Shane is an absolute piece of human garbage. Takes down my order for a breakfast burrito, asks me 3 separate times what kind of meat I would like, each time I said NO meat, i go and pick it up, and what do you know it has bacon in it. I call back to let them know of the mix up, and he leaves me on hold for 10 minutes. I hang up and call back and this low life argues with me trying to say "oh well what do you want?" "I guess i could give you ANOTHER burrito with no meat in it. LOL mf it's right in front of me you chud. Way to lose your business a daily customer who has been going here for 8 years. Never going back to this garbage heap. LOL so I went back to get my money back and this scumbag threatens to assault me. We get into a back and forth, and some Trump supporters eating outside literally come in, get into my face and physically shove me out the door and threaten me again. I have been to Casa Playa many times for take out. The food is simple and consistently good. On a recent visit I was a little put off by something one of the girls did. I was picking up my order, double checking everything was in the bag. I was missing the guacamole, no big deal. I was waiting for the cashier to finish with another customer when the other girl working there stood up from a nearby table where she was eating and came to help me. Normally this would be great, however her mouth was full of chips which she proceeds to lay a half eaten chip down on the food prep area to make a guacamole up for me. This is gross and not acceptable ever. I think the girls need a little more guidance, so this doesn't happen again. I will be back, as I'm sure it won't happen again. read more

Love this place. I have to visit every time I am back in town. The Machaca and Egg burrito is amazing, as well as the Chorizo and Egg. Add crispy hash browns to each of those burritos and you have pure breakfast burrito heaven. For lunch, it's hard to be the Sopes, it's the perfect portion, and it's light and refreshing. The ingredients always tast super fresh and the food is always delicious. The owners are awesome as well, and they work very hard to create a fun, friendly atmosphere where you feel comfortable to stop in and enjoy a beer, some awesome fish tacos and a good time just hanging out and joking around with them. Next time I'm in town Dave, you had better have some chorizo and hash browns on that griddle for me! read more

Best Mexican food in the Riviera. Hands down. Their ground beef tacos are absolutely perfect and the breakfast burrito is huge and equally delicious! Definitely a must try! Also the chili verde burrito is a favorite among multiple of my friends. Dave does a great job running the place and is very accommodating to customers. "Hey Dave the salsa's low" fills it up almost immediately. The wait time even on a busy day is barely noticeable because if how lively and enjoyable the environment is. They always have gorgeous girls working the counter, they make we want to come back everyday! While the prices are a bit high in my opinion it's worth it. An incredible experience from start to finish! We stopped by this Mexican restaurant on a whim and were completely blown away. This is my favorite place to get Mexican food in the area, my goal is to only leave reviews for places I like and this will be my only Mexican restaurant review, and I've been to nearly all of them in my area old and new. They keep putting cool new items on the menu, like the Craft Tacos and Baja Fish tacos, my friends who are more adventurous eaters then me loved the Lengua tacos (!!). My family and I have been dining at Casa Plays for 10 years now. We eat there nearly every week. The food is consistently fresh and always served hot! My favorites are the Chile Verde and the Carnitas Sope. They have the best prices in the Riviera! It's very popular with the locals and nothing speaks louder then the crowds lined up during the rush hours (so try to hit it just before or after peak times). I was renting a bike from Marina bike rental and just happened upon this place while out for a tour of the local area. Being from San Diego I've had the best of Mexican food. This place is right on top with some of the best. If you're in Redondo and have a few minutes this is the place. Service gets 4.5 stars but overall a great time. read more

My Family and I love the food at here. My son and husband are both vegetarian and they have so many options on food it makes it easy for us to eat here. The food here is really fresh. It's quite possible I'm biased, but I love that all items can be modified to be healthier. The tostada salad is awesome and all of the seafood dishes are the best.
