They treat us like family when we come in. Their ice is awesome and fried jalapeños are unreal. If you want classic Mexican cuisine (as presented in the states) plus some authentic Mexican dishes, this is the place. They do everything that other local Mexican joints do, but they almost always do it better. This is a family favorite. The location in Eagle is decent, but if you have to pass it to get to this one, it is worth the drive to Fairview. Excellent restaurant! If you go to ANY Mexican food in Idaho, pick this particular restaurant. Chips -perfect, salsa, perfect, service wonderful and fast and on top of everything! I even love the crushed ice at this place. I've been going here since the 90's, practically since it opened. Watched the owners kids grow up and now they work their with him. Their food is fast and hot and so delicious! All the steak plates are fantastic. If you are on a budget, try the small combinations. I love the cheese enchilada, it comes with rice and beans, a plate full of heaven. Their soup is huge and yum, and all their pork dishes are, well, everything is the best at this restaurant. Make sure you go at least once. They have a separate free room for groups, they also have bands that play on some nights. Great for birthdays as well. OH, and you can watch your games there on 2-4 tv screens. read more

This place is incredible. There is nothing like a Mexican Beatles cover band to go along with your fajitas. The only problem is when you order fajitas, they give you 75% vegetables and 25% steak. That's ridiculous, not to mention that I had to pay $1 for an extra 3 tortillas cause they only gave me 5 for two orders. The owner is extremely friendly although he's a 49ers fan which is unusual. We've eaten here half a dozen or so times and I thought the food was satisfactory... Less than satisfactory today and wasn't going to leave a review except for the fact that the owner thought it was appropriate to argue with me on the way out the door. On this visit, we were served 3 very small salsa bowls (smaller than we normally see at Mexican restaurants and not even full) and told after that, there would be a charge for additional. I don't like hidden charges, so the end result was a less than satisfactory meal for us. The 3 tiny bowls were supposed to suffice for our chip appetizer (with paid for side of sour cream) and then our two entrees, which included some pretty dry rice which needed salsa badly. On our way out of the restaurant, the owner said something like we'll see you next time, to which I responded we probably wouldn't be returning and that I had never heard of a salsa surcharge at a Mexican restaurant before. The owner then took an agitated tone, saying he has to pay for everything. I explained to him that I understood that, but that I did not like the surcharge, and as a customer, I evaluate restaurants based on comparison with other restaurants, and I had experienced no Mexican restaurants with such a charge thus far (Nor would I consider going to one with such a charge). read more

I would say zero stars, but it's not an option?? I would might just have to give the restraunt a negative score, it was JUST THAT BAD. The food seems pretty good when served, but do not let the restraunt be deceitful. Sure, it may look like "Cheesy" Mexican restraunt, but you will most likely get food poisoning. Me? I got food poisoning, not even a couple of hours later. My family also did, five others, a total of six. All sick already, at the moment. Not to mention all different meals, so it's not just one specific food served there, it's all of it. I have also read some other reviews. Most I saw was either five or one. However, I noticed how the website for the reviews and the app says specificly, "Remember, businesses can't pay to alter or remove their reviews" but please notice that it doesn't say anything about paying to ADD reviews. Overall, I would NOT go there again. I would recommend that YOU do NOT go either. I'm from Mexico City. We ordered a vegetarian chimichanga only to find out it was full of Chinese frozen stir fry from Winco. This really was messing with my wife's head. The sign says authentic but it was as authentic as spaghetti with ketchup instead of tomato sauce. The service was nice but the experience was disturbing. read more

My hubby and I love eating here!!! The friendly staff has a very low turnover so they know us and know what we want!! There is so much food in what we order that we always have to take it home which gives us at least two more meals. The chips and salsa are a must, we eat some there and take some to go!! Great example of you can't judge a book by its cover. Small, hole in the wall restaurant but houses some of the friendliest staff and the best authentic Mexican food. We arrived around 7:20 pm on Monday, June 25th. The young girl standing at the front desk refused to seat us. Meal was pleasant, food was good, server was prompt and cordial. However, when we went to the front desk to pay out, the same girl was there. She immediately turned to the people who walked in the door after we stepped up to the desk and seated them before returning for us to pay out. She was externally rude, and that is neither the first or last thing you want people to remember about your restaurant/establishment. Not sure we will visit again if this is the reception we can expect. Our money spends just as well elsewhere. read more

