Cedar Creek is always a treat. My friends and I celebrated my birthday there yesterday, and we enjoyed great food, drinks, and company! The impossible burger is great for non meat-eating friends, the empanadas are SO good, the elote fries are irresistible, and the first tacos are a wonderful burst of fresh flavor - perfect for an outdoor hangout. I was drinking mocktails, and the virgin mojito was *phenomenal.* Perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and so refreshing on a hot day. The staff is always friendly and prompt, too! I want to start by saying to food was non other then excellent. The customer service was top notch. Everything was going well until. I noticed that the table next to me had a dog sitting at the table. While we sat and ate our food, me and my wife noticed the dog jump down off the chair and piss on the floor. Wow where do I begin...I would give zero stars if I could. Enjoyed happy hour here with my husband and his friend. We were customers for over an hour and spent over $100 here. Our friend was visiting town so we decided to show him Wicklow Heights next door afterwards. One drink and 15 min later, we walk back to get our car. Only to find out that they have towed our car. After 15 min of being next door!!! They have a spotter who sits on the tables outside Cedar Creek and watches for people to leave. Then he immediately calls the tow truck company. 15 min Uber to the tow truck place that looks like a meth lab and smells like cat piss, we come to find out they charge $300 to get your car back. Oh, and they don't take credit cards, only cash, go figure!!!! So better hope you have cash or a debit card on you (which most people don't, and they know that). Also the lady who works there is rude, disrespectful, and condescending. Shame on Cedar Creek for letting this happen to so many of their customers. I thought the brunch plate was pretty good. The potatoes were crispy and seasoned nicely, the waffle was the perfect crunch and soft inside. The eggs were super bland and the fruit needed to be a lot more ripe. The chicken biscuit was okay - think it may have been too much going on with the chicken, bacon, gravy, egg yolk, biscuit, and Hot sauce. Well my dad has cancer so it was a short walk. We came in around 1130 and two people where there. My dad asked for a bottle zim or zum water that's on their menu. She came back with a glass of tap and said they don't offer bottle water. It was so bizarre? My dads an accountant but even so ot didn't take long to realized she charged us for the bottle and then didn't give it to us and claimed it didn't exist. The short white, wide faced bartender. So..... steal over 3.50 vs reverse the receipt? Y'all owe us 350 plus the tip. We didn't know when we tipped y'all were thieves. Shame on you. Okay - drinks are fair. I thought the lady at the bar I dealt with was rude but I understand that it was busy, and the staff as a whole was courteous. This whole part of town actually has a whole bar block that is walkable with moderate amounts of street traffic (aka nothing compared to Washington) - which I hadn't realized before attending. So, this would be a good part of town to do a bar-hopping party at. There was plenty of free parking for both Cedar Creek, as well as nearby in the neighborhoods. I felt safe walking from my car to the bar. The fish and chips was great - mainly for the fish though. I did not like the fries but there wasn't anything technically wrong with them. I thought the price was fair ($40 for three drinks and fish/chips). Post-covid staff was incompletely following protocols - many had noses exposed/incorrectly wearing masks. I do not remember seeing any with masks blatantly off face. They have done the best they could with hoard ordering at the bar, and the outdoor tables felt safe enough/spread out enough. I might come back here again for one of their nightly specials which do look like a good deal. For starters, this was a Monday. There were a few people outside but mostly people were inside and it was maybe 1/4 full. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was really good. In the past I've been annoyed by the amount of time to order, get food, drinks but I think this place just gets overcrowded at times and it's hard to keep up. We tried this place for the first time. I met my fiancé at a bar and parked in the parking lot (which I had no idea that it was cedar creeks) and we went over to cedar creek grill for steak night. We have been customers of Cedar Creek for years. Have always had such good experiences until today. I ordered a ToGo order because I was around town and I didn't have a chance to eat there. I asked for a receipt which is something I've been practicing lately because too many restaurants have been doing people shady with their prices. To my surprise when I made it to my destination that they charged me a Togo fee, that is not what upset