Casa Asia is my go-to spot for sushi delivery - to say that I'm fond of them is an understatement. I order a party platter from them at least 3-4 times a month and those are the meals I look forward to the most. They don't pack the maki rolls with rice and they taste so good especially the snow crab avo, in my opinion. The staff is always pleasant, and I get my deliveries quick. Went here for the first time a few days ago for dinner. The place was empty on a Saturday night. It is very casual and more of a grab and go type of environment. For appetizers I had the gyoza and the kani salad which was very tasty. We had a few different dishes for the main course. We had the pineapple fried rice, spicy yellowtail and the Whitestone rolls. The pineapple fried rice was okay...not really much flavor. The Whitestone roll was falling apart and did not taste good. The yellowtail roll was decent. Once we were finishing eating the waitress immediately delivered the check. We felt rushed the whole time. I would understand if they were about to close but even when we were sitting down eating the staff was hovering over us. I am not sure what was the reason for this but I wouldn't recommend coming here to dine in. read more

Not sure how this restaurant gets good reviews. Maybe dining in experience is different from delivery I had received. Besides the 45 minutes to receive my order every item was terrible. Kani salad was soggy and tasted like it was made two days ago. Crazy dragon roll had the oldest tuna I've ever tasted in my life and drenched in eel sauce. Yellowtail roll was falling apart in the container. Disgusting!!! This week I ordered General Tso's chicken and Basil Thai shrimp lunch combination which came to be about $20. Staff was nice on the phone and in person. The line was short. Portion is huge and half were rice. I wished they had more sauce. The pork fried rice didn't have much flavor. The brown rice was good. The chicken had too much batter and wasn't crispy but I liked that it had white meat. The shrimp tasted delicious but it was mostly veggies and didn't taste very Thai basil. I came from Canada and saw this sushi store so I went in it, and was surprised by how the waitress was so nice and polite, the food was also a bomb, it's been so long since I've actually liked a Japanese sushi store. These guys know me by now. I get their sushi delivered so much that when I came back from sushi hiatus for a month, the delivery guy told me how much he missed me. I missed him too. The sushi here is not very well pressed. It falls apart easily. The rice isnt that great either. The temperature is no good and the fish itself is nothing to write home about. But if you're a cheap Asian, you'd be happy to know that they give you *thick* slices of fish, which is the only reason Im rating them this high. These slices be thick, yo. They are the thunder thighs of slices. Both the nigiri and the rolls are supersized. So big. The Chinese part of their menu is pretty take-outy. With the exception of a few dishes, like the cold peanut noodles, which was quite good. Anyways very big. read more

Ordered the 3 roll lunch special and a pad thai for delivery and they came fast. Spicy tuna/salmon rolls were above average and I liked they had more filling than rice. The shrimp tempura roll was the smallest I have ever seen before and tasted standard. The miso soup was ok as well. I liked that they didnt go crazy with overkilling it with the miso paste. There was just enough so I don't feel like I am dying from the sodium and it wasn't overly salty like some other places. The pad thai was wetter than you would expect, but it hit the spot. Not exactly authentic, but I wasn't expecting anything since I'm getting Japanese food lol. Ordered dinner the day after Thanksgiving and the sushi was NOT good. It tasted "fishy", as if it was either previously frozen or just "old". Definitely did not taste fresh. It was so bad I spit the sushi into a napkin and no one else ate their dinner,either. It went into the trash. Since it was a delivery order, I then called the restaurant to complain (this was an order over sixty dollars. Whomever answered the phone was very annoyed at hearing my complaint and his best response was, "other people ate it". No apology, no refund, nothing. IMO, they were unloading the stock that they could not sell over the holiday. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else where they stand by a quality product. read more

