Be mindful it's a small area and can be considered rude by others if you're talking full volume. Came in on a Thursday morning around 10am not busy at all was actually nice having the place to ourselves with a baby. We started devouring before I even thought to take a picture. We will be back!!! Biscuits big, dry, and tasteless. Gravy, pasty and had too much flour or not enough milk. The taste was ''ok'', not the best and not the worst. Chicken Fried Steak just the same old run of the mill, from a bag, frozen and deep fried. Hashbrowns...(they are callled something else on the menu)...yuk. Sticky and mushy. Price? Too much. I am surprised that this place doesn't have all five star reviews. The food is great. It's been so busy that there is a wait time, maybe that's why people aren't giving five stars. I have been here twice and loved it both times. I had an oyster poboy both times. They also have really good hot sauce and pepper sauce. Wanted to review this as a breakfast place. I was WRONG. Took beloved bride here today for brunch. Like most non-morning people, after the 3rd cup of coffee, blasting "It's a Small World" (her least favorite musical piece) and igniting her underwear... I finally got her into the car. We both miss Springfield after our move to Eugene. We have our favorites, and going someplace else isn't always an easy sell... but the reviews here were VERY convincing. A couple of Sunday brunch time notes... there is no host(ess) so you need to grab a menu from up front. Nobody will seat you... so snag a table with your menu and plan your repast. The menu -- Southern with a great set of choices. We started off with coffee and beignets. Crisp, light as air, flavorful and buried in powdered sugar. Coffee is pour your own into (smaller) coffee cups (not mugs) at the front. They have sugar, but if you do sweetener - know to bring your own. Great coffee - hot and flavorful. Bride got chicken and waffles. She swooned. 3 pieces of crisp, fried chicken, a thigh and 2 drumsticks. Moist, hot and crunchy. She did not share. The waffle was light, had malt/sugar crunchies in the batter and came with butter and syrup. This she allowed me a bite. She growled at me when I looked at her plate. I don't blame her. I love her madly, and she DID gift me her two sunny side up eggs. Spectacular! As for me -- I ordered the Hangover. A large batch of O'Brien potatoes with double onions, red pepper (cooked through), sliced bacon chunks (more on this later) and pimento cheese. This came with 2 (more) eggs sunny side up. After 7 years on the road throughout the USA, THIS struck me as about as authentic as I've had in the Southeast. Nothing was greasy. Nothing sat around. Everything came out of the kitchen HOT an Steaming. I did my human best to eat what was on my plate, and as a man down 75 pounds from last year or so, I feel like I may have put much of it back on. I brought almost half back home. It's now a quarter before eight in the evening and I still am thinking that dinner won't happen for me tonight. A quick note on service. There were two youngish men behind the counter (cooking, serving and running the till), a lady who appeared on occasion and that was it. Service was polite, attentive and made beloved bride and I feel very much at home. There are about 8 or 9 tables, and about half were full. Nobody seemed impatient, starved or waiting for kitchen attention. I asked for a couple pieces of bacon (after having paid already) and was given them. The bacon was thick as my heavy belt, cooked through and FLAT -- about 9 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. I'd make a trip JUST for the bacon. I tripled the tip and tossed that into the tip jar. Food wasn't cheap, but we got huge portions, high quality and togo boxes. We now know where to take our friends after church. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!! Currently sitting in this restaurant extremely frustrated. We were so excited to come here, unfortunately upon arrival we were told they were out of the fried green tomatoes. Then when I ordered the crab cake breakfast- the reason I came in the first place - I was told "oh we're not doing that anymore!" even though it's still on the menu. I ordered a side of grits with a side of shrimp but the cashier didn't understand that I actually wanted the shrimp nor did she give me a coffee cup for the coffee I requested and paid for. We had the beignets that were actually hot and tasty but no plates were delivered with them so there was a powdered sugar mess all over our table. Our food arrived cold and inedible. The eggs were "over easy" = uncooked and watery and the scrambled eggs were more like a rubber chicken that my dog chews on. The potatoes were so spicy and salty that they were also inedible. Before you come here you should know it's one of those order at the bar kind of places so know what you want before you arrive. The workers here are nice but absolutely no help. Good luck. This place is a total joke, I'd actually rather eat at Denny's which I have never done. Zero stars in my opinion but Yelp requires at least one. read more

