    The appetizer sampler
    Shawna M.

We've been here a few times, but can on a Saturday night with friends. We were seated swiftly and our waitress did an excellent job at communicating any delays and keeping our drinks full. We ordered the lamb chops, octopus, the appetizer sampler and the scallops. My friend reported that the octopus was a little undercooked but very good nonetheless. I had some of the lamb and it was quite tasty. Charred on the outside and the right temperature on the inside. Cava is a good option for the Olney area. The friends we took had never been inside but consistently go to Olney. They were shocked by it. Definitely a good option for good service and continuously good food options

The smallest assortment of Brussels for $14. This place has gone down hill.

Brussels sprout- gate! The food is decent but I was amazed that they charge $14 for 6 brussel sprouts. Definitely gone down hill.

    Lamb Chops - so good

Sat night for 7 at 7:30 and the place was packed but we got our table quickly. A bit tight. Ordered several app starters. Loved the hush puppies. Family ordered several dishes to share but I saw the lamb chops and declared, "those are mine". OMG so good. More meat than I expected and flavored nicely and cooked perfectly to my medium rare request. The potatoes were disks not fried and were ok. Service was fantastic - thanks Natalia C !!

Came here with a fairly large group of friends and tried a bunch of items. My favorites were the Brussel sprouts, and chicken skewers. Nothing else really stood out. I thought I was going to love the hush puppies but hate that they use either a goat or sheep milk for their cheese and ruined a lot of items for me. Service was sporadic and it wasn't busy. The servers were not too knowledgeable with the items and didn't know a lot of answers. Overall if I didn't attend for a friends event I wouldn't chose to go here.

Great spot to casual dine for couple or small group. The food is served tapas style so we ordered a bunch of different dishes for the table. Everything was great and came out hot. This location also had a full bar for us to order drinks. My only callout is that I personally think the staff should have different uniforms from the fast chain; the big logo T-shirts didn't match the restaurant atmosphere.

The best place for Sunday brunch, they have AMAZING food, mimosas and service. Definitely recommend for family gatherings or romantic dates.

Cons: The service was not great. They have lots of staff--someone to light the candles, someone to bring the water, someone to take our order, someone to bring out the appetizer, someone to bring out drinks, someone to bring out entrees, etc. But there was very little follow up along the way. Our waters never got filled again. Our server took our drink order right away, but took a long time to come back to take our food order. Despite that, we still got our drinks well after the appetizer came out. The next time we saw the server was when we were done eating. The food should have been better for the price as well. We shared the grilled halloumi cheese appetizer. The cheese was cold by the time it got to us, and the plate came with two small olives--just two. At that point, don't bother. I had the bronzini, which had a good flavor, but was mostly skin. There was very little fish attached to two filets. My wife had the scallops. The entree came with five or six (can't remember exactly) medium-sized scallops. My wife described them as "forgettable," with very little thought to presentation (some of the scallops were laying on their side on the plate. The asparagus was overcooked. Unfortunately we both left still kind of hungry, and definitely put off.

The calamari was perfectly breaded and crispy. The hummus had a great blend of garlic, parsley, a bit of cayenne and red chili flakes with lemon and paprika. All these ingredients make a plain hummus extra tasty. Our two main entrees consisted of the broiled Atlantic salmon with asparagus and Greek potatoes and the Yero plate containing rotisserie beef and lamb slices serviced over pita, with tzatziki, and salad. The salmon was impressively at the perfect temperature. I thoroughly enjoyed my entire meal. The Yero plate had the best slices of beef and lamb. They were soft and absolutely well prepared. Our dinner was accompanied with two musicians who played lovely traditional Greek songs. The music was not too loud and we were able to have a nice conversation at our table. Service was a tad slow towards the end of our meal. We were seated in the basement and there was a time when not a single server was on the floor. Water service was lacking and odd -- we waited quite some time for a refill and when someone did come, only one of us got the refill when we both needed water! Still, I loved the food and atmosphere. Parking: Plenty in the back of the restaurant.

We started strong with the feta cheese appetizer, and wow -- the creamy, briny richness paired perfectly with fresh accompaniments. The Greek salad that followed was unbelievably fresh, with crisp vegetables and vibrant flavors that felt like summer in every bite. But the real star of the night? The pork chops. They were cooked to juicy perfection, seasoned beautifully, and paired with sides that complemented the dish rather than competed with it. Each forkful was savory, tender, and honestly one of the best versions of Greek-inspired pork I've had in a while. What sets Ela Mesa apart isn't just the food -- though it truly delivers authentic, elevated Greek flavors -- it's the whole experience. Guests consistently rave about the warm, inviting atmosphere and attentive service that makes you feel right at home. Whether you're craving classic Greek dishes done exceptionally well or discovering Mediterranean flavors for the first time, this place is a must-try gem. It's so funny because David and I frequent the Akira ramen next door and not once had we ever noticed that this Greek restaurant was right next to it! I was immediately impressed by the perfect amount of variety on the menu, and the dishes sounded really authentic. Our server also told us there were a number of specials happening that day, so there's sure to be something for everyone. We ended up ordering 3 entrees for 4 people to share and we were able to swap a few of the side dishes that the entrees came with. Gioulbasi (half roasted chicken): The chicken was tasty, although I didn't eat a few parts closest to the bone because they were a bit bloody and I couldn't tell if it was cooked through. The lemon potatoes that came with this were BOMB! Super lemony, and had a slight crisp outer texture. I could eat a plate full of those potatoes. Branzino: Unfortunately the Chilean Sea Bass we wanted was out, so our waiter recommended the Branzino instead. It was good, but not mindblowing. Its a pretty lean fish, but the meat slid right off the bone and it was pretty easy to eat. Yiouvetsi (lamb shank): Super tender, came right off the bone and paired nicely with the tomatoey orzo pasta underneath. A HUGE portion, we had some leftover to go. Overall, we loved the chill ambiance and authenticity of the dishes and selection on the menu. My parents love Greek/Meditteranean food, so would definitely visit again! Shoutout to our server Riley who was great too, I had to call him over to explain the specials to me twice, give that man a raise!

However, two of us ordered a daily special - and the stew was exactly two ingredients - the stew gravy ... and the meat. Plus, it was very mediocre. Additionally, the salad was hands down the saddest salad I've ever had in an establishment. The dressing was just olive oil and tasted exactly that. The bread was also some of the dullest I've ever been served. On the plus side, the dining area was spacious with peaceful decor.
