We came on UO's graduation day to celebrate my graduation. There was only two workers and I think they felt quite overwhelmed because it was a Monday and might've not known it was graduation. The food took awhile to come out but came out still hot. We had the beignets which had a crisp outside and were a nice not too sweet treat. I had the hash plate which I felt like the hash was a bit greasy, and i wasn't the biggest fan of the hash browns, but overall it was good. I know that this restaurant is new so they're still getting used to it but I think that maybe having another worker would help tons. Everything had good flavor but each thing contrasted a bit in my opinion. I will come back for sure and hopefully with time the service will even itself out!

First off, we were greeted by the sweetest employee, excellent start. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, the lucky clucker, coffee and a mimosa. Everything was perfection. The gravy is perfect, egg cooked perfectly, amazing biscuit, thick bacon and perfectly fried and seasoned chicken. The fried green tomatoes were also perfection. Highly recommend this place!!!

A simply delightful breakfast. Huge portion sizes! Food was delicious and made for great leftovers too. It is an order at the counter restaurant, the gentleman taking meals was also preparing dishes, they were very nice and clearly made every effort to get to everyone quickly!

I'm actually surprised at the 4.1 rating after trying cascade biscuit. 45 minutes to get our food. Only 1 person working. I question the food practices here, saw a giant pan of gravy on the counter with a box fan blowing in front of it. The place just was a bit cheap feeling and tables were dirty. Biscuit and gravy was extremely bland. Looked so good but when I took a bite it just wasn't very good. Biscuit tasted like it had too much baking powder. Bacon was awesome though, super thick cut. Would not go back.

The hype is real! I had been having this place suggested to me for weeks and finally had the chance to try it on a Sunday morning. I was worried because I have read reviews about this place not having table service and seating being limited. On a Sunday morning I figured would be the worst time to give it a try but here we were. We arrived about 9am and to our surprise, no line and plenty of seating. Ordering is counter service as stated. We had plenty of time to sit and look at the menu before ordering. The food sounded great on paper and I was hopeful it tasted great too. I ordered the lucky clucker and my husband had the ranch hand. I also got a biscuit on the side for later and beignets. The BEIGNETS... good lord, take me to fried dough with lemon curd dipping sauce HEAVEN! Both of our meals were huge. The chicken was amazing and the gravy is seasoned to perfection. I ordered the biscuit on the side because the one in the meal gets lost in the sauce so to speak. I assure you, the biscuit by itself was the real deal. Coffee is self serve and limited to cream and sugar but this isn't the Cascade Coffee Station. Bussing your table is also the expectation. I will say that the place was hopping with a line out the door by 10:15 so plan your visit accordingly. Seriously delicious eats!

We had a really great breakfast at Cascade biscuit kitchen. The beignets were super good... I've never had them before and I am definitely a fan. We also got the mother Clucker, which is egg, biscuit, gravy, bacon and fried chicken. Very good.

Service was nice, friendly and they are keeping the place clean and inviting. Downtown Springfield could use a new breakfast /brunch place and I was glad to see them opening. Unfortunately I was not impressed by the food I ordered. I was in the mood for biscuit and gravy and ordered the Lucky Clucker. Honestly the only thing it had going for it was its size, an enormous biscuit drowning in white gravy with thick pieces of fried chicken, a slice of thick bacon and a sunny side up egg on top. It looked very appetizing. But, the gravy was flavorless even when I added a dosing of black pepper and some salt to it. It simply had too much flour to it to be tasteful, it was pasty in my mouth without flavoring. There was so little sausage in it that my tastebuds did not pick up on it at all. The biscuit itself was baked right, doughy and puffy. The fried chicken was off as well, very bland and over- cooked, not pleasant, quite tough. The breading was okay but had a weird flavor to it. Like it had been fried some time ago and received a second short frying right before serving.... Bacon was thick and smelled good, but again, it tasted like it was old and more jerky than crips bacon. The egg was done perfectly. The egg was also the only thing that came out hot, the other parts of the meal were lukewarm so the gravy was congealed which did not help it at all. We had to try the beignets, as I read multiple reviews that they were good. Indeed, they were good. We had three and the outside was nice and crispy, light and airy on the inside. Just like the ones in New Orleans. The lemon curd served with it was delicious. But again, they were NOT hot at all, just warm. I really wished I could leave a better review but the food will have to pick up flavor and temperature to deserve more stars, IMO

Delicious beignets! The lemon dipping sauce elevated it. I tasted the biscuits and gravy and that was excellent as well! You order at the register and they bring your food to your table. Friendly service, I plan to return soon.

Yellow Glow, there is 2 large sausages and 2 pieces of bacon under the eggs. Served with real maple syrup. The bacon was very thick.

