Horrible experience at Seaside location purchased a brand new 2020 Acadia Denali morning noticed paint on drivers side door and front fender did not match the rest of the car paint took it in and spoke to Jorge sales person he was of no help all he did was argue and not provide a solution. Never did i receive a phone call from any one in that office to offer a solution like i was told by Jorge twice that i would receive a phone call on two different occasions. Went in more than once with no response of why car had different color paint and poor job as well, spoke to some "manager" Martin and he was very rude and condescending was no help asked for a report of the vehicle and he declined to provide me with it and so did Jorge, also failed to contact GMC like i had asked because i filed a report with them, all Martin said was Jorge did not relate my msg to him because he was having personal problems, I myself am in customer service and don't let my personal problems get in the way of me performing my job to the standards that are required by my employer and honestly I'm not sure why an employer would let an employee bring his/her problems to work and affect their work performance and not take care of customers properly. Also per Martin my car is at a body shop but funny thing is he was unable to provide me with name and address of so called shop and no record of that is kept, according to him and Jorge they don't keep records of the cars that are brought in to them this is the first i hear of that from any dealership. This is the 6th car we have purchased from Cardinale and will be the last!!! Lesson learned!!! P.S they need better customer service and training on how to treat and talk to customers!! read more

After purchasing a new 2012 fleet truck from Cardinale GMC Motors in February of this year, we were pulled over and notified several times by police and CHP that our truck was registered incorrectly as a non-commercial vehicle. Since then, we have contacted Cardinale repeatedly trying to get them to fix the registration. Unfortunately for us, their employees don't seem to care a bit about servicing their customers once the ink on the contract is dry and they get paid. It is now July and we are still getting the run-around on getting the corrected registration. Their employees do not follow through. I explained several times that our delivery driver cannot drive the truck until the registration is corrected, since we have been told that our employee would be liable for driving a mis-registered vehicle. After promising for more than two months that the registration would be handled right away, they continue to blow us off and make excuses for why they don't follow through and their snotty DMV person has an attitude like it's our fault somehow that she won't communicate pro-actively. It has been FIVE months since we purchased the truck, and the buck keeps going around as to why we still don't have our truck registered correctly. Five months is a long time to make payments on a truck that was intended to be a commercial delivery vehicle, and we can't do a thing about it on our end. And they don't seem to care a bit at Cardinale GMC. So, we wait...... read more

This place takes advantage and will try to make the most money out of you. I tried getting a used car that's around 13k with financing and their first offer ended up totaling to 24k in four years. We kept negotiating but still wasn't satisfied with the finance option because of our high credit scores. It was ridiculous because they gave us 6% apr. The salesman told me I'm unable to get a better rate than that because I'm a first time buyer. But guess what? I ended up going to Toyota, getting a brand new car for 20k at 0% apr for 70 months. I bought my car from Cardinale GMC in January of 2018, this was my DREAM car, I looked all over the Bay Area and central coast to find the exactly model, year & color that I wanted and found it at cardinale GMC. the salesman Corey and the finance guy got me a great deal(so i thought) While going over paperwork, I was under the impression the whole time that I had purchased an extended warranty rather than GAP insurance because who wouldn't get an extended warranty on a 5 year old car that they're going to be financing for the next 4 years?! Fast forward a year later & my car starts shaking, and the stabilitrak service light comes on. I texted Corey& he told me "you purchased the extended warranty, just take it to the nearest Chevy dealership" (it's a Chevy camaro) I take my car to Chevy, I have an extended warranty (so I thought) only to find out everything except the Powertrain warranty was expired when I bought the car & the Powertrain warranty expired a couple months after that. I reach out to Corey regarding this, no response. I call the dealership & spoke with Justin, he explains to me that I did not get an extended warranty but rather GAP insurance when I got the car. I explained to him, no I didn't because I specifically remember that conversation & exactly what was said when choosing extended warranty & GAP insurance. I ask to speak to their GM Dino because at this point, I'm beyond frustrated! Who wouldn't be! Dino wasn't available till later that day & he finally called me back, as I begin explaining the situation he begins to cut me off and their "great customer service" they pride themselves on went completely out the window. I've never been spoken to so rudely or been cut off that many times ever, and this was coming from the manager of a place i just purchased a CAR from?! Horrible. Once you make that purchase they do not care about you or your car, just the money of course. You have to literally harass these people or show up at the dealership just to get a response, and on top of that they'll tell you nothings wrong with your car only for it break down a week later! I took my car in as Dino said he "wouldn't mind helping out a broke ass college student out" (he was mimicking what I said as I was explaining my situation) so I took my car in, they said nothing was wrong with my car then a week later it starts shaking and a knocking noise comes on. WHAT