Perusing the menu, I chose a Hazy IPA and decided I wanted to try their peach cream salad. My fiancé chose to have their lunch special which entails a beer, a burger, and their fries. The beers were great! Hazy as it should be with hints of fruit. Yet, their salad was not good. Do not get their salad. Their salad was very salty, the peaches weren't sweet nor was the cream. It was salty overall as if the kitchen accidentally doused it with too much pistachios and couldn't clean it up, I'd say skip it. My fiancé's burger was way better. Service is okay. I love this little spot!…read more Once I discovered it, Little Beast quickly became one of my go-to's when visiting the East Side of Portland. I've been here 25-30 times, often for a beer with a friend and either a little lunch or dinner. Its craftsman-like coziness and warm lighting beckon you up the front porch and right up to the bar, where you can order beer and Pretty Boy Pizza to stay, or easily grab some cans to go. Service is quick and very friendly. Little Beast offers a broad variety of their own brews, everything from Stouts, Porters, Lagers a Tripel, even some sours. The selections rotate frequently but they keep a good balance of retaining their mainstays. This weekend, I invited a large group of friends out for some beer and pizzas. Little Beast handled our group well thanks to the individual ordering via QR codes on our tables. Little Beast has many seats outside which they keep covered in the rainy season. Not crowded, with attentive but chill service. We had a delicious burger (hubby) with a fabulous acid-forward set of toppings; a delicious lentil-and-every-German-meat soup (me, because I am an Official Soup Nerd); a delicious pretzel with dips (us). Chocolate pot de creme for dessert--so rich. It was Strong Bier month, which was really fun. Can't wait to go back.