Fast service, the place looked clean, on the smaller side, but still roomy. Our 1st time there, I ordered a Yellow Glow, from the menu. It was good, but way more than I could eat. Next time I will probably order a couple things ala-cart. My husband ordered waffles and a half order of biscuits and gravy. He said it's really good, but the gravy was over kill on the black pepper. I tasted and felt the same way about the pepper.

I think this place could be excellent, however, I thought my experience overall was okay. First it's self serve, your order at the counter, get your own water/drinks, grab your own seat, and silverware and napkins are at your table along with salt pepper and some hot sauce. Im okay with this but I thought our container that held our silverware looked dirty. Second, when ordering I was informed that the eggs are cooked in the oven. I don't think they have an actual stove top. Eggs come sunny side up only. My wife is not a fan of super runny eggs. The order taker said she could cook them so the whites are fully set. I think that's should be standard as whites are not meant to be runny. So you're not able to get a different style egg. Third, while I did feel the food quality was good most everything needed salt badly. The need to season better to begin with. Fourth, most of my food was lukewarm warm at best. I did notice that someone in the back assembles the plates except the eggs and the plates sit under a small heat lamp that did not appear to cover all our plates. They were waiting for the oven cooked eggs which come out last. Finally, everyone was friendly and staff seemed happy. I didn't experience a long wait as mentioned by others but it was empty on our arrival. Not sure if it was enough for me to return.

It's a smaller intimate setting and you order at the front before you get a table. Most of the staff were friendly. The chicken was seasoned nicely and came out fresh. The sausage gravy was cold as well as the biscuit which was frustrating and the grits came out cold as well. I will say the flavors were good though. So so good! Flavor explosion for sure!! My partner is big on biscuits and gravy and I think we found his new favorite spot! Cannot wait to try the beignets! Be mindful it's a small area and can be considered rude by others if you're talking full volume. Came in on a Thursday morning around 10am not busy at all was actually nice having the place to ourselves with a baby. We started devouring before I even thought to take a picture. We will be back!!! Environment- order at the counters and bus your own tables. Coffee and water is self serve but ofc you must pay for the coffee. Friendly all gender bathrooms are set up in a unique way. I am surprised that this place doesn't have all five star reviews. The food is great. It's been so busy that there is a wait time, maybe that's why people aren't giving five stars. I have been here twice and loved it both times. I had an oyster poboy both times. They also have really good hot sauce and pepper sauce. My side kick had the biscuits and gravy Cascade dish and it was great. Very nice staff and nice atmosphere. Great addition to the Washburne. read more

Biscuits big, dry, and tasteless. Gravy, pasty and had too much flour or not enough milk. The taste was ''ok'', not the best and not the worst. Chicken Fried Steak just the same old run of the mill, from a bag, frozen and deep fried. Hashbrowns...(they are callled something else on the menu)...yuk. Sticky and mushy. Price? Too much. Eggs were baked and the best thing on the plate. You have to get your own water and coffee, and order at the counter, so service? Nope. Ambiance, not really. read more

Lovely little place with a great layout. Menus up front, order when ready. Self-serve coffee pot. Best biscuits I've had in Oregon, for sure. Price was reasonable; not cheap, but not exorbitant. The only drawback is that I have to drive to Springfield for it. Worth every minute read more

Wanted to review this as a breakfast place. I was WRONG. Took beloved bride here today for brunch. Like most non-morning people, after the 3rd cup of coffee, blasting "It's a Small World" (her least favorite musical piece) and igniting her underwear... I finally got her into the car. We both miss Springfield after our move to Eugene. We have our favorites, and going someplace else isn't always an easy sell... but the reviews here were VERY convincing. A couple of Sunday brunch time notes... there is no host(ess) so you need to grab a menu from up front. Nobody will seat you... so snag a table with your menu and plan your repast. The menu -- Southern with a great set of choices. We started off with coffee and beignets. Crisp, light as air, flavorful and buried in powdered sugar. Coffee is pour your own into (smaller) coffee cups (not mugs) at the front. They have sugar, but if you do sweetener - know to bring your own. Great coffee - hot and flavorful. Bride got chicken and waffles. She swooned. 3 pieces of crisp, fried chicken, a thigh and 2 drumsticks. Moist, hot and crunchy. She did not share. The waffle was light, had malt/sugar crunchies in the batter and came with butter and syrup. This she allowed me a bite. She growled at me when I looked at her plate. I don't blame her. I love her madly, and she DID gift me her two sunny side up eggs. Spectacular! As for me -- I ordered the Hangover. A large batch of O'Brien potatoes with double onions, red pepper (cooked through), sliced bacon chunks (more on this later) and pimento cheese. This came with 2 (more) eggs sunny side up. After 7 years on the road throughout the USA, THIS struck me as about as authentic as I've had in the Southeast. Nothing was greasy. Nothing sat around. Everything came out of the kitchen HOT an Steaming. I did my human best to eat what was on my plate, and as a man down 75 pounds from last year or so, I feel like I may have put much of it back on. I brought almost half back home. It's now a quarter before eight in the evening and I still am thinking that dinner won't happen for me tonight. A quick note on service. There were two youngish men behind the counter (cooking, serving and running the till), a lady who appeared on occasion and that was it. Service was polite, attentive and made beloved bride and I feel very much at home. There are about 8 or 9 tables, and about half were full. Nobody seemed impatient, starved or waiting for kitchen attention. I asked for a couple pieces of bacon (after having paid already) and was given them. The bacon was thick as my heavy belt, cooked through and FLAT -- about 9 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. I'd make a trip JUST for the bacon. I tripled the tip and tossed that into the tip jar. Food wasn't cheap, but we got huge portions, high quality and togo boxes. We now know where to take our friends after church. read more

