Family family special with Dungeness crab shrimp sausage corn and potato's
    Cesar C.

This seafood boil from here is amazing. This is the best value in town. I went with the family special deal. It was enough to feed 3 of us. The food is very flavorful and they are very gracious with their sides. The seasoning is not overpowering like at other places. The service is top tier and the staff is very friendly.

This place was seriously impressive--honestly better than Boiling Crab and more affordable too. The seasoning was on point and everything tasted fresh and high quality. The only downside is that sides like potatoes and corn cost extra beyond the single portion included, and the potato itself was a bit small. That said, it was still absolutely worth it. The hush puppies were a standout, and the ranch? So good. I also tried the onion rings, which didn't disappoint. Next time, I'm definitely going for the clam chowder and fried pickles. Service was excellent--we were seated right away with no wait, which is always a plus. The decor added to the experience too, with crab nets hanging from the ceiling giving it a fun, coastal vibe. I'll definitely be coming back every time I'm in Sacramento.

    Two low country boils

Captain Crab on Elk Grove-Florin, celebrated their 4th Year Anniversary by offering their famous low-country boil for $24.99. I grabbed a couple to-go, one flavored with the captain's choice and the other with the Cajun garlic butter. Both were very good, but the captain's choice had more flavor because it was a combination of all the sauces. Each boil had a snow crab claw ( with four legs), approximately 10 shrimps, plenty of sausage, a potato, and a hard boiled egg. The flavors were rich in garlic and Cajun flavor, and the egg and potato was perfect in balancing spiciness of the sausage and sauce. Though purchasing to-go is a great option, I would prefer to dine in, in their large dining room, set up nicely for parties of all sizes.

I opted the bag and there was nothing in the bag for 73.00 dollars

The food was not what I ordered through DoorDash , the crab cluster was one and in half with only two legs in it , I ordered 2 ginger ale's , I called the store that night no answer and then I called the the next day and the manager did not want to here anything I said , she was very rude and condescending, like I spent 73.00 dollars on that meal and she did not want to accomadateke afater I was over charged and kept saying contact door dash after she is supposedly the owner I will never place and order here ever again in my life I hope they get shut down for stealing ppls money talking about door dash charges them 30 percent and I soent73.00 dollars they are stealing from the customer and over charging for no food at all

Big spot with plenty of space, and the staff was on top of it. We came early for dinner and got seated right away. Got half a pound of headless shrimp and crawfish, plus added the corn, potato, and egg trio, and threw in some sausage too. Shrimp was kinda small and not the freshest, and my boyfriend said the crawfish shells were tougher to peel than usual. That said, the Captain Mix (mild) flavor was solid, but you gotta dig to the bottom of the bag to get all the seasoning. Otherwise, it's just butter floating on top. We also tried the fried oyster + calamari combo with cajun fries. Everything came out crispy and hot, but the flavor was missing. Even the fries were bland. Ended up dipping everything in the seafood sauce for more flavor. Honestly, I prefer one of their competitors more, but I'm still glad we gave this place a shot.

This is our go to family seafood place. We can all share a boil that's affordable with none of that fancy pretense, just eat and enjoy. It's cooked perfectly and full of flavor with something for everyone. The kids even love it.

This restaurant has been on my bucket list of seafood boil to try and finally made it out here. Took our seafood lover friends here to celebrate his birthday. The restaurant is pretty clean and spacious, lots of open seatings. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeting my a hostess and seated right away. We were greeted my our waiter who was friendly and attentive to our needs. Menu was a wide variety of seafood boil options, appetizers and drinks. We ordered the calamari and 12 piece raw oysters. Calamari had right amount of crunch to it and enough flavors. Can't ever go wrong with oysters! We had the family special deal which we pick the 1 lb dungeness crab legs, shrimp head on and green mussels with medium spice option. Our friends had the captain feast boil, which includes 2 lobster tails, 1/2 lb snow crab, 1/2 lb dungeness crab, 1/2 lb headless shrimp, 1/2 lb sausages, 2 eggs, 2 corn, and 2 potatoes woth spicey flavor option. The sauce was a blend of cajun spices that is rich and buttery garlic blends, with a citrus taste. I enjoyed the sauce. My friend told me the spice level was not spicy for the most spicy option but wasn't surprised. Overall, the experience was great. Friendly staff and quick service. Will definitely come back here to try other other options.

