There are so many people working here, it was a little overwhelming but the service was great, vibes here are good, beautiful decor, the food was amazing, great drinks. We had a reservation and they offered us a free small glass of champagne while they got the table ready. They really take care of you here, I would highly recommend this place. The only time we had to wait a little longer was for our check our waitress didn't come back for a while but overall had a great experience. My dining experience was ehh/okay. There was lots of mix up and mediocre service. I asked for a vegetable and the server told me they only offered beans. I asked for a sample but was refused because beans were made fresh, i also work at a high end restaurant and sample is not an issue where i work, but ok. I also noticed the customers next to us had received cabbage and cauliflower. Is that not a vegetable? spoke to multiple managers through out the night, one had took my drink order but came over upset that we had sent my husband drink back. But their drink runner had given us an extra cocktail on the house. So we no longer needed the expresso martini. Ofc i sent it back, not going to over serve my husband to appease you. My management team took myself and a few others to dinner here and it was really delicious. The place itself is very cool and had a great vibe. The service was excellent too. My favorite thing was the apps and sushi. We got the queso which was mind blowing. It's not like a dip but pan seared? Regardless it was incredible. Service and Food does not match the price tag. We frequent all of the restaurants in Preston center, and this just misses the mark. While the renovation is great, the management clearly isn't up to the challenge of the location. Post meal, we were promised a table in the lounge. While we made our way from the table, the table was given away and we were left standing around. The bartenders said "they ordered already we can't kick them out". Summary- Don't waste your time. My first impression walking into Casa Brasa was just wow. You can tell a great deal of thought went into the design--the space is absolutely gorgeous. It has intimate spaenough for a date night but also has areas that work perfectly for larger groups. The service was exactly what I hope for: attentive without hovering. And the food was excellent! My friend and I shared a couple of sushi rolls and the wedge salad--everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We will definitely be back! read more

DO NOT COME IF CELEBRATING A MILESTONE!!! my friends treated me & another friend to dinner here to celebrate our graduation. we went on a wednesday night. our waiter rushed us throughout dinner the entire time despite repeated requests to give us a second to catch up. the food was great but it was soured by the service. the worst part was the $25 cake service fee: as we were seated, a friend asked our waiter to hold a beautiful cake she brought in the back. after dinner, we asked for it back & he served it to us very kindly. it was a pre-cut cookie cake. we got our bill and a $25 cake fee was included. we wouldn't have asked to put the cake in the back if we knew there would be a fee. the waiter said he would remove it because of the confusion, but eventually returned and said the manager refused to remove it. the manager came over and said waiters MUST tell patrons about the cake fee, which ours did not. he argued with us and said the waiter DID tell us. we said he did not tell us, but the fee was nevertheless not removed. one of the following must be true: either the waiter MUST tell patrons about a cake fee--or else it must be removed-- or a cake fee must be automatic per restaurant customs. you cannot have it both ways??? it was so disappointing and my beautiful graduation dinner with friends was soured by this TERRIBLE service. I truly enjoy the food and the atmosphere here been many times since their opening. Although the food is great the front desk staff needs to do better with seating and time. There has been numerous times I've had reservations and had to wait over an hour after the reservation time to be seated to the point we've ended up dining at the bar or speakeasy so what is the point of reservations if they cannot be honored at their allotted times. I truly have high hopes for this restaurant but the seating and reservation times need to be corrected. read more