Amazing biscuits and gravy. Some of the best I've ever had. The people leaving poor reviews about the wait times are obviously used to immediate gratification. This place is small and obviously the community is excited to have what they are serving up! Hope they continue to serve up the amazing food and service we experienced when there! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!! Currently sitting in this restaurant extremely frustrated. We were so excited to come here, unfortunately upon arrival we were told they were out of the fried green tomatoes. Then when I ordered the crab cake breakfast- the reason I came in the first place - I was told "oh we're not doing that anymore!" even though it's still on the menu. I ordered a side of grits with a side of shrimp but the cashier didn't understand that I actually wanted the shrimp nor did she give me a coffee cup for the coffee I requested and paid for. We had the beignets that were actually hot and tasty but no plates were delivered with them so there was a powdered sugar mess all over our table. Our food arrived cold and inedible. The eggs were "over easy" = uncooked and watery and the scrambled eggs were more like a rubber chicken that my dog chews on. The potatoes were so spicy and salty that they were also inedible. Before you come here you should know it's one of those order at the bar kind of places so know what you want before you arrive. The workers here are nice but absolutely no help. Good luck. This place is a total joke, I'd actually rather eat at Denny's which I have never done. Zero stars in my opinion but Yelp requires at least one. read more

Not impressed. Service no, food meh, abundance of salt maybe I'm just salty but for the price and quality I'll go next door to Tavern on Main any day. Stay away from the Bayou it was dry and weird and not good, the Ranch hand was decent but so salty. read more

How this place got 4.2 stars is unbelievable. Placed orders for 2, including eggs. Asked for eggs over medium. The cook held up a skillet with 2 eggs in process and asked how, since they cook them in the oven. I said, "flip them over??". This should have been my first clue. Breakfast included bacon and sausage, eggs, and a biscuit with gravy. The gravy was so incredibly salty, it was inedible. Tried the biscuit without gravy. Also, beyond salty. The bacon did not taste like it had been smoked as bacon is. I just tasted like baked, very thick, sliced side pork. I bought some just like it at Costco the week before. No seasoning to it. The sausage link and coffee was fine. I will not be returning. read more

We tried this place after reading the Eugene Foodies FB posts about it. Cascade Biscuit Kitchen was awesome! The menu leans Southern with biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles, beignets, catfish Po' Boys and fried green tomatoes, with lots of other yummy choices. They make their own delicious pimento cheese! Service was super friendly and efficient. I almost hesitate to write this review because with food and service like this, we know this restaurant will take off and get more crowded. Can't wait to go back! read more

This place has potential to be good with the portion sizes they serve you. Restaurant is a nice cute hole in the wall type of place. My concern is with the food they served us it was all cold. Luke warm would have been nice but it was cold:( this is not a place I would recommend any of my friends and family to stop at. read more

WTF...This place is about as organized as a soup sandwich!! Extremely salty potatoes, forgot my biscuit (gave me one that wasn't even warm enough to melt butter after I had to wait in line again to tell them they forgot it), cold corn beef hash, forgot my wife's coffee, extremely undercooked eggs. Everything about this place sucked. The only thing that works here is their flippin cash register, which by the way, you'll regret tipping at the time of purchase. Save your hard earned money and spend it someplace that GAF about the details and what they are selling. Pro tip: If you do decide to risk spending your money here, be sure to call and see if they have what you are interested in trying. They were out of 3 major items on their menu on a slow Sunday. Really incredible menu. Biscuits are not dry and tasteless like many other restaurants, but rather fluffy and light. The gravy is next level, and I really like that they use good ingredients, like organic maple syrup. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick and helpful. The restaurant itself feels like a Time Machine back to the 1950's, and it couldn't be cozier if it tried. This place is probably on my top five restaurants in Eugene/Springfield. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes savory breakfast food. read more

