Chicago deep dish w/ sausage and olives - sauce on one side, but still good
    Shane B.

If you haven't had a Chicago Deep Dish pizza before, you are not a true pizza fan! Stuffed pizza with all of your favorite sides, inside out with the cheese in the middle and sauce on top. The best ones you eat with a fork and knife, and the crust is thick and flaky enough to pick up like a breadstick on its own! The only lack would be the presentation but it makes up in quality and portion. Cappy's does well, being outside of Chicago. Fresh ingredients, perfect size and worth a try!

For Friday afternoon, we were feeling and instead of a full food we were looking for a place to have quick food. So, I searched near me and saw Cappy's Pizza which was near our place. So, I checked out the menu of Cappy's Pizza. From the menu I decided to order Vegetarian Pizza with mushrooms through a call. The pizza was ready in 15 minutes and I went to Cappy's Pizza to pick-up my order. When I entered the restaurant, I was surprised to see amazing ambiance of the restaurant and it was beautifully decorated giving the look for a place to have pizza and beer. I also saw that they offer different drinks along with different beers. From beer I selected Funky Buddha Florida Wheat Beer. I picked-up my order along with the beer. The veggie pizza was hot and delicious and the crust was also amazing. Pizza with beer made my Friday evening.

Chicago deep dish pizza- with spinach, mushrooms and meatballs. Highly recommend

Best place for deep dish pizza in the Tampa Bay Area. The sauce is wonderful, the crust is great, loaded with cheese and toppings. I'm a huge deep dish fan and this is the place to get it.

SLOPPY MESS OF A PIZZA!!! Worst deep dish pizza I have ever picked up!! When we opened the box the sauce was so watery that it sloshed to one side of the pizza and we brought it back on a even car seat and a table before we opened it up so it came out of the restaurant like that! The watery sauce soaked the breading so it was literally folding over instead of being hard and crunchy like a deep dish should be!! We had to use the fork in the picture to make the sauce even all over. It was absolutely horrible and it tasted poorly made like they tried to make the sauce as quickly and cheaply as possible. Do yourself a favor and don't come here ever again!!! I have NEVER had such horrible pizza! UPDATE: Called management to get a refund and hopefully come to an understanding because they took our money and gave us a horrible product that we had to throw away due to how inedible it is. Not only were they extremely defensive and rude, they also blocked my original number so that I couldn't contact them. They refused to give me a refund stating that I "blasted them" on social media and that they know their pizza and this was never an issue before. The many 1 star reviews would prove otherwise. So not only do they have horrendus pizza, their management is completely unqualified to be in their position. I have never had such HORRIBLE customer service as well as horrible deep dish pizza. If you want them to steal your money and disregard your complaints while serving you pizza that they threw together as quickly as possible this is the place for you.

I came in knowing the pizza is everything-now I know the Greek salad is, too!

I was headed south from Wesley Chapel. I could've been at my home Cappy's in 20 minutes. But then I remembered from Yelp-there was another Cappy's on the way. I could be there in seven. My stomach did the math-and I rolled into the New Tampa location. Happy at Cappy's! Tucked into a popular plaza off Bruce B Downs Blvd in the Tampa Palms area, there's tons of parking and a small dining area out front, under the Cappy's oval sign, that calls me home again and again. At first glance, this location is quaintly small. But behind the three rows of tall wooden booths, are two large, tile-topped tables and a small bar counter... and the takeout counter is behind all of that. You don't feel cramped at all-just cozy, comfy and charmed-by all the retro memorabilia on the walls. But you didn't come here to read about the legroom and decor. Let's talk food. Cappy's has two styles of pizza: New York (thin crust) and Chicago (deep dish). I'm a thin crust girl-and always order the NY pepperoni with light sauce. This if the fourth Cappy's I've been to and they always get the sauce ratio spot-on. The pizza is consistently delicious. I've had the cheese bread before and it's total yum, too. But this night, I tried the Greek salad. Ohhhh, there you are Nirvana! It is divine! I ordered the small-which would easily feed three. I took one bite and then almost stuck my head in the bowl. The Greek dressing is tangy and sweet at the same time... light... it dresses up the salad, not drowns it. I don't even like dressing-but I love this! I will never neglect to order their Greek salad again! In a town/area that boasts a lot of really good Greek salads-this is top 10 stuff. So is Savannah, my server. She's full on sunshine and so efficient, friendly and attentive. All this... and there's beer and wine, too. I'll see you there!

We ordered 2 pies -- one meatball and one cheese. Cappy's never disappoints! It was actually my son's second dinner there of the night if that says anything. We always get the New York style. The sauce is tasty covered in just the right amount of cheese.

Deep dish with ham and pep!

