Cap't Loui is worth checking out for the lunch special alone. At $15.95, it's one of the better deals around, with two seafood choices, one side, and a drink. The sauce is easily the star of the meal -- rich, buttery, perfectly seasoned, and honestly better than most other local seafood boil places I've tried. The shrimp and crawfish were decent quality and definitely hit the spot. The service was just okay. Nothing terrible, but not especially attentive either. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The biggest downside is probably the interior. The restaurant itself isn't very old, but the booths and some parts of the dining area already look pretty worn down and could really use some repairs or updating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall though, the food and that sauce keep me coming back. Great value for lunch and definitely one of the better seafood boil spots in town.

The interior is nice, with nautical decor and several TVs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a great selection of drinks, including adult Capri Sun cocktails in a bag. I didn't try them, but the waitress shared that they are popular. The service was great, as was the food. I did deduct a star because I wasn't a huge fan of the boil sauce here. It wasn't particularly flavorful compared to other places I've been. It was also watery, in my opinion. Other than that, the food was good and it's pretty comparable in price and overall value to other seafood boil spots.
[[HIGHLIGHT]]I visited on a Friday night, and the place was at about 70% capacity.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There were only two people handling the register, ordering, and serving, so they were incredibly busy. Fish & Chips: The texture was crispy and oily, the flavor bland. It came with ketchup, tartar, and thousand island, but no vinegar. Fries: Thin fries with a mix of both salty and sweet. 1/2 lb Shrimp Boil: This came with one potato and 1/3 corn. The flavor was just okay. You can only order by the half or full pound, and I wish they offered a combo option.
Omg! 10/10. Went on 7/25/26 about 8:30pm and our server was amazing. I dont remember her name but she was great. It was my daughter's bday and first time ever having a seafood boil and she wanted the works and wanted to know how to eat everything and boy did she get a great lesson. Im so appreciative. The time, the service, the friendliness. You made our night, most importantly my daughter's night. Definitely a highlight of out trip from Los Angeles. We will definitely be back. Oh and the food was amazing. The taste, freshness, sauce. Everything was so good. Thank you again!

I'm actually surprised at the high number of reviews for this place. The food was.. fine. Nothing great. Everything lacked salt. The sauce on both seafoods was literally just butter and red pepper flakes. No flavor. We had to ask for salt. I had to ask for lemons and my seasoning was supposed to be "lemon pepper." It had zero taste of lemon. The clams had huge shells but tiny little bites. The shrimp were cleaned nice but again, needed seasoning. The rice also needed seasoning. The corn needed salt. The potatoes were blah. The service was fine. Nothing crazy. There are way better seafood "boils" in town.
I do love me some fish and chips! And I was very glad when I found Cap't Loui's. It was super close to my house, and I wasn't really sure what to expect, although they had great Google ratings as well as great Yelp ratings. Place is super easy to find in shopping center. Ample parking, and nestled right in the center. You really can't miss it unless you're trying. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you walk in the door and look to your left, there's the captain and his pet grab ready to greet you. The place definitely has a seafood vibe, nuts on the walls, and just an overall rustic seafood type venue.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lots and lots of seating, tables, and booths, as well as a bar so all the bases are covered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Covered. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Plus there are several widescreen TVs all over the place in case you want to look at something other than the amazing food they bring you.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the captain's platter, which came with soft shell, crab, shrimp, fish, and calamari. I will say this, their french fries are top notch! And the sauces that bring out to you are second to none. My friends ordered the fish and chips plate which was huge! As well as the shrimp plate with sweet potato fries. I personally am not a sweet potato fry type person, but she said they were amazing and the shrimp worked perfectly cooked. I got to tell you, a majority of the fish and chips places I go to the fish and the fries can sometimes be greasy. This was definitely not the case here. The fish and all the other fried foods were super crisp and knock greasy at all. Honestly this will be on my list of places to go for sure! The bottom line? Hoist the sail and swab the poop deck because Cap't Loui's is definitely your go-to place for fish and chips. I am looking forward to going for oyster Tuesday and see how that fares.

