Summer Hours 2025

Wow what a gem in the area! The experience I had coming here with my brother was amazing! Somehow before we got to eating, we were both super excited for the food to come! The interior and ambiance was small but cozy, well-ventilated and with nice calm Spanish music. The staff was super friendly and welcoming and we ordered the birria tacos duo combo and I got the burrito loco wet style with half-green sauce and half-red sauce. The burrito plate astounded me the most, it was huge and the carne asada was tender and delicious. Paired with the salsas, each bite was so good and tempting to want more. I could only get to eating half but it was so good and I wanted to keep eating more. Would love to come back here again because the menu iis vast and looks really good. *Outdoor seating also available *Bathrooms *Good salsas *Friendly staff

Horchata and Jamaica with on the house churros (which are the best churros )

Food is great! You can't go wrong with anything- but the Casa Pasilla burrito is one of my favorites. I'm Mexican and my tell of a good Mexican restaurant is if they can do a really good bean and cheese burrito- well this place can and is my go to when I'm craving good Mexican food...also, Sabina is great!!!!

Churros are really good. The Breakfast Burrito Americano was good too!!! Great food and good service!

Good food and service!!! I'm definitely coming back!!! The breakfast burrito and churro were really good.

Hair found in the carne asada nachos. Should have never tipped for take out.

Found a hair halfway into my food. Threw the rest out. Should have never tipped on a take out order.

Boasted the best birria tacos around oh they aren't kidding. Fricking delicious, my friend had never had one and the mmm and oh she was making told the story of deliciousness. Two of us a two taco plate (up for a chili rejeno taco) and two drinks about $42. Highly recommended. Small little place with outdoor seating. Yesenia our cashier/ server was sweet and terrific. Do counter for breakfast lunch or dinner if you live close or are passing through.

This had to be one of the most incredible restaurants I have ever been too! From walking in the door the atmosphere and ambience was amazing! Great service and everyone there was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend anyone to go check them out! I travelled from Vegas and found them in the area and I will definitely be traveling back to try more of their food. I had the Birria Tacos Duos Combo and they had to be the BEST birria tacos I have ever tasted!! Their horchata was amazing too! If you're in the area definitely go check them out and give it a taste!

Ask the Community - Casa Pasilla

Do they use Styrofoam or plastic for their takeout orders?

No, we do not use Styrofoam or plastic for our takeout, we mostly use alumimum and hard shell covers which is recyclable.

I just want to know who's paying $20 for two tacos?

Sucker born every day, is the way a lot of things in this world happen. I have had a expensive taco, with lobster and some crazy ingredients at a couple places, but one of them was amazing. Some 'tilas are 3-3.5" while others are 6", etc. But…

Do you have a Taco Tuesday?

Don’t think so. Doesn’t matter. Best tacos anywhere.

Is your birria beef?

Yes

Do you have a vegan menu?

Hi Veronica, We do not have a vegan menu at this time.

Do you use pork Lard in any of the food You make?

No we use corn oil to make our refried beans.

I just called to place an order and after the owner confirmed they are open til 10 on the weekends I was told they close at 9?

So sorry our hours have changed. The only day we close at 10 now is on Fridays. I will update that immediately.…

Is it open til 9 or 10 on weekends? No one answered past 9:40

It's a great portion and has a good kick but not too spicy. The hubster enjoyed the green sauce chilaquiles and he added an egg to his. The ham and cheese empanadas were savory. The place has limited indoor seating and some outdoor seating. It's small and attracts a crowd for breakfast and brunch so there can be a bit of a wait. The decor inside is really cute. You order in the front and then find seating. They don't take your order at the table. Very big menu with lots of food options and drinks. Definitely a new go to for me.

