This place is AWESOME. been coming here for years. haven't been here since before pandemic. But the food tastes exactly the same. One of, if not, the best carne asada burritos I've had. The chicken tacos are also really good. It's shredded chicken (which usually is dry). But it was super juicy Haven't seen recent menu prices posted here...so here are the latest in 2022

OMGoodness... local small business with the best OUTSTANDING & delicious authentic Mexican take out. Located in Redondo Liquor & Deli (also a great place to shop). We go there at least twice a week for breakfast burritos (I love Phanny's and these are even better, believe it or not). I go almost everyday for fantastic fresh brewed coffee. Best of all... supporting local business helps define our community and keeps it strong. Thank you Miguel & Veronica

This is a nice deli with great service providers located inside of the Redondo Beach Liquor Store, which is spacious. This is a place to pick up food, not to find a place to sit down and eat as a "dine in" option. But, luckily, it's walking distance to the beach and if you go to the "Alphabet Avenues" (i.e. Avenue C, etc.) you'll find areas to sit up top, or if it's a nice day, you can even walk down to the sandy beach area. The food here is good, and you can get lunch for under $6. The food is of good quality as well as quantity. I've tried their burritos, both the carnitas and the ground beef. I look forward to trying other menu items as well. I've not found a signature item that I flat out recommend yet, but am enjoying the adventure trying something new every time, and have yet to be disappointed. During lunchtime, it's not too crowded and there's parking in the front as well as the surrounding neighborhood area, so it's really convenient. So, if you're really hungry and on the go, with limited time and $10 or less, you should stop by here and give it a try. OH... Transactions are CASH ONLY, do be prepared with Paper, not Plastic. There are Banks with ATM's all along PCH, including a Chase and a Wells Fargo at the Torrance intersection of Pacific Coast Highway nearby. You can support the liquor store too by buying added snacks (chips, candy, packaged goods, etc.) as well as beverages, and they have a nice selection to choose from too, not just alcohol, but sodas, soft drinks, bottled water, etc. The liquor store also sells lottery and lotto tickets, if you're feeling lucky too!

The staff are always nice & quick service.

It's unexpectedly large for a place by the shore, and I was thrilled because even though I checked Yelp and Google, I couldn't find much info. They're open super early and stay open late, and it's just such a gem especially since that area tends to shift toward restaurants or other businesses. This neighborhood really needed a good grocery store, and they have everything: fresh meat, drinks, snacks, fruits just like a full local grocery. The staff was really nice and laid-back, though the only downside is that parking is super limited and intersection it's tough to get in and out since it's near a small with a red light. Still, I'm really glad it's there, and I want to give a big shout-out to the local folks to support this place. The prices are really reasonable, and we need to keep these local businesses thriving. they're the heart of the community. I gave them five stars. I just hope they can clean it up a bit inside, maybe freshen up the shelves or ceiling. But overall, I'm so happy it's here, and we need more of these places in our city.

The Reuben with corned beef and the Reuben with pastrami. Both plates come with your choice of a salad and pickles. I recommend the potato salad; it's my culinary guilty pleasure. Truthfully, I don't get that much a smoky taste from the pastrami, but it's still delicious. That corned beef is so wonderful, it's so tender and falls apart so easily upon a bite. Their soda menu is a very lowkey, unsung hero. I've tried soda brands you don't typically see in grocery stores. Their ginger ale hits the spot without fail each time. I think one drawback is that this place doesn't allow adjustments. I've personally never asked for any, but I can see how other customers might find that off-putting. I typically do a pick-up order vs. dining in, but when I do enjoy the sandwich in the restaurant - the service is super quick and cordial. The interior of the place itself isn't exactly upscale, but it's also more polished than a standard diner. TONS of seating inside and a few tables outside if you want to enjoy your food with some fresh air. Walking up to the restaurant, I noticed there were many outdoor patio tables lining the sidewalk. The deli counter is the first thing you see when you walk in, but there's a huge indoor dining area. The sign states to seat yourself, so as soon as I seated myself, staff provided me with a menu. I ordered a coffee and hot pastrami sandwich on rye bread which comes with a choice of salad. I chose the cucumber salad. The pastrami sandwich was huge. It was packed with a lot of high quality, tender pastrami meat. The plate also comes with a side of pickles, so yes, I was full afterwards. My coffee cup was always filled, tasted good, and hot. The two staff that were waiting on all the tables were friendly and efficient. There was never a moment I felt neglected. It's prefect for both small and large groups. Parking: Free, shared strip mall. Crowded, small parking spaces.

I was pointed to the cooking section and told they had two brands: Tony's and San Antonio. Without really knowing that I knew what I needed that I had been unable to find elsewhere, they met my goal of finding this very specific item. Meanwhile, though not my first visit, but a long time since my last, I couldn't help but notice how large the space is, and how much they have to offer. Only half of the space is a store. In the back, they have a full bakery of popular Italian treats. Bombolinos and cookies and even basque cheesecake! Then they have sandwiches and other homemade meals that you can purchase by the pound. And to top off the experience, you don't have to wait to get home - there's a fountain for beverages and you can eat your deliciousness in their large dining area. I personally will be back for a lunch visit, at some point. For now, I'm going to be using that Marsala wine to attempt duplication of a nearby restaurant's chicken Marsala recipe!