This is not something you can do often, unless you have money to spend like that, but its worth it. Only my hubby and I shared a bag. Crab legs were a good size. My uncle had a Po Boy and my son had chicken and fries. Everything was delicious!
This is the place to be on Tuesdays! They have a $1 oyster special. You can only order in half dozen or dozen increments, so at first I asked for a half and then a second. Service was quick both times. I ordered an adult capri sun drink and it was delicious, came in a festive pouch with ice cubes that lit up. The ambiance is pretty relaxed, there were a few other families dining there on a Tuesday night. Overall, a great experience, will definitely go back.
Came here with my family of 6 and myself on a Sunday upon placing our order rice and noodles came in and then we were told they didn't have enough spoons or forks for us to use, my kids were eating rice and noodles with their fingers. I asked the server for disposable ones she said the had them but it was only for to go orders make that make sense you are charging us a automatic gratuity fee because we are 7 and you are more worried about the to go orders where most of the time you do not get tipped. Will not be returning to this place. It was a bummer because we were actually happy that this place opened around our home.
I don't want to sound ungrateful or rude but I'm not sure how Cap't Loui's has a high standard for their food. The service was great from our server, the ambiance is nice, and the restaurant wasn't too crazy busy when we went in last night for dinner. We were excited to try this restaurant based on the reviews about the food and the service. We were seated immediately wnd were offered water to drink while we browsed the menu and caught up with family. Their restaurant has ample space; and the decorations are similar to other seafood boil joints, so pretty familiar. Their prices are decent, you can go during lunch time and get some good deals on meals, they have a chicken option if seafood isn't your favorite. You can get up to 4 proteins I think in a boil bag; so if you want to have variety it up then you absolutely can! Oh and you can also choose headless shrimp for an extra $2 in your bag versus head on like most places. However, the taste isn't there in the food. When you choose a boil bag, your server will shake it for you before setting it down in front of you, which I guess adds to the excitement. I got the fried fish and chips with the Cajun fries. My husband and father in law got the fisherman's platter, my daughter got the chicken sandwich and my brother in law got the boiler. The spice level for the boiler bag's Cap't Loui mild was lackluster. It needs more of everything! The shrimp was decent, wasn't overcooked; didn't seem frozen or anything like that. The chicken sandwich was the medium choice with Cajun fries- and the same, not really spicy. However, their chicken looked very freshly breaded and fried, and the presentation was great. Now the baskets, you get a 2 ounce cup of tartar, ketchup and another remoulade type sauce. You get plenty of fries with your order, (in all orders). I asked for lemon for my cod, which wasn't too bad. However, the batter didn't look or taste fresh. My cod tasted overcooked, or frozen for a bit then fried again unfortunately. The fisherman's basket was okay also. Nothing crazy to write home about, but the calamari didn't taste fresh or look fresh either. Overall, the service was great from our server, they kept our drinks refilled, checked on our table constantly and engaged with us while we were there. If the food was more flavorful, and seemed a lot more fresh or homemade, I think Cap't Loui's would do much better in business. They are in a great spot, and have the potential! But I wouldn't be back! The beignets were good.
Came to eat at this Henderson location. Service is great. They are constantly checking on you. The lemon pepper has really good flavor and a fresh finish. The captain Loui sauce is very flavorful. I got medium and it wasn't too spicy. I've had medium at other places and it was Too hot to eat. We got a side of garlic noodles and it came with ample Parmesan cheese and I believe it was tossed in butter. Definitely do not skip on the garlic noodles. You can also add noodles to your bag, but I would not recommend that because I think it's soaked up too much of the sauce. I did ask for more sauce and the waiter was kind enough to bring my bag back and put more sauce on it. Wilson was our server and he was the best! He was super tentative, nice, and was working really hard! I would definitely come back to try more things.
We came here looking to put a dent in seafood boil and for the most part a huge success! It's a nice space and can accommodate probably 100 people. No issues inside, it was nice enough and we were seated quickly without a reservation. Here is the meat and potatoes of this - the review. As far as the seafood boil, amazing, we destroyed a whole Dungeness crab, 2 pounds of crawfish, and a pound of clams in hot sauce like it was nobody's business- so good! As far as the chicken wings...they were ok. The fish and chips...hard no probably the worst I've tasted. I would compare the fish and chips to chucking a microwave dish, or your keys, the cat, laundry, into the oven at 3am after a bender. They will all taste the same I'm guessing, just not good. If you come here - the seafood boil is wonderful along with the garlic noodles simply fantastic. Pass on the rest and you will thoroughly enjoy.

