Came in with a friend of mine for 2 manis and 1 pedi. We were rushed from the very beginning. My friends mani was done in 5 sad and short minutes. For my pedi, since my nails were wet from the mani I asked the lady to roll up my pants which she did about an inch. This obviously resulted in her getting my jeans wet when trying to rinse my legs off. She also didn't care to dry my legs before applying lotion so needless to say, it was just wet watery lotion being sloshed around my feet and on my pants as well. She rushed me to sit down at thedryer and didn't bother to help me get my coat or bag and then threw on her coat and ran out the door. I asked another lady to help me get the Saran Wrap and shoes on. She took zero care so I told her I could do it. Instead she shoved my feet in the shoes when I told her to not to and of course, when I got home, my nail polish was a disaster. So, I paid full price for a crappy experience that I will have to pay someone again to fix. I totally understand people have things to do and places to go but I do not appreciate getting such terrible service when I'm paying the fair price. I'd rather wait for a technician who gives a damn. I'm in the area and will NEVER come back. Should have gone to the new place on the block. read more

So disappointed with this place. Went because of good yelp reviews. Checked their website before hand and saw that they have a mani pedi special Monday to Thursday for $24.99. I went in and asked them how much the service is, the girl told me $26.99. I decided maybe their website was just out of date and $2.00 really wasn't too much of a hike. After the service, I was asked to pay $28.00, apparently exactly $1.01 more for tax. Interestingly, the tax rate in NYC is 8.875% which means tax should have been $2.36 at the minimum. This means that extra $1.01 they charged me for "tax" is likely not going to the government. When I told the girl I would like to add an additional $3.00 tip, she told me tip is 20%. When I told her again that I would like to pay $3.00, she repeated 20%, apparently thinking I didn't understand her. When I said again that I would like to pay $3.00 for tip, she gave me this resentful look and all the nail ladies started bantering and bitching at yet another asshole customer. I understand that these folks don't make an awful lot from this job. However, I also believe in paying a price I agreed upon, and not being extorted for tips. I also don't believe in mandatory tip. The way I was treated, she didn't deserve any tip at all. This place should be examined for tax fraud as I am almost certain the extra charges they put on my bill is not actually going back to the government. Will never go back. Go somewhere else for your nails ladies. P.S. there was a sign on the wall saying if you left a positive review on yelp, you get a free 10 minute massage. Giving one star to this establishment is being way too courteous. I work right next door, half the office staff goes to the salon on their lunch break and is seen and treated within the hour with optimal superb service. I on the other hand have been disrespected by Yenny, she is very rude, nasty, doesn't know how to treat clients, and will brush you off. Lina, pretends as if she doesn't know anything when you point out the error and unfairness that is being done and will stare at you as if you're wrong and they're right. This was my first and last time ever going here for any kind of service. They expect you to shell out large amounts of money for services that aren't even compared to the price....which is why they end with if you don't like we'll fix it for you, and when you do, suddenly, its cultural, racial, they don't speak English, they're not familiar, etc etc I paid $45 plus an $8 tip for an SNS powder manicure which my regular place charges $25 and lasts 3-4 weeks. This manicure I received was done 5 days ago has now chipped and cracked, not to mention the initial process of it looks horrible, the manager came to fix the one nail that completely cracked, she horribly reshaped all my other nails, the top coat is supposed to be smooth and shiny this botched 2nd job is rough, practically worse than when Xiomera did it the first time. Then when I told the manager about her staff, she said she couldn't speak to them now because of customers, I told her I didn't care cus I paid my money as well and deserve the same treatment. So she decided to patronize me and give me a free gift certificate for a free pedicure. I wouldn't step foot in that shop even if it were the last place on earth. read more

Both locations share staff I just happen to enjoy the ambiance a tad better at this location. Free paraffin for your hands in the winter and aloe in the summer. They will try to upsell you on their spa pedicures but their basics are just fine. If you have the time, always go for a chair massage. read more

In my opinion a good nail salon is a. clean and b. has a nice selection of fresh/updated colors. CC Nails fits the bill on both accounts! This review is for the salon on 3rd Ave. between 34th & 35th. All of the nail salons near me have gone, so I discovered that walking from Madison to Third was not too much of a hassle and discovered CC Nails. They do a great gel manicure and have those new uv driers that only cover your nails and part of your fingers (so long sunscreen)! The salon has a worn out look and lack of OPI Gel polish, but I did discover a really nice color by CND. Oh, and the best thing about this place is that they have a brand new sealed plastic bag with emory boards etc. for each person! Worst nail experience in New York City. Dim lighting, filthy floors and the manicurist placed plastic covers in the pedicure baths, most likely used because they are too lazy to clean after each use. Air conditioning waste dripped on my friend continually as her nails dried, and there was no effort to remedy the situation even after my friend expressed discomfort. Numerous hand written signs are posted throughout the shop referencing a 10-minute free massage with a Yelp comment. When I asked to redeem the free massage, I was told that the only eligible masseuse was unavailable and that I should come back another time on their schedule. When I pressed further, the girl rolled her eyes at me and told me to give the free massage to a friend. When it came time to pay, I referenced the $26.99 manicure/pedicure special very prominently written on the shop's awning. The manicurist pretended not to hear me and charged $39 total. When addressed, she rolled her eyes and reluctantly corrected the amount. Even if desperate, would NEVER return to this place. read more

