By far the worst Carls Jr I have EVER been to. The drive through employee didn't even let us finish ordering before he cut us off and said he would have our total at the window. When we got to the window he had our order wrong and had to fix it. The hamburger bun was stale and disgusting. TERRIBLE SERVICE in the drive thru. They had a Hispanic employee who didn't speak English well taking orders. He messed our drinks up 3 times. We ordered $42 Wirth after a long day of skiing and paid for 3 chocolate cakes. Got down the mountain before we realized he didn't give us the cakes. My Hamburg looked like a drunk blind man put it together. A complete sloppy mess with condiments all over the out side of the bun. This is why some people get paid minimum wage and $15 should not be for everyone. Have pride in your job. read more

This place is horrible. I went to the drive through with only 1 car in front of me and I had to wait 10 minutes for them to get their 1 bag of food. Then it took another 5 minutes for them to even come to the window Soni could pay. I got a chicken sandwich and a drink, no reason it should have taken 15 minutes. Then I get home and my "Fresh Baked Bun" is burnt on top and bottom. Horrible. read more

A co-worker and I decided to stop and try Carl's Jr. on our lunch break. We both paid with a credit card. Later in the day I noticed I didn't have my credit card. My co-worker said she had to ask for her credit card back as it was taken to the back of the store. I remembered the associate took my card to the back as well and then I received my order and forgot to ask for it back. (Like I should have to ask for it back) Why are the cards being taken to the back, most fast food places have the customer swipe them at the counter. Is this Carl's Jr. just not following best practices or is it something worse, it has the appearance of impropriety! When I drove back to the store and talked with the same guy that waited on me, he wanted to take my ID to the back so he could see if he had my credit card. I said you can view it, compare it out here but your not taking it to the back. His response was he had to many credit cards and he wouldn't be able to tell if he had mine. My advice is stay far away from this place! At the best they are very incompetent, at the worst they may be doing something illegal with customers credit cards! Absolutely one of the slowest places I have ever been. Almost slower then the DMV, if their was only one DMV in our entire solar system. Food wasn't to bad though. The price was almost my entire life savings but luckily I had a car that I could sell to afford a milkshake and some fries. read more

Don't laugh... I pretty much never eat fast food. But I go here at the end of every ski trip to change and buy a really large iced tea for the road. The bathrooms are always nice and clean (which is clearly a priority for changing). On the rare occasion I get food, it is pretty much standard CJ stuff just in a better maintained location. read more

First off, the El Diablo burger is amazing with those jalapeno poppers in them. The issue I have here is how slow the place is. Both times we went there the drive through took forever and it wasn't even lunch time. Plus the service is terrible. Dropped down from the mountain just wanted to grab a quick burger. Ordered the All American It was the worst hamburger I ever ate. The meat was was supposed to be a 1/2lb it was as thin as a piece of cardboard. It tasted like it was 4hrs old with hot dogs that were right out of the icebox. Would never eat there again. As a local resident , I must say i have been here to many times than I should be. The staff is so rude, they don't greet you with a smile , and make you wait so Long to even order. As you stand in line they walk back and forth seeing that you are standing their waiting to order and don't ever tell you that they will be with you shortly , almost 90% of the time I go it has been a horrible experience. Like once for example I made my order with extra fries on the side, a cheesecake and also a shake. After 2 minutes I returned and apologized but if it was OK to have my shake taken off and I would just like a regular drink instead. I did not mean to be a pain, but the employee said wow -what a waste. How about the cheesecake did u wana take that off to ?! The way she said it was what bothered me. And also the manager was there and didn't correct the employee for her rude behavior, another instance . I went thrue the drive thrue, made a simple order of chicken stars with fries and a drink . and I literally had to wait 18 minutes for my order to be ready. Also another instance I went around 9:45 p.m. I asked for a chicken star meal. This time they were fast so I thought it would be a pleasant service and food. As I am walking out and take the first bite. I immediatley noticed that the chicken was reheated . it did not even taste like a chicken star what so ever.... YOU NEVER REHEAT FOOD. it doesn't taste the same. I def. Do not recommend to go to this place just because of the horrible customer service . they are non -apolagetic as well read more

Food was nothing special, even for fast food, yet it was very expensive for what it is. Ordered a medium of the most basic burger combo and was charged $10, definitely not worth it. Have a feeling this is because it is the only fast food in Mammoth anymore, so there's no competition. read more

This place is a piece of SHIT!! It took them 15 minutes to give me my order and they did it wrong. I didn't get my receipt or my order number. Half of my shake is unable to drink and I didn't get it until I had finished my food. They are not sanitary at all, found plenty of spider webs and even a cockroach. over the years I've enjoyed stopping at Carl's Jr. except for the one in my hometown. I live in a resort community where you expect high quality food and service. Carl's has a great menu and I really enjoy the six dollar burger. However, the people they have hired in Mammoth Lakes have terrible customer service skills, their cloths look dirty or stained and their personal hygiene looks pretty poor. They're always speaking in Spanish and I question whether they tamper with my food. Needless to say, I'm a former customer of Carl's. I don't know why the can't hire and train people like they do at in-n-out or 5 guy's burgers and fries. I'm not paranoid but I am cautious. We came here on vacation, and our large family decided to grab a quick bite. We were there yesterday, dining in. After eating, my son and daughter wanted a shake for dessert. I gave them money so they could go buy it. About 15/20 mns later, I realized they still haven't received their shakes yet! My husband approached the counter inquiring about the shakes. He was advised they are too busy so "the manager" gave my husband back the money! Granted, it was New Year's Day, and they were a bit busy, but I wouldn't say they were that busy for two shakes!!! Also, it was the way she approached the subject. My husband was speechless. I was appalled! A simple apology for the wait and giving us the two shakes after that would've been ok. He never expected to get an offer of a refund. My experience validates all the other bad reviews this place received. The staff aren't even happy to be working there.
