Nice restaurant in the Hilton on Granite Pkw. Large and attractive. Busy! The menu had a nice variety of breakfast foods. The buffet for $28 is available. We ordered off the menu. The three egg omelet with everything came with roasted potatoes and toast. My Tex-Mex Bowl was served in a cast iron skillet with a drink...good coffee and refill. Both meals were delicious. Tucked away inside the Hilton hotel lives my favorite bacon in the world. Seriously, I love bacon but it's rare that I can find the PERFECT slice. I think I can end my search, I have found it. The restaurant is pretty typical of a hotel-most of the patrons are hotel guests, business people type. There's a buffet that has a full spread or you can order off the menu. I have always ordered off the menu, but the buffet looks good if you're hungry. But-man, oh man, that bacon. read more

Was very pleased with the Mother's Day lunch. The hotel is gorgeous and my little boy loved running around the lobby and halls afterwards. Staff was awesome, friendly and attentive. It was 3 courses for $38 which included a buffet for the appetizers and desserts. Every item was fresh and everything was kept replenished and clean. The entrees were prepared to order and there was a good selection. I really liked this idea. Desserts were delish! They gave out a cute mini cactus to all Moms too. What a nice touch! read more

I'm on a quest to eat at all the eateries at Granite Park, which includes the hotel restaurant too. I happened to be in the area super early in the morning, and I figured I would try their market so a quick breakfast. Their market, which is located in front of the main restaurant, offers a variety of quick to-go items. Bottled drinks, snacks, pastries, individual bottles of champagne and wine for hotel guests.. They also have a pretty impressive breakfast and lunch menu, which include breakfast sandwiches, wraps, and pizza. I went for a breakfast egg and sausage muffin along with a pineapple kale smoothie. Both were pretty standard, and the price point was on the higher side but that is to be expected in a hotel. If you are a guest in this hotel, I would assume this is sufficient but coming from a "local" in the area, there are better options within walking distance. With that said, I want to give it another try at their dine-in restaurant. They have a pretty interesting menu, and I believe on Tuesdays they have tacos to go which I really want to try. I came here because I happened to be staying in the Hilton for a night and it was pretty late when I got in. I wasn't able to get served so I chose to eat at the bar instead. This is a slick and clean looking bar, with ok service. The food was pretty average, which is why I am giving it a 3 out of 5. I ordered a plate of hummus to start which was beautifully presented and tasted, well just like any hummus I get at the store it wasn't anything special. The pita was a bit dry, but it was a good way to start a meal. For my main course, I ordered the risotto, which I thought was pretty solid after the relatively average appetizer. the risotto was a little undercooked but some of the flavors of the vegetables on top made it more flavorful than your average risotto. The best part of my meal was the beer. It was a local honey beer which was quite good. It was out of the bottle which was sad and they only had a few standard on tap options (e.g. Goose Island). I wish they had some more local beers on tap. The bar was just your average hotel bar, but the food took quite a while considering we were a few of the only people eating. The food wasn't bad, but it was definitely no where close to what it ended up costing me. It was about 30 dollars without tip for just myself and I don't see myself coming back unless I stay at the Hilton again read more

Hmmm... Well... My friends and I met for dinner here (not my choice). It is the restaurant inside the Hilton hotel. Parking for the restaurant is right outside the hotel front and is for free. The interior decor of the restaurant is really well done; but that's about it. I was really confused by the menu, primarily because the restaurant is seemingly Mediterranean given it's name but the only thing on the menu that was in the region was the hummus. Everything else just seemed like pretty casual American fare to me. They provided free rolls with butter so that was cool (except one of the rolls had olives in it -- never had that before). I decided to try the pumpkin soup and margherita flatbread. Well, the soup looked ok but with the first sip it was just not good. The soup had some confusing flavors - it lacked salt but whoever prepared it tried to compensate by making it extra spicy. I expected the flavors to be more pumpkin-y, rich and sweet, definitely not spicy. I couldn't handle it and put it to the side. The waitress asked if I liked it and I said no and she said she would take it off the bill. I thought that was good customer service. However, when my bill arrived, it was still on there and my friends said not to worry about it (primarily because they were embarrassed) so I just let it go (it was $3.45, so not a big hit). The flatbread was thin but had some good flavors. I think it was $8 or $9. Anyway, most of the patrons here were also hotel guests and a lot of older single men were sitting alone staring at us in a creepy way. It was weird. I will probably not come back here because life is too short to have a bad meal. I gave one star for the decor, one star for the flatbread, and I was going to give another star for comping my soup but then I had to take it back because she still charged me. I hate to give only two stars but I couldn't find enough reason to give 3. Ok peace! read more

