After going more than two decades without trying Carl's Jr., my friends stopped at one en route to Mammoth. Needless to say, it was love-at-first-bite with me and a turkey burger (no mayo). I'm not a fast food-eater, but this thing is good. This Carl's Jr. in Mammoth is really hit-or-miss. Horrible service. 2 times they have given me the wrong order... The first time, I didn't have time to go back, so it was a waste of money, because I don't eat meat and ordered the Beyond Burger. This last time, I was annoyed because I had to go all the way back, and wait in a 45 minute line to get them to fix it. They didn't apologize, and they practically threw it at me through the window. I looked at the bag cuz I didn't trust them, and they forgot a few things... They seemed more interested in talking to each other, and dancing, than their customer service. I told them how upset I was, and they just acted like they couldn't care less. To top it off, when I tried eating one of the fries, it tasted like mold. Ver bad customer service. I placed an order online, never received any confirmation email. The wifi connection lost so the order page reset and I didn't have the chance to see the order number. Tried to ask them if they could locate my order thru email or phone number, but the manager was very rude and didn't help at all. The lady who was taking orders from the drive thru with a big Hispanic accent on Tuesday morning around 8am on Tuesday August 1, 2017 is so RUDE. Our order was incomplete and my daughter in law went back in to request what was missing. That LADY yelled at the Manager and said that she did not order THAT ( in spainsh) and told my daughter in law to LEAVE in spanish, my daughter in law turned and said I speak Spanish and you are rude and shouldn't be working here with that attitude and then said "I don't want anything else than what is on my receipt" came out upset. That's when I went in who also speaks Spanish and that LADY wouldn't even look our way. The manager grabbed what was missing and gave it to us, no apology from anyone there. Mammoth Carl's Jr is consistent like any other Carl's. But there were only 3 people working which I think I was there around 3ish in late August of this year. But the chicken sandwich was good. I think this was the first time I actually ever went inside since 1996 (holy crap it's been that long) which I snagged some seat away that another person was eyeing since it was crowded. But it was dead the this time around. Here is a hint, you can find coupons around town where they offer discount on a menu item. But I didn't bring a discount dang it and it was in a Sierra's fishing magazine. I don't know if the coupons you get in the mail works here though. read more

I pretty much just get jalapeño poppers and sometimes french fries, and it takes probably 15-20 minuets in the drive thru every time and my food is never warm! The worst Carl's Jr. of all times I'm pretty sure. I don't know how a fast food restaurant is so slow! EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL, we ordered our food online and went through the drive thru and gave them the name on our order, we made sure the order was placed at the right location and we even had a confirmation email, this also isn't our first time ordering online we do it all the time, so we pulled up the the window to show the worker the confirmation email, and a man who I assume is the manager, wasn't wearing a name tag just a grey button up came up to the window and just said "WE DONT HAVE IT" without even bothering to check our confirmation email and everything, he told us we had to place the order when we were trying to show him it was already placed at this location he then rudely turned his back and told us to come in so my sister did, he then still didn't bother to look at the confirmation email and kept saying he doesn't have it without even checking their system. They were going to refuse us our food until my sister said "either give me the food or a refund" because we already paid $40 and the order went through on our end, they then asked what we ordered and made it incorrectly, missing items, and threw a burger at my sister when she said they missed a burger. The manager is extremely rude and didn't care about whether or not he was wrong or even try to solve the problem, he just wanted to be right so bad. Mammoth needs a new fast food restaurant or Carl's Jr needs a new manager it seems like the manager makes everyone around him miserable and he doesn't like/care about customer service, if the manger is miserable and angry it makes everyone working there miserable and angry which affects work performance and food quality. read more

I usually would not give a fast food place a 5 star review but my experience here deserves just that. Say you just got into Mammoth earlier in the day...say after checking in to where you are staying and doing bunch of the work you are actually in town to do you are starving and it is after 9pm. That is the situation we were in and we ended up eating at this Carl's Jr. location basically just because it was open. What really impressed me is that there might have only been one or two people working when we got there. The employee who helped us and our somewhat rowdy party was completely helpful and very customer service oriented. This employee was the one who also brought our food to us and was more than willing to get us tons of dipping sauces and fix anything that was wrong with our order. Seeing how he was one of maybe two people working at one of the only places open on a Friday night in Mammoth and seeing how he did such a great job of still taking care of us this location gets a total 5 stars in my book. :0) read more