Awful food. Awful service. The "biscuits" are bisquik drop biscuits that are poorly done. There was only one person working when I went and to say she was unfriendly is an understatement. The food was cold when I got it which is perplexing to me. The side biscuits I ordered to try and see if it was good without all the toppings and nope it wasn't ir was served cold as in it'd been refrigerated and thrown on to a plate with runny butter and jam...I could understand the butter being runny had it been a warm biscuit but that was not the case which ffurthers my suspicion that this place is food poisoning waiting to happen. All the positive reviews either went when the owner was working and was served go9d f9od because from what I see it's either that or they're layong for reviews or making spam accounts cause the few real reviews I've seen were all negative...... read more

Despite charging customers more for using a credit card, the menu only lists one price for each item. When ordering, the screen displays both "cash" and "non-cash" totals at the bottom. "Non-cash" prices and a notice about those price differences should be clearly stated on the menu and not provided as a subtle surprise to the person placing the order. read more

Didn't get to try, arrived 25 mins before closing, grabbed some menus and sat down to decide on items, another couple minutes prior ordered, before we could even order we were told "if you want anything, you will need to get it to go!", which was not how we planned our meal to be at that moment. The staff was amazing, very nice and friendly. The seating is chaotic to say the least. You first place your order and thence hope to find a seat/table available afterward. Which the seating is very very limited. The portion size are large, but the food was so bland, not even a touch of seasoning on anything. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy, and the gravy was terrible. All we could taste was flour. the biscuits were so dry and tasted like they just used bisquick for the mixture. I was hoping for a variety of biscuits since biscuits is in the name of the restaurant. Maybe a savory and sweet biscuit. I did enjoy the homemade jam, and I did like that the eggs are served sunny side up. read more

The food tastes great. We have been a couple of times in the last month. The only challenge for the food prep is keeping everything hot when served. Both times this was unsuccessful in being accomplished. You should definitely give it a try! The gravy and thick cut bacon with the fluffy biscuits are great. read more

We ordered the basic breakfast trying to be safe because we'd never been here before. Biscuits were good, eggs good, but the country potatoes were actually hashbrowns smothered in pimento cheese and the bacon which is a really thick cut, was barely cooked it so it was a slab of fat. Super disappointing. Won't go back. read more

Overall, this is a delightful little place for breakfast. We came at a little after 9:00 on a Saturday and it hadn't picked up, yet, so it was easy to find a seat and our orders arrived quickly. The flavor of everything was very good, although it was a little too salty (I am a fan of salt, and it was still too salty for me). I sent my potatoes back to be warmed up because they were too cold, and I would have also preferred the biscuits and gravy to be a little warmer. We added an order of beignets and they were doughy, but we still enjoyed them. The lemon curd that comes with was excellent. read more

We were told they also own the Zingaro food truck, but it had been out of commission so he purchased the Iscream for Waffles. Well it makes perfect sense now why I see such creative food on the menu. Not that there wasn't before. But the people who owned Zingaro had such great food, and also had creative menu items at the tap house next to Cornucopia when they were there. I do wonder if they run the Yelp. The reviews on here seem outdated. How ever they are pretty current with their social media on Instagram, and Facebook. They have updated hours, and menu items weekly, as well as more than one location. They are in Eugene again, so you don't have to drive all the way out to Veneta. I how ever am pleased to have them here.

I believe it's just offered for this month, but I'd happily try their other offerings. The flavors were balanced, it was a good portion, it was hit, fresh ingredients. The Dubai brownie and hot chocolate were also excellent. Rich, chocolate Lu, everything you want. They make the pistachio sauce for the hot chocolate in house from what I was told, and i could taste it. Adding a couple nice espresso shots would make an amazing mocha too. They have a pretty extensive list of Dubai items, so if you haven't tried it or you love it they have a great selection from cookies and cheesecakes to strawberry cups and the hot chocolate. It's set in the 5th street public market, a couple chairs and tables around. When it's busy it might be hard to find a seat, but it's a neat location and easy to take to go. Running out of most featured items on a fixed-price holiday menu shows a lack of preparation. The most frustrating part was the pricing. We were charged $75 per person (plus drinks) for food that was cold, incorrect, and incomplete. Charging premium holiday pricing requires premium execution. That standard was not met. we did receive one free drink for our excessive wait time. She also advised that she would add an additional discount for the fact that they didn't have multiple menu items. However, when we were given our bill, it was for $100 per person. Given our drink was $15 there was no discount and they actually tried to charge us more than what was stated on the menu. Valentine's Day is meant to feel thoughtful and memorable. Unfortunately, this felt disorganized and overpriced for what was delivered. We left disappointed and would not have chosen to dine here had we known this would be the experience. Definitely will not go back.
