We were sat by the door, which wasn't ideal, but it wasn't cold or cramped so no big deal. I got the salmon- the flavor and texture were amazing. The yogurt sauce was a perfect touch and the beets weren't bad either. The food and service at this restaurant are second to none (SO DELICIOUS), but I overheard a manager say something that disturbed me. Two customers told him what great service they received from a bartender and encouraged him to give her a raise. His response was "You all give the servers a raise with tips" or something similar. In this time, when so many restaurants are seemingly in need of good help, it's incredibly tone-deaf not to reward exceptional service with increased compensation. Or at least say you will! Goodness sakes. Come to Cava Mezze for the food, but please don't forget to speak up for the staff and tip them well for their good work. They deserve it. read more

Don't let the strip mall location fool you- this is a great lunch spot with friendly, attentive table service. My companion had the lamb sliders and thoroughly enjoyed them. I appreciated the variety of gluten free options and had an excellent steak salad. A great stop for Mediterranean food and I will go back when I am in the area again. read more

I was in Rockford, MD visiting friends during the thanksgiving holiday and we wanted a brunch that was offered all the comforts of our home Louisville, KY with lots of good options and of course alcohol. After discussing it with very one in our party we decided to go to Cava Mezze which did not disappoint. Our table decided to get the all you can eat brunch for $35 after talking to each other (the requirement was the entire table had to order the same thing) as well as the manager (one of my friends had dietary restrictions). I ordered the STEAK & EGGS, Chicken and waffles, Cava home fries and the spicy lamb Benedict and finally the FRENCH TOAST. The food came out in quick succession normally one after the other. Honestly, it's a little expensive for the quality and taste of their food. I get what they're going for-- upscale tapas in a funky and cool place. But their chicken tastes dry and the portions are small. I don't think this place is as enjoyable as they want it to be. I've been here twice. I won't go back unless someone else wants me to go with them (unlikely). The wait staff is pretty good, and I do like their presentation and decor. From the moment we walked in Morgan was extremely delightful. She took out order and everything came out quickly. Morgan was the only bar tender at the restaurant on Father's Day when the entire restaurant was full. I could see her making drinks as quickly as she could and she still had the time to check in us and bring us our drinks. I ordered the zucchini fritters, the french toast, and the potatoes all of which were amazing. The .25 mimosas were also a great bonus. I've been here a few times, but our waitress Lauren is what made this particular trip a great visit. She was super friendly and brightened up our day! My sister and I came here for lunch and enjoyed their three course, $15 lunch option. I loved the arugula salad, tzatziki dip, calamari, salmon, and OMG-- the cauliflower. The plates themselves came out as they were ready- we were full before we even finish everything! If you've never been here before, coming for their lunch deal would be the best way to experience their menu option at a lower price. I took my parents here one morning right when they opened. We took advantage of the lunch special where you choose three items for $15. I also ordered the scallop and risotto which is my absolute favorite. (Which was not on the $15 deal), but it is by far my favorite item here. Was also ordered the Brussels sprouts, the roasted beet salad (Ahhhhmazing!) To say that everything was exquisite was an understatement. The concept behind the beet salad was well thought out. The perfect marriage of salty, sweet, crunchy and spicy hazelnuts.... just perfect. My other favorite is the scallops risotto. Risotto is something that can easily be messed up. Every time I order it, it is perfect. The sear on the scallops brings out the flavors really well. The creamy risotto just does this little dance in your mouth as you take each bite. It is great until the very last bite. I highly recommend trying this dish. You will not be disappointed. I am not 100% sure but I believe some of their dishes change seasonally so check them out all year round! read more

Been here for a friend's birthday brunch on a Saturday. Unlimited food and $0.25/mimosa was the deal and it cost us each about $35. In terms of options, there are plenty but it takes awhile to prepare so it's better to order a bunch in the beginning since it's a la carte and then order more of what you want again. I'd go back! We did bottomless brunch with a large group here a few weekends ago. With so many items, the servers did a great job getting out the food in a timely manner and making sure we all had drinks, water, etc. All of the dishes were also very tasty, which we were impressed by with such a large group. I've been to this location for dinner before but this review is for their weekend brunch! The service was great and I loved the discounted mimosa deal ($0.25 for one glass!). The food was impeccable. I loved the brussels sprouts and all the different eggs benedicts they had. It was $35 a person for unlimited trays in their brunch section which I thought was super worth it considering how expensive one plate can be for dinner. Just tried this place out this past weekend and was really impressed! The ambiance is casual with a hint of fancy. The food was great. The complimentary bread they give is really good with the red dipping sauce. I got the "Chicken Souvlaki" as an appetizer and liked it. We also got the lamb chops and lamb meatballs and were really impressed with both. The meat was tender and really flavorful. For dessert we got the baklava with ice cream and were amazed with it! The baklava was one of the best I have had and the ice cream was really different but delicious. The entrees are smaller so you probably want to order 2 per person and share them. All in all, a 5/5 experience- will definitely come back. read more

It really helped that we had an excellent server who spent time with us describing a number of options on the menu so we could make well informed decisions. I haven't been to a cava mezze in quite awhile and this was first visit for my friend. We ordered cauliflower, crispy chicken sliders, crab cake based on server's descriptions. We loved the chicken sliders, mildly spicy, and the crab cake. The cauliflower was good, not excellent- I doubt I will order it again as there are a number of other good veg options I have dined here two more times and thoroughly enjoyed the food- we love the Brussel sprouts, lamb chops, lamb meatballs, chicken souvlaki, and beet salad. The doughnuts were fantastic- especially the honey walnut doughnuts.the village salad is good and the grilled shrimp- although I doubt I'll order them again because I didn't think they were exceptional. Came here for dinner. First time here so didn't know the price reflects on tapas style small plates but was at full entree price!! Most of the dishes we ordered wasn't worth the charged price. To me, only the scallops and salmon was worth the price since they were the best- cooked well and tasted fresh. I liked how they give free pita on the table. Service was good though the waiter missed a few of our orders by giving our order to the other side of the table of our party. The food was pretty good overall but was a bit salty like the calamari. The lollipop chicken was overcooked. The brussel sprouts was charred too much. I may not come back for dinner but would like to come try the brunch (almost the same price I would spend for dinner and its all you can eat!). read more

Cava Mezze is a nice place to go for brunch. While I preferred the previous option of the endless brunch, the three course brunch is also yummy. My only "complaint" is I miss the way they used to do their Gyro Hash Browns. Those were my absolute favorite and their new way is just okay. They have amazing French toast as well as chicken and waffles. Cant beat 25 cent mimosas either. Add to the yummy food - their staff is always great! read more

So I love the atmosphere here and used to go almost in a weekly basis for happy hour. The staff are friendly but the biggest issue I have is they MUST have changed the hummus recipe... It used to be very creamy with roasted chickpeas on top and absolutely delicious. The last two times I've been however the hummus was thick and almost inedible. Literally grocery store hummus tastes better. Please go back to the old recipe guys, it's always busy in there... and you hiked up prices a lot (took away bottomless brunch) so obv your profit margins are fine .... read more
