Much like many other restaurants in Miami, you pay for ambiance and focus less on food flavor! The decor was stunning and placed you in a romantic garden one would expect to see in a movie. There are beautiful lights wrapping the trees and give the patio have a dim glow. I can understand why each table had a couple seated! The style of the restaurant definitely will swoon your date! The food on the other hand could definitely use a spike in flavor. We began the evening with the calamari which was yummy but nothing to write home about. Seasoning in the breading lacked and left me wanting more from the dish. I finished off with the kind salmon. I will state that one thing not lacking here are the portions! I was unable to finish my dish and left feeling full. The salmon itself relied heavily on a pesto sauce glazed over the top. Without the pesto, that salmon would've been in deep trouble. I added salt to help bring out any flavors and still was disappointed. It came with a very decent sized serving of broccolini. Authentic, good & oh so flavorful. Cecconis is located inside soho house an extremely exclusive hotel. The only place open to the public is the restaurant so of course I have to know what the buzz is about at this exclusive hotel(price=$$$). I walk past the lobby which is also part of the inside seating and sit at the outside bar. The ouside area is covered by a Pergola and has a plants and vines growing throughout. The items I had were apart of a 3 course lunch which included Buratta salad, Snapper with broccolini and a Vegan chocolate tart with mixed berry sorbet. The service was great at the bar. The bartender was quick to service and take my food order. The buratta was so fresh as if they made it at the restaurant. The snapper was beautify seared and broccolini was perfectly al dente. The dessert I would of never known it was vegan. It was very creamy and full of flavor. Great job to the restaurant staff for executing esquitite food & service. Beautiful outside decor with hanging string lighting draping all over the exterior of the restaurant while dining with a combination of booth seating and tables which makes it very intimate in such a big dining area. Came here for a meeting and ended up staying for lunch. Location: A really beautiful outdoor space right on Miami beach. The restaurant itself was beautiful and restaurant was very accommodating asking if I preferred full shade or sun. The space is much smaller than you think. It maybe has 30 tables total so definitely make a reservation ahead of time! Food: I got the gnocchi, a side of French fries, and a side of broccoli. I read reviews about the complimentary bread and it did not disappoint. Food was good with good portions. The staff made a mistake with my broccoli (I asked for no cheese and they forgot) and it was fixed quickly and nicely. I read about people saying the staff was rude but I really didn't get that vibe and I like to think I'm pretty perceptive. To be fair I did go Thursday in the afternoon when it was very quiet and stress free so that could be a factor. Overall: I think if you're a foodie the food is very simple and you wont be blown away . I believe people come here for overall experience and it is a lovely beautiful place to come and have a nice bite. Do you need a $29 Margarita pizza? no. The outside of this spot is super cute! They have this cucumber mint drink that is really good. I wouldn't recommend the pizza it is not very good. My husband said his eggplant was very good. I was hesitant to celebrate my moms birthday here because despite all the good things I've heard about this restaurant through friends- the reviews on yelp don't necessary make you want to jump to reserve a table. On the contrary, they depict the complete opposite of what I heard from close friends and almost made me reconsider my decision. I'm glad I ended up deciding to give it a try because both my mom and I agreed that we would make Cecconi one of our top favorites. Everything was outstanding going from service all the way to food. We got to the restaurant an hour before our reservation and were informed that the kitchen was transitioning from lunch to dinner. Therefore we would have 30minutes of drinks before ordering food which wasn't a big deal as I had told my mom about their picante cocktail I had before with my friend who is a member to soho house. We had two waiters through our dinner due to different shifts- both of them were on top of our table but not annoyingly attentive. One of their names was Rafael I feel bad for having to look at the receipt for his name as both of them introduced themselves to us. Both of the cocktails we tried (the standard and picante) were delicious and perfect proportion of alcohol to mixer. We ordered as starter a soup of greens and the meatballs to share. The meatballs won the round of appetizers which was a very close match. The smell alone was enough to leave one satisfied. For main dish my mom had the chicken paillard and I had the eggplant parm. We had ordered two sides which never made it to the table but we weren't upset as the portions were bigger than expected! We also acknowledge that we might've been confusing when our waiter took our order as we constantly asked questions lol the waiter was extremely nice. He didn't mind explaining to us and making suggestions. We then ordered dessert and espressos. Overall take- order the picante and the standard if you enjoy cocktails! Best tres leches I've ever had!! I got the salmon which was pretty good. Hubby got the lamb chops which were really good and well paired with the sauce. The ambiance is great. Good for girls night, date night, or just a nice night out. The service was just okay. Everyone was nice but it was nothing to write home about. While the restaurant is beautiful, the food is mediocre at best, especially for the price. We started off with the honey truffle ricotta, it was really good but something you can easily mimic at home. For the entree, I ordered the agnolotti stuffed with veal and topped with truffle. It was okay, not much flavor at all. The veal tasted like hamburger meat. It was disappointing to say the least. We ended the night with a tiramisu which was good. In my opinion, it's more of a tourist attraction because of the beautiful ambiance. The outdoor seating was amazing but way too hot to survive, they need more and better fans to beat miami summer and especially since prices are pretty high; le petite in brickell for example have a great outdoor patio where its so cool, you wouldnt even realize you're outdoors. A little odd to open the doors of the hotel and see the dining area and buffet tables as soon as you open the doors. We had requested patio seating as it was nice cool Sunday morning. The staff was very nice, brunch is priced at $55.00 per person and it includes one drink (soda not included). They have an egg station where you can get eggs your way, choice of breakfast meats. They have a hot food station with pizza, pasta, meatballs, etc. A seafood station and a pasta station. I have to admit that I have been to other brunches that offer Buffett style and Cecconi's didn't have a big selection as other places. But nevertheless, it was a very nice experience especially on such a nice occasion. We enjoyed the desserts very much. Definitely a place for especial occasions. Valet parking is $25.00 and it might get a little delayed on Sunday as we waited around 10 minutes to get our car. I had been to Cecconi's for a friends birthday lunch and had been dying to go for dinner. The brunch is amazing btw. I'm not a fan of buffet style brunches but this one was delicious. There was several stations with pastas, breakfast food, salads, desserts. After having such a great brunch experience I had this place on my places to dine for dinner list in Miami. We made a reservation for Valentine's Day for 8:30. We missed our reservation due to heavy traffic and ended up showing up over an hour late. The hostesses were so amazing they were still able to fit us in even with the high volume of reservations that night. We had to wait about 15 mins for a table so we went to the bar to grab a drink. I got the picante de la casa, if you're into spicy tequila drinks I definitely recommend this cocktail. For appetizers we ordered the baked gnocchi (seriously so good) and the artichoke dip. For entrees we did the branzino and truffle agnolotti. I'm a huge dessert fan, so that's always a must. We did these puff pastry's filled with pistachio ice cream with a chocolate drizzle poured on top. We enjoyed such an amazing Valentine's Day dinner. Delicious food and great ambiance. Went here for brunch for some friends while visiting Miami. I loved the backyard space here! It felt almost tropical. I ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs. They are generous with the amount of avocado they give you and the eggs were cooked well. Our server was nice but he wasn't the most attentive when it came to clearing glasses and plates off our table. Space was limited on the table as we were there with a total of 4 people. The whipped ricotta with truffle honey is nothing special. Very straightforward. The agnolotti which was recommended was good, but lacked any real flavor. With my travels and foods I have eaten around the world , I guess my expectations are high. But when I'm spending 300 for a couple plates of food, I expect much more. This is a tourist spot at best. You will go once for the experience and will be content enough to not return.
