Tried the blueberry ube matcha latte. I couldn't even taste the blueberry or ube. It just tasted like a regular matcha latte. The store had seating. The service was decently fast.

Dropped by since I'd never tried a Capital One cafe and there are several locations in the city. Overall not bad, good for those looking for a cafe to plop down and get work done. This location is pretty spacious (it used to be a Victoria's Secret store) with a long coffee bar, ample seating spread out in several lounge sections, as well several conference rooms that can be booked for private use in advance online or in person via QR code. At around 1:45pm on a Sunday it was pretty busy though not impossible to find a seat. The staff at the bar looked very busy, while the line for ordering wasn't long, a steady stream of people came and the wait for drinks was about 10-12 minutes. Additional staff members stood at entrances/exits welcoming customers. Coffee served here is from Verve roasters, and I think probably should've tried a coffee drink, though I was in the mood for matcha so tried their cherry vanilla matcha with oatmilk $7.50 (+ $1.00 for alt milk) instead. The matcha flavor was on the lighter side though to their credit you could taste both cherry and vanilla notes subtly. They weren't overpowered by the matcha. Fair cup sizes--16oz for a L, 12oz for a S (same as Starbucks tall and grande). Would drop by again if looking for a place to get work done on a laptop. Capital One banking and credit card customers get 50% off any handcrafted drinks, when I read the fine print at the bottom of a sign, it looked like a limit of one drink per customer, though it wasn't widely published elsewhere in the store. Discount not applicable on food and other drinks.

THE BIG: Pretty big Capital One Cafe in Midtown West. Lots of seating for those looking to sip their drinks or do work. Lines for drinks does get long during peak times (breakfast and lunch rushes). THE BLACK AND WHITE: I was needing a coffee after a big lunch and the Capital One Cafe was fortunately in sight. The interior is nice and modern with tons of natural light coming in from outside. It is more narrow than deep in terms of space. Only ordered a coffee here but I assume there is free wifi and there are associates available to help you with anything related to Capital One. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall, a coffee here is around $4 and you can save about 20% if you use a Capital One branded card. Would be back to either work out of or get another handcrafted drink.

Gave Capital One Cafe a second chance by visiting their Herald Square location, which redeemed my mid experience in Union Square. Quick and courteous assistance at the register... ordered one of their Spring specialty drinks: iced chocolate covered cherry mocha, sweet as expected, but not too sweet. Busy midday rush... the baristas were focused pouring and creating drinks. Large space, lots of seating, but all seats and tables were occupied when I was there so I took my drink to go. Willing to move past my USQ experience ... employees make a difference.

Capital One Cafe Herald Square is a great location to complete multiple tasks, while also completing banking or credit card transactions. Happened to be passing through Herald Square realized I needed to pay my credit card bill. Thankfully the Capital one cafe is street level above the MTA B,D,F train. Which was perfect my visit which was just after the last blizzard. Capital One Cafe is a massive, modern space that is perfect for anyone needing a productive place to work or a high quality coffee break. Unlike typical cramped NYC coffee shops, this location is incredibly spacious with plenty of seating options--from cozy booths to long community tables with easy access to power outlets. The beverage quality is vast, featuring Verve Coffee Roasters. The Honey Lavender Latte was great; it's perfectly balanced and not too sweet. If you're a Capital One or Discover cardholder, the 50% discount on handcrafted drinks is an unbeatable deal in Manhattan. The staff are consistently friendly and efficient, even when it gets busy during the afternoon rush. It's clean, bright, and has a great 'chill' vibe that makes it a reliable go-to right across from Macy's. The amenities are free, reliable, WiFi, well maintained rest rooms. The atmosphere is modern, upscale, co working space, definitely a better vibe than a typical retail bank. The only downside, it's open to the general public and tends to get crowded quickly. If it was exclusively for Capital One card holders it would probably not be as crowded.

Spacious alleys. Lovely customer service with outlets to charge your phone and tablet. Has private rooms you can book. The cafe is connected directly to the bank inside. You can reserve a nook for free and 50% their handcrafted drinks which are pretty cool privileges by capital one. Multiple on-site ATM's. See images for reference.

Needed coffee and being a capital one cardholder gives you that perk of 50% off. The quality of the drinks here are pretty good comparable/better than many places over charging. Ordered from their special menu for a matcha and mocha based flavors. The line was pretty long since lunchtime but it moved quickly. The interior is large and a lot of space to stand or sit to enjoy your drinks (or food items), pretty quiet too which allows for conversations.

While my family visited Macy's, I popped over to the Café as I usually do. Mid-morning and not a long line and nice to get my Latte at a reduced price. This visit I had a question for the Bank and they sent over an employee quickly to address. Just wish they had more than 1 restroom for visitors.