This place is run by arrogant and pretentious idiots. We had a large party for a bday and first of all - it took them 30+ minutes every time we wanted drinks. Then, a manager came by a chastised the birthday boy because he had a vape on the table. He wasn't even smoking it, but he had to make sure we understood that it was naughty. We were constantly ordering food and drinks and then at the 2 hour mark, a man came over and said - we have to turn the table, it's been 2 hours. We spent thousands of dollars here and were treated like we were annoying and not worthy. Bro, your restaurant is in a strip mall next to a Chase bank in Dallas, calm down. If you want to feel unwelcome and have a grade school teacher watching and judging you while you drop thousands of dollars, this is your place. If you want to get treated with respect and have a nice evening, go somewhere else. These people are about to find out how fickle Dallas high end dining is very soon. I would not recommend this restaurant. My reservation was at 8:30 and did not get seated till 9:15, and when I expressed disappointment the owner was super rude. All the sushi was super fishy and not good. The martini with the sidecar was horrible and looked like rosé. The only decent thing on the menu is the octopus, but it was too salty. First of all, this is an honest review, and not one prompted by loyalty or bias. My wife and I had dinner on the 3rd night of this new restaurant's operations, with high expectations for a memorable dining experience. Unfortunately, our experience was mostly memorable for the wrong reasons. Where do I begin? Other than utilizing valet, there are virtually no parking options. While the valet service was attentive, it was quite chaotic, both arriving and departing. Upon entering the restaurant, we were wowed by the enormity of the space as well as the decor. Casa Brasa really is visually stunning. Fortunately, we were seated on time and presented with their all-in-one menu booklets. Unfortunately, one of our leather bound menu covers was completely empty. The clock was now ticking on the 2 hour maximum time limit imposed on diners. Let me state that navigating the all-in-one menu is quite cumbersome, primarily due to both the forma and the small font size, further compounded by the low level of restaurant lighting. We noticed several other diners struggling to navigate the menu as well, as evidenced by the number of cell phone flashlights in use. I am not certain what Casa Brava desires to be; whether it's a fine dining restaurant or a nightclub? While there were a fair number of small to medium size younger groups, there were also a number of families and couples in their 60's and 70's. The dim lighting, as well as the selection and volume of music leaned more toward a nightclub atmosphere. The food menu is quite eclectic, but with a bizarre mix of mostly sushi and steaks. While Casa Brasa promotes itself as a fire driven South American restaurant, there were only a few grilled options on the menu. We decided to split a Casa Brasa fattoush salad and an 8 ounce filet mignon ($60 a la carte). Vegetable options are largely limited to multiple versions of potatoes, all of which are heavily prepared with butter and cream. A better option for us was the head of grilled cauliflower, seasoned with a variety of spices. Along with our dinner order, we opted to share a glass of white wine and also ordered a bottle of Chilean red blend. Unfortunately, the white wine never arrived, although it appeared on the final bill. After a lengthy delay, the salad was served and the $175 bottle of Chilean red wine was presented and opened by the Sommelier. I must say that the salad was quite good. Unfortunately, the $175 bottle of wine was hot and unsuitable for consumption. I requested that the Somm put it on ice for 15 minutes or so. By this time, we are 80 minutes into our 120 minute time limit and we have only consumed the complimentary lavash, a salad and 2 glasses of Champagne. The $175 bottle that we ordered retails for $60. Many of the other red wines on the list were marked up 3x to 4x their retail prices. At these prices, expectations are many. On the quality of glassware, the restaurant delivered. In other areas, they failed miserably. For instance, the vintages are not listed for any of the wines. While this practice is generally acceptable for wines up to a certain price point, this is unacceptable for wines priced in the hundreds of dollars, as many of Casa Brava's wines are. Also unacceptable is serving expensive or tannic red wine at room temperature and above. The Sommelier was unclear on whether or not any of the red wines at Casa Brava are maintained in a climate controlled environment. One hour after our salad course arrived and at approximately the100 minute mark of our dining experience, the steak entree and the side of cauliflower arrived. The steak was ordered medium rare. While this was an excellent cut of beef, it was only cooked to rare minus and it was also served at room temperature. Although Casa Brava promotes itself as fire driven, there was virtually no char on the steak. Fortunately, the accompanying cauliflower dish was excellent. By the time we finished eating (and through no fault of our own), we had exceeded the 2 hour time limit imposed on diners. Fortunately, we were not asked to leave by restaurant management. While our server was quite pleasant, service was rather spotty, with long periods of inattentiveness. It was quite apparent that she had too many tables to serve. One of the other employees told us that the restaurant is severely understaffed. In addition to being short staffed, quality control was also lacking. While several manager types were present all evening, no one even bothered to check on us until we were finishing up with our entrees. Fortunately, a manager did remove from our bill the $20 glass of wine that we never received. After a 2 hour and 15 minute, $400 dinner, we departed. While waiting at the valet stand for my vehicle, another diner approached me and asked if I thought that Casa Brave would "make it". Based upon our experience, I expressed my doubts to him. His response? "We will not return". Ditto!!! read more

Amazing that a huge restaurant on their second night could deliver both flawless service and exceptional food. The space is gorgeous, unique, vast, exciting and polished. The service is just the right combination of attentive professionalism that makes dining out enjoyable. The food is served perfectly cooked, at the right temperature and is both familiar and different - both in a good way. The private dining room and the speakeasy are secluded enclaves for special occasions. Prices, except for the sushi, are very reasonable and the wine list is both extensive and well thought out.
