Exceptional taste and complex flavors with the vinaigrette and and the chili and coconut and mango. Worked exceptionally well! The bread and balsamic dip were excellent of addictive...loved them. Had to stop. Pappardelle was the Inbetween... we shared that and it was cooked perfectly. The shoulder was tender and the pappardelle al dente with the tomatoes and mushrooms and spinach a perfect combo. Dairy cheese drew out the taste! Loved it!!! Just did a bit of it and left the rest for later. The finale was the double cut pork chop. Yes. Nothing less than spectacular. Creamy polenta tA cooked perfectly. Cauliflower crispy and flavorful. What a great place! My husband and I came here last night for dinner. We were greeted by a very nice host who offered us a table in the patio area or inside. We chose the inside of the restaurant because it was a bit more quiet in there. But, we changed our mind and asked to be move to the patio, we liked the ambiance there. We were served delicious bread warm, with a yummy olive oil and vinegar dip. We shared a large Caesar salad, ordered 2 glasses of red wine, for our entree I got short ribs with mushroom risotto and my husband got the pork chop. Both were very good, and large quantities! We got lemon meringue pie and coffee for dessert. The entire meal was really good, and service was tops! Everyone is so nice there. Anxious to go back to this great place! read more

What went right. The service was excellent. The calamari was good. My husband's drinks were great. What went wrong: I ordered the chicken. It came with gnocchi and English peas. I tasted those first. They were so greasy I didn't bother tasting the rest of the dish. The waiter returned the dish to remedy the very foul tasting greasy sides. The dish returned with overcooked English peas, tasteless mash potatoes and unseasoned chicken. Horrible. Worst meal in a very long time. I took one bite of each item and sent it back. They did not charge me but our dinner was ruined. We were looking forward to a Saturday night summer dinner at one of our favorite restaurants as we are locals. So disappointed that the food quality has declined so badly. The wine list offered very few moderately priced wine and even fewer moderately priced Napa wines when there are so many to choose from. They were out of the one I ordered. I was given an affangatto as a peace offering. It was not a high end restaurant affangatto. I make a far better one at home. Dined here for the first time and we love this place! Came for my birthday and had an early dinner. We were acquainted with the shops and restaurants right on Main Street in downtown Napa, however Celadon is actually not physically on 555 Main Street. That address is a hotel. You need to turn on a corner a bit and there's a sign directing you to the restaurant. Once we entered the area, we were greeted by a beautiful entryway of lush foliage. We made reservations ahead of time, and were the first ones there for dinner. Due to Covid, they require masks and checked everyone's temperature on the forehead or wrist prior to being seated. We admired the decor and ambiance. So beautiful and well appointed. Since we sat in the outside patio on a Fall evening, there was a bit of a slight breeze as nightfall was beginning, so I suggest to dress accordingly. Our server, Adriana, was very nice and attentive. She answered any questions we had and made sure our dining experience went well. We got our waters and ordered calamari as an appetizer. The calamari was cooked perfectly, not oily or rubbery. Waitstaff came out with freshly warm mini ciabatta rolls with oil and balsamic vinegar to dip. Yum. We then ordered our entrees of roasted salmon and filet mignon. I had the roasted salmon which came with small roasted potatoes and veggies. All was cooked to perfection and I liked how the salmon was pan seared to give that little bit of crunch to it. My husband had the filet mignon which came with veggies and mashed potatoes. He enjoyed it very much. Afterwards, we had the warm spiced apple cake with a scoop of gelato. It was very good, however the cake wasn't warm. It was served room temperature; hence, minus the one star. All in all, we enjoyed our dining experience at Celadon very much and will return. COVID-19 dining is indoors, in their greenhouse/atrium setup. Tables are distanced and servers wear masks and frequently change gloves. All place settings, including the tablecloth, are replaced between parties and they also wipe down the chairs. We arrived for lunch on a Sunday and there was no wait. We ordered the soy-braised pork belly (served with watermelon cubes and was absolutely scrumptious *chefs kiss*), the american style kobe beef burger with fries (seasoned and grilled to perfection), and a short stack of pancakes to carbo-load before more wine tasting in the afternoon. Service was fantastic! Our waiter was very attentive and followed all safety and sanitary protocols. Our water never fell below 3/4ths of the glass because they were refilling it so frequently. I loved the outdoor dining set up! There is a beautiful