We were randomly in the area running errands around lunch time and happened to wander by Ceviche House. As a huge fan of Peruvian food and being hungry we decided to stop in and see what it was like. We didn't try a lot since we were just looking for a light lunch, so we got a pitcher of Chicha Morada, Ceviche Mixto, and the Anticuchos de Corazon (all of our favorite Peruvian dishes). Everything was great! The ceviche was fresh and tasty with just the right amount of spice, the anitcuchos were so tender and delicious, and the Chicha was so refreshing! Everyone inside was super friendly and very attentive and the atmosphere matched the quality of the food and service. So glad we wandered into this great place that you could easily miss as it is somewhat hidden in the Publix plaza. We will definitely be heading back if we're in the area again! read more

This was one of my best experiences at any restaurant, ever. Our server, Matt, went above and beyond to make our day. My boyfriend and I asked him countless questions about all the food options (we were not too familiar with Peruvian cuisine). He patiently and happily explained several dishes and made great recommendations. He was so friendly! The food was delicious. We had the Vuelve a La Vida - which was SO TASTY. MMM! The flavors and textures were fantastic. We also had the Aji de Gallina which was creamy and hit the spot. It was a filling portion (even though we shared!). Looking for another new and interesting place to dine and Yelp came through again. Located in a strip mall on OBT, Ceviche House has what many other establishments in this area do not - character. This is a smallish dining space, but its red walls, dark wood tables, oil paintings and interesting decorations make it a very interesting spot. For my meal, I chose the standard/traditional ceviche with white fish, red onions and spices. It came with boiled corn kernels and a piece of cooked sweet potato. The portion size was large, and could easily satisfy two. The ceviche liquid was very flavorful and was in perfect balance and accompanied the white fish perfectly. My wife has the seafood and rice dish. Again, a huge portion (this could served three) and the rice was cooked perfectly with a generous portion of seafood (Calamari, Shrimp and more). It may have been a bit salty, but that is more of a personal thought. The rest of the menu was large and had a number of options for steak, seafood and chicken and cannot wait to try more. Wow! First a disclaimer...I am no big fan of Orlando, or Orlando cuisine. Who ever nicknamed it "the happiest place on earth" should be tarred and feathered. But here we are over winter break for a soccer tournament. After a couple of days of typically bland Disney area food, we Yelped and found Ceviche House. A small but very authentic Peruvian eatery located in a suburban shopping center. We walked in and were seated very promptly and warmly. The place was packed, but the steady stream of patrons seemed to only wait a few minutes to be seated. We started with Ceviche Mixto, a delicious dish of perfectly marinated fish and other seafood, ordered medium spicy it had more than enough kick. For our entrees my wife ordered Arroz con Mariscos, a huge portion of Pallea style rice loaded with tasty calamari, shrimp, mussels and fish, excellent! I ordered the Currasco Pobre, again, a very large portion of skirt steak grilled with perfect seasoning, it came with a mound of freshly cut fries, and a mound out white rice topped with a fried egg, with nicely fried ...we washed everything down with Crystal , a crisp Peruvian beer. I did notice after ordering that most locals were having the Sangria. We finished up splitting the Tres Leches. Came here based on the great reviews and recommendations from friends. The night I went we entered, ordered a pitcher of sangria and ordered our meals. After about 30 minutes into our wait the waitress comes out to tell us they are unable to make our food because they are having problems with the kitchen and there is no gas to cook the food. The only food we could have is what is already prepared and in the fridge. I find it odd that it took them so long to mention anything was going wrong in the kitchen. I find it poor customer service that we didn't even receive some kind of discount on the 20 dollars we had spent on the sangria for the inconvenience. And that the waitress was more defensive than apologetic about the situation. Until I get to try this restaurant on a good day, I have to stick to a 1/5. read more

