I've always loved CAVA so tonight I decided to try their new steak bowl. I ordered it on the app at approximately 5:15 PM for pickup in Addison at 5:30 PM. When I got there, the place wasn't particularly busy but it appeared they hadn't even started work on my order. OK, no big deal; I can wait. At 5:40 I got my bowl, but unfortunately it was hugely disappointing. I wish I'd ordered the dressing on the side, because the bowl was DRENCHED in dressing. Also, about a third of the steak was grisly and inedible, and the rest of the meat was in tiny, hard, dry pieces. I'll never order that bowl again. Maybe they were having an off night, but I won't be going back any time soon. read more

My first time at Cava and i know I'm already hooked. I would describe Cava as having a chipotle style ordering but with a more Mediterranean twist. I have been a handful of times now since my first visit, tried a couple of different bowls and methods and here is what i have come up with. My first time in was great, the nice gentleman walked me through the entire line, the different options, how many sauces i can have. He explained everything and was so kind and helpful. The next visit, i wanted to place my order through the app and just quickly get in and out. I think the app is great and easy to navigate. I arrived about 5-10 minutes after my expected pick up (215ish) there were no orders at the designated pick up counter and a few people in line so i stood back and waited to be able to check with the employee. Well another 10 minutes passed and I'm thinking i should have just got in line lol it seemed like my order was ready in the back but no one brought it up to the pick up counter or some sort of miscommunication there. I can get hangry sometimes so i will not be ordering in the app and will just order in person from now on. I prefer to just create my own combination of bowl rather than their preset menu of items but both methods are really good depending on what you like. First, I got a free pita to snack on in line (others did as well) and then as I asked questions, Tasia, the person who took my order gave it to me for free! I received two recommendations regarding this place and it did not disappoint. I had the kids pita wrap with grilled chicken which also comes with a drink and your choice of pita chips or carrots. I had the cucumber and mint juice which was refreshing and delicious at the same time. I like that this place allows you to build your own salad, bowl or pita wrap with a ton of healthier choices. Love this place! I come here VERY often for lunch. Its the best option by far if you are looking for clean eating at a great value! The service here is really amazing. Everyone here is super kind and very friendly at this location. Kassandra, Omaia, Amanda, Fatima and Tasia are all just amazing people. Cava has done a great job overall. Every location I've eaten at has had very consistently great food. Even the drinks are terrific, can't ecommend the mint cucumber lime and strawberry citrus enough. Apparently I'm not the only one who thinks this because it gets soo busy during lunch so its better to come a little earlier/later or order online. I see lots of people simply picking up their order after ordering online. Simply can't recommend Cava enough. read more

Cava is like a healthier and Mediterranean version of chipotle. You can pick pita wrap, bowl, or a salad and pick your own meat and toppings. Everything has so much flavor and are marinated very well. Meat options are Mediterranean inspired of course, with choices of falafel, lamb meatball, roasted salmon, etc. Some meats are extra charge. My favorite part of Cava is their abundant number of fresh toppings and how I can put as many toppings as I want without an extra charge. If you love to try new things like me, it's so fun to put all the toppings in your bowl and nibble at different things. And their dressing and dips? So many options and all with great flavors as well. You name it and they have it, like tahini, garlic sauce, yogurt dill, etc. Even the type of greens you can get as a base for your salad bowl has several options. Cava is heaven for those who want to eat healthy but want to eat variety. The portion size is also great and I can easily eat one bowl as two separate meals. Always running out of ingredients way before closing, long lines/waits, and some toppings just don't seem that fresh compared to other locations. Always a nightmare to get in and out of. However not why I won't be going to this location again. Ordered for over $12 a custom bowl- half saffron rice/half super greens, half harissa chicken, half regular, cucumber, corn, broccoli, pickled onion, feta and pita. I have two good chunks of chicken- rest are scraps, no super greens really- a few pieces- no pita, no broccoli, a few pieces of cucumber (6 half pieces) and pickled onions - on that side they did well. Picture Chipotle with mediterranean options. This location replaced Zoe's Kitchen which I actually loved. I had been wanting to try Cava since my partner had been raving about it. I have been quite a few times since it opened. I usually order a bowl with super greens, rice, lamb meatballs and honey harissa chicken and a plethora of veggies. There is so much variety. I have a love/hate relationship with options but it works. There are also several sauces to choose from. Some are vegan. My favorites are garlic and lemon herb tahini. Do yourself a favor and get the pita crisps. They add a nice textural element to the bowl. Cava is my new go to for Mediterranean food. It's relatively healthy and offers a great selection of ingredients. What more could I ask for? read more

Came to this place to eat about 20 minutes before closing and they were already scraping up and putting stuff away and as soon as I can the lady asks if I have an order for pick up and I told her no I just wanna take something to go and all she says is "oh well we're pretty much out of everything so there's no point in ordering." I knew they weren't out of things. They were just trying to pack up early because no one else was in there and they were trying to close early and didn't want any more customers and the point is if they truly were out of everything then they should've lock their doors instead of having customers come in, just to turn them away really would not come back to this location for them trying to just close early and clean up and put all the food away already before their hours to close. read more
