Food was yummy and the decor was cute. I came for the big concha's but they didn't have any this day. I definitely would come back again and hope to try it!

    Caramel late

Food is fine not as good as expected Drinks to be honest we didn't personally like them the caramel one was very simple and the mocha too strong. Cafe de olla until Today I haven't found the 100 percent match as a Mexican flavor to be honest I didn't even drink half the taste wasn't fresh and it didn't have the flavor to cafe de olla which i expected to be authentic base on the name of the restaurant Service is fine but waitresses didn't even offer extra napkins or be more attentive since it was early and there was only 3 tables including ours I think they need to keep it more clean the outside smells a lot to pee and inside you can't really enjoy eating since there is a lot of mosquitos. We have to ask for boxes and check since they never check on us and didn't even got a receipt

I stopped by after seeing their giant coffee and giant concha, if I were a true coffee drinker, I definitely would've ordered one, but sadly I'm not. Instead, I got the strawberry matcha, and it was delicious, not overly sweet, just perfectly balanced. I also ordered a skillet, which was full of flavor and very satisfying. The only downside is that it's a bit on the pricey side, but given that it's located in the heart of the Gaslamp, it's understandable. The restaurant itself is beautiful and very clean, the staff provides excellent customer service, and the music is at a comfortable volume, perfect if you want to sit and work or just enjoy the space. Highly recommend and let me know how the giant coffee they also do it for Mexican hot chocolate.

    Avocado Toast & Americano

I stopped in Casa Friday for some breakfast and coffee. I ordered the avocado toast at a whopping $15 and an Americano black at $4 and some change. The coffee was okay, but it had a bitter after taste so I asked for a little milk to help mellow it out and it did. The avocado toast arrived on two slice of wheat toast. It looked very nice upon arrival, but it was lacking in flavor. They put an avocado spread and freshly sliced avocado on top as well. They put crushed pepper and chili flakes, but a coarse sea salt would have really helped this toast get over its one dimensional flavor profile. Also, they should consider using a more thicker artisan bread for better texture. Keeping up with the Mexican theme, the addition of some queso fresco on top of the avocado toast would have been just grand. The place offers a variety of Mexican breakfast, lunch, and dinner classics with a lot of up charges on several of their items, such as chilaquiles and enchiladas, specifically for proteins and such. There's plenty of inside seating. The place offers some nice art work and decorations. The service was pleasant. My server Magda was very nice and friendly. They are just getting under way.

    Mole enchilada

My waitress was super friendly and was able to confirm i could make a substitute with my entree. I got the mole carne asada enchiladas with flour tortillas. Vert tasty.

Pros: Everything tasted amazing! Service was great! Cons: it's a wait if you do not have reservations

This business just opened and saw it on my social media page and decided to give it a try! Beautifully decorated! They have a back room with a fake tree giving Cocina 35 vibes. They have a QR menu and offer a dinner option after 4pm. It's street parking and since it's in downtown it's a hit or miss. I ordered the chilaquiles which I think were okay but didn't have flavor enough to want more. I preferred a side of the chile verde side just to try it out and it was okay. The cafe de olla was okay but not my favorite. I requested the check and it took them awhile to get to me, maybe about 5-10 minutes and since my parking meter was running out I got up to see if I can pay upfront that's when the waitress stopped me midway and I paid. They do have the giant concha and coffee pot but I think it's only for the pics because who can drink that much coffee. It was okay but wouldn't go back.

The service was amazing, the server who attended us was pleasant and courteous and although we got there right when they open she was very respectable and humble. The food was delicious and drinks were amazing. The atmosphere was inviting and the music was enjoyable not too loud and I knew all the song!!!

    Chipotle chilaquiles

We were really excited to check out this spot. The food was good--just a little underwhelming; the chipotle chilaquiles weren't very spicy and kind of lacked flavor. Also, they got my order wrong, but no big deal--I won't hold it against them, haha. The waiter was attentive and checked in on us a few times, which was nice. We did have to remind them about our drinks a couple of times, though. What really made a difference was how friendly the staff was--especially the manager, Jasmine. The ambiance was also great, no complaints there. All in all, it's a lovely place for a satisfying breakfast!

