Had Dinner at Casa Mexico a couple of weeks ago and plan on another visit tonight. Sevice was great and the food exellent. I had the (Pork) Canitas dinner and it was absolutely the best I've ever had. The pork was perfectly cooked fresh and tender, not dry and over cooked like I've had at other places. I travel to Livermore every month for business, and always eat here, sometimes more than once. The salsa is very spicy and tastes fresh. I usually order enchiladas and tacos, and love them both. Would give it a 5, but the rice is very average. It needs something to kick it up. Excellent place, check It out. read more

This is the first time I have ever written a review on any business. First, I want to say that the food is really good. However, this last time we went in the service was not so good. I realize they were busy and covid makes it difficult for restaurants. However, that is not my complaint. On my previous visits to Casa Mexico the Cadillac margarita used to be $18.00 each which was kind of pushing it. When I got my bill the restaurant charged $22.00. I was stunned at the sudden $4.00 increase. There was nothing in their drink menu indicating the price increase. When I brought it up to the manager, his reply was "Well that is just the way it is". Which further shocked me! I have been to just about every Mexican restaurant in Livermore, not one has had a increase like this with out it being on the drink menu. Nor has any restaurant that I have been to in Livermore charged $22.00 for a Cadillac margarita. Because the manager refused to make it right, we won't be going back to Casa Mexico. I own a business myself and we would never treat a repeated customer like we were treated. read more

I Rate this place One star. Mexican food is not that expensive. I ate here and they charge almost $13 for a burrito. $29 for two. We started going here after Casa Orosco remodeled and are happy we found it. The food is good (though not exceptional), prices are reasonable, and the service is good. You can actually carry on a conversation and relax even when it's a full crowd. I wish that the bar was open later while serving a limited menu. Livermore has too few choices after 9:00. read more

I read some of the recent reviews and I have to admit that I have not been there for a few months...I have lost about 20 lbs though so maybe there is a connection there. This is my favorite "sit-down" Mexican restaurant in Livermore. It is a little bit of a hole-in-the-wall, but the servers are very friendly, the food is fantastic, and the chips and salsa are great too. My wife always gets the mild salsa and I get the hot and mix them. Anyway...the enchiladas are fantastic, as are the fajitas. I have had just about everything on the menu and have not really been disappointed with anything. They have daily specials and lately I have resorted to getting that, the chile verde, or the carnitas plates. All very very good! The price is boarder-line on the high side, but definitely no more expensive than Casa Orozco or Anita's Taqueria. I would recommend this place to everyone I know, weather you like authentic Mexican food or if you prefer a little more Americanized, I think you'll be able to find something you love here. read more

Very disappointed. Ordered a chicken burrito. Specifically ordered NO salsa, I hate onions. Paid $12.00 . Get home and opened my container and my burrito is covered in salsa and onions. I grew up on Casa Orozco and was a die hard fan until I tried Casa Mexico. The food is better and on a plus note much less expensive. The atmosphere lacks something to be desired but the food it worth it. Their Chili Relleno's are some of the best I've ever had. Good for lunch because of quick turn-around time. I've eaten here a handful of times and when family was visiting I thought great, let's go there. Lilltle did I expect the wait for party of six would be well over one hour (mind you I was told there would be a 30 minute wait). No apologies by staff or mgmt for long wait. Since my last review, it is sad to say that this place has gone downhill. I have taken a friend here twice and both times my friend had to send back his burrito because it was cold. On our last visit on a Friday at 5 pm, I wanted to try the Friday special (pork carnitas). The waiter hesitated and said he did not know if they still had any left.... really? it's your Friday special,,,,, anyway,, the food is just OK now,, it used to be much better. I took two fellow church members to this eatery to discuss future projects over lunch. Unfortunately within 10 minutes of our eating one of my guest practically levitated out of her seat in hysterics because as she looked down there was a cockroach crawling her foot. She was wearing sandals so she was clearly not mistaken that something was on her foot. My other guest who was wearing a regular full covered shoe stepped on the roach to kill it. This was not the only disappointing part about our lunch. Surprisingly when we told our waiter about the "uninvited guest" he responded with an "Oh really ? and went on to tell us that they "have the place sprayed and was surprised. " The young man didn't offer us anything to compensate for the fact that not only did we lose our appetites, but we weren't able to regain our focus on the matters. When we received our bill I decided to ask to talk to the manager because I didn't feel we should have had to pay for our meal. When I did ask I followed the waiter to the front of the restaurant and waited. The manager never came out but the waiter did apologize and while that was thoughtful I did tell him that I didn't feel it was right that we pay for our meal considering the situation. The waiter then said he would go back and tell the manager and see what he had to say. The waiter came back offering to take the meal of the lady who had the roach on her foot off the bill. The food was what I would consider "mediocre" at best. For that reason alone I'm not inclined to visit again. Restaurant goers BEWARE! read more

First time we went I ordered the appetizer of 4 Tacos, thinking the plate would be small. I was very wrong, the plate contained 4 full size tacos. Their Tacos Al Pastor are very good and I'd order that any time again, even tho I know now that their appetizers really are full meals on their own. Most recently I had a delicious mojitilla, which knocked me straight of my socks and rendered me useless the rest of that Sunday afternoon (must have had a lot of agave nectar, and me being an alcoholic lightweight just can't handle it). read more

Was looking for a new spot for Mexican, haven't been too impressed with any place in Pleasanton or Dublin, so we thought we would try this place. Chips and salsa gets an A+. As others have said portion size is huge, husbands Fajitas were enought for 2 and he was pretty happy with them. I had one of the best Chili Rellenos ever. A REAL pepper with some heat, light batter, not that thick egg stuff, good amount of cheese, and the ranchero sauce was simple and tasty. Easily 4 stars for food, but 1 star for service. Don't go here if you are in any kind of a rush. We waited forever to place our order, forever for drinks, and a long time for the food. After the food came our waitress never stopped by for anything. As this is a neighborhood restaurant, we keep trying. Unfortunately, the service does not improve, the margaritas are over-priced and bitter, and the food is not consistent. If they were friendly, I would have given them another star, but, as often as we go there, they are not friendly, and they do not care about any patron's needs.