I went to Cap't Loui in the afternoon on 04/02. I read a bunch of reviews about the fish and chips. I thought I'd go try it out. I order the fish and chips basket with lemon pepper fries. I also ordered 1/2 pound of shrimp boil with Cap't Loui sauce medium hot. The fish and chips was delicious! They gave you five strips of fried fish. The batter is not your original fish and chips batter. It's kind of like a panko breadcrumbs batter. The batter is super crispy. I had to ask for the malt vinegar. But it is super yummy! The Cap't Loui sauce medium hot was perfect amount of spice for the shrimp boil. I will definitely be back for more! I'm tempted to go back today. I went back today on 04/03. I arrived sometime after 7:30pm. I got seated and the server took my order. An hour later I'm still waiting for my food. At 8:36pm the server came by to apologize saying the kitchen is backed up. The couple that came in after me and order after me was already eating before 8:30pm. It is now 9:02pm on a Friday night and I'm still waiting on my fish and chips and 1/2 pound of shrimp boil. Another table that came in after me just go their food at 9:02 pm and I'm still waiting for my food. At 9:03pm I got my shrimp boil. I'm still waiting on my fish and chips. I finally got my fish and chips at 9:12. I didn't even get the pail for my shrimp shells and head. The cold corn just tasted like grease. lLet's just say cold food just doesn't taste the same as when it's steaming hot. Even the fish and chips tasted warm when it came out. This time was a real disappointment. I was going to bring my son with me this time. Thank goodness he didn't come. This was a big disappointment. The food and overall service sucked. The server came by multiple times after I got my food to see how everything was. At that point I just wanted to be left alone so I could eat the nasty food because I was so hungry. Came for dinner on a Sunday and it was pretty empty but we still waited about 30 minutes for our food. I wasn't too impressed with the flavor of their seafood boil sauce compared to other seafood boil restaurants I've been too. For the sauce, I got the cap'l loui (hot) and spice level was on the lower side and lacked flavor. But I do love the boiler special options they have which come with free sides. The garlic noodles here are BOMB and a must-have which sets them apart from other seafood boil restaurants. I was impressed with their drink choices. Love that they have a good selection of alcohol to choose from. The adult caprisun was too sweet for my liking but for those that love the fruity drinks, you'll love this. And I love that they a have kids caprisun (mocktail) option so the kids aren't left out from having the cool drink in a bag lol! Also, we came during their grand opening and they were having a lobster special where you can add a whole live lobster for only $19.99! Not sure when this special ends but it was definitely worth it because the lobster was huge. read more