This is Peruvian cuisine, and it's good. I've not had a lot of Peruvian food, but I've had good food, and this is good stuff. I friend prepared (real) ceviche for me about 8 years ago and I never forgot how it tasted. I had the Ceviche de Pescado, bingo! I had the Parihuela and Papa o Cassava a la Huancaina for appetizers. These were totally new, and very delicious as well. Did not order wine with this meal, but they have a great wine list as well if you are into parings. I remember a lot of reds, so pair your fare. I kids like to experiment with different food as well, so we'll be going back soon with them in tow. I've been a customer for more than 5 yrs and it's an amazing taste, but the reason I'm giving 2 stars and not 5 is because last visit on 3/7/22 I went to celebrate my Birthday with 4 other adults and the waitresses taking care of us was changed to a new immature "boy" and really got us so upset that we all left! He ask about how hot we wanted the Seviche and he start been to sarcastic and continued been a jerk, we had to wait about 7 min to be able to order a beer when I ask his "can you get the girl for us? We want to order! and he went to get her and then he came back it's me! There was only one table with about 6 peoples ready to leave and this dome guy had to ruin my special day! This place is off the beaten tourist track in Orlando and is well worth the drive. They have the most complex flavored ceviche I have ever tasted. It was amazing. This is the best Peruvian food I've ever had in the US! I was in Orlando for a week for business and had to return to this restaurant twice because the food was so delicious! The ceviche was very fresh. The anticucho was flavorful The chaufa de mariscos was piled with tasty seafood. They were out of seco de cordero during my visit but the seco de res was just as tasty! The beef was so tender you don't even need a knife. To top it all, the servers were attentive and the service was very fast. I believe this place has good reviews because of their seafood (which we did not tried). My family and I got lomo a lo pobre, milanesa de pollo, tallarines a la huancaina. The 3 dishes were missing taste. The service sucks, took forever to take our order. Worse of all, tip is included on the bill without them telling you so beware. Loved the (free) corn appetizer (very peruvian). I had the mixed sea ceviche - it was a large portion, very good. It surprised me with the zing of fresh ginger, but it was great. This was my first experience with Peruvian cuisine. And I have to say, I came away wanting more. It's a small restaurant and I can definitely see there being times you might have to wait outside. Luckily we got right in before a big rush of people. Service was relaxed but friendly. They didn't clear plates but honestly it seems like their average customer takes their time too. We ordered the 'vuelve da vida' as a starter and it was very good. The presentation was delightfully tacky. The 'tiger milk' was delicious. For my entree I ordered a dish with stir-fried beef hearts and vegetables served over french fries. I'm not sure why so many of the dishes come with fries but it works. The dish was fantastic. The heart was tender and flavorful and the sauce was great. My wife ordered the chaufa de pescado which is a fried rice dish. She loved it. The portions here are HUGE. My wife and I agreed that next time we will just settle on one entree as I barely got halfway through my food. If you like having leftovers, this is the place to go. Also keep the portion sizes in mind when you see the entree prices. Most are 12-18$, but that is perfectly reasonable given how much food you are getting. I have very mixed feelings about this restaurant, and I feel very conflicted about writing a review, but here goes: I really wanted to like this place. I really did. I was even willing to ignore it's OBT-stripmall location, because once you get inside, it's just so freakin' charming. The decor is warm and inviting. Upon being seated, it's no secret that the menu was HUGE. Any Peruvian dish you can imagine is listed on the menu. Service was very fast, and the staff was super friendly. What disappointed me the most was the authenticity and flavor of the food. The food has good taste. That's not the problem. We agreed that if you've never had true Peruvian food, then you'd probably love this place. Maybe we're Peruvian-food-snobs, I don't know. The issue is also not with the portions, because those are overwhelming. But when you don't want to bother bringing any of your leftovers home, that's a red flag, isn't it? We ordered the "conchitas a la parmesana" which translates to "clams a la parmesan". Typically, these are served on the half-shell, to validate their freshness. Here, they were very obviously frozen, and that does affect their texture and consistency. The ceviche was along the same pages. Although the seasoning was good and tasty, it was evident the fish was not fresh (which is kind of a deal-breaker when it comes to ceviche). It was tough, chewy and just not what you'd expect from a restaurant that has "ceviche" in their title. Remember, we really wanted to like this place. So halfway through the meal, we said, "Ok, so maybe the seafood isn't good. Let's wait for the beef plates." We ordered the lomo saltado and the churrasco a la huancaina. Again, the authenticity of the flavors just weren't there. It's not to say it tasted bad, it just wasn't "legit". We did get the lucuma ice cream for dessert and it was absolutely delicious. We joked that we would definitely come back only for the dessert, and there's probably a half-truth to that. Like I said, it wasn't terrible. But I won't be bringing my Peruvian parents and friends here. read more

I came here on a Friday night which was super busy, had to wait at the bar for a table, it took a while...we got seated and it was a good view for the flamingo performance. I must say their sangria was very good both red and white! Their tapas are also amazing but I was not a fan of the chorizo and yellow rice, when I received it, it looked very oily I couldn't see myself finishing it. The server was not so great from the beginning but towards the end it got worse, which is why I'm giving this place a 3 star.