Was in SD for the weekend and decided to skip my usual spot & try something new. The decor was so pretty, The staff was all friendly, very attentive. I got a biscoff latte and huevos rancheros & it was delicious. Will come back again for sure.

A good overall view of the concha

Was in SD (San Diego) saw this place on tik tok and thought I'd stop by and check it out. The waiting time was like 25-30 but in reality lasted like 15 minutes at the very least. Walking in the staff greeted us with really friendly smiling and made us feel welcome. The ambiance was great music every one having a great start to their day while am over here thinking on what time get to eat as everything looked so good and delicious. I went with 3 other people so they wanted to also see what was the big fuzz bout the BIG concha bread and BIG hot chocolate it was that or coffee so ended up with the easy way out and got ourselves the hot chocolate. Let me tell you it was really nice hot perfect way to start our morning. Wanted to try out the food but the concha and hot chocolate filled me up in which I was bummed out as I was looking forward to trying out the chilaquiles. The sad part we didn't get to finish the hot chocolate nor the concha. I'm hoping next time I come I'm hoping to try other food. Overall it was great experience definitely will go back.

The food is good, I had the enfrijoladas. It was very tasty. The place is nice but small, it seems that maybe they will expand later because the store next door seems to be also from them. We had to wait before entering which is ok, but the downside is that it took a long time for them to take the order. After that hiccup everything went well. The waitress was super friendly and nice.

If you are familiar with the Orange County cafe scene, this place feels like it can be one of those coffee shops based off the interior design, good quality of food and drinks, merchandise, overall ambiance, and more. The food and drinks I got were really delicious! There are a lot of spaces to study in the cafe with ports to charge your electronics and Wi-Fi. The service is great as well. If you are looking for something else to do after visiting the cafe, there is FotoOp, a cute photo-booth experience with a lot of different backgrounds!

**August 2026: Sunday Afternoon Visit**…read more My friend and I needed a spot with good Wi‑Fi to do some trip planning while we were in San Diego. He found Easy Does It, so we decided to check it out. The space felt like a college campus and library combined. It's really big, with lots of tables and chairs, but nothing felt cramped. There were cozy seating areas and even some couches, so it was easy to settle in for a while and was definitely the kind of place where people can chat, study, or work on their laptops. The vibe was perfect for what we needed, and the AC was blasting. There are two gender‑neutral bathrooms and plenty of parking, which was a nice bonus. I ordered the Matcha Cloud and swapped in oat milk. We found a spot to work at the back of the house. Honestly, this place is huge and a great spot to do work. For space and vibe, I'd give it 4 stars. My drink didn't taste memorable or like something I'd order again, but I think if I'm in the area I might be open to trying a different beverage. Overall, I'd give this place about 3.5 stars.

Eating "here" out of a cold-salad plastic deli container (reheated), pre-made three days prior, was a bad first impression. Because no milk or water was added before reheating, the oats were thick, dense, and gluey. Order at the counter and hang out until your name is called. The service was spartan, order and pickup at the counter, though the cashier was pleasant. The shop is clean and they open the property next door for seating. A buddy ordered the San Dieggo. He said it rocked. It looked good. See photos. A note on pricing (not included in the rating): Price the food, don't fee the customer! Seeing a 4% surcharge for basic operational costs, wages, benefits, overhead -- is unnecessary. Why use a percentage-based sliding scale instead of simply factoring overhead into menu prices? A business's operating costs belong in the food price, not in fine-print menu line items. Stop the pricing shenanigans and just display what things actually cost upfront.

The bagels TOP NOTCH…read more The location cute and quaint, but I do like the Mission Valley location more. This location seems to have a limited menu whereas their other location has more options. It was a busy morning, so they doing their best to keep up with orders while people were asking if their bagels were ready. The workers were being so patient and communicating with customers that they were on it. The coffee TASTES like coffee! Silly to say, but it's soooo delicious and I love when coffee doesn't taste like a complete sugary drink. We had two iced coffees (basic sitch and blondie mocha) and their drip coffee. Would definitely order again. They were out of some ingredients, but they advertised it, so customers were not lead astray. Easily, their bagels make this the place to go!