arch and garden that leads to the green house-like seating, and inside is a fireplace and chandeliers. The only thing that was odd were the size of the tables, which were abnormally large, but they were still spaced apart from other tables enough. The food was good. We got the Asian sticky ribs, NY steak, and salmon. To start, we got the stuffed squash and the soup of the day- butternut squash bisque. We were able to get a reservation for 8 people for Sunday brunch during 4th of July weekend. There's a parking garage nearby, so you can park there. First off, the entrance is absolutely stunning! Definitely picture-worthy if you're looking for a new profile photo. We checked in with the host & got seated right away. Everything on the menu looked good, so it was definitely hard to decide. Eventually, we decided to do family style so we could try everything. Some of our fave dishes: -asian 'sticky' ribs - Tasty and you can share this dish! -soy braised pork belly - This was delicious. The flavor was on point. Loved the watermelon that comes with this too. -pan roasted boneless half chicken - Probably the one that I kept reaching for. Such a cute restaurant! I love the ambiance. We were here for a Saturday brunch. This was listed in one of the hotel magazines in Calistoga so we had to try it. Reservations are recommended, but they take walk ins. I ordered the chicken and waffles. HUGE piece of fried chicken. My first thought was "i can't possibly eat all this." But, after the first bite of Crispy, crunchy, juicy chicken, I was in heaven. And I am not a quitter.The chicken was seasoned nicely, and it was even garnished with deep fied rosemary and deep fried lemon slices. Imagine that. Nice touch! I tried to eat those, but not really edible. The syrup was served on the side and was slightly spiced. It pared well with the chicken. I ate every bite. The waffle was a nice, thick, bownwed waffle, and it was amazing. I couldn't finish it all, but it was good. My friend had the veggie omelet with toast. We chose Celadon for a birthday dinner. It read as a really good restaurant when we found it online and it certainly was that. We were warmly greeted by everyone on the staff that crossed our paths. The restaurant wasn't full when we arrived and the hostess was nice enough to give us some options for seating rather than just plopping us down where they decided on prior to our arrival. That was a nice touch I always notice. If we had one issue with staff was the bussers were a tad aggressive trying to clear plates but it's hard to be negative about people who are just trying to work hard and be efficient. The restaurant itself is quite beautiful. From the walkway leading to the main door and the rustic feel of the main dining room and a more modern feel in the bar dining area. The place just feels good when you walk around it. My friend and I are always big fans of nice restaurant bathrooms and Celadon is definitely one of those. The food isn't over the top or groundbreaking. Its simply good food done very well. We shared a very good salad with burrata, squash, and greens. There was a salmon special which we ordered along with a braised lamb shank as our entrees. Both dishes were excellent. I could have used a tad more salt on the lamb but that's being nitpicky. We didn't finish our meals only to save room for dessert which was our favorite course, which normally doesn't happen for us. I had recently been to Carbone in Las Vegas which had the best cheesecake either of us have ever had and the one at Celadon was right up there with it. However, we would argue that the lemon meringue pie was even better. Needless to say, were both happy with our desserts. Overall, Celadon was a nice surprise for both of us and we would wholeheartedly come back again as well as suggest it to our friends. Not that we were romantic in any way but this definitely is a restaurant that evokes romance within their walls. I came here with another couple as well as my husband to celebrate my husbands birthday 2 weeks ago. Indoor dining had just started up again but we opted to still dine outside. Yay for temperature checks before getting seated! We actually specifically came for the watermelon pork belly salad that we had here a few years back but were disappointed in they had just taken it off their menu 3 days before we came. Definitely will make note to come back before watermelon season is over. We got 3 appetizers to share, 4 entrees (3 of which were different), 2 bowls of soup, 2 desserts and a couple rounds of drinks. Appetizers: pork belly lettuce wraps, stone fruit bruchetta, and calamari were all delicious!! Honestly, next time, I think I'll just order a couple of appetizers for myself for my meal as I like them better than the entrees. Entrees: two of us got the bone in pork chop, 1 parpadelle pasta and 1 lamb shank. The pork chop was way too salty for all of our's liking and ended up only eating the brussel sprouts and a couple of bites and took the rest to-go. The pasta was tasty and my friend enjoyed her lamb (I'm not a lamb fan). Desserts: warm chocolate