Ya know, it sucks having to turn a 5 star review of a place you love into a 1 star review. The Thai food they serve, is amazing. Truly. It's great. Unfortunately I won't be ordering from them anymore, as their delivery guys don't quite understand the concept of "delivery" and the fact that the lack of parking in Flushing is "not my problem". I will PAY you for delivery, when you actually deliver the food to my door. If I have to put on shoes and walk outside, it ceases to BE delivery, and you will cease to get a tip for delivery services. Why, two weeks in a row, do I have to leave my apartment and building to meet you outside after getting a phone call from a frantic delivery guy who mumbles barely English and barely intelligently? This review is based mostly on their delivery service. I've never been to the physical restaurant, but we order from here a lot through Eat24 because it's convenient and the food is pretty good quality. However, I don't know that we will very much anymore, because their delivery service is increasingly poor. On more than one occasion when we've ordered, we've gotten a call from the delivery guy asking us to come downstairs to get the food because there's nowhere to park. I can see this happening once or twice, but it's happened at least four times now. We order in from a lot of different restaurants, and Casa Asia is the ONLY one that ever seems to have any trouble 'parking'. The first few times it happened, I was annoyed but brushed it off. The second-to-last time we ordered, my phone was on vibrate and I missed the delivery guy's call. When I checked my phone, the restaurant was calling and when I answered, whoever had called sounded really ticked off and told me the delivery guy had been 'waiting for a really long time.' When I checked my calls, he'd tried to call exactly 7 minutes before. I get that can be annoying, but less than 10 minutes does not equate to 'a really long time,' at least not in my book. If that wasn't bad enough, my husband goes downstairs to get the food and comes all the way back up, and as I'm opening the bag I get another call from the delivery guy- he didn't give us our entire order. So my husband went back downstairs and had to wait for him to come back with the rest of our food. I ordered food this afternoon for lunch, and the same thing happened- there was 'no place to park' so I had to go downstairs to get it. When I went down, the delivery guy was waiting outside the door for me! Clearly he was able to park somewhere, so why he made me come downstairs I don't know. If this review were just about the food, they'd probably get 3 or 4 stars. The pad thai, teriyaki chicken bento box and 3-roll sushi lunch special are all solid, good quality and large portions. But the delivery service is absolute garbage, so if you're able to, I'd just go to the restaurant in person. read more

Consistency is one of the things I value most when it comes to ordering out. Too many restaurants these days will send you food that's 10/10 one day and 5/10 the next, you never know what you're going to get with them. This is not a problem with Casa Asia. The food is not a mind blowing 10/10, but it's good, it's fresh, and it's satisfying, every time. Delivery driver is very friendly and quick, my food has always been delivered within 20-30 minutes, even for larger orders. Has the management changed here? Last night I decided to go to my favorite Asian restaurant that I have been raving about so much over the past 2 years but I noticed the following significant changes: 1). New wait staff- They were a bit slow, not very friendly as the former staff was. 2). No a/c on even though it was a very warm & humid day- so it was a bit uncomfortable sitting in a warm restaurant. 3). No more free edamame- Was used to getting this delectable snack under old managment- guess they are cutting corners. 4). Shrimp fried rice was a bit greasier and overaly salted 5). Ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box- portion was significantly smaller than usual but was still delicious. 6). No more music playing in the background- It was nice listening to music while dining- Why has this changed? For these reasons my former 5 star rating has dropped to a 3. I really wanted to like this place since their Chinese is OK compared to other terrible chinese delivery options (seems most of the better places are the ones for pickup.) Sad to say there are no PROs. CONS: 1) First couple times guy walked up to our apt but after that they insist you come down to get your food and discuss the order on the pavement. 2) At the last time I ordered I had to come downstairs since they called and I barely could understand what he was trying to say. It seems he 'couldn't' find parking. I tipped a couple bucks on a 14 dollar bill (when he reminded me I chose the option to tip in cash so it seems he was really expecting a tip. He also reminded me I requested an extra portion of brown rice at which point I then paid the 2.20 ( i did forget that at first). However, when I got upstairs there was no brown rice!!!! 3) Food is often cold or room temperature and no consistency in food quality. One time the broccoli and beef was crisp and fresh, next time the broccoli was soggy and seemed stale. Won't be ordering again. read more
