Just walked out . Came for steak night waited for a hour and never got our food terrible service no one knew what happened . We were provided with a refund and nothing could be done about it . Ambiance is cool moderate outdoor noise great patio . Don't park your car and leave to go somewhere else they will tow you

    Quesadilla

I stopped by for drinks and food and ordered the quesadilla, which was just okay nothing bad, but nothing that really stood out either. The service was also fine, average overall. One thing to note is that this place can be a bit hit or miss when it comes to getting orders right, which has happened more than once. It's an alright spot to hang out, but consistency could definitely be improved.

    Damage from towing

I had a terrible experience at Cedar Creek. After having a couple of drinks as a paying customer, I came outside to find my car had been towed from their lot. It cost me $315 to get it back, and the tow left my car damaged -- which I have documented and have a current case with police over this. While sorting this out, I was even told by someone that the restaurant has connections with the towing company, which, if true, makes the situation even worse. This whole strip is known for towing, and Cedar Creek doesn't do anything to protect or warn its guests. What should have been a fun night turned into an expensive and frustrating ordeal. Don't bring your business to this place -- they will tow your car even if you ate there. And damage your property along with it.

The key to enjoying Cedar Creek is to find parking early and bring / meet a bunch of friends to enjoy the open seating and rowdy environment. Service and crummy bathrooms will always be the sore spot, but as long as it's understood right away, this can be a pretty good venue to enjoy a few drinks and a few bites. Good weather is also key. The patio is vast with drunkards and dbaggery, but the good news is that it's so large that there are plenty of places to park a group. The drinks are always flowing with multiple indoor / outdoor bars with the latter being a bit limited on selection. If I need something simple like a beer, a shot, or a frozen drink, I can get what I want outside. If I need anything more complicated than this, then it's an inside (bar) job. The weekends, especially game days can make this place a cluster. The parking is one of the bigger challenges and the picnic tables can be a little gross at times, depending on who was sitting there previously. Always shoot for their happy hour, which on days like Mondays, is all day. The food can be a gamble, but if intoxicated all the burgers, nachos, fries, wings and frito pies will taste wonderful. To avoid any potential disappointment, I'd recommend knocking a few back before diving face first into any of the food.

    Steak special on Mondays

It's always a good time to the Monday steak special and $1 wing special is my favorite. The wings are so crunchy. Steak is always cooked perfectly. The bartenders are quick. Plenty of inside seating with a lot of tvs. The outside is cool with many tables, good scenery, dog friendly (they even have dog items on the menu). It's a chill spot, good for grabbing a drink and watching the game or catching up with friends. There are couches inside too for cozy seating. Food comes out fast. Normal prices. The frito pie and empanadas weren't my favorite but everything else I've had was good.

Everybody that works here is decently nice. Also there's a lot of area to run around if you have kids. Also having a toddler, it can be quite the place when it's laden with kids pouring rocks in their shoes and over their bodies. Also dumping rocks into the "creek" using the ashtray holders was there. The water is dangerously close and someone could fall in so watch your kids. Creek is obviously man built, but it exists. A good place for a cold beer. Had some crawfish and Brussels sprouts. Got there at 530 and the lady said they were out of sausage for the crawfish. Sad day. Brussels were okay. I didn't expect much so about average and maybe a little under on the food. Great patio for enjoying the outdoors though.

Street tacos. Order of four. Sauce was good.

Lots of tables. Great outdoor eating space. Had street tacos. Very good. Good service.

Chicken fried steak seasoned with curry
    christopher m.

I ordered the chicken fried steak. It came out and was tiny. It also was seasoned with curry powder. This throws off the entire flavor of what a chicken fried steak is supposed to taste like. It's almost repulsive. I don't know which one of Osama's uncles is running this place, but they need to get it together.

We had mixed feelings about this one. It seemed to be a fun place to hang out. It had an outdoor vibe even on the inside. Flies and even a critter crawling on the order counter. That wasn't a great start . The place was busy and it was counter service. You get all your own stuff. The food was ok but it seems more a bar vibe than a food service place. Probably won't go back but it's more of a younger party hangout. They had a lot of outside seating and it is pup friendly. Give it a try, might be you're thing. On to the next place.

You know I loved the vibes. They played really great music and had good bartenders but things were all over the place. My order got misplaced and people were often confused. The quality of the food is not worth the price but I do like the variety of the menu. I was not able to get pictures of all the meals due to how hectic it was it was but I'll still provide my ratings based on our experience: *Mango Mimosa - 3/5 *Watermelon Frozen Cocktail - 4/5 *Crawfish - 4/5 (they charge for the seasoning and the butter!!!). The sausage was the most expensive and it was low quality and a no go for me :/ *Elote Quesadilla - 5/5 *Chips & Queso - 5/5 *Side House Salad - 5/5

Ask the Community - Cedar Creek

Is Cedar Creek kid friendly? If so, what time do they stop allowing kids in?