ELSE CAN GO WRONG RIGHT?! I send the video to corey, of course he doesn't respond. I start calling Cardinale trying to speak to Dino the GM, or Carlos the Service manager, neither of them would return my calls! The only person there that actually does their job is Laly from the service department, thank you Laly! I take my car back in, driving it in that unstable condition, then i get there and they take two hours just to tell me there's a couple different things wrong with my car. How can all that happen within a week?! It doesn't! They obviously didn't do the proper diagnostic check when going down there is the biggest inconvenience for me as I live an hour away. On top of that, they tell me they have no loaner cars to give me (as they previously have when i take my car in) and instead of telling me this prior to me going in, they tell me when I'm already there!! I had to rent a car, and was soooo Late to work waiting for them to tell me they're still charging me for services, they don't know what's wrong with my car but "forsure somethings wrong", and wait for the rental car. Fast forward two weeks later, they still have my car, i have to call them EVERYDAY to hear back only twice & just to be told there's nothing they can do because GM doesn't want to eat the cost of repairs. Oh okay, on a car I bought just last January & only has 40k miles on it how does all that go bad when I've done the standard maintenance & drive like a damn normal person?! Then they tell me that it happens over time and I'm the one who did it from "driving too fast", yet how come they didn't see this issue coming the other times I took my car in? Then Dino finally calls me back & begins to tell me that they can only cover roughly 60% of the cost, which would leave me paying $3k out of my own pocket in repairs for a car that I didn't mess up? That I've been saying something was wrong from the start and they kept telling me no? Then I begin to let Dino know how frustrated I am & he told me to "fix my attitude" and began to yell and cut me off, telling me go ask everyone i know to help pay for repairs on a fucked up car they sold me. I got my car 6 weeks later, almost $3k later, the paperwork they gave me said it had $2688 worth of work done on it yet i paid $2750.. They turned my dream car into literally a nightmare. So please if you're thinking about going here, SAVE YOUR TIME, MONEY & SANITY. I bought a car here from this dealership from a salesman named Omar and they were bringing it from there other dealership in Las Vegas (supposedly) after we sign all the contracts we needed, I gave them my $2000 dollar down payment and they guaranteed me the car would be arriving on Saturday if not Sunday (mind you I signed for it all and gave my payment on a Tuesday) so after Saturday and Sunday passes I call the salesman who sold it to me and he says it's not there yet that they had to put it on a truck with a lot of other cars so it may make there in 5 min or later on tonight at midnight. I told Him ok just let me know keep me updated. After another week passes I called again and the salesman tells me unfortunately the place they were brining the car from wasn't let letting them get the car. Why would you tell me for a week and a half that it was on its way already when you guys never had it in your possession?! So after he tells me this he gives me two options either cancel everything and reimburse me or choose another car from there selection I told him no I will be in there the next day. I go in and they tell me it's gonna be a few days for me to receive my money and that the car they lent me would have to be dropped off that day if not they would not start he reimbursement process. So not only am I carless with no way to getting to work but I still don't have my money. The financial manager Martin and some other large caucasian man (who i can assume is the another manager) have the nerve to raise their voices and give us attitudes to my girlfriend and my brother. If you're looking for a dealership who is all smiles while you're purchasing a vehicle but doesn't have minimal customer skills to deal with you after, definitely buy here. I decided to write this review after the "stellar" treatment that I received from Dino Giacomazzi the General Manager. So I called Cardinale GMC to gather information about cancelling GAP coverage for a vehicle that a relative recently bought. Having been in the car business, I decided to ask for the finance director. Mr. Giacomazzi decides to cut me off and tell me that they can't give me ANY information and that I shouldn't be asking for managers. I tried to explain that my relative has tried calling multiple times but no one returns her calls (sounds like a recurring theme based on other reviews). After going on and on about how he can't give me information, he finally decides to give me the name of the person who deals with canceling the GAP coverage. Apparently Mr. Giacomazzi has years in the business but never once completed trainings on customer service and the importance of repeat customers, especially in the car business. In either event I will make sure to complete the dealership review that GMC will send and provide great detail about Mr. Giacomazzi's demonstration of great service. I hope then he learns how customers/potential customers should be treated. read more

Do NOT buy a car from here!! The salesman will lie to get you to buy a car. They promise to give you the gold platinum warranty, and weasle their way out of it. The day after the car was driven off the lot, there was electrical problems and battery problems. The car has been in the shop repeatedly. A few representatives from corporate have been involved. The manager stated, with a rep on the line that the "salesman didn't know what he was talking about". This experience has been a nightmare. We have had to contact an attorney dealing with the lemon law. This business should be shut down. GMC corporate is just as guilty as the dealership for backing them. read more

