restaurant stays busy because it's been around so long and not the food. read more

I grew up on Campisi's (Dallas location) and it was absolutely the best pizza in town...everything was amazing! Unfortunately it is the opposite for the camp Bowie location. Not sure why but the pizza sauce is just not the same. It's almost offensive tasting. We can't eat it. So husband have it another chance and ordered lasagna. BAD, I mean real bad. Pretty much layers of noodles with watery sauce in between the layers. He couldn't even finish it. Super small portion too. Only thing we enjoy are the crab claws. They are pretty good! Sharing a simple "Chopped Salad" which had a light vinaigrette; a half order of delicious and garlicky "Crab Claws; a wonderful "Meatball" with a sweet tomato sauced spaghetti; and, overcooked "fettuccine" with cold bites of"shrimps"! More pleasant it'd be if the service was better! Long waits to order and for food to arrive; forgetting one of our orders; trying to take unfinished plates away; and, while they state that they're open till 10pm, the noisy cleaning up around us made us feel rushed and hurried to get out!