brownie with ice cream and banana creme brulee. It was a good decision, as the portions were certainly big enough to be quite filling. Both the chicken and the porkchop were very delicious and cooked to perfection. They certainly know how to cook big meat items here. The roasted chicken had delicious crispy skin, juicy meat, and paired beautifully with the gnocchi and mushrooms. The porkchop was similarly succulent, cooked to a perfect medium and just very yummy. I ordered the chuck burger with french fries and it tasted like a normal burger, nothing particularly standout for the price I paid. French fries were crispy and tasty at least. BEAUTIFUL & STUNNING! The attention to detail when it comes to presentation and to making sure the flavors pair well and if to contrast, melded well. -Lamb shank was very huge with no gamey taste. -Flat iron steak was done to medium rare, soft, juicy, with the chimichurri sauce giving that extra flavor enhancer while on top of a bed of soft, thick mashed potatoes and perfectly charred asparagus. -Flash Fried calamari was definitely flash fried with the right amount of fried heaviness but just enough to still taste the flavors of the sea. -Not pictured is the Chicken Picatta which was a nice tart/glaze flavor. Reservation placed beforehand for a party of 6 and indoor dining. My group shared the flash fried calamari and the crispy cauliflower appetizers. Everyone enjoyed both. Both appetizers were crispy. The calamari had a small kick of spice from the chipotle chili. The bread was served hot. A seasoned oil was provided for the bread. The oil was garlicky and the flavor was reminiscent of herbs used in pizza sauce. After all the cauliflower was taken, I dipped my bread into the honey and ricotta that was left on it's dish. I ordered the Asian sticky ribs with regular fries. The fries were good since they were served hot and weren't too salty. The ribs were definitely sticky but were a bit too salty. I wanted to eat the ribs with a bowl of white rice to help balance the saltiness. My bf ordered the special which was risotto. It had asparagus and came with 3 prawns on top. He said the prawns were good-seasoned well and that the risotto was good. Everyone else liked their entrees, which included the pan roasted boneless half chicken, pappardelle pasta, and moraccan-braised lamb shank (no photos since I didn't want to impose). We had brunch here on a Sunday, and it was pretty underwhelming. I can see why the IG folks like the ambiance, and service was attentive, but the food was extremely lacking. I ordered a chuck burger and got a very dry, charred mess. They didn't ask how I wanted it, but it wouldn't have mattered because no one could save this. The pork hash was equally disappointing and a soggy, deconstructed mess. And while the dining room wasn't full, it took our food an extremely long time to get out. I might give this place another shot for dinner, but I don't know. The Napa Valley has a bunch of great restaurants, and this one just wasn't it. read more

I heard good things about this restaurant so I thought I give it a try before visiting the wineries. We had brunch and enjoyed the semi-outdoor seating area along with the great service. The food however was okay and nothing that excited my palette. We started with their banana bread which was topped with 2 bananas for decoration. To my surprise the banana bread didn't have a memorable banana taste to say the least. For my main meal I ordered the hamburger that was approximately $18 hence I expected a really nice juicy burger. This was something I was definitely in the mood for but again to my disappointment the burger was rather small (it looked like it really shrunk in width and height) and was dry instead of juicy. The condiments that were accompany the burger was a lettuce and tomato. I was going to take a photo of the burger and in hindsight I wish I did to illustrate my description and disappoint over the meal. Note to self in the future. :-) My other choice on the menu was the ribs for $29 and upon exiting the restaurant I saw a patron having it and that looked delicious. Give the restaurant a try for brunch for the environment and service and you may like the food. If I'm in the neighborhood I may try their dinner menu. read more

I really wanted to like this place, and I've rarely been disappointed dining in Napa, but Celadon was a "miss" for me. On a positive note, the restaurant looks really nice. It looks like the perfect place to have tea and crumpets. You're inside, but with the greenery and plants on the windows and overhead, it gives you the sense you're outside. We ordered the chicken and waffles, and the omelette. Or maybe it was a scramble. I don't remember. It was off the brunch menu. Perhaps it was too close to the period where they break until dinner, but the waffle was soggy and the chicken wasn't good. It's been a couple weeks since I've gone. I forgot to write the review after I left. It probably was a good thing, because my disappointment has waned. The omelette was meh, at best. I really wanted to like this place.