Thumbs down for this place. We contacted Brandon and inquired about coming down to test drive a specific vehicle that we saw online. I asked him if he could confirm that they still had that vehicle in stock prior to us driving 45 min out of way to see it. After placing me on hold and checking with his manager, he assured us that this vehicle was still in stock and that ,"they had been getting a lot of calls on this great deal". We agreed on a time to come down and view the vehicle which was set for several hours after we initially talked. We dealt with traffic, a fussy toddler, and fatigue from working a long day's work to come down and take a look at this vehicle, but once we arrived at the dealership, there was no sign of the vehicle that we had talked about. I assumed being a reputable dealership that they would have pulled the vehicle that we were interested up towards the front for us, but I was wrong, not very professional. We walked into the office and asked to speak with Brandon, noting to the clerk that we had an appointment with Brandon. He mentioned that Brandon was in a meeting and would not be able to meet. After a few minutes, Allen (great guy) assisted us. He told me that the vehicle was at their other location (Down the street) and we drove together to pick it up....so I thought. Once we arrived at the other affiliate lot, Allen went into get grab the keys for our test ride, but the vehicle was not there either. It turns out they sold they vehicle early in the morning and they indicated that their computer system had not been updated with that information. Once Allen took me back to the original dealership, he mentioned that he would have another vehicle in a few days that was more money and more mileage. Allen apologized and we left the dealership feeling frustrated. Brandon never came out himself to apologize for wasting our time, which was also pretty unprofessional. The kicker was receiving a generic email from Brandon the next day, thanking us for coming down and letting us know that it was a pleasure to speak with us and telling me that "we develop outstanding relationships where everybody wins". What a joke; Very fake and disappointing. Don't waste your time here. We ended up going to Gilroy for a better deal! read more

I told him the type of vehicle I was interested in and he got loose with conversation. He made sexual references as to how many men would look at me in this type of car. And how I would have a lot of opportunities with them. I was very insulted and let him know about it. I am in the market to purchase a used work van, I found one listed here at Cardinale GMC Seaside. I spoke with a salesman on the phone, I asked very direct questions in which he answered. The following day I drove 3 hours to purchase the van based on the pictures/ad and the very clear conversation I had with the sales associate only to get there to find out I was lied to. I asked direct questions that were answered with lies. They made me believe the van was in excellent condition only to get there and find the bumper was falling off and very obvious dings on the sides. They told me they would only negotiate with me in person but when I arrived and discovered the van in the condition it was they said they would not negotiate at all. My husband actually had to call the deal off becuase the pushy finance guy (Jason is his name) tried to push other vehicles that were not going to be acceptable. When my husband tried to explain that the timing was bad, the finance guy tried to lie to my husband about how long he would have to wait to register the vehicle in another state anyway (he's an out of state resident, stationed here in the military). Had sales rep mike disappoint me left and right during the whole process and after. First he gives me the worst trade in value possible for my car which I knew was coming. Then after telling him I'm a student and can only afford about 200 bucks on a car payment he can't even come close. Then tells me if I sign the deal he will get my missing visor clip replaced as well as a outlet cover replaced. After weeks of waiting he still hasn't received it. Then tells me they got the wrong part. Then worst of all I get a letter in the mail stating I'm unable to operate my vehicle until I pay a reinstatement fee from 2016 and I barely bought the car august of 2017. He told me to mail in one letter then I asked more questions and he told me to pay it. I called DMV and they were unsure of why I got letter and resolved my problem for me. Never going back to buy a car from them again. Mike had also informed me my license plates would be mailed to me. If I could give it zero stars I would. I've always known that dealerships were greedy and only cared about their sales. But this dealership throws that over the top. Lying to me and not even giving me proper information before expecting me to sign for my car. Giving me an outrages APR rate and having me have to break down and tell them that that's too much money before they take five minutes in their office to lower my rate 2% extra. All they care about is the money that goes into their pockets and getting cars off their lot. Don't let anybody in that dealership tell you that your cosigner is equally responsible and needs to be above you on your contract. I've been completely screwed out of my own car and have no right to my car. I can't even download an application on my phone to pay my bill because they put my cosigner as the primary. When I am paying every penny for my own car. Being lied to by the manager and the finance manager about being equally responsible. No the cosigner was put above me so technically this car isn't even mine. want my advice, skip this dealership and find one in San Jose. I just recently bought a new / used truck from these guys. It was a three hour round trip for me, but well worth it. I was dealing with my local dealer for months trying to find the truck I wanted and wanting to trade in my current GMC that I had purchased from them. I went in over and over again and just felt pushed off, no commitment to locating a truck or anything on what pricing they could offer. I contacted Cardinal, we did the numbers and then had to wait for the right truck. I received a call Sunday