The perfect location for a birthday dinner, intimate, beautifully lit and a fantastic menu. The service is outstanding and the waiters do an awesome job making sure that you know exactly what you are ordering and are happy to provide suggestions if needed! From start to finish I could not be more pleased with my experience at Carmines!

Downtown Seattle's Carmine's location serves solid, tasty Italian fare in the renovated Palomino space - no complaints. Service was superb; never an empty glass or an unfulfilled request. This Carmine's location's menu is very similar to this restaurant group's Il Terrazo flagship in Pioneer Square. More similar to IT's than the Bellevue Carmine's, in fact. Lots of classic dishes (no sweetbreads, you still have to go to IT for those, but they do have the duck and the lamb chops!). Downtown Carmine's is also easier to get to than IT, with valet parking out in front. I think we've found a new haunt.

First time here. The restaurant itself is nice. Very pretty and well for date night. Calamari was salty for my tastebuds and more batter than the squid itself. Bread was hard but it was complimentary. Pasta was decent. Some of my noodles were still uncooked or wasn't cooked evenly. The best thing was the steak. Enough for two people if you don't want to bring home leftovers. Staff was friendly and accommodating to our needs.

First time at the Carmines on 5th Ave and had an amazing time. Our group got seated in the front and the service was spectacular. The food came out hot, fresh, and in a timely manner. Drinks came out pretty fast as well. The calamari size is a bit smaller than usual. The pasta has always been really good and no complaints. I ordered the ribeye steak and that came out grilled perfectly. The ambiance is very cute. Loved the chandler in the middle of the room. A cute restaurant to celebrate a special occasion or for a date night spot. There's a parking garage next door and the restaurant does not validate.

Overall a delicious meal, our server was great. prices are quite high.. but it is downtown. We ordered the Bistecca alla Fiorentina which was very tender and well-dressed with garlic/herbs. They mentioned all the steaks on the menu were dry aged! The squid ink pasta was one of the specials of the day, and came with massive grilled prawns that were very charred/smoke-y and well-cooked. Bf got the lobster pasta which was also creamy and delicious (like a bisque flavor).

O.M.G Lobster (look at that crab in the middle) Pasta! The noodles are my favorite.

Walking into Carmine's was epic. From the moment you step inside, you feel transported -- almost like you've stepped into a 1960s New York subway scene, but elevated with modern, sophisticated design and rich, moody colors. The walk leading up to the resturant alone sets the tone, and once inside, the space is breathtaking. From the charming, yet sophisticated bar to the massive, stunning chandeliers (true statement pieces), everything feels intentional and grand. The circular dining room, with guests gathered around sipping wine and enjoying beautiful Italian dishes, creates such an inviting and celebratory atmosphere. We were there for a birthday dinner, and Josh made the entire night unforgettable. His wine expertise was beyond impressive -- he walked us through regions, flavor profiles, and special details about each selection with confidence and passion. It's rare to find someone that knowledgeable and genuinely engaged. He made us feel heard, guided us thoughtfully, and the girls loved every recommendation. The food absolutely delivered. The lobster pasta was a standout -- creamy, rich, and generously topped with a heaping portion of lobster (not just a few flakes). Every bite was perfectly balanced with cheesy, silky noodles cooked just right. Another friend ordered the Bolognese, and that meat sauce paired with the pasta was so flavorful you just keep going back for another bite. The portions were generous -- especially for a restaurant of this caliber -- and we left completely satisfied. And let's talk gelato -- because you cannot skip it. Beautifully creamy and generously scooped, it came topped with the most delightful additions that elevated every bite. The toppings were not an afterthought -- they complemented the gelato perfectly and made it feel indulgent and special. For such a great price compared to the portion and flavor completely exceeded expectations. It was rich, satisfying, and yes... I happily devoured every bite. Josh's service was truly next level. He checked in thoughtfully, refilled wine seamlessly, and struck that perfect balance of being attentive without interrupting our fun. We were the last table of the night, laughing and celebrating, and he still went above and beyond -- even helping us take photos to capture the moment. That kind of care isn't required, but it makes all the difference. Josh embodies what hospitality should be and absolutely deserves recognition. Carmine's delivered atmosphere, quality, and exceptional service. See you there.

Gave my review of this location a few weeks ago and a true sign of an establishment that cares is one that will read your sincere comments, step back and see what could have been done differently. Such was the case here at Carmine's. I was contacted by Philip, one of the owners, the next day and we had a really nice conversation. Went back this evening and had a lovely experience. From the cocktails to the service to the food to the atmosphere, everything was perfect! Thank you so much for having a place where one feels like they're either in a garden, dining before going to the symphony or at the most upscale venue. They also just added a garden area outdoors so you can dine while taking in the city. Thanks again for a beautiful evening.

Beautiful restaurant for a special meals. I came for a business lunch, which I'd recommend Carmine's for if you're looking for a more warm and elevated atmosphere. Service was very attentive and friendly from everyone we've interacted with. We ordered the calamari fritti, which was a good option to share. They serve bread for the table so it was a goo mix to have as appetizers. I got the scaloppine di vitello which was delicious. The veal was tender (with light flour coating) and the polenta was one of the best I've had.