I most recently took my sister here for the first time while we were visiting for a concert and she loved it, too! We started with iced baklava lattes and the greek donuts (loukoumades) drizzled with honey and this was actually my first time have these here. They're served hot and fresh -- absolutely delicious! When I want something light for breakfast, my go-to is the Everything but the Bagel yogurt bowl (house cured wild caught salmon, cucumber, pickled red onion, tomato, crispy capers, & everything seasoning). It's such a fresh gorgeous bowl, packed with protein. I also love their extra thick cut bacon on the side. My sis got the strapatsada which is a breakfast classic on their menu (greek scramble with caramelized onion, roasted cherry tomato, creamy feta, & grilled baguette). It's a very generous portion and she had a good amount leftover to take home. Of course, you can't leave without a few pastries for the road! They are a bakery-first concept and all of their breads and baked goods are made in-house. We got the baklava coffee cake and brioche bread pudding muffin to-go. Psomi never disappoints!

I ordered the shredded chicken salad, and to be fair, the chicken was absolutely delicious. My issue was that it was served over a basic mixed greens salad with very few extras, and paying around $30 for it felt excessive. The loukoumades (Greek donuts) were also delicious, but again, the portion was surprisingly small for about $16. One thing that also frustrates me is that they seem to be out of many of their bakery items first thing in the morning. They do warn customers about this, but it seems to happen consistently, which is disappointing when you're visiting a bakery and hoping for the full selection. The outdoor seating also wasn't the most enjoyable. It was quite loud, the seating wasn't especially comfortable, and there were a lot of flies, which made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. Overall, the food tasted good, but the value just isn't there for me. I don't mind paying premium prices when the portions, experience, or atmosphere justify it, but I left feeling like I paid far more than what I received.

My father was from Greece so any chance I get to travel and try Greek food I make it a priority to. I was warmly greeted and sat right away. I ordered the gyro platter and the food came out in a timely manner. The meat was seasoned just like in Greece and the salad and fries were delicious. Only thing I would suggest is add more of the delicious tzatziki onto the gyro platter as I ate my food savoring every bite alone I took in the restaurant and watched what was going on in the world outside. Suddenly I was greeted by an employee who worked there who later told me his name Miguel. We chatted about Greece and life and how we both have been living some place new for a year. He made sure to ask about the food and service and was a perfect addition to my experience there. In Greece food is the center of family life and connection. We cook to bring people together. Miguel and his taking time to talk to me about life and making sure the food was great elevated the level of this restaurant. I felt more like a friend visiting than someone eating alone at a new restaurant for the first time. That is the beauty about a great restaurant and a great team they make you feel right at home! Can't wait to be back the next time in town and as we say in Greek YIASSO!!

I was also shocked I had never heard of it. I went yesterday for the first time to have it in person and was blown away at the quality of food in terms of how fresh EVERYTHING was and how efficient the service was. The staff was so so wonderful. Cassie, Clayton, & Joy were all such a pleasure to meet and speak to. I'll be happy to go support them in their new location opening in Largo. Getting into the food - here's what we ordered and thoughts on each: - Trio of Spreads: Pesto Hummus, Roasted Garlic Feta, Tzatziki w/ grilled & fried pita chips. Each dip was INSANE and you could tell by the taste they were not only homemade but made to order. My favorite was the whipped feta but i could genuinely eat each of them everyday. They asked if we wanted the pita grilled or fried and when I asked which was better they gave us both! And I'm so glad they did because I really enjoyed both and had never had fried pita before (delicious of course). I will be getting this every time. I do remember the dips going crazy when we had gotten it catered and they hit just as hard this time around. - Chopped Greek Salad w/ potato salad. I had this infamous dish when we had it catered and I was literally addicted to the potato salad. I remember I had a plate of everything else then went back for a full plate of the potato salad. I definitely recommend getting this salad chopped over the traditional way as it is much easier to eat. So unique they add the pasta salad to it!! - Chicken Souvlaki Pita. I always get gyro pitas so was trying to switch it up here and I was so glad to finally try Chicken Souvlaki (I've had Greek sooo many times but never tried it) and it was SO yum. Definitely a good change of pace for me. - Gyro Pita Platter. Still needed to try out their gyro so got the platter which is basically a deconstructed pita. I love that you're able to add as much or little of each of the ingredients - it reminds me of taco nights! The gyro was fire of course. - Greek Feta Fries. These were seasoned to PERFECTION. I was stuffed but couldn't stop eating them. You gotta order these at every Greek place and constantly compare. These were a wedge vibe and the perfect amount of potato in my opinion (I'm Irish so I prefer a thick steak fry to a skinny mcdonald's fry). The flavor went crazy.