night, was sent a bunch of pictures. Sent my GMC's info over, came in Tuesday and drove it away for a great deal and as promised. Jason Hilker was great to deal with and I would recommend him and this dealer to anyone. Alphonso was very accommodating while I was waiting for it to be detailed, offered me something to drink, food, put on the Giants game for me. It felt like one family with a common goal. This message is to the Owner & Manager of Cardinale GMC ----salesperson guy Cory and Mike continued to insult me & my husband. We looked this GMC truck online so we went there after 3 hours of the drive on March 22; the salesman guy Robby was very welcoming for showing us about this pickup. Then we sat to make a deal for the price & this Cory guy came up, he was so rude, unprofessional was pushing this sale to us and start telling us about the donation he did for homeless people I bought him bag....this & that. OK after couple times we talked with him about his all sales tactic we agreed to purchase this pickup. But we told him to make sure about all-weather mats, he said he will make sure of it with a smile but we didn't get it when we got key I told him you said you will make sure of it & he starts arguing that he never promise me & walked away with so unprofessional behavior like he wanted to kick us out of there. But he was so pressuring us to lock the deal, to sell that vehicle that he was saying he will make sure of it. When we talked with Cory & there was this big guy sitting in cabin right when you enter the building they start yelling like we are working under their command & made a huge mistake, while they were sitting & we were standing in front of them. They were questioning us, insulted us & were so rude, both of them start telling us we don't need the thing we are looking in the car, like they knew or grown up with us who knew our needs. They were so unprofessional were so pressuring us to buy the vehicle. I & my husband were standing for a while, they were passing so unprofessional & insulted comments I asked this big guy can we at least have a seat. I was telling my husband to walk out from their because of their sooooooooo unethical unprofessional behavior. It was sooooooo humiliated. But my husband liked this pickup & they were so pressuring us, insulting us. We wanted to do our own credit union loan but this Cory told us we have to have 3 months with GMC in order to keep the rebates. Then we talked with finance lady she said she will talk to our credit union in order to get us best rate by next morning. She asked us about our bank & city where we want our loan. We asked her Cory told us we have to keep loan 3 months with GMC that surprised me I don't want to say anything bad about her because she was so nice to us but it means she didn't know the finance things going on with the company, if company is selling such kind of deal to keep rebates & 3 months. If she knew she should have told us if we will do our own credit union loan, then we will lose our rebates discount. Maybe manager needs to educate their finances too that this is the deal going on with our company. I don't know it's even true or not because on March 26, 2018, when I talked with Robby he told me it has to be 6 months as per Sylvia finance manager over there. The words change. I wasn't able to get any help for finance on 26th because I was told Sylvia is the only person who has access to our file. Now I called today 3/27/18 Sylvia is again not in the office & another Finance guy is not available to talk with us. if we could give 0 stars, we would. We were referred as a family friend of the owner and if this is how friends are treated, we'd rather be enemies. We drove two hours out of our way after explaining exactly what we wanted by phone. Once we arrived, the owner did not even come out to say hello nor acknowledge our commitment to travelling to make a deal. We were referred to an obviously brand new salesperson who did the basics but underestimated our financial resources and finance background. The intial deal offered (which did not mention the interest at all) had us paying $7500.00 down with payments of $950.00. Any basic student of finance can realize that according to the time value of money, the given interest rate was upwards of 23%. The shocking portion of this exchange was when we asked how they arrived at the figure they did not know the interest rate, nor did they provide it when we asked. They tried to get us to agree to a deal with a 23% interest rate even though we came with excellent credit, home ownership, and substantial down payment. This dealership has the makings of a predatory lender, we observed this with a Spanish speaking couple within earshot that were being pressured into an overly leveraged deal. Buyer beware! Just like most of the reviews in here this will be another negative one. I had really attentive service at first and everything seemed legit. It wasn't until i signed the contract and purchased the vehicle that i started to see the unprofessional side of this dealership. The vehicle that i purchased has a few scratches on the paint which the salesman that helped me told me that the dealership was going to buff out the scratches. I left the vehicle in the dealership for 4 days and the work promised to buff out the scratches was never done. The worst part about this is that they claimed to have done the work when obviously nothing had been done. Since i had my own car loan from my insurance company (State Farm), the guy in finances, Mike, got upset at this fact and even called my State Farm insurance agent threatening her to shred the check she had issued me. My agent called me and she sounded upset and in disbelief that somebody like Mike could be so unprofessional and threaten her in that manner. This reflects negatively on the dealership because they tried to go against my own decision of bringing in my own loan and i am sure i am not the first person they have done this to. Ultimately the dealership cashed the check for my loan from State Farm but overall this was a very unpleasant experience that i do not wish anybody to go thru. read more