TLDR: poor service, mediocre food, lies about wait times…read more Man, I really wanted to like this place. The menu is huge and the reviews are good. The interior is also super cute. We went on a Sunday around noon and since that is their busiest day, they don't take reservations. We originally had a party of 7 and were told it'd be an hour and a half for a table. While there were a few people waiting outside, when I went inside to use the restroom I noticed multiple open tables. Everyone bailed except my boyfriend and myself because I wanted to try it. We told the hostess and she said it'd be about 40 minute wait for first available. So we went to Starbucks for a drink and maybe 5-10 minutes after talking to the hostess, we got the text to return. We were going to be seated outside so I asked how long to wait for inside. She said 30 minutes. So we sat outside. A couple that had put their name in as we were seated got sat inside after waiting 5 minutes. We sat right next to the door so it was hard to miss. Kinda felt like a slap in the face but whatever, we were hungry. You have to order inside at the register which makes it feel more like quick service than a normal restaurant. So my boyfriend orders. He points at the item we want (chilaquiles). He asked for water , a side of poblano sauce. When the food comes out, after about 10 minutes (so pretty quick), it wasn't chilaquiles but an egg and potato dish. We explain this isn't what we ordered and the bus boy goes to get the women inside whom my boyfriend ordered from. She insists he ordered something different. He said 'I pointed at what I wanted which was the chilaquiles'. The lady agrees (it felt like reluctantly) to have it made with the red sauce it comes with. About 5 minutes later the chilaquiles come out with a green sauce. No water, no side of poblano sauce. I get up and go to ask what happened and the man at the register looked up our order. He Told us we didn't order chilaquiles and became argumentative. At this point I just want the side of sauce and will eat what they gave us because we were hungry and didn't want them to mess it up again. Silverware was also not at the table and had to be asked for. The green sauce is fine but not what is on the menu or what we ordered. The poblano sauce was tasty. The potatoes were mushy. Eggs cooked well but salad wilted. The order also came with an empanada. I got cheese and it was fine. Nothing to go back for. We also ordered a biscoff crepe. I'm sure if you've never had a Parisian crepe you'd think it was good however, the consistency was of it was like a flour tortilla. Not authentic at all. The biscoff sauce made it taste ok. My boyfriend noticed the table next to us also had an incorrect order. So, they lie about the wait times, don't get orders correctly then argue with the customer when you try to get it right, and the food tastes just ok. Is it good for IG, yes. Do you want a quality meal with good service? Don't come here. Perhaps mine was a one off experience but it was highly disappointing. Not worth the hype Also they thought I couldn't speak Spanish and when I went in, I heard them talking about us. Just because I'm white, doesn't mean I don't speak Spanish

They had live music playing when we went on a Sunday and they have indoor and outdoor seating with misters working overtime to keep customers cool. There's a ton of workers constantly moving and taking orders, cleaning, making drinks and etc so service was very fast. I think from the entire visit took us about 20 minutes and we walked in at 1:30 pm and ordered a pretty large ish breakfast for 2 people. The eggs are fantastic, the bacon is crisp with no soggy bits, the French toast is thick and comes with some pretty cool toppings. The only thing that was a minor let down was the biscuits and gravy were a little lack luster but we chose to believe it was because they were closing soonish. Their coffee was incredible. Overall it's our new breakfast spot and we couldn't be happier with our visit. Looking forward to exploring the rest of the menu!

We ordered the Flying Fried sandwich, avocado toast, and waffles with eggs. The "Fly Sauce" tasted like a basic spicy mayo, the eggs were dry, the brioche bun was dry as well, and the waffles tasted stale. The avocado toast was probably the biggest disappointment; it just wasn't enjoyable at all. I always try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but for the price point, the quality simply wasn't there. Nothing tasted fresh or memorable, and we left feeling underwhelmed. Based on our experience, I don't see what makes this place stand out in a city with so many breakfast options. On the positive side, the staff was kind and welcoming, which is why I'm giving credit where it's due. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but unfortunately, the food was very mediocre.

It seemed as though there were about 10-12 tables inside, and all the employees work with one another to wait on the tables. We showed up around 10:45am on a Saturday morning, and to our surprise there was no wait. We were sat immediately and ordered a cappuccino and Arnold Palmer to drink. Then, I ordered the Salmon Benny with home potatoes, while my partner ordered the Churro waffle combo. It did take about half an hour to get our food, but it was well worth how fresh everything tasted. My salmon benny came on an everything bagel with cream cheese, and the salmon was served cold (in a delicious/ good way, not like it was frozen. I just wanted to make a note of this because usually when eating a salmon benedict the salmon gets warm from the temperature of the english muffin and egg). Then, the home potatoes had onions, and bell peppers and I kept commenting on how fresh the bell peppers tasted. My partner had the churro waffle with eggs, sausage and bacon. They really nailed the churro flavor of the waffle. Both our plates were completely devoured with no leftovers to take home. For our two drinks, two entrees (and the added combo to the churro waffle) it ended up being $53, which we found to be extremely reasonable for the quality, portion size, and service provided. The only thing I would mention was the parking lot gets a little crowded. They share a parking lot with the other stores in the plaza, and there were several spots open only because there were a lot of bigger cars who were over the line. No fault to the restaurant itself, just something to be aware of.
