My husband and I ordered cava tonight. We expected it to be as delicious as it was when ordered it a couple of days ago. Our delivery gets here we didn't get the pita we ordered which is fine. But then we started to eat our food only to find uncooked rice, lentils and burnt sweet potatoes. Picture below, not sure what's going on but this postpartum momma was very disappointed. First let me say, I LOVE CAVA!!! So good, healthy spot with delicious food. I came to this location on a Sunday afternoon in such a good mood since there isn't a cava near me. Wow. Just wow. If the staff was trying to give off "hate my job, I'm miserable and hate serving you" vibes, they 100% nailed it. Felt like I had pissed in this girls cheerios. She didn't say ONE word to me till she had to tell me they were out of lamb meatballs. She has a miserable look on her face and gave me about half the size of a normal bowl (even my friend who got a different person had a bowl more full!!) listen, nobody loves their service industry job, but to the girl who was giving me daggers just for doing her job, screw you, you ruined my experience and for what? It's really damned good, but the prices here HURT! This is Chipotle if Chipotle was Mediterranean. Get the pickled onions no matter what! I would suggest doing half veggie half rice, and going wild! Pretty Obsessed with this Place I had heard of CAVA before and figured it was just like any other fast casual restaurant with this concept. Needless to say, I was in for an nice surprise. I typically build my own bowl here to get all that I want. I like that there's no limit to how many additions you can put into your bowl. Beware that the Harissa Sauce is legit spicy. Also, the Pita Chips are freaking amazing - it's somehow both crunch and fluffy at the same time. Everything is fresh and service is always great. Five stars all the way. read more

Cava is amazing. I'm so happy there's a location nearby in Ardmore now. The food is delicious and you get tons of options. I get a huge healthy bowl for only $11! Cava is similar to Chipotle but it's Mediterranean food with a lot more options. Cava has salads and bowls -- including grilled chicken, hummus and pita, spicy lamb meatballs, and falafel. I normally get the bowl with the basmati rice, grilled chicken and tons of various vegetables (you can get as many options as you like without an additional charge). I've ordered from here twice, about a month in between and both times were excellent. The second time some of the items were not available but my order was still good. The fresh pita chips are amazing and slightly addicting. The second time was pick up and the address gave me some trouble so I walked around and didn't realize I past it the first time. But I will be back now that I found it. I got the greens and grain bowl with brown rice, lamb meatballs, and all the add ins it felt like. Portions are good sized and the drinks are great (especially the root beer!). I really love how they use to paper products for all their packaging, except their cups. Kind of like a Mediterranean Chipotle with delicious dishes. I'm a lamb lover and the one time I was there they had two distinct lamb entrees , so I was in heaven. The servers were extremely friendly and informative, explaining each dish. The was one cute server who whenever she came out of the kitchen she was clearly chewing on something, so I asked her what she was snacking on. She got this sheepish look on her face and said it was one of the lamb entrees......I said I'll have what she's eating!! Trust me, the staff is very selective. This franchise is one of my favorite fast-casual dining options. It's Mediterranean with a Chipotle-like spin to it, but there is a way better range of flavors to work with. I'm a huge fan of their falafel bowl with a base of the Supergreen salad mix. I go for the Sriracha Greek yogurt dressing, although the green Skhug is really good. I have visited this business throughout this year. Initially, I enjoyed their food. Twice (Sunday and today) this location was dirty. Serving scoops were caked with food. Today, I asked that the dirty scoops be cleaned. Wait staff refused to do so. For the second time this week, there were no clean trays available. I was told I hadn't spent enough money to warrant a clean tray. Tables were dirty. Prep area was dirty.ncounter was dirty. This location is tired of being good. The only reason for two stars is that the the food had the potential to be very good. What should have been hot was not. It was instead soggy. The rice was hard from sitting out. The service was awful. It was an hour before closing, and there were at least five employees working. The staff seemed more than disinterested in the customers. Food was slapped into the bowl. I had told the server that it was my first time there. I was hoping for