I've been here a few times and everything I've ordered has been dynamite! I love finding a good breakfast spot and this place has a ton of tables and seating so I don't have to wait around for hours, which is always nice in the morning! They also have a full bar and some of the best bloody Mary's I've ever had. First time here. Greeted with super friendly staff. We were seated right away with choice of inside or outside. We chose inside as it was to hot out. Food was delicious! Had breakfast burrito an omelette & Bloody Mary. The Bloody Mary had great taste although I think they forgot the alcohol cuz it pretty much tasted like gourmet tomato juice for $14! Next time I'll stick with plain ol orange juice LOL. All in all, place is great and highly recommended. read more

Good breakfast but $27.00 for an omelette and coffee. The service was very good and friendly. The food was very good, nothing spectacular. I used to come here 20 years ago when I lived in HB amd the prices were more in line with other type restaurants. I live in Sunset Beach and can get an excellent breakfast for $5-8 less. Usually always eat here when I come to California however today was a great morning until i ate here today. Started off great with 1 waitress and then others kept coming by every 2 minutes (different one each time) asking if we were ready to order or needed another moment. Like really? How many times do I need to say it? Obviously I'm still looking and flipping pages so nope not ready. Being bugged almost made me just get up and leave. Next food was brought out and 10 minutes later someone other girl comes over and asked if we needed a box or still eating. Ummm I'm still eating because you can see that I'm still putting food into my mouth. Very rushed now. So to the point where I didn't get to finish my food and just got a box so I can get out of there because obviously they want to turn tables as quick as they can. Needless to say tip is GONE! Food was okay. Expensive. Waitress slash manager had a slight attitude. I expect nothing less, a bunch of Hispanics, and gays walking in to a "Orange County" restaurant. Charged me wrong for kids drinks and then tried to make me feel like a cheap ass for complaining about $3! I'll complain about $1 i don't care, charge the correct price! I always eat at Cappy's when I get the chance to...weekends are always crazy busy, but the wait is never too long and the service is always speedy...I love all the omelette choices...I like the new seafood touches they have on the menu. We had Lindsey as a server she was very friendly and came back to check on us several times. They will do their best to make sure your happy with your food. My coffee cup is never empty there! We were very disappointed with this establishment. The service was hurried and mediocre. We ordered two simple egg dishes, which were not cooked to order. The prices are outrageous! They were very busy and blamed everything on Spring Break! We could not recommend this eatery to anyone. read more

HORRIBLE!!!! Food was below human consumption (see photo). I ordered porterhouse steak medium rare and three eggs over easy with hash browns. The steak was too tough to cut and full of grizzle and fat. Do yourself a favor and go to IHOP or Denny's. read more

Updating my old 5 star review... this place is awesome! They added 25 tables in the back Parking lot all 6 ft apart. I watched them clean the tables thoroughly. First time here. I ordered the Beach Burrito which comes with avocado and tomato and a side but the waitress must have heard Breakfast Burrito which comes with bacon/meat inside and no side. Since I ordered the beach burrito I asked for fruit (berries) as my side and she rang it in. I was eating my food and realized that there weren't any tomatoes or avocados, and discussed with my table and friends, re-looked at the menu online to be sure, and decided that the next time the waitress comes, I should speak up. When she came I asked if she had ordered me the beach burrito or breakfast burrito and she said breakfast, which I did not order. I said the breakfast doesn't come with a side of fruit while the beach does, and I told her I'd never order $8 fruit unless it was included. Another waitress came and they said they said they can't refund me the $8 BERRIES I GOT AS A SIDE (which I thought was included) because the food was partially eaten. Her mistake for not hearing me (and nature of the dish, they both start with the letter B), and they couldn't refund me because they told me I ate the food.... :/ she was a bit mean about it too. Also my friend was out of water for 20 minutes and no one came by even though we rung both sides of the little machine at the table. I'll give the 1 star to the nice tall man that led us to our reserved table outside. read more

While the staff was freindly, the girls were MIA. The price of the items was very high compared to the value of the food. One plate's food had to be sent back because it was cold. Coffee cup never refilled. Too many other establishments around for us to try the place again. read more

Was seated within 30 seconds had a waiter up my butt wanting my drink order I barely had time to breath and just got water as I did not have time to consider my options. We were then pressured to order food at 10 minutes ordered my food and from there it took 1 hour to get our food. WAYTO LONG FAIL!!!!!!! Food once received breakfast quesadilla was way to small for 15 dollars I had to buy a waffle to fill up my belly that took 45 minutes to cook a waffle. WAY TO LONG FAIL!!! Cappy's Café is one of my go-to breakfast places when I feel like going for a drive along the beach. The atmosphere is amazing here and the servers are always happy to serve and the customers are always happy to be there. Whether it's for breakfast or for lunch, Cappy's is sure to satisfy your cravings with their amazing omelettes, steak, eggs, sandwiches, french toast, burritos, etc. I'm allergic to eggs unfortunately, so it's hard for me to find a breakfast place that caters to my allergies, However, Cappy's let's me substitute my eggs with avocados, so I can be able to have my favorite breakfast burrito without any issues! I must say thought that parking gets really crazy in the morning on weekends especially. If you can't find parking in the parking lot, they have meter parking down the street that isn't too far from the restaurant. They also have parking behind the restaurant that is actually near the park (The park is pretty cool, you get nice view of the water and there's usually a lot of parking space). Be sure to go in with a hungry tummy, because Cappy's will for sure satisfy your cravings. read more
