Carne asada plate. I asked for it chopped, so good!
    Varinia R.

The Mexican food here is amazing! I was in the area and saw the great reviews, so had to stop by. The staff here is super friendly and very helpful in deciding on what to get. They make their corn tortillas from scratch which is a bonus! I decided to get their carne asada plate and had them chop it up. I didn't want it as chopped as you see in the picture, but it's all good. Comes with rice, beans, grilled onions, and guac. I do wish it came with more onions since they were so good with the steak. My daughter got the taquitos and loved them. My son got a chicken torta and also loved it. They have fountain drinks, Jarritos, Mexican Coke, and even champurrado. Oh and you get complimentary chips and salsa when you dine in. This small local restaurant is next to 7/11 and it's not that big inside, but on the contrary the flavor in their food for sure is big!

My wife was craving a Mexican breakfast. We went to a few spots but she ended up preferring this place. We came in and it was a bit empty, I was a little worried but we decided to stay. She ordered the chilaquiles and a Gordita on the side. I ordered a carne asada burrito. We were surprised by how good the food was. For the place being almost empty, I didn't expect such flavors! This place is definitely underrated and is a hidden gem.

If you are looking for a classic Mexican restaurant that's high quality and affordable, I'd recommend Catrina's Kitchen. LOCATION: feels like a hole in the all place, probably has around 6 tables inside and feels small but cozy at the same time. Right on Mountain and off the 10 in a very small plaza and sometimes he can be hard to miss! SERVICE: very nice staff here and great servicing overall, I ordered to go and had no issues ordering and picking up. They do charge for credit card so preferably payment is cash. FOOD: a huge forearm size burrito for $9.50, can't beat that! Very delicious and flavorful with a lot of meat. The menudo has tons of tripe and the tacos are generous which is priced around $2.5-$4. The burritos are the best part so highly recommend getting those!! Tons of variety and would love to try the carne asada fries and quesadillas next.

I've by passed this location so many times because of the location . It's next to 7/11 . The place isn't too big but bigger than expected. I took the food to go but I was definitely surprised with the quality of the tacos. I would definitely go back and try more items

All I can say is DAMN! Please run to this establishment. Do not walk. It is a very small hole in the wall place. It is very clean. The ambiance is great! I will also say the service is top notch. I got a carne asada red wet burrito. My son got al pastor green wet burrito. I had not had a burrito in over 3 years. It was one of the best I have ever had. The asada was so tender. The red sauce was spicy and flavorful! I was only able to eat 1/3 of it because it was so big. My son said it was one of the best burritos he has ever had. He was only able to eat half of the burrito. We came home in a food coma, and just kept saying how delicious the meal was. I moved to Ontario 5 months ago. We have been searching for a exceptional place since we got here. We finally found it!

Excellent salsa & a very good burrito. The location is tucked away and it's easy to miss. The service was friendly and quick. There's a small dining area but I took my burrito to go. I'd come back but it's not quite 5 stars.

    Beast of a burrito!

The best best best!!! X100 I can guarantee that no one has better burritos or Mexican items than this place. To speak of this burrito, first it's the price. The price is an affordable, $9.50. Second, the size is hugeeee way bigger than your average burrito. Third, the ingredients from every aspect, rice, beans, freshly cooked to order asada, to the salsa, onions and cilantro are topped notch flavors! It's not like some burritos where the meat is good but the rice and beans suck. This is burrito is layers of deliciousness. Do yourself a favor and give yourself love with this burrito that can easily be split for two people. Warm service and ambiance. Tell them Lalo sent you!

Fun team of waiter and waitresses. You can go and enjoy some Mariachi on Sundays from 12pm -3pm and I cannot wait to go back for another dinner date. They serve you chips and salsa while you look at the menu, no pressure. Great recommendations, the plating is appealing and the food is authentic tasting I enjoyed my chile relleno plate. There is a nice bar area, plenty of tables for a larger group if that is your choice. You can't beat that a cute little local place to enjoy a wonderful dinner!

You get large portions and worth the price IMO. The food came out in lightening speed ! Which was shocking and loved how fast we were able to eat. The only negative thing I can say about their new place is the service. The service was great but they interrupted our meal several times and I felt like we couldn't take a breath to enjoy the food. The server kept asking if we were ok but we barely got our food and we were asked several times while trying to enjoy it. Also the photographer just coming up to use while we ate. We literally took pics with food in our mouths. Everything seemed so rushed. With all the times we were asked if we were okay or needed anything no server came with a pitcher of water to refill our cups. None of them asked about our drinks either. I will be back but maybe in the day time and not the evening time. ( to see if it will be different) the owner or manager needs to tell staff to kind of chill on asking people if they are ok especially when we barely got our food and interrupted several times during the meal. Let people eat and enjoy it for a little bit before being asked like every 5 mins lol

The dining area is a very clean and comfortable. Once seated, an aji verde salsa and cancha was brought to the table. The cancha is a nice touch, the corn is crispy and light. I ordered the Pollo Saltado with an extra portion of rice and a Chicha Morada. The beverage was very refreshing. The meal came out quickly. The chicken was tender and well seasoned with soy without being too salty. There was a fair amount of onions and tomatoes which were stir-fried along with the meat. The fries were freshly made with a light crispy exterior and creamy interior to soak up the saltado sauce. The aji verde salsa was on the spicy side but tasted good as an accompaniment to the dish. There was plenty of sauce from the stir fry for the extra portion of rice I ordered. I plan on ordering the Lomo Saltado next time. The staff were polite and efficient. Plenty of parking in their lot. Definitely on the list for the next time I am in the area.

Tallarin verde con lomo- the lomo was delicious but the pasta was a little too harsh on the pesto. Still good though. Menu is limited but if you're into lomo you should give this place a try.