some guidance, and instead I got eye rolling. My questions were treated as if I were a child. When I got to the end, all that was left was to get salad dressing. Someone picking up an order, said something was missing. My bowl was unceremoniously dropped on the counter, and the server left to help that person. After standing there, I said, "Can somebody finish putting dressing on my bowl?" Someone did, and the covered bowl was slapped down by the register. Not put down, but slapped down. My husband has been to the same Cava during lunchtime, and said a different serving crew made a huge difference. We could not wait to get out of there, and I am not anxious to return. I'm just writing to let you know of our disappointment at the service we received at the Suburban Square CAVA outside of Philadelphia PA. First of All-- there was no way to call in an order. I only tried to call in an order because after going through all the hassle of trying to order online-- it didn't work. I wasn't able to place my order. And then-- if I wanted to place an order-- I had to give all of my information like email, phone number and birthday. I was uncomfortable doing that but did it anyway in order to buy some food. So now CAVA has my personal information but I was still unable to order the food I wanted for my husband and me. My daughter-in-law had the same problem. We were ordering separately and my son was going to pick up our orders of food. SO-- we could not order online or on the phone so my son ordered when he got there. He left his 8 1/2 month pregnant wife and 3 year old in the car while he went in to order the food and wait. (They were on their way back from the zoo.) He placed 3 orders (all he had left was one more order) and when he said he had one more order the woman taking his order turned surly, said he was ordering too much food and told him he had to get at the back of the line. She forced him to go to the end of the line and wait again to place the last order! Meanwhile-- his wife and son sat in the car. He would have left at that point but then they wouldn't have food to eat and he'd have to start all over again somewhere else... His wife needed to eat-- as did the 3 year old. When they got back to our home to eat-- the food was okay except they left off about 4-5 ingredients I wanted on my pita-- including hummus and eggplant dip. The pitas everyone received with their meals were as hard as rocks. I understand we have all been going through hard times and the restaurant business has been slammed. I want to be sensitive to that. And it is for that reason we try to support local businesses through buying food. But this is a takeaway set up and it is designed for pandemic conditions. How someone could go to a restaurant to buy food and be told they are ordering too much is beyond ridiculous to me. Isn't that the point? To order food?-- and the more food someone buys the more money you make? It was 4 orders. FOUR. How is that an over abundance of ordering and "too much food"? The order was 3 standard bowls and a pita wrap. That's it. Seriously? SO frustrating on so many levels. We have absolutely no desire to return to this place. As you know-- there are many options for people in regard to eating out. I'm sure you can tell I am upset and do not appreciate that my son was treated in this manner. And I don't appreciate going through all sorts of contortions - including providing personal information in order to order food-- and then still not be able to order it. This place is whack. The portions are ludicrously tiny, especially considering how expensive this place is! Beware if you order online. I ordered DOUBLE rice because it was such a tiny portion the previous time, and braised lamb meatballs. When I got home, the rice was still barely covering the bottom, there were only 2 of my 4 selected dips/spreads (mind you, an extra cost for that too and again, like *barely* even a spoonful of the dips they did put), and I had A SINGLE lamb meatball in my order. Just one. Do not recommend whatsoever. Could really use a fast casual mediterranean place like this in Ardmore, but this Cava location leaves a lot to be desired. read more

Really yummy! We got the spicy lamb pita and tahini chicken Caesar. I also got pita and hummus but wasn't impressed. The hummus serving was so small for $2.50 and the pita $1 was balled up and pretty sure it was microwaved bc it was rubbery. I'll start by saying I really like the food. Everything is flavorful and the portion size is pretty good, as well as the value. HOWEVER, the service was awful. The man that put our bowls together was practically throwing everything in, was very rude and pushy. It seemed like he did not care WHATSOEVER. Then, another employee came and started fighting with the cashier. The man also joined in on the fight, which was about money.