Got greeted as soon as we came in! Lexi was very accommodating and very attentive. My partner and I ordered combo A , it came with 2 lbs and one free side. We got the snow crab , and shrimp and for our side we got the sausage. We did end up adding more potatoes. I just want to say wowww!! The sauce is soo delicious and tasty . I can see why people would get extra just to dip it in. Everything was so delicious, one minor thing was the crab didn't really have the much meat HOWEVER, after letting our waitress know she and the manager offered us a free dessert. That was very nice of them as they did not have to do that. Another thing would be the restrooms have mouth wash which is the first time I've ever seen this. This is such a plus! First let me start by telling you I love the staff at this location. I popped in for lunch/ HH....I probably over stayed my welcome. I had such a great time I ordered lunch and the HH oysters! Don't judge me I'm greedy I ended up eating way too many oysters took most of my lunch home everything tasted great!!! The chef even made me some mignonette sauce* I guess this is something they don't normally make but sounds like they are adding to the menu... it's a must have when eating oysters!! The oysters they serve are delicious and fresh I'm definitely going back next week!!! read more

CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS!! they could be charging for food u didn't order. Special combo A: 2lbs seafood + 1 free side We went on a Tuesday and ordered 3 dozens of oysters. Me and my friends split the check and we told the server to charge us 2dz and 1dz for my friend. Upon checking the receipts, we were shocked that it was a little pricier than expected. The server charged my friends 2dz and another 2dz for us. Okay, we understood that it could be a mistake so we're like okay no worries, just ask for the right one. But when I checked my receipt she also charged me 1lb for the mussels when i originally ordered 1/2. Yes she repeated the order and we agreed because she said it correctly DURING THAT TIME. I would've corrected her if it was wrong. But when we came back inside trying to get an explanation she insisted that we ordered 1lb of mussels. And that we got a free side of sausage, i mean no shit, it comes with the combo A special. We're not stupid enough to order more than 2lbs when we clearly asked if we could get half of whatever seafoods as long as it becomes a total of 2lbs. We asked for her copy when she took the order and she said it was no longer there and that she threw it. She also said they can only refund if they get the food back, we're not expecting a refund nor i give a shit about paying extra $5 for the mussels but just admit to your mistake and don't charge people for food that they didn't exactly order. Also dont make us feel stupid when we exactly knew what we wanted and what we really ordered. It just sucks that this is our fav spot and we bring our friends bragging that cap't loui is the best in town and we get to experience this read more

Every time we travel to LV we hit up Hot n' Juicy for my crab boil fix. This visit, I wanted to try Crab n' Spice (AYCE $38/pp w/o crab), but read bad reviews that led me here. It did not disappoint!! 5 lbs combo + included sides for my group was the exact amount of food we needed to feel "AYCE" stuffed and ended up being less expensive. I would also say the signature sauce is not stingy on the sauciness and may even be better than Hot n' Juicy! Our new go-to! read more

12/10 would recommend! If you're craving a seafood boil, look no further and just come here! From the minute you walk in, to the time you're ordering dessert, the team here is so welcoming. The food is amazing. We got a fisherman's platter to start, which included soft shell crab, fish, shrimp, calamari and fries. Opted for the lemon pepper fries and would highly recommend that option! We ordered the king crab and lobster along with the Cap't Loui sauce and the garlic noodles as a side. All that to say, we'll be back! read more

Cap't Loui is one of my favorite seafood boil places in town. Whenever I get the craving, I would make my way up to their Summerlin location. When I heard that they opened up a location by Southpoint, I wanted to check them out! So when my friend was visiting this past weekend, we decided to go for dinner. We got to the establishment around 6PM on a Friday night and were seated right away. They had plenty of seating! My friend and I decided to get a whole Dungeness crab, a pound of king crab legs, and a pound of clams. We got it with their Cap't Loui sauce at medium spice. Since we got three pounds of seafood, we qualify for their boiler specials and got two garlic noodle sides for free. Whenever we ordered a whole Dungeness crab at the Summerlin location, they would serve the other items first and then serve the crab when it's ready. The reason being is that the whole crab generally takes longer to prepare (20 mins or so). However, at the Henderson location, it all came out at the same time so there was a bit of a waits since they didn't separate it. The sauce was the perfect blend of garlic, savory, and spicy. The king crab legs were delicious! The legs were thick and big with plenty of meat. Dungeness crab is my absolute favorite and it was also super delicious! It does take more time as you have to a lot to crack but totally worth it. Their clams were nice and plump! I LOVE their garlic noodles. It has a huge amount of garlic flavor! The noodles were cooked perfectly and they taste amazing if you pour a bit of your seafood sauce on it! At the end of our meal, we decided to get their funnel cake fries with ice cream. These were a great sweet treat! The ice cream was a bit too hard though -- kinda wished they let it sit first. But I would still recommend this dessert! It's got that hot and cold element to it! Overall, definitely recommend! If you like Hot n Juicy, then definitely give Capt Loui a go. I think the sauce is comparable and there is no wait at Capt Loui which is the biggest bonus! read more

