This review has been a long time coming. These guys are simply put, the best I've ever had the pleasure of working with when it comes to my plumbing needs. To date, they have: 1) Replaced the kitchen sink piping and installed a new garbage disposal 2) Cleared my house-to-mainline piping twice (once with camera to show the reason beyond the blockage which was tree roots) 3) Replaced and installed both toilets 4) Broke concrete and replaced the piping and drain underneath one of our showers Each and every time they were extremely conscientious, careful, extremely thorough, and were extremely patient in explaining exactly what was going on, what my options were, and why they were recommending a specific course of action. They also were clear and honest about the pricing involved with each option, no padded fees or surprises, just straightforward honest, out-the-door pricing. We have an Asian household and they were kind enough to wear plastic bags over their boots to prevent carpet soiling and made sure that any and all residual dirt or grime that might have occurred during installation was cleaned meticulously. I requested Castaneda Plumbing to come hydro-jet my main sewer line. They came on time did the job efficiently and did not try to sell me a 12-20k liner. These guys do honest work and do not try scam or up sell you. That being said I appreciate the upfront pricing which was not the cheapest and was by far not the most expensive. Castaneda's came out quickly and replaced the main line from the street to our house, but now I'm having brick work done and the contractor pointed out that piping to code needs to be 12 inches below ground. Our pipe was only 4-8 inches deep. So now we're having to fix that. read more

City shut off my water because my water main was leaking. It turned out I had disintegrated galvanized plumbing on day one of home ownership. Called a few companies to get an estimate on fixing a gas leak and they offered the best price and was able to get the job done quick. only reason I'm giving a 4 star rating is that they focused more on the speed of the job getting done that they started burying the line they installed before even pressure testing and running wires for detection. Scheduled Service Date (10OCT24): My wife called on 09OCT24 and received a quote for hydrojetting the main sewer line. I also got a separate yelp estimate from the same business describing the job details (treeroots in main sewer line, within 100 ft of the street, access point in front yard, etc) and was quoted the same price. Technician came out and said the job was double the initial quote. We couldn't settle on the final price and ended the transaction. I later received a call from the owner (Jose) and he apologized for the price discrepancy. He pointed to miscommunication between the office and technician for the error. Jose held himself and his team accountable for the error and offered to make this right by personally coming and hydrojetting my sewer line at significantly less than the initial quote. Jose was meticulous in his work and made sure that every last root was removed from sewer line. He was transparent and debriefed me on the progress every step of the way. I reached out to Castaneda's after my husband and I couldn't complete some diy projects in our very old and rusted, but recently purchased condo.