Corporate name aside, this cafe is excellent! Seasonal drinks, spacious, with a pleasant hum inside, and perky greeters and front of house staff. My cinnamon maple latte was sweet, creamy, and rich; thankfully not bitter. There was an alternative milk upcharge, like most places. The staff simply asked if I had a Capital One card to apply the 50% cardholder discount. I don't know if I had to actually use the card at that point. The bathroom situation is less than ideal - on a Wednesday late morning there was persistently a line for the single stall. Most of the tables were full too, so I took one of the standing tables by the bank tellers.

Such nice staff and some of their seasonal drinks are bangers. I usually get the lavender matcha. For this fall, I got the Cinnamon Maple Latte with Seasonal Cold Foam. On the sweet side of things but still really good. Maple Flash Cold Bread wasn't very good though. Somewhat too bitter.

Nicely designed interior otherwise but only having 1 bathroom for a coffee size of this size is ridiculous. Line was 6 person deep on a weekday. When I reached the front of the line after 15 minutes or so, 5 people were behind me. So, there's a constant wait.

    Lots of seating all around.

If you find yourself near Hearld Square in NYC and you're a Capital One/Discover card holder, be sure to stop by! This is a much bigger cafe than what I'm use to in DC. The staff here are friendly and the drinks are delicious. Definitely one of the busier locations around NYC.

I am so impressed by how this location's staff who works as fast and efficiently as they can! With the amount of orders they get on Mondays, it is so impressive how they can hold excellent customer service each time! For those that were complaining about the wait in line today: what did you expect for a free event? It happens every Monday and they are always swamped solely because they are racking a number of orders so quickly! Have some patience and some grace for these baristas, or just don't come at all if you do not have the time. Thank you so much, Capital One Cafe staff! You are all amazing!!! Also highly recommend their Honey Lavender latte :D

And I commonly see the upstairs for private events like baby showers, bridal showers, or birthday parties on social media. After dinner with my friends, I was looking for dessert and I was glad to see this location closes relatively late on a weekday night at 11 pm. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety! FYI - there are two unisex restrooms in the rear for customers to use with really cute wallpapers too.

We ordered potted rose milk tea to share, Dubai affogato and Brown Sugar Boba Mille Crêpes Cake. We came on a Friday around 4pm. Originally I wanted to try the strawberry matchamisu, however, was told that it sold out. What a bummer. The rose milk tea came with a themed pot and cups which is really cute. The rose fragrant smelled so good and the milk tea also tasted good and has a hint of rose taste. The cake was good, the boba was well cooked, chewy and flavorful! This time there was an unpleasant experience. At first when the Dubai affogato was served, we did not realize that the amount of the coffee was little until we saw another customer's dish that the volume of their coffee looked significantly more than ours. My friend brought it to the waitress attention but the waitress brushed it off and did not acknowledge our concern. When we finished and were about to leave, the same waitress came over and showed us that the container of the coffee was different and hence the volume of the coffee looked different. At this point, we did not care for it anymore. We would have been fine if the staff acknowledged our concern. We thought that maybe using standardized containers for the coffee would avoid this problem. Other than that, the food and drinks were good.

Made with rice flour and egg whites, it is so airy, and literally feels like cutting through a cloud. Plus, it's gluten-free! A perfect little cake for a small celebration They also make the prettiest korean dessert sets, alongside bingsu, dubai chewy cookies, and einspanner. They're seriously always keeping up with the trends! *Black Sesame Ssal Cake $16.5 ** My top pick. The black sesame layer on top was the richest. Super nutty without being too heavy. The sponge and cream cheese had a subtle black sesame flavor. It reminded me of the cream in their black sesame einspanner. *Mugwort Ssal Cake $16.5 * This one was surprisingly rich. The mugwort had a strong earthy, herby flavor, while the plain cream cheese layer helped cut through the richness. *Mango Ssal Cake $16.5 This was a bit of a miss to me as there wasn't any mango-flavored sponge or mango puree inside. It was just a plain rice flour cake with a few slices of fresh mango on top. Though I could really taste the mild, clean rice flavor in this one. *Da-On Sang Set $26 ** A must-order if it's your first time here! The mochi was super soft, and the strawberry was so ripe and sweet. The yak-gwa and joo-ak were chewy, sticky, and just sweet enough, especially paired with the tea that came with the set. *Black Sesame Einspanner $8.5 *Mugwort Einspanner $8.5 The cream was lighter compared to other einspanners I've had. The mugwort one was bursting with earthy flavor. Definitely try it if you're a mugwort fan. The black sesame was alright. I personally wish it was a little richer.