the worst Carls I've ever been to - hands down. I'm pretty easy going with my fast food... and I've never EVER had to "return" a burger because it sucked so bad... but i did here!!!! It was AWFUL. wilted lettuce (bad), the cheese tasted off, and the buns were completely soggy. I'm sure it sat around too long under the heat lamp. The Mexican lady was surprised when I told her that I wanted another burger... she said "WHY!?" so I told her to take a look for herself "The burger sucks, that's why!" she gave me a better one (not great mind you). Just because this is the only Carl's or fast food type of restaurant here in mammoth , is the reason we stop here. I hate to say but the workers here have horrible attitude, not only that but when you tell them you are missing the something, they give you attitude.. I hate to put them on blast but management needs to see this. Put in people who are happy to have a job please!! And the bathrooms here need to be cleaned along with all of Carl's! This is by far the slowest Carl's Jr I have ever been to in my entire life, and it is consistently so. There used to be a clock at the window that times service and one time it went up to 8 minutes, 50 seconds, I kid you not. Make sure you bring your patience if you come here. If you look inside, you can see 4 or 5 people in there... what are they doing? Today I waited at the window for 5 minutes before even paying. I should have just left. Carl's Jr. has always been a kid favorite and has never disappointed in my lifetime until this past year. The restaurant chain, known for its big charbroiled burgers of epic tastiness, has launched the Turkey Burger. While it's great news for healthy eating while working out, it caused some frustration when ordering. I absolutely love their teriyaki burger (beef). The problem stems from these two words: teriyaki and turkey. Apparently, they sound the same. How, you say? Well, allow me to explain. I ordered a Teriyaki Burger with different cashiers taking my order and every time was handed a Turkey Burger. I kept my cool for about two months. That's how deep my love for this restaurant goes. I wished to see if they actually had it in them to correct their erroneous ways. Behold, with some patience, enunciation and some light intimidation, I was given a perfectly good teriyaki burger this past December (2011). Lesson: don't be shy to speak your voice to get what you want. Carl's Jr. is a unique experience. The staff actually delivers orders to table and waits more or less. Restaurant is pretty clean for a fast food joint. One major area they should focus on is their kitchen floor. I hardly noticed until a friend pointed it out. I felt a little hesitant, but that will not keep me from hamburger yumminess! They always come out with some new burger concept about every three months. So, expect them to keep those taste buds active all seasons. read more

Sometimes you're just hungry and Carl's Jr is my go to burger place. I ordered the guacamole bacon 1/2 lb burger, and I can say that was alright. Nothing special. Perfect when you're just hungry though and that's why I'm giving this 3 stars. If you're just looking for a standard burger then this Carls Jr is perfect. The most disgusting, worst restaurant we've ever experienced. We come to Mammoth every year and by far this is the worst fast-food restaurant I've ever been to. Tile cracked, light bulbs out, stained cracks in window coverings, chipped tiles, peeling wallpaper, overflowing garbages unkept tables everywhere---and its been this way for years! This place is a dive. It used to be spotless. Now it is filthy. The floors are so dirty they are sticky, There are broken and missing tiles on the counter. There is stuff living on the baseboards . . . The place is just gross. The young man who waited on us was friendly enough, but he must have been the only English-speaker in the place. My Slice tasted odd. My burger was nearly raw. The fries were over-cooked. I almost walked out--probably should have. With McD's in Mammoth now closed Carl's has no competition. This must be a franchise run operation--no Carl's corporate-run location would ever let the place become so run-down and dirty. The owner/manager ought to be ashamed. We visited this Carl's Jr Monday, August 17, 2015 at 2:30 pm. (We vacation in this area several times a year) The restaurant was not busy and there was no one waiting to order. The restaurant was extremely messy, unclean, and just plain disgusting. Our shoes stuck to the floor because the floor was so dirty. The tables were messy. The self serve drink station was soooooooo messy. We could not understand how the employees could not make an attempt to clean this place up. They clearly were not busy. After viewing this disgusting restaurant, we left, resolving to NEVER RETURN!!!! Now that I have returned from vacation, I will be calling the health department to have this place inspected. Also, I will be calling Carl's Jr corporate. After seeing the mess at this Carl's jr, I never want to go to another Carl's jr again!!!! Where is the owner???? read more

Do not go to this Carl's jr. The food honestly taste weird my buns were cold my meat was raw my French fries were cold almost stale kind of like if they double fried them again. Carl's is my go-to burger joint among the big chains. Something is wrong with this Carl's. During recent trip last month visited them twice at dinner time (March 29 and 30). Both times restaurant was empty (drive-through busy). Clerks are socializing in back but don't check for customers at counter. Once I finally get their attention, young lady is friendly but does not know how to take order. Botches it. Doesn't know how to add onion rings to a meal deal . Then food takes 15 min + to be ready. Decided to try them again next night, nearly same result. Long wait for food despite empty restaurant. Seems to be a management issue as staffers are friendly but are just clueless. Food quality was okay, but not up to Carl's standards imho. read more
