Dinner on a Friday evening. Food was good, high quality and tasty. However, service was below par. Water glass remained empty for ten minutes. (That should never happen at a supposedly high end restaurant and is a reflection on management and not wait staff) . Biggest issue is that appetizer, salad and entree all were served in quick succession. Not halfway through the salad our hot main entrees were brought to the table. Not even any room to put them. I guess that's ok if you are having sushi but not a good idea when being served hot entrees. Maybe twenty minutes from when we ordered we had been brought all three courses. No quality meal with multiple courses should have all your food served within 20 minutes. At Taco Bell I expect to be in and out in less than 45 minutes, but never at a fine dining establishment. What made it worse is that the server wanted all our courses ordered at once, and explained to Us that she would make sure that the food was spaced out appropriately. Once that didn't happen, someone else explained that they bring out all the food as its ready. Pick one story and stick with it. Food was excellent, and they brought the entrees back out a bit later when we were done with our appetizer and salad, but the dining experience was poor. I only leave reviews about 1% of the time, and I dislike leaving negative reviews, but expected better here. read more

Finally made it here after wanting to go for years! Being from LA I have heard about Catch so much and glad I finally got to try it. I was afraid of it being overhyped, but everything we ordered did not disappoint. The entrance is so cute and of course had to take a lot of pics. We started with the crispy shrimp which had the perfect sauce. I shared the Porterhouse and the char was perfect and the meat was juicy. The Lobster mac was so good too. The parm truffle fries and the sauce that came with it were addicting. The cocktail was okay, a little sour for my taste. We stopped by this past Friday night and thought we'd see if we could get a seat at the bar for a quick bite since we didn't have a reservation. They were really busy and at first the only seats available were two cocktail seating off to the side (there were three of us). We made sure that it was ok and not a fire hazard if we were to push the chairs together. However, shortly after we got our drinks, Eduardo the bartender came and told us he had 3 seats up top for us! My friends and I are from the hospitality industry so we often joke and say if someone or some place is "Forbes level service". And let me tell you, this place is amazing. Eduardo, Steve, and Nash hands down made our evening and our first time at Catch unforgettable. Everything they recommended tasted fantastic and we would've ordered the whole menu if we could've, but our favorite was the crispy shrimp and hellfire roll. For drinks I had ordered the detox retox. We had some light bites for dinner, and everything was STELLAR and bursting with complex flavors, from the miso cod lettuce wraps to the sushi rolls and skewers. Unfortunately, the miso cod lettuce wrap had some bones in it, and we flagged the manager to inform him. Ed was very apologetic and extremely accommodating. He suggested we try some sushi rolls, specifically the Hellfire and Vegetarian roll. The most impressive was the VEGETARIAN roll: King Oyster Mushroom, Cashew, Spicy Miso. Disappointing Start and Confusing, Inconsistent Menus Made a reservation for 8:45 PM at Catch and arrived a bit early to check in around 8:30 PM. We were told it would just be a few minutes. By 8:55 PM, we checked in again and were then told our table wasn't ready. We finally received a text at 9:11 PM saying our seats were ready, but even then, we still had to wait an additional 10 minutes before actually being seated. The issues didn't stop there. Once we were seated, we were given two completely different menus. Not only were they different in appearance, but one menu actually listed items that were entirely absent from the other. This made ordering incredibly confusing and made us wonder about the consistency and attention to detail in the restaurant. While I'm hoping the food and service eventually managed to redeem the experience, the significant delay in being seated well past our reservation time, coupled with the bizarre inconsistency in the menus, was a major disappointment. For a restaurant of Catch's reputation and price point in Las Vegas, this was frankly unacceptable. Music was to noisy I could not hear my server. Food was good we come here at least 5-8 times a year and never had problems until now. I get it gets busy but as a host you are responsible to let your guest that are standing in front of you know updates, if they are checking in with you at the time you told them you cannot get mad. We looked so forward to dining here, it's a beautiful place and the food was exceptional. However, It's a shame we received the worst service ever. We were in Vegas for the weekend and we decided to try CATCH for the first time. We had a reservation for May 17 at 6:45 pm. The minute we were sat down, the waiter didn't welcome or greet us but I didn't think anything of it. We noticed he somewhat had a serious demeanor because he didn't really interact with us. He also didn't check on us, the only time he would come was when we would order something. Then I saw him joking and laughing with another waiter, which I thought was really weird because he couldn't even give us the same attention, Anyways, we ordered our entrees and my mom ordered grilled asparagus on the side. When our food arrived, they gave us brussel sprouts instead. We let our waiter know and he nonchalantly said something like "I thought you said brussel sprouts, I'll get the asparagus for you." No apologies or anything. He gave us the asparagus no charge which was the nicest thing he did. Like I said, the food was delicious and we had no other problems regarding the food. Once we were done, he came over and gave us the bill. Mind you, we let him know we wanted to split the bill from the beginning. But he gave us one receipt. We reminded him that we would like to split the bill. I just want to say that I have been so patient the whole time, and tried to not let the subpar service dampen the night, but this was when I started getting annoyed. Instead of going to the computer and splitting the bill for us like anyone would expect, HE HANDED US A PEN and told us to put a number next to the items that were ours! We literally had to do his job for him. I have NEVER had an experience like this and It gets worse. When it was time for us to pay, he handed us the card reader and told us to pass it around and LEFT. It was a little confusing to the point where we had to flag down another waiter for help. I came here to eat, not do math! From my experiences, the waiter stays and holds the card reader and you hand them your card. Instead of taking 1 minute to pay, we were there longer than we should've been trying to figure out something that was our waiter's job. I don't know why we were given this treatment, but it was so unprofessional and uncalled for. I would hope that this isn't the norm for their service because I genuinely liked the food. read more

Started with the raw oysters which were delicious and fresh. Then we moved on the Catch roll and the King Roll. They sear the catch roll table side which was cool. The king roll was one of the best sushi rolls we have ever had in life. You MUST try. We then had the branzino and the wild mushrooms spaghetti. Branzino was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. The pasta was tasty as well even though it was like $22 additional dollars to add shrimp. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and there are plenty of spots for great photos. That being said, the entrance way was very narrow and packed due to everyone taking pictures so you kind of have to wiggle your way to the hostess stand. We made a reservation for a late dinner at 9:45pm but we didn't get sat until after 10:00 so we still had to wait 20 minutes before getting sat which was a little annoying. The blonde hostess at the front was very rude and seemed like she hated her job so that put a bad taste in my mouth right away. The restaurant is decorated with floral theme, the walkway into restaurant is beautiful, great spot for photos or selfies. I personally do not like ice cream for my first meal of the day, but I do enjoy the Benedict a lot -- well toasted English muffin with fresh poached egg ( running but not messy running ), salmon is fresh and juicy, the Hollandaise sauce just about right creamy and light.