Love their shredded beef burritos (and especially there tacos), the pork verde burritos, and their pollo la crema is a must try. A wonderful dining experience. It was a warm day, but I enjoyed the a shady spot on their patio. Their chips were light and crisp, while their salsa had a fantastic flavor. I ordered a combination with a chicken taco and a cheese enchilada. The chicken was so very tasty just the right amount of seasoning. The serving size was perfect and the beer was so cold that it almost was icy. This is a great place to dine. We will be back. read more

The VERY BEST Mexican food we have had in a long time!!! Not too many choices for Mexican in Boise, but we found a gold mine!!! I have Celiac disease as well as allergies to egg and dairy and the waitress was EXTREMELY knowledgeable of my choices. I had their chips (TO DIE FOR BTW!) warm, melt in your mouth deliciousness!!! The salsas and bean dip with those morsels of happiness were enough to have for a meal!!! But then our dinner came out!! HUGE portions, warm plates and presentation delightful but not too fancy. I had the fish tacos that had fillets the size of my palm on each of the 3 corn tacos above Spanish rice and topped with fresh lettuce, onions and tomatoes. Our server asked to have the Tatar sauce on the side without my request knowing my food allergies! (That seldom happens!). My son had the steak burrito and his comment "Even though this looks like it's all mushed together, I can taste all of the different flavors" was the same I had as well as my hubby for his huevos and chorizo burritos. We left the restaurant feeling delightfully full and ready for a nap on our plane home to Denver!!! read more

Went here tonight for dinner with my family. Wow! Wish I would have taken a picture of my husbands burrito! It was the size of a small child! The food was hot and soo fresh and so delicious. I have a feeling we have found our new favorite Mexican restaurant. Coming from California, we were not sure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised with our whole experience. Got to meet the owner on the way out, Ernesto, who let us know of Sunday's when they have $1.50 kids meals. Sweet! Anyways, I couldn't say enough about how much we enjoyed the food here. I had a chili reano, beef tamale, and beef enchilada, and my husband had he burrito pasol. The steak was flavorful. He didn't want to leave a bite on his plate. But it was seriously huge! I was skeptical of this place being kind of hidden next to a jitjitzu place but I'm so glad we gave it a shot. read more

This is the worst mexican restaurant we have ever been too. Very dirty. The kids used to eat free Sundays, but now its a $1.95, which would be fine but drinks are NOT included. Husband and I ordered the fajitas for two, and a side of shrimp. They brought us the shrimp and charged us full price for two fajitas. The kids meals were disgusting, two of our kids had to run straight to the bathroom, and we had to wait what seemed like forever for our check. Would not recommend to anyone, and we will not be going there again. Also the meat they used for the fajitas looked like canned cat food. read more

This is the worst Mexican restaurant, and in fact restaurant in general, that I have ever been to. At our table we ordered vegetarian enchiladas and a vegetarian burrito, both of which were awful to the point of not being able to eat them. The vegetables inside consisted of water chestnuts, snow peas, and baby corn- all of which were very obviously frozen vegetables from a bag. On that note, I don't know anyone who goes to a Mexican restaurant and wants water chestnuts in their burrito. The tortillas were soggy, the rice was crunchy, and everything was flavorless. The frozen Asian veggie mix they obviously used didn't even have as much as salt on it. There also was no cheese inside of the vegetable enchiladas whatsoever. Being the only people in the restaurant, I at least expected good table service even if the food was repulsive, but our table was hardly even checked on. The staff also didn't seem to care about the state of the food, either, as we made it quite clear that we couldn't even stand to finish our meals. We felt sick after eating just a little bit of the soggy, flavorless mess. Worst food I've EVER had at a restaurant, hands down. read more

I ate at the Casa Mexico Restaurant on 13th St., and it was absolutely the worst Mexican food I have ever eaten! The chips were paper thin, tasteless and stale. The Seafood Rellano Chili was also bland, with processed cheese in the middle, and very little of it. The seafood was tasteless as well..obviously frozen..not even flash frozen...just frozen. The beans were watered down. I come from California where Mexican food is very influential and very good. The rice was the only thing that I would recommend getting. I thought I would try the fried ice cream to make up for the lousy dinner. How wrong can you go with ice cream...right? OMG, it was absolutely the cheapest most tasteless crap I have ever eaten. I asked the waitress what brand it was...she said it is what they get from the restaurant supplier, Cisco...obviously the food is as bad as the cheap decor...not a wonder there were not very many people there on a Friday night, when the other restaurants on that street were packed.