A nice place with great ambiance. The waiter suggested amazing dishes! I got the surf and turf, and it was amazing! Love the interior decor! At first when I entered, it didn't seem like the host was very welcoming but the waiter made it all worth it!

such a great dinner spot for a fun night out! Starting off with the ambience, it's a beautiful little swanky spot for a date night, or business dinner. the service was quick - I reccomend getting a reservation. we all had the na beverages and they were fabulous! apps were pretty good nothing too crazy but the entrees all shined. I enjoyed the special of the night spaghetti negra and I feel like the amount of food you get is worth the price. would come again.

Before we entered the restaurant, we knew that we were in for treat. They did an incredible job in creating the perfect atmosphere and food. Incredible staff and service. Romance shines through and through. Very sophisticated, elegant and mouth watering food. The only suggestion is to cut out some of the salty seasonings. Our calamari was cooked perfectly, just too salty for us. The rest of our meal was great. Will definitely return. We have dined at all three of the family's restaurants, congratulations on a beautiful place.

Carmine's is a solid choice for a special night out in downtown Seattle. The space is beautiful and upscale w/o feeling stuffy, and the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from start to finish. Every dish we ordered was thoughtfully prepared, full of flavor, and beautifully presented, with generous portions that made sharing easy. The cocktails and wine selection paired perfectly with the meal, and the overall experience felt polished yet relaxed. It's the kind of place that feels perfect for date night, celebrations, or anytime you want really good Italian food with great service. I got the espresso martini and bolognese and tiramisu in a coffee bean shape! So presentable and tasty.

Another successful new location of Carmine's. Parking garage located on 6th was only $7 for the evening and very easy to park in. Great wine selection and enjoyed the crisp paper plane cocktail. Waiter was very knowledgeable and other staff were friendly and quick with refilling the bread. Fried calamari appetizer portion was huge and filling. Absolutely loved the ravioli and cheese-stuffed gnocchi, so pillowy and flavorful sauce. Need a reservation for this beautiful space.

To me, a full 5 stars, means the restaurant goes above and beyond. Food, Ambience, and Service all have to be on point, and Spinasse has it all. You walk in and it's warm and welcoming. It's a fantastic mix of classic Italian decor mixed with a modern casual restaurant with large viewing windows of the kitchen. You're then met by extremely friendly and helpful staff. They've got answers to your questions, they're great at conversation, but not too in your business. Fantastic service. As I said, I have no critique to give, so I'll just try and describe what I tasted. We started with the ANTIPASTO MISTO DELLA CASA which is essentially small portions of all of their antipasta. This can rotate seasonally. Every single dish in this was amazing. We think the Capricciosa salad was our favorite out of the bunch, but everything was fantastic. We then ordered two half orders of Pasta, the TAJARIN CON BURRO E SALVIA and the TAJARIN AL RAGU. The TAJARIN CON BURRO E SALVIA is essentially pasta in an emulsified butter and sage sauce. I'm not gonna lie, I had low expectations for such a simple dish, but WOW. Sage can be VERY overpowering, but not in this dish. You taste the sage, but as a compliment not as an overpowering flavor. The ragu was also fantastic. The Tajrain by the way - perfectly al dente. It's such a thin pasta that it could easily be overcooked, but they nailed it. Then the Pan-roasted king salmon with sauteed chanterelles, crimini brodo and thyme oil... omg... Perfect pairing. Crispy skin, tender king salmon, and those mushrooms... one of my favorite dishes I've had ever. Not too salty, mushrooms were perfectly - al dente? not too chewy, but not too mushy. Perfect. Dessert was also seasonal - a sort of cake with cream, wafers, chocolate and hazelnuts on top. Phenomenal. If you're visiting SEA, or live here, please do yourself a favor and add this to your list!

Ordered: - Crespelle…read more - Tajarin con burro e salvia - butter and sage pasta. yummy. - Cavatelli al ragu di costolette - Cavatelli shape works really well with the ragu sauce. - Risotto di mais - Corn and tomato combo was good. Alternating it with the Butter/sage pasta was really nice. It was a tad too sweet near the end when we ran out of butter sage to alternate with. I don't think I would be able to eat this on its own, would get flavor fatigue. - Maiale brasato al latte - Zucchini estive con salsa agliata - Pomodori - hierloom tomatoes were huge and so yummy. Would recommend getting a reservation. Parking garage next door that wasn't too expensive.

Not only to experience the food, but the DREAMY outdoor space I had seen all over social media. Service was excellent from start to finish. We managed to get an outdoor seat (yay!) and the vibes were immaculate from the start. It definitely gives off more romantic/date night vibes, but it was also fun to experience with some ladies from my team. Perfect for a girl's night! Obsessed with the string lights, the fountain, and the overall atmosphere. You somehow don't even realize you're in the middle of Seattle when you're here. The menu has so many options which made it so hard to choose, but I ended up going with the Fettucini ai Fungh - fresh fettuccini pasta with wild mushrooms served in a light cream sauce topped with truffle oil, and I also added chicken. When I say this is probably my FAVORITE pasta I've had in Seattle, I'm not kidding... I almost cleared my plate which is hard for me as my eyes are always bigger than my stomach, but I made it happen! The cream sauce was rich but not too heavy, and the truffle oil was prominent without being crazy overpowering. 10/10 absolutely no notes. Hands down would have trouble ordering something else when I visit again. Without a doubt, I will be returning in the future for a date night!