Yes, we'll go back to try some more items. Tried a calamari basket, fish n chips basket, and the soft shell crab po-boy was very good. You can see the little crab leg sticking out of the sandwich. Very crunchy and the mildly spicy mayo is a good sauce. The food was fine, oil fresh, not over fried, and next time I'll try a boil. The fries could use some more seasoning as I couldn't tell much difference between the two flavors. I was able to do -no fries for the po-boy and get another side which was a good compromise after ordering 3 items that come with fries. They were playing music with quite a variety of old school rap Warren G to Katy Perry pop. The decor is sort of a ship rigging with a few warning lights around which look like candles sort of. Clean tables and 2 bathrooms. Both waitresses were very attentive to every guest, about 8 tables worth when we stopped by around lunch for the 11:30 discount apparently. Glasses never empty, checked on us multiple times and made sure our orders were what we wanted. some of the market prices seemed a little high - $100 for king crab / lb but as I look, I can't even find any for sale except online for $78/lb or more so that's not terrible I suppose. read more

First time here and while the food was good, the service was super slow. The server was friendly though. We ordered the 1 dozen oysters, fish po boy with cajun fries and a side of sausage and the 1lb snow crab, two waters and coke. The oysters came out first and were really good. The sandwich and boil bag came out awhile later. The side of sausage did not come out with the sandwich and didn't get delivered until the sandwich was nearly finished. The boil bag was hot and tasty. The corn on the cob was terrible. Mushy and very chewy. Server forgot the coke. Later it was mentioned and she offered to get it and wouldn't charge me, but I declined. Not a great first impression. Wasn't super busy so not sure why the service was so slow. read more

We came in on a Thursday evening. Ordered the adult capri finding Nemo - which was fabulous on a hot Vegas summer. Shared the 3 lb boil and I everything about it was great. Cravings satisfied and a very convenient location for me. Very open nautical theme and has TVs for sports. No wait and server "Pablo" was so so friendly. We had the 3 pound combo with shrimp, mussels, and crawfish. We had it in mild lemon pepper and it was sooo good. Mussels were def my favorite. They were also so kind to put a side of the Capt loui sauce and we may order that next time. Our sides were garlic noodles and fries. I tried a little of the coleslaw which was a nice! We also had the fish and chips with a sweet potato substitute. We even enjoyed dipping the fish in some of our sauces. We had a group of 4 so 3 lbs was a good portion for us. The combo comes with one corn and one potato in the bag so if you are competitive with those order more. I really enjoyed everything! The only suggestion I would say because I cannot confirm anything but if desserts and fries are deep fried in the same oil I can taste the batter a little bit in the fries. Horrible oyster Tuesday ! They give u old oysters with parasites for a dollar special I ate 3!!! They are old and brown and the business is very dark turn your flash light on while eating unless u may never know unless u are a oyster girl like me and get and inquiring taste in mouth stomach already feeling upside do. She offered me a shot to get the taste out my mouth I respectfully declined then she had the audacity to bring out a form talking about when she ordered these oysters like that makes it any difference. How do I know that these are even the same ones why are you even saying that to a person who's going through eating live parasites in their face nobody wants to hear that worst apology ever I don't even think I got apology.
