Had a hard time finding someone with the knowledge and experience too help us move an old Brookstone massage chair, but I am glad I was able to find these guys. Even though I was only moving it from an upstairs room to a downstairs room, I couldn't do it on my own because the chair had to be taken apart to get through the doors. They were able to do this and put it back together in the new room in about an hour. The only drawback was that they charge for a minimum of 3 hours even though it only took 1 hour. Regardless, I am very satisfied with the service, as this was a move neither I or all the other companies I contacted could have done. read more

I couldn't have been more pleased with the professionalism and care exhibited by these movers. The appointment was easy to set up over the phone, and they emailed a confirmation right away. They also sent a reminder a couple of days before. They arrived within a reasonable time near the appointed time (they were slightly later, but communicated that to me and did arrive when they said they would in the phone call). The two movers they sent (I wish I remembered their names) communicated clearly and well, were very friendly and attentive, were strong, and were very careful with my furniture and belongings. Initially I was very impressed and was telling everyone how smooth our move went thanks to this company. A week later, I discovered that my patio table base was broken from the move. A piece was broken off and pushed back so it wouldn't be immediately noticeable. I'm disappointed that they didn't tell me at the time, and that I had to find out this way. This company is amazing ! My boyfriend and I booked them for our move and unfortunately during covid-19. Alan, the guys my boyfriend spoke to over the phone comforted us in saying they will use masks and gloves which they did! We moved from a 1b 1ba to another1b 1ba but a bit bigger and knowing we have a lot of stuff, we asked for 3 movers instead of the 2. We had Dan, Rufat and Zurab and we LOVED THEM!!! They were fast, efficient, and wrapped anything and everything, they even wrapped our trash can !! They were very polite and respectful of us and our things and would constantly ask us where this goes etc which shows us they want us to be happy. They finished the job in 3.5 hours and the result was a good price we were so grateful of their performance we gave them a generous tip. Even our new neighbors who were outside walking by asked them for a business card cause they seemed like good people. I wasn't very impressed overall. They showed up 15 minutes late, but i really didn't want to start off on the wrong foot. I had thoroughly explained all the details of the move ahead of time, but they still seemed surprised that there were no elevators going up to my 3rd floor apartment, which i felt very bad about! They did a good job with packing things that needed to get packed and safely getting my things into the truck. They got up to my apartment around 9:45 and finished packing around 11:10-11:15ish! We did not have a ton to move but still impressed. They were behind me on the ride to my house but drove past the address so were a few minutes behind but after that were able to get everything unloaded in a timely manner and got every thing where i asked safely, most things going in the garage. So at that point all was well. It got weird when it was time to pay. I paid via venmo and they asked me to tip them. I always tip and stated i was planning on it. Then they started asking me how much then TELLING me how much i should tip. They told me i should tip them at least $120 cus that's "what everyone else does." I've never seen a service request specifically what they want to be tipped. It all just felt very strange and I wasn't sure if they were trying to take advantage of me, as i was alone and i'm a female and i am currently pregnant and just easily overwhelmed. At that point i just wanted them to leave and i gave them well above a 20% tip, each guy getting a nice cut. The payment interaction was so weird and sketchy and they charged me an extra half hour for drive time even though they were late, and they told me before i booked no other hidden fees. But as i said i was uncomfortable and wanted this transaction to be done and for them to leave. I would never ever use them again. read more