Food was really good. Hit the spot today. Got volcano spice level. Not spicy at all. 1lb of crawfish and 1lb clams. Flavor was really good. Service was good as well. The reason for 3 stars only was because I was served bad raw oyster. But I did let the waiter know and he took it back. But also the corn was bad as well. So I dont know if they location save old food or not. But I almost got sick. All n all we like the seafood boil flavor and we'll be back.

Dropped by for the first time. We had dinner on a Saturday evening and this place is awesome! Big clean environment. Fast friendly customer service, and fair pricing. We order 2 lbs of shrimp, fried shrimp and a chicken tender basket. One shrimp bag was lemon pepper and the other was Cajun, both cooked perfectly, no mushiness like other locations. The lemon pepper was great, but the Cajun was different from others. It had a different type of taste, I can't pin point the exact spice. Next time I'll just do lemon pepper. The Cajun fries also tasted different. Overall not a fan of this Cajun spice, but everything else was great. I'll be back.

The service was great. The food came fast and large quantities. Very good seasons- we got the family size order- $65 you can order crab,or lobster and snow crab. Please note only one whole small crab or lobster or snow crab comes in the package. It was our granddaughter 12th birthday! The bathroom weren't clean, water on the floor like a leak. Overall the place was good. Also on the bill, they already had applied of 15%- not cool I was prepared to tip in cash. So out of out separate three order they received 45% tip total.

The hook and reel special blend was honestly pretty gross it was sweet, Smokey and not very buttery or salty at all. We asked for lemon pepper and extra butter to put inside(which was an extra charge) it made it a little better but I've definitely had better elsewhere. The garlic noodles were really good they had a soy sauce flavor, garlicky and cheesy. The price was pretty expensive considering I've spent $30 less elsewhere. Here at hook & reel I spent $96 The service was good. She was very kind and helpful but also wasn't very attentive. The restaurant and the bathrooms were very clean. Overall I wouldn't come back and I recommend going to Captain crab in Elk Grove it is so much better tasting and cheaper!!

For drinks, Skylie had a Thai tea, while Sokny tried a Black Superman and a lemon drop. The lemon drop was unfortunately more lemonade than vodka, but hey... we still had a good laugh about it! Overall, the food was fantastic, but what made the night special was simply being together as a family. 10 years of marriage, lots of memories, and many more to come. Thank you to my beautiful wife for sharing this journey with me. I love you, Sokny!

Date night this week took us to Captain Crab , and this was our first time here! Let me just say…read more.. it did NOT disappoint! To start, the service was great. Right when you walk in, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy Saturday evening, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was also so friendly, and our food came out FAST and piping hot! In our past experiences at other crab boil restaurants, it can take forever just to get a table, let alone get your food. So we really appreciated how quickly everything came out here! Now, THE FOOD! My hubby and I both got the Dungeness crab with the mild Cajun & garlic butter seasoning. It came with potatoes and corn, and we also added a side of rice and the Cajun fries. The seasoning was SO good! It had plenty of flavor without being overly salty. The crab was delicious and cooked perfectly. And those Cajun fries?! They were super crispy and seasoned to perfection! The only thing I would have changed was that we weren't given any crab crackers or tools to help us get into the crab. We actually thought they didn't have any at first. We later asked and were provided with some, but it would have been nice if they were offered or brought out with our gloves and bibs since we ordered crab. Other than that, I really enjoyed our experience! I especially loved that the restaurant has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to some other crab boil spots. The seats were comfortable, the music wasn't extremely loud, and it still had a fun vibe while being quiet enough for us to actually have a conversation. Overall, I'm giving Captain Crab a 10/10! We'll definitely be back!