Very kid friendly. I don't think there is a "No kids" time.

What comes in the burger bowl?

Served over side salad or quinoa & kale

Is the outdoor or indoor seating open as of today June 27th? :)

Yes it's open but flies are everywhere outside

So is Cedar Creek dog friendly or what? Yelp says yes and I see plenty of reviews that mention dogs, but their answering machine says they aren't pet friendly.

I was just there about a month ago and there were definitely dogs in the outside patio area...

Is there a billiards table here?

For years there were no dogs allowed but they recently obtained their patio permit. Same with Onion Creek. They now have signs posted that dogs on leash are welcome.

The fried chicken was well balanced, good brine and a crispy delicate batter. The bread with butter and jam was also quite decent. Seems to be a martini place but I had a Manhattan and really enjoyed it, it was a strong drink but very tasty. The pappardelle with the wide noodles was so fun and there was lots of parm which I liked, and the lemon zest was a nice touch. The squash was soft and I loved the ricotta. The campanelle was really unique with the crawfish and the spicy sauce, the noodle shape was so fun. The cheeseburger is tiny but mighty, super juicy and cheesy. The fries were perfectly crispy. Mango sorbet was packed full of mango flavor! Really enjoyed this spot, can't believe it took me so long to get here. Probably best to get a reservation. Small parking lot available.

They were pretty short-staffed when I arrived - I noticed quite a few patrons lining up before a staff member helped them get their seats. We had a bit of a wait as well. The restaurant looked the same - spacious with a variety of seating options and a cute bar in the corner. Once we were seated we were excited to order! We opted to share a few items: the savory scallion waffle, the shrimp toast, and the Vietnamese beef dip. The waffle was as delicious as I remembered - the savory butter paired SO well and is such a unique taste! The shrimp toast came out next - I loved how crunchy it was and how cleanly they baked the shrimp into the toast! The candied nuts were such a nice pairing. And lastly, the beef dip. I was surprised to see a sandwich (I'm not sure what exactly I was expecting after reading the description) but I truly enjoyed the thin slices of the beef, and dipping it in the sauce was divine. The bread just soaked it up and it was so flavorful! We wanted to get dessert before we ordered, but were glad we held off after the sheer volume of food! I was pretty stuffed and still took a shrimp toast to go. All in all another delicious meal here! I'd love to come back and try more of their menu next time.

I wasn't too impressed the first time, and this visit certainly confirmed my initial thoughts. For La Lucha's Happy Hour, you get a choice between 2 types of oysters ($1.50 each). These were great - do this on a weekday before 6pm and you should be able to grab a table without a reservation. Barely even after we started eating the oysters, the waitress was already asking if we wanted to order more, instead of allowing us to just enjoy our food without interruptions. The menus they gave at our table were inconsistent and had different menu items. I had to ask for clarification if the redfish was on the menu since it wasn't on two of the three menus given to us. So, quality control was a miss. Rest of the menu... is limited. Everything was so greasy, from the fried chicken, the redfish, and shrimp tacos. * Red fish with pecans - 6/10. The fish did not taste like it was seasoned with salt. It was well cooked, not dry at all, but it lacked any sort of seasoning aside from the butter and pecans on top. * Shrimp Tacos - 4/10. I think I prefer Taco Bell over this one. The shell was greasy, not crisp (felt like it was stale), and I was confused with the combination of American Cheese and shrimp. They also added hot sauce or spicy salsa in the tacos - so a warning if you can't handle spice (not mentioned on the menu). * Half Fried Chicken - 5/10. The chicken was moist. Been here once before and it was quite dry, so I'm glad this was cooked well. You get 2 thighs, a wing, and a drumstick (4pc). Again, there was a lack of any seasoning on the chicken itself & the exterior. Sadly, the sauce that we picked was not the best either - oyster mayo. It would've been nice to try the others, but the half order came with one sauce. The seasonal jam that was available was the peach jam. It went well with the biscuits (half order comes with 2 biscuits, any extra is $1.50). For my people who get cold in restaurants, I would recommend bringing a light jacket since they turn the A/C up.

