I adore Cava, the grains and green bowls is excellent. So many great fresh choices that are delicious. This particular review is for the staff. They were busy and yet totally maintained their professionalism. The woman I believe was the manager, Eva, was a doll. She was so on top of everything and despite being over the top busy (line wrapped around the entire inside dining area) she was great. She went out of her way to assist and she was cheerful a joyful heart is good medicine and she was dispensing it. the staff never faltered just pushed through. Amazingly, I don't believe they were out of anything, except picketed onions. A favorite with out group. Still delicious and filling. read more

I tried this place for the first time and I ordered it to go. The bowl was hefty and it had so many flavors and textures. It was delicious. It also came with a good amount of the protein I picked, which was the honey chicken. I was very full and I could even split the portion that I ordered into two and I ate it later on! I LOVE this place! It's been open for a few weeks now and I've probably gone weekly. The food is good and healthy. It's about $11 for a bowl which fills me up for the rest of the day. It's hard finding good, fast, healthy food and this has been one of my favorite places so far. read more

This is the second time I've ordered and paid online, only to get to the store and they tell me they had to make my bowl without all the ingredients I selected because they ran out! I've mobile ordered cava twice and picked it up through their pick up by car window. My order was supposed to be ready at 8:15. It is now 8:45 and i am still sitting at the window waiting on my food. The workers are so unaware of the pick up window and so inconsiderate about making your food on time. This is absolutely ridiculous and I will not be returning. read more

Costly and anticlimactic. The service was slow and the cashier was notably unfriendly.

Two stars because the food is delicious, lacking the other three stars because they have messed up my order the past three times I've been. I'm not sure why, as they have a physical, printed out receipt with a list of all the ingredients that should be in the bowl, but it is a GUARANTEE that with Cava you will be missing at least one thing from your order. Last time I waited an hour for a pick up order that should have been ready at 6:00pm. Don't recommend if you have anywhere to be, or anything to do. read more

I could not possibly say enough good things about this location! I went in today after class to get a late lunch/early dinner and the staff was SO nice!! Everyone was so cheerful and went out of there way to make sure I was happy. This experience was the reason I downloaded yelp and made an account. Let me preface by saying the food is usually incredible. But we just went and stood in line that was moving incredibly slow for 30 minutes. Once we were the next people to order, an employee came out with tears in her eyes and said they had to close down the restaurant. The employees were entirely overworked and my heart goes out to them. But safe to say this ruined my night. We wasted so much time because we were so close and now we don't have time to get something else. I recommend the food but this was completely unacceptable service :( read more

I want to like Cava. I really, really want to like Cava, but I just can't. The food is great, but the service is so incredibly awful. And I get that everyone is struggling with service right now, but I have never once picked up my order and it been 100% correct and I have never once picked up my order and it be ready on time. Today I placed an order online before 11am and when my husband went to pick it up at 12:15 they told him that they were hours behind on orders. today i went into cava and had previously placed a online order about 10 minutes before and i understand that that may not be enough time,so i didn't go through the drive thru. i walked in to let them know i was there but didn't expect them to drop everything and make it that instant and was very nice when letting them know i was there. when i let them know one of the workers angelena proceeded to say loudly to the kitchen staff that she HATES when people place online orders then just walk in and repeated it about 3 times while laughing in a mocking manner. this WAS NOT our first bad encounter with her.this made me very uncomfortable,especially becuase i've worked in fast food and never treated a customer with disrespect when frustrated. overall the food is amazing! read more

Pick up orders are last priority so don't ever order online if you go here. I ordered online tonight and waited for 2 hours after my pick up time. CAVA is finally in Athens! I was so excited to try this out. It was my first time there, so when I walked in, I asked where the line started and it turns out it's right by the door. I got the Lemon chicken salad (so so so delicious), and they asked if I wanted everything that came on it, and I said yes. However, the employee left off three of the things the salad said it came with. When it got to the cashier, I asked if she could put those items on the salad and she said "I don't know." The employees were playing some sort of game behind the counter, because every time I tried to get their attention they kept talking about winning and losing something. It was hard to get their attention, and all of their masks were either below their nose or just resting on their chin. The only reason this review is 3 stars is because the food was so deliciously fresh, even though I missed out on the full ingredient list of what I ordered. I'll go somewhere else next time, plenty of places have fresh delicious food. read more

1st time eating at Cava Athens, GA. Food was great. Employees didnt have much to sa...which is rudish especially to customers who have never been in. Drink station was a mess...trays overflowing...a customer politely pointed out that it was going to overflow to the employees and they didn't say anything. We ate. Food was great. The last four time I have been the service is horrible they are always out of the most common items they put the teas away 2 hours before closing I have asked to speak with the manager on 4 occasions now and they will not respond I am done with this location I will never return. I usually love cava but today and the past couple times I've been coming here it has been absolutely terrible. They always run out of what I want. I always get the crazy feta but no they have any of that! The people always have attitude with me and I do not feel like it's a safe place to go to eat. They could be just a little bit nicer. I went to a Culver's somewhere else in the service was absolutely impeccable, and they are very nice but here I did not get the same treatment. They work very slow, and they act like they hate their jobs. I understand nobody wants to work, but you have to act like they hate themselves. There was one girl who is very nice to me when I went and she was able to get my order right so if I can't see that it's everybody, but usually the ones who worked on a daily basis are usually the worst. I just wish they were better because this is my fave. The drinks tasted old to!!! read more

Dealt with extremely rude employee while trying to pickup order. Was told to be there at 11:30, I arrived at 11:30, and had to ask again for my order around 11:45. Employee made rude comment and picked up a bag that had been sitting on the counter since my arrival. I ordered extra pita and a fountain beverage, both of which were missing. When I mentioned this to the employee, I was told " you get what you get". I should get what I paid for and not be subject to such bad customer service. The manager really needs to educate the staff about the golden rule if nothing else. Will not be going back. read more
