This is the very nice variation of Chipotle with a Mediterranean offering, you walk down a line and customize your meal with a variety of fresh and healthy ingredients. The ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The service was good and the staff was friendly. The establishment gets busy and noisy but that is to be expected when the food and service are a cut above other fast food establishments. Given the current economic environment prices are fair and you get enough food to fill you up when you order a bowl. This will be one of my go to places when in the mood for fast food. read more

Usually go to El Segundo location but I was in town and decided to stop by. Had their bowl as usually with chicken as my protein. Requested all of the items with the exception of olives. The portions were significantly reduced at this location but no biggy. I strongly recommend their pitta chips, they're bomb as heck! The one complaint I have was the cleaning less of the restaurant. The tables were in pretty rough conditions. Didn't mind wiping mine down but all the ones around me were in rough conditions. I've heard so much hype about Cava so I decided to try it out with one of my close friends. It's the same concept as Chipotle but instead, the ingredients are based off of Mediterranean and Greek cuisine. There's pita bread, falafel, and tzatziki for example. The restaurant itself is spacious and there's ample seating for all, however parking is very much limited at peak hours. I made my own bowl and topped it with avocado, which came out to be around $16. Quite pricey and the portions aren't too filling, but it was still great nonetheless! read more

For healthy good food , this is the place. I picked up the steak bowl and the spicy lamb. The pick up process was quick while having super helpful staff. Inside looked like a cleaner hip Chipotle. I understand they might have been out of some thing because I ordered 30'mins before closing but the website should be updated on what they don't have anymore. I ordered online but all the options were available . I ordered two bowls and both were wrong . They were NOT good at all. It was SOOOO oily. The two bowls were $40. Took an hour and 15 minutes to deliver 3 steak harissa bowls. None of the add-ons were included. Two dressings for three salads and no pita bread. No utensils or napkins. This Costa Mesa and another Irvine location are roughly the same distance from where I live, but I will always come to this location. The staff is much nicer, more helpful, and more generous with the scoops. Every time that I have come, the food hits and the experience is great--portion is great for the price too because I always get two meals out of my bowl. However, all my visits to the Irvine location have left something to be desired. This location is pretty big and has plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. There is a parking lot in the back too, which is nice. It was completely filled only once during my visit and I just parked in the adjacent lot, so no problem there. Cava needs to expand and open more locations; I'm tired of driving so far whenever I crave it :P read more

I visited CAVA last Thursday with a few of my coworkers around 7 due to a coworker's recommendation. Finding the place was a bit tricky. Parking is behind CAVA and it's easy to drive past the entrance if you're not paying close attention. I ended up missing it but managed to turn around at the next street. Thankfully, parking wasn't an issue, and I found a spot close to the entrance. As expected during peak dinner hours, there was a long line. The wait was considerable, so if you're visiting around this time, be prepared for a bit of a wait. Service wasn't particularly remarkable, but given how busy it was, I can understand the staff's focus on keeping things moving. I got the steak + feta pita. I was quite satisfied with the pita. It was flavorful and satisfying for the price. Overall, the food was good, but the timing might have affected the overall experience. I'd consider returning, perhaps at a quieter time to get a better sense of their service. read more

I frequent cava, and this particular location, pretty often; however, this time I was thoroughly disappointed. I walked in at around 11am, 15 minutes after opening, and order a diy bowl. I asked for basmati rice, falafel, grilled chicken, all my dips and sauces on the side, and all toppings minus the avocado. When I came home to enjoy my meal, I did not have what I ordered. Upon beginning to dig into my bowl I noticed there was no chicken and no romaine lettuce or pita crisps. Furthermore, the falafel did not taste like falafel that was made right before open, it tasted like it was from the day before. To top it off the employee helping me didn't even provide or offer a receipt so I couldn't even look at what was put in for the order. My review isn't about the food, which by all means tasted good and appeared fresh. My issue is with the staff. What's with these restaurants where you line up and receive scoops of food from someone who begrudgingly slams your food down like slop? The staff here were extremely rude and unpleasant. Look I get that this is monotonous work, but can you at least hire people who treat their customers like human beings instead of robots? When I go through the line here, I feel like a prisoner who is being served by a fellow prisoner. Lastly, the tables had trash and leftover food all over them. Nobody seemed to have any interest in keeping the place tidy. read more
