The food also deserves high praise (5 stars). Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and seasoned expertly. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but the food quality almost justifies the cost. However, the dining experience was severely hampered by several key issues. First, the dress code is advertised as business casual, but this seems to be a suggestion rather than a rule. We saw multiple people wearing baseball caps and street clothes, which clashed with the supposed upscale vibe. This wouldn't be a huge deal if it were just one or two people, but it was a noticeable number, making the whole place feel less refined. (0 Stars) The biggest problem was the ambiance (0 stars). The music was completely off-kilter and did not match the intended atmosphere at all. Walking in, the noise level was shockingly loud and uncomfortable. It felt more like a crowded Popeyes than a high-end restaurant. The din of conversations was overwhelming, making it difficult to hear the person across the small table from me. Speaking of the table, it was ridiculously small. We had to precariously balance our drinks on the very edge to make room for our plates. Overall, Catch Dallas was a major disappointment. The chaotic and unpleasant atmosphere overshadows the beautiful decor and delicious food. It felt overpriced and highly overhyped. While the food and decor deserve high marks, the overall experience was subpar. I wouldn't recommend it unless they drastically improve the ambiance, make sure the music matches the environment, get better tables, and enforce some semblance of a dress code. I recently dined at Catch and was appalled by the blatant discrimination in their valet service. When I pulled up in my luxury SUV, I was offered three outrageous parking options: $50, $100, or $150. Confused but left with no real choice, I reluctantly paid the $50. However, during dinner, my friends and I discussed it, and their reactions said it all--shock and disbelief. Across the street at Nick and Sam's, valet parking is handled with integrity, and you simply tip. To make matters worse, I later learned that Catch's valet doesn't even typically charge $50--meaning they deliberately overcharged me based on the car I arrived in. When I confronted the valet attendants about this clear price gouging, they were visibly caught off guard, completely speechless, and had no explanation. Since they already had my money, I had no recourse except writing this review to warn others. Adding insult to injury, I noticed my wheel caps were missing after leaving. While I can't prove they were stolen, given the dishonest nature of this valet operation, it wouldn't be far-fetched to assume foul play. This is unacceptable for a high-end restaurant that prides itself on luxury. Catch should be ashamed of associating with such a dishonest valet service. This kind of practice reflects poorly on the entire establishment, and I will absolutely never be returning. If you plan to dine here, I strongly advise against using their valet unless you want to be overcharged, deceived, and possibly have parts of your car go missing. read more

Catch Dallas - A Top-Notch Date Night Spot We went to Catch Dallas for a Saturday night date, and from start to finish, it was an incredible experience. We valet parked with no issues, and as soon as we stepped inside, we were impressed by the beautiful ambiance and lively vibe. Our waiter was knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. We ordered a variety of dishes--mostly sushi--and every single one was flawless. Honestly, it was some of the best sushi I've had this year. The fried rice was packed with flavor, and the sushi pizza and calamari were both hits. We tried several dishes, and each one was a 10/10--no complaints at all. The drinks were also well-crafted and matched the upscale vibe of the restaurant. The bar was nice, and the second floor is absolutely beautiful. I've heard great things about their Sunday brunch, so I'm already thinking about going back to try it. The only downside for me was the bathroom--it's quite small and a bit too dark for my taste. When we arrived for our 6pm reservation, the hostess at the front desk was incredibly rude. She refused to seat us until the last two members of our party arrived, even though we were on time. After finally being seated and receiving our drinks, the same hostess returned to ask us to move to a different booth, claiming the baby seat was in the way. This was frustrating, as it's something that could have been addressed when we were initially seated. Her attitude and lack of consideration really soured our evening. While the food was excellent, the service left much to be desired. Gave it 4 stars because of the food and ambiance. We've been to the NYC location and frequent the Vegas location. Catch Vegas is one of our favorite restaurants. I would have to say that the Dallas location still has a long ways to go with their service. Definitely need to work on getting the food and drinks out faster. Our waiter was friendly and welcoming, but the service was very slow. Food and drinks took awhile to come out. I will give them a chance since they just opened. We will probably give it a few more months until we return. Hopefully they can get the staff fully trained with time and get their processes up to speed. read more