DONT NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!! THEY STOLE MY DIAMOND BRACELET & MENS PAIR OF YEEZYS! I hired his company 06/22/19 to pack my house and move my items into storage. They arrived with 3 young men (2 who looked high). I specifically told them they were not to go into my ex fiancés closet to pack any of his items. They were to remain in the home and he was going to come at a later time to pack. Half way through the move, I noticed a pair of shoes missing from my ex fiancé closet (they were neatly laid out in shoe holders so it's very clear to see when a pair is missing). It was only myself, my sister and my best friend in the house with these 3 men (I know. In hind sight it's a bad idea but I expected a professional service and nothing to be worried about). I confronted one of the men and asked if by chance they accidentally packed up a pair of men's shoes. They immediately got defensive and starting saying they didn't steal anything. One of the men dropped the box he was holding and left the house saying he wasn't going to do the job anymore. I called the company but no answer. I then asked one of the men to call their boss so I can speak to him to help resolve this. The man called his boss but immediately began speaking in Russian. This is when I realized I wasn't dealing with a professional company and needed back up. I was worried what else they have stolen that I haven't realized. I called the police to help assist. When they heard me calling the police 2 of the men (who I originally suspected) just left my house! While waiting for the police I finally got to speak to the boss and he seemed completely unbothered that the situation was going on. I asked him to bring 2 new guys because there was no way I was letting the other men back in or that the one left could finish the job. He said he didn't have any other men and I needed to use the men he sent. I told him the police were on the way and that's when he said he would send new men. When the police arrived they found the men about a mile away from my house. Arrested them and took a police report. Then an hour later 2 new men showed up who were literally older than my grandfather. I called him back and asked if this was a joke. NO WAY could these old men move an entire 3 story loft. I said he needed to send more men who can complete the job. He ended up coming 30 minutes later (meanwhile no one is working for about 2 hours now. Not one box has been moved or touch). He said he would bring new younger guys but I would have to pay upfront. I told him he needed to discount me for the theft/ 2 hours of no one working and the unprofessional experience. He said he would stop the job immediately and unpack all my stuff if I didn't pay. At this time it's 4pm and there is no way i was getting a new moving company out to my place. I paid Reluctantly having no other option (1900$!!!!). When we finally got everything to my storage unit and started clearing out the truck I realized a men's ferragamo belt that was hiding behind a couch but missing the hardware part. Then a huge wardrobe box was open with nothing side except my DIAMOND BRACELET BOX tore up with no DIAMOND BRACELET INSIDE. I started crying yelling and the movers and they just said "those guys did seem sketchy" but there was nothing they could do for me. I have never hired a moving company before but I know this is not how it should be. Do not hire this company!! I don't know if it was just the hired movers they hired to do the job or if the entire company as a whole is shady. Either way, the lack of support and professionalism I got from management says enough. I ended up doing a charge back with my credit card and submitting the police report. YES THEY ARE CHEAPER BUT YOULL END UP PAYING FOR IT! read more

Also they were incredibly honest. Carlos noted a chip on our tv stand that he was concerned incurred with the move. (It was already on the tv stand prior to packingand we were planning to mount it anyways) I was so impressed they did not try to hide it and were up front with the discovery when they found it. I decided to hire professionals this time. Scheduled everything through email and got a few days ahead of time I got a call to confirm the move. Morning off, right on time Alan, Gurna, and Nurgalym showed up and got right to work. They were friendly and fast, took a lot of extra care with all of my belongings. Even wrapped my couches in extra blankets to protect them. We had a very easy and pleasant experience with Carlsbad Square Moving. From the get-go I was put at ease. Great communication with the company when requesting the quote and arranging the booking. Time was scheduled. The driver contacted us 30 minutes prior to arrival time and were on time! The team: Diego, Malik and Usuf were extremely fast and efficient, taking great care with all our things. We relocated our offices to a new building, the move consisted of ten desks and as many computers, tables, loads of chairs, large printers, fridges, benches, shelves and many many boxes. All fragile items such as the computers were wrapped with great care and handled carefully. The guys were super friendly and throughout the move communicated well with us. It just made this big move that I'd been dreading so easy and painless! Moving is never fun and can be pretty stressful so it was really good to have a team that just got into it, no fuss. Make sure you ask about ALL fees up front and make sure you have a clear understanding of what is covered and what is not. Make sure your quote includes all fees as well. The owner sent me a quote that did NOT include box pricing and said it was included. Imagine my surprise when the crew showed up and asked me to sign paperwork with charges for boxes, tape, and moving paper when the owner said they were included. The movers themselves are great and very friendly. The owner is very fortunate to have a great group of guys working for him, but he is a penny pincher to the max. At the end he told his guy to give me 5% off of his own employee's work ONLY and not on the boxes. SERIOUSLY? I would NEVER recommend this place. I should've went with A&R Moving like I usually do, but my boss wanted to save some money. It's true when they say you get what you pay for. A&R is more expensive, but worth every penny not to mention the time you save having good communication skills. read more

Company stole over $800 worth of power tools during my move. When I contacted the company I was told that the men who moved me were temporary employees and had since been fired due to this incident. These were large power tools and not small nuts and bolts as mentioned in the company response below. All items from move were unpacked within 2 days of moving and are not 'lost' as suggested by this company. I booked two guys and a truck, I had Nurgali and Tolep, these guys really hustled to get everything loaded up, they took the time to protect wrap some of the more delicate furniture, and loaded it all up, along with a 2 bedroom house worth of boxes. They busted out the move in 3 hours and 15 minute, they really worked hard to get it all done.