me the most. They charged me a credit card fee and I paid cash!! Needed a place with great food and would also let us bring our furry-friend to join us, so we decided on these guys. I've passed by many times but have never stopped because it's always so busy. We drove up Sunday morning and it literally looked like they were closed save for the one couple that was sitting outside, enjoying the cool breeze. We wanted to go this spot up the street, but due to it being Mardi Gras we forgot how horribly packed any place playing live music was going to be. So we decided to look for another spot. Drove past this gem on the way we had researched about 4 miles up the road and decided to just stop here instead. BEST decision all week! The bartender was so friendly. She was a jewel. Told her it was our first time here and she took the time to explain the process, even with a long line behind us... I know I'm a horrible person! We ordered 4lbs of crawfish. ($5 a lb for Mardi Gras) The butter and corn, sausage, and taters are .75 extra but who can go without the staples?? It was all amazing! Great flavor and good texture, which is super important. We also had the red beans and rice, which I would avoid if you are not into spicy food. But then again, if the red beans and rice aren't spicy then it's just not real! The patio was a great spot as the weather was much better than it's been. They have a couple stray cats so if you bring your pooch, (they are dog friendly) and they are not a cat lover, keep that in mind. This is a great spot. I was not disappointed at all!! I'm so disappointed in this place and really wanted to like it. It's Black owned and the outdoor patio ambience is great. However the (maskless) woman at the bar who took our order was so rude and curt. It was really off putting. We then had to wait 30 minutes for our food to come out. This was on Memorial Day I understand they're busier than usual. However half an hour for an order to arrive is too long. I will say that the nachos I ordered were great and my daughter loved her chicken tenders with fries. They just need to step it up on terms of service. read more

When the signs say "do not leave valuables in your vehicle", it really means it! My coworker had his truck broken into and laptop stolen. Some may argue that it's his fault for leaving items in his seat, and others may argue that there should have been outdoor lights in the parking lot (entire parking lot is pitch dark at night). Perhaps both are right. About ten cars were broken into that night. When the police arrived, they were not surprised. He was told that most of the break-ins occur during an after work happy hour because people generally store their work laptops in their vehicle. Just be aware and keep your guard up because one mistake can lead to missing items! In the end, it's not the restaurants responsibility. The atmosphere of the restaurant is really cool. Outdoor seating area doesn't have a Houston vibe because the country themed decor. Did I also forget to mention that the restaurant is surrounded by a real moat? Inside is very loud during happy hour and not suitable for conversations bigger than a group of 4 people. Half our table couldn't hear the opposing side so we had two different conversations going at the same time. Food is a bit over priced but not bad. Many of the items represent typical bar food such as chicken wings, burgers, and glorified nachos. I ordered the fish tacos and was actually surprised how tasty they were. I don't think two tacos and fries were worth the price of $12.98 + tip. I hit up Cedar Creek Bar & Grill for the first time on a Thursday for a networking event. Cedar Creek has a parking lot but it was full so I ended up finding street parking close by. Cedar Creek is on the same street as McIntryre's, Bungalow, and a bunch of other balls. What stands out is their patio, it's amazing. As you walk in, there are some steep stairs and a little creek. I can imagine all the drunk bros who've eaten their stuff walking in and out of the bar. The patio is expansive and it has a cool lodge feel. There's a bar outside and one inside. Inside, they were playing bingo. You can play for free and if you win, you get a free drink. They also had some pretty awesome specials. $2.50 Lonestar tall boys, Pearl, PBR, and a Buffalo Bayou beer and $4 Eddy's vodka. Great specials that last all night. I'm not sure what specials they have on other days, but if they're as good as Thursday's specials, I'm going to be showing up on the regular. read more

This was such a cool spot! The outdoor area is massive and pet friendly. We sat outside. You order everything from the bar, and they give you a number tent and someone brings your food to you. That would be the only thing I wasn't too thrilled about. The crawfish was a good size and delicious. If you get under 3lbs. You have to buy your corn, potatoes and sausage separately.