How this place got 4.2 stars is unbelievable. Placed orders for 2, including eggs. Asked for eggs over medium. The cook held up a skillet with 2 eggs in process and asked how, since they cook them in the oven. I said, "flip them over??". This should have been my first clue. Breakfast included bacon and sausage, eggs, and a biscuit with gravy. The gravy was so incredibly salty, it was inedible. Tried the biscuit without gravy. Also, beyond salty. The bacon did not taste like it had been smoked as bacon is. I just tasted like baked, very thick, sliced side pork. I bought some just like it at Costco the week before. No seasoning to it. This place has potential to be good with the portion sizes they serve you. Restaurant is a nice cute hole in the wall type of place. My concern is with the food they served us it was all cold. We tried this place after reading the Eugene Foodies FB posts about it. Cascade Biscuit Kitchen was awesome! The menu leans Southern with biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles, beignets, catfish Po' Boys and fried green tomatoes, with lots of other yummy choices. They make their own delicious pimento cheese! Service was super friendly and efficient. I almost hesitate to write this review because with food and service like this, we know this restaurant will take off and get more crowded. Can't wait to go back! read more

WTF...This place is about as organized as a soup sandwich!! Extremely salty potatoes, forgot my biscuit (gave me one that wasn't even warm enough to melt butter after I had to wait in line again to tell them they forgot it), cold corn beef hash, forgot my wife's coffee, extremely undercooked eggs. Everything about this place sucked. The only thing that works here is their flippin cash register, which by the way, you'll regret tipping at the time of purchase. The food was cold when I got it which is perplexing to me. The side biscuits I ordered to try and see if it was good without all the toppings and nope it wasn't ir was served cold as in it'd been refrigerated and thrown on to a plate with runny butter and jam...I could understand the butter being runny had it been a warm biscuit but that was not the case which ffurthers my suspicion that this place is food poisoning waiting to happen. Despite charging customers more for using a credit card, the menu only lists one price for each item. When ordering, the screen displays both "cash" and "non-cash" totals at the bottom. "Non-cash" prices and a notice about those price differences should be clearly stated on the menu and not provided as a subtle surprise to the person placing the order. read more

Really incredible menu. Biscuits are not dry and tasteless like many other restaurants, but rather fluffy and light. The gravy is next level, and I really like that they use good ingredients, like organic maple syrup. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick and helpful. The restaurant itself feels like a Time Machine back to the 1950's, and it couldn't be cozier if it tried. This place is probably on my top five restaurants in Eugene/Springfield. The staff was amazing, very nice and friendly. The seating is chaotic to say the least. You first place your order and thence hope to find a seat/table available afterward. Which the seating is very very limited. The portion size are large, but the food was so bland, not even a touch of seasoning on anything. My husband ordered the biscuits and gravy, and the gravy was terrible. All we could taste was flour. the biscuits were so dry and tasted like they just used bisquick for the mixture. I was hoping for a variety of biscuits since biscuits is in the name of the restaurant. Maybe a savory and sweet biscuit. Biscuits were good, eggs good, but the country potatoes were actually hashbrowns smothered in pimento cheese and the bacon which is a really thick cut, was barely cooked it so it was a slab of fat. Overall, this is a delightful little place for breakfast. We came at a little after 9:00 on a Saturday and it hadn't picked up, yet, so it was easy to find a seat and our orders arrived quickly. The flavor of everything was very good, although it was a little too salty (I am a fan of salt, and it was still too salty for me). I sent my potatoes back to be warmed up because they were too cold, and I would have also preferred the biscuits and gravy to be a little warmer.