The mani&pedi is $25, Monday to Thursday. It's the best one I have gotten in the city for the price. The service is good. You know the little rub/massage session they give to your feet and legs plus your hands during the mani&pedi? Usually half-arsed unless you go to a fancy spa. Here at CC nail, they mean it, even if it is only for 30 seconds. The super brief shoulder rub you get while drying your nails are so good I almost signed up for a full session. They surely know how to tempt you. CC Nails is clean and the staff are corteous from beginning to end. Got a manicure here a couple days ago and i have to say in this case: i am glad i paid a little extra to come here bc my nails still haven't chipped! It's miracle. A cheap manicure in the city is about $6 and chips immediately, an averaged priced manicure is about $8-$10 and chips the next day. I don't know what CC nails was using to make the polish stay on but the $11 manicure was well worth the price! They were friendly and had a great variety of colors. The service is very good, the wait times are short, and the polish last for at least 3 weeks every time (for gel). I stopped by for a 10 minute chair massage ($11) which was probably the best I've ever received out of the four different nail salons I've tried previously. The lady I had just seemed a lot more skilled at the massage and was attentive to working out the knots in my shoulders with gentle pressure instead of going at it hard to get them out quickly. That's important to me because I want my massages to be effective AND relaxing and not leave like I've just gone through a beating. This review isn't even based on the quality of work as the place it self disgusted me so bad I walked out. For starters I was seated at the last chair and the chair next to me was covered in black bags. The floor was wet and I can see behind the chairs it was even worst. I look and see theres a leak coming from the ceiling that's going all over the floor and on the chair that was covered. I still sit down and feel something caught on my flip flop. I look and it's a damn sticky mouse trap with a roach on it. I peeled it off with such disgust and walked out . See the picture of the mouse trap if you don't believe me. Came here with my roommate before we were going on vacation Vegas and the 2 stars, "meh. I've experienced better," definitely describes my experience here. We both wanted mani/pedis, and I will say, they offer them at a good price. Because the pedi chairs were all full, my nail tech did my mani first, but then when it came time to do my pedi, she walked over to the pedi seats and didn't offer to help me with my jacket or bag, especially when I was climbing into the chair (there's barely any room to climb into it when they are all full), and of course, I messed up like 5 out of 10 nails while struggling with my stuff and getting into the seat. So as I sat there, she had to re-do most of my nails and kept yelling "DON"T TOUCH ANYTHING!" I also was wearing yoga pants and couldn't fold the pants up myself, but she just watched my struggle with that. Come on, help a sister out. I would have rather just waited 20 minutes for her to do my pedi first. Since my nails were wet, all I could do was sit there and watch her do my pedi, instead of reading or looking at my phone, in fear of re-messing up my nails and having her yell at me. Besides all of that, the place itself is a little run-down and feels kind of dirty. They have a decent amount of nail polishes, but they are basically all the same color, with a few different ones here and there. Usually I am not so stuck up about salons because I usually just paint my nails myself at home, but it was definitely not a pleasant experience. I came here based on a recommendation from a friend and was pretty disappointed. Though I called ahead of time and made an appointment, I had to wait about an hour before anyone began helping me. I get that they're busy, but then the quality of the mani/pedi should make up for it. Not only did my gel manicure end up with bubbles in it, but the skin surrounding the nails on both my fingers and toes now has nail polish on it. The borders of my nails are not clean, which is especially annoying with gel nails. I will not be making another trip here and would not suggest it to anyone I know. The only reason I'm giving CC nails two stars instead of one is because they do use some oil to take care of some dead skin on your heel. read more

I bought the longest pedicure just so that my sore back could get massage along with my sore feet, and for around $50 w/ tip, it was well worth it. I mean, I easily spend $90 on some massages. Went today after work and because of rosh hashanah, there were less people there. The girls were attentive, my sister had gone on Monday so I asked for the same person that worked on her (Suki). She helped me choose colors and told me which worked together/was the most popular of choice etc. We spoke quite a bit then turns out she was the owner of both CC and CC2 (down the block on 3rd avenue). They use sunscreen on you prior to using the UV lamp. They also give a quick shoulder massage while your nails are finishing up. Great thing is....the owner grows her own aloe plants and she uses REAL aloe on your hands after which was rare and awesome!! I had asked her originally before getting my nails done not to file too much and she did just that! She asked if I wanted my cuticles cut, I said not, she only touched it up a little so the edges were clean. All in all, great experience. I would say it was better than going to the nail salon at Encore at Vegas which cost over $100 for a gel nail manicure! read more

I had called ahead but they weren't ready, and I had to wait even though they had told me they'd be ready for me. They called more technicians in, and it took them about 15 minutes to arrive. This is my first ever Yelp review! This nail salon was recommended to me by my colleague. I must tell you I'm very anal and particular about my manicures and pedicures. YENNY is AMAZING. I cannot say enough great things. She's meticulous. I traveled from the UES on Sunday just to get my nails done by her. Each pedicure starts with a plastic liner being placed in the tub which means you're not getting someone else's foot dirt! Best place I've found in NYC after moving here a year ago. I moved from LA and was surprised that no one sanitizes their tools here in NY, it was expected of all LA nail salons. This place does! The women working were very nice. $30 for pedicure and 10min massage. They also give you a stamp card to redeem a free service after 9 visits. Definitely coming back!