Millie's is a popular neighborhood seafood restaurant in Houston's Oak Forest area, known for Southern and coastal-inspired dishes, craft cocktails, and being genuinely family-friendly. They have private parking spots out front and a large outdoor patio facing the street. We walked in without a reservation and were seated right away. They brought out a high-chair for our son immediately. Inside, the restaurant was busy, but it was a colder morning so the front patio wasn't being used much. They also have a separate backyard patio with a turfed, enclosed area where kids can safely play, which is a huge plus for families. We ordered from the brunch menu. [BRUNCH] +Lobster Roll for $38 - Maine lobster poached in butter, served in a brioche-style lobster bun with fries. My wife ordered this with fries, and I ordered the same dish with a Caesar salad. This lobster roll was excellent. They served the lobster folded into thick Texas toast and brought extra butter on the side. Easily one of the best lobster rolls I've had. It's definitely pricey, but absolutely worth it as an occasional splurge. The fries and salad were good, but the lobster roll completely stole the show. - 5/5 [KID'S MENU] +Basket of Fried Shrimp for $7 - Served with fries or fruit. My son didn't eat much of the shrimp, but I thought it was solid. He ate all the fruit. He had already eaten at home, so hunger may have been a factor. For the price, this was perfectly fine. - 4/5 Overall, Millie's Kitchen & Cocktails really impressed me. The lobster roll alone is worth returning for, and now that I've seen how seafood-forward the menu is, I'm excited to try more dishes on future visits. We then went with the Crispy Cauliflower which was one of my favorite dishes of the night. It was smothered in a gochujang aioli and reminded me of a general tso chicken or something. Very good. Thai Chili Rubs was next and these were so good as well. I'm a sucker for all the Asian flavor profiles and this hit that. For my entree, I ended up with the Pork Chop w/ Chutney. This was a huge chop on a layer of apple sauce and a wonderful chutney that contrasted the sweet sauce. Every layer worked well together. I will say the pork chop was just slightly over cooked, in some parts. It also came with green beans which was cooked just right. No room for dessert as we had another party to head to. Overall, I'm glad my friends picked this spot for their birthday celebration. I am now in the know about this place and will consider coming back in the future.

D'Alba was one of my favorite dining experiences in Chattanooga…read more The outdoor seating area is thoughtfully designed for both humans and dogs. The patio is covered, lined with beautiful plants, and equipped with fans that help keep everything cool and comfortable. Even on warmer days, it feels like a relaxing place to settle in for a long meal. The food was fantastic from start to finish. We shared hummus as an appetizer, followed by grilled salmon, and somehow still found room for sorbet for dessert. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Most importantly, my humans ordered me my very own side of grilled chicken. As a professional food critic, I can confirm that it disappeared immediately. Another nice touch is the outdoor family area. There is a dedicated space for kids to play along with a large TV so parents can relax while keeping an eye on their little ones. It gives the restaurant a welcoming atmosphere without feeling chaotic. Between the excellent food, comfortable patio, and dog-friendly attitude, D'Alba is an easy recommendation for anyone dining with a pup. Dogba's verdict: Beautiful patio, outstanding food, my own grilled chicken entrée, and enough plants to make a tiny Italian Greyhound feel very sophisticated.

I wasn't in the mood for one of the specialty pizzas loaded with toppings, so I kept it simple with a pepperoni pizza, and it was excellent. The crust had a perfect char and great flavor. We also tried the burrata and oysters. The burrata was very good. The oysters were Gulf Coast oysters, and I personally prefer East Coast oysters, so I probably wouldn't order those again, but that's just personal preference. The staff was friendly across the board, and our server William was especially personable and attentive without being overbearing. Overall, really enjoyable lunch spot and I'll definitely be coming back.

Parking: Tons of parking here surprisingly, both a paved lot and a pebble lot. We had a reservation for 3 at 7PM and were promptly seated at a booth after a small line of people. Order-to-Appetizer: 15 Minutes Order-to-Entrees: 30 MInutes For three people, we ordered: Dairymaid's Cheese Board (4/5): Comes with four cheeses, five small pieces of sourdough, honey-spritzed grapes, green Granny Smith apples, and fava beans. I wish they gave us more bread with the cheeses and preserves. The four cheeses provided were slices of a five-year aged Cheddar, Oveja Anejo, Tomarashi, and Gruyere. I enjoyed the Tomarashi the most. It is a bit pricey for what you get, but very sharable and a great starter. Shady Acres Pizza with prosciutto (3.5/5): I really don't like getting thin crust pizza that isn't crispy, and unfortunately this was a soggy thin crust pizza. The toppings themselves were very flavorful, and the end parts were crispy enough. 5 Cheese Calzone with chicken (3.5/5): Whew, five cheeses makes for a salty calzone. The side marinara sauce provides a good balance. It's very filling. Chicken might have been a good addition because prosciutto might have made it too salty. It was larger than expected which was nice for sharability. Service was kind of iffy. They were pretty rude with not providing us utensils and seeming almost angry that we asked for some for the cheese board. They mixed up our order (we asked for chicken on the pizza and prosciutto on the calzone and they flipped it) and seemed almost apologetically serving us afterwards. Overall, would recommend as a relaxed date spot at a reasonable price. I paid via inKind and applied referral credit with no issues. Would come back with inKind credit, probably not at full price.