Great food in a very nice setting if you can get past it being a hotel restaurant. A friend told us about this place, he was impressed with it but we weren't crazy about the idea of it being in the Hilton. It is, however, a neat place with a cool, modern vibe. The restaurant has its own entrance in front of the hotel so that helps a bit. The food and presentation was very impressive, aside from a rather awkward plastic skillet that is used for the green chile pesto chicken. I had the scallop dish after a course of mushroom risotto. The risotto was borderline too rich but very flavorful. The scallops were excellent and well prepared. Clearly there is a chef in the kitchen. My wife was very pleased with the pesto chicken entree. The wine list leaves a bit to be desired, its a one pager with a particularly thin cabernet selection. The wait staff is very green but friendly and eager to please. Overall this place works on many levels, it could easily be a successful stand-alone restaurant. read more

The lady working at Carso cafe/market was super nice. I wish I caught her name so I could recognize her. I got fruit bowls and muffins the couple times I visited. The fruit was always ripe and fresh. The muffin I got was amazing! I think it was carrot, with carrots, raisins and just the right amount of spice. In general, the place a little pricey, but that is to be expected for restaurants/cafes in a hotel so I wouldn't take away any stars for that. read more

Thanksgiving Brunch was great! There was a good variety while keeping the classics. My mom is vegetarian and had plenty to choose from. The macarons and tiramisu were amazing. Mimosas were great but would be better without pulp :). The only awkward thing was the parking. My husband went to the self park side and still had valet running up to our car when he had slowed down to let pedestrians cross. Another negative is that the closest bathroom is on the other side of the hotel. read more

The tuesday lunch buffet is super gourmet for only11.99 and includes drink. That is the only day I come because the rest of the menu is kinda expensive but the food is reallllly good. The flat breads are too small. Delicious and great service! read more

We walked into Carso and were shocked there was no other table occupied - only one other table of 4 appeared before we left after 8:15 PM. The staff was very pleasant and willing to please without going overboard. Most of the food was great - but had a very limited menu. Mussels were incredible, the 7 hour short-rib was very good, Lamb Shank (told best in DFW) was excellent; the Risotto was the only disappointing item, grill vegetables and mushrooms were wonderful. Parking was free - but had they not comped the parking it was almost $9 for 2 hours. In the Hilton Hotel - brand new and Map software could not find it. read more

We dined here for Easter Brunch. Normally I would not book one the latest reservations but the days activities put us there later than I would of like. The brunch was advertised to run 11a-230p. Our reservation for 7 was at 2p. I even called them to make sure that they would re-plenish and have fresh items available. I was assured that last seating was at 2:30p but hot/cold items would be replaced until 3p or later. This was not the case...the food items had seemed to be sitting out since 11 and it was the bottom of the barrel...luckily only the appetizers and desserts were on the buffet so at least we got a really good entrée. I was very disappointed at the lack of attentiveness to the diners that came in later in the day. read more

THANKSGIVING BRUNCH. We had kind of given up on hotel brunches as too expensive, too full of rowdy kids, and staffed by wait persons who clearly would rather be elsewhere. Decided to give this one a try though, and are glad we did. Not the absolute most lavish buffet ever, but far more choices than expected, and all done extremely well. Meats were a surprise, with fresh grilled lamb chops and shrimp grilled outdoors (good smokiness), and turkey, prime rib, salmon, and cold cuts inside. Omelet station and excellent sides. Somewhat modest, but more than adequate dessert offerings. All that's good, but what really stood out was staff. Everyone working made it clear that the goal was to deliver the best dining experience possible today. Yes, you have your designated waiter, but nearly every other person who was on the floor would notice a glass needing refill or a plate needing to be cleared, and would take it upon her/himself to do it. It was quite something to watch them work. Not only efficient, they were all extremely pleasant. The buffet is not inexpensive; but is priced fairly, considering the quality of the food and service. (And high enough not to attract a lot of families with large numbers of children.) We were told they do a similar brunch for Easter and Mothers' Day as well. read more

Wonderful little find for lunch to take clients or a friend. The food was excellent, and the staff very inviting. i met Chef Vik who brings a new flare to Mediterranean food. I can't wait to return for dinner. This is located at the Hilton in North Plano, almost Frisco, but doesn't feel like a hotel restaurant and very easy to park, in fact the restaurant offers free parking. The bar is also amazing and would be a great place for Happy Hour, wonderful patio overlooking a small lake.. read more
