If I could leave no stars I would. Regrettably, my recent experiences at CB's have been deeply disappointing, a stark contrast to the warmth and hospitality once synonymous with this establishment. The transition in ownership has evidently led to a drastic decline in customer service quality. The charm of the former local proprietors has been replaced by the new owners' rudeness, meanness, and unnecessary aggression. My attempts to communicate with the staff, presumably the new owner, have consistently been met with stress and hostility. On my latest visit, a simple online order pickup turned unnecessarily confrontational. While I was merely trying to clarify and amend my order, the response I received was unexpectedly combative, with the owner accusing me of being confrontational, a bewildering accusation when all I sought was to add to my order due to an initial mistake. His unwillingness to assist, coupled with a palpable sense of irritation, left me no choice but to leave, utterly dismayed by the lack of basic courtesy one would expect in a service-oriented business. Such behavior is not only unprofessional but also tarnishes the reputation of what could be a thriving local enterprise. It's disheartening to witness the erosion of the congenial, customer-focused atmosphere that once defined CB's. The current proprietor's approach starkly misrepresents the essence of what local business ownership should embody. Consequently, I am compelled to state that I will neither recommend nor patronize CB's again, a decision I make with a heavy heart given my past fondness for the place. Throughout the visit, Zach engaged in inappropriate behavior, including mocking them students, using degrading language, and making belittling remarks about their age and behavior. YUM YUM YUM! Their pizza is always very good and their CB's Special (Reuben) is AMAZING! We got take-out at least twice while we were vacationing in the area (See my other review on the place we stayed...AWESOME!) Anyway, CB's was only three blocks from where we stayed. While the service isn't the fastest, who cares! You're on LAKE TIME! ENJOY IT! The staff was always nice and pleasant. One of the hostesses, who had brown hair, was so wonderful. She always made me smile when we went in after a day at the beach. TIP: Get a Pizza to go and walk over to Patton Beach - it's gorgeous in the summer time, or even in the Fall...any time of year it's gorgeous and yummy food + gorgeous view = unforgettable vacation. As a Tahoe local it's nice to have a neighborhood favorite for a quick bite or to catch live music on Wednesday nights with friends! CB's has a great local vibe and family atmosphere. Come as a stranger, leave as a friend. The service and food has has really stepped up over the last few years since Callie took over, from renovations, to live music and delicious daily specials. I really appreciate the addition of some vegetarian options on the menu, from veggie tacos, to a few delicious speciality pizzas, and a whole day of veggie specials on Mondays!!